Photoshop keeps asking me to register

Photoshop CS6 keeps asking me to register, I use Design Standard, and it's the only app giving me trouble so far.

I need some information from you to debug this:
1.Can you send a screenshot of the registration screen?
2.Please send me the logs amt3.log and oobelib.log from the /tmp folder.
3.I would also be needing your adobe id.
You can send the logs/screenshot to me at [email protected]

I'm having the same problem with my recent install of Production Premium Suite CS6 ... but I'm on a Windows 7 64bit OS.  It's getting to be annoying.
Need a solution here and I'm not seeing one.
I don't have a permissions problem, I'm the only users and my account is Admin.  I'm using a retail boxed English version.
    Thanks, Rob.

    Jeff,
I'm a software engineer as well as a video producer, creator, animator, etc.  I know a thing or two about permissions on a Windows OS.
Creating a "new" user account is NOT a good idea, it will basically put an "end user" into a new context -- meaning they will only see their applications (and in some cases drivers) that were installed under full trust or if they selected "everyone" for any of their other applications (leaving them with a new desktop with nothing available).  Either way, it's most likely only going to confuse people if they take your suggestion.
There is another "Administrator" account for Windows 7, but to make it "active" requires what I would consider an OS hack and not a good idea.
Another possible solution is to uninstall CS6 (everything) and then right click on the Installer file and select "Run as administrator" ... but if that is required to make the CS6 installer work, then that clearly points to an installer problem and not an end user problem.
Before suggesting end users do anything to their computer, it would be nice to have an Adobe QA person or Adobe Installer Engineer confirm that their is not a problem with the CS6 installer.  I know it gets ugly when there is a problem with the installer and fixing a bad permissions setting can be a nightmare as standard "updates" can't fix an installer.  But either way, lets get positive proof this is a permissions problem before coming up with possible solutions.
I have plenty of applications installed on my computer (Visual Studio, MS SQL, Cinema 4D, etc. etc.) all under the same user account and none of these products are having permission issues.  If there were a permissions problem with my user account, I can assure you Visual Studio 2010 would be affected, it isn't, it's working perfectly.
I know this is going to be difficult issue to resolve, about the only additional information I can provide on my side is that I did have CS4 Photoshop Extended installed prior to installing CS6 Production Premium suite.  When/If I have more time, I'll try to trace execution and see if I can find the thread source that's repeating this "update registration" process and try to provide more info as I discover it.  But in the mean time it would be most helpful if you can get an Adobe Engineers attention on this matter and hopefully bumped up in priority ... assuming of course that the registration process governs application usage?
If I were a hazard a guess it's one of two things:
    1.  Security exception when communicating with a web client (aka via Browser) and not get any results back from a completed registration
    2.  Security exception when trying to write a valid registration return value to a registry location that the application account isn't permitted to access under current user account's permissions
    Thanks, Rob.

  • Photoshop keeps asking to Register

Hi, I've got Adobe Photoshop CS3 on Snow Leopard and it runs perfectly but everytime I open it it keeps asking me to register; really getting annoying.
Is there any easy way other than reinstalling it to get rid of this message, i've already registered and it is a legit copy
    Please help,
    John.

I have the same problem with CS4 and Snow Leopard. I've tried reregistering, checking "Don't Ask Again" and "Register Later." The message still appears each and every time I launch any of the CS4 apps.
    What should I do?

Hi, I downloaded, activated, registered both on my laptop and desktop Adobe CC InDesign and Illustrator.   I am paying a monthly fee.  The problem is, when I start my program, it keeps asking me to register my program and it says my free trial is over.
Can you check into this for me.

If you want Adobe to check it you'll need to contact them (use CHAT) but you could try checking whether you just need to SIGN IN to your apps.

  • Photoshop keeps asking me to renew subscription even though it's up to date.

Photoshop keeps asking me to "renew your subscription", even though it's up to date.
When I click "Try Again" it says "Thank You Your subscription to Adobe Photoshop CS6 is now active. Click Continue to use your product".
But when I click "Continue", the whole process starts over and it asks me to "renew" again. It's an endless loop.
I can't get any work done until this is resolved.

    Hello,
I contacted customer service and they say my payment information is fine.
They also gave me some ideas as to how to resolve this issue:
    1) Download the "Creative Cloud Cleaner"
    2) Reinstall the latest "Adobe Applcation Manager" and reinstall Photoshop CC.
I've tried these steps and nothing has worked. I'm still being asked to "Renew" my subscription each time I try to launch Photoshop.
And now the previous work around (see my prior post) no longer works.
    Please help. Thanks

  • Photoshop keeps asking for Serial Number ( I already purchased it online)

    Hi,
I bought the Photoshop app through the Adobe website for a yearly commitment as student. I downloaded Photoshop from creative cloud, then I try to open Photoshop, it asks me to sign in, I sign in then it asks whether I want to start a Trial or License This Software. Where in the world can I get the serial(license) number from?No one has provided me with one and I never got any confirmation e-mail that supposedly has the serial number. This is really making me angry because I really need photoshop for my class because I have homework that is going to be way over due if I do not get photoshop up and running by morning. I keep trying to contact someone through a live rep but NO ONE is giving me straight answers! please anyone help!
    Thank you,
    Katie

  • Adobe software keeps asking me to register?

    Hi
I just installed all my Adobe software in my new computer (Windows 8 PC) and now  every time I open any of the programs is asks me to register.
I've gone through the process with each of the programs, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Premiere Elements 10 but it still asks over and over.
I know I solved this the last time I got a new computer but I can't remember how.
    Anyone have any idea?
    Mike

    Hi
    I did find the solution.
I tried this and it worked.

  • Itunes keeps asking me to register.

I got a new ipod yesterday, and I've updated it to iOS 5. I'm having an issue where everytime iTunes detects my iPod (wireless sync) it asks me to register it. I've already registered it once, but the message keeps appearing. I've heard that selecting "Register Later" makes the message stop appearing, but I want to make sure that my iPod is actually registered before doing this.

Maybe this is a problem with iTunes 7.5.0.20 as this is a definite pattern between all the people on this thread. As it appear to affect all OS's and all iPod's as I have a new iPod Nano and it is doing the same thing.
Most likely iTunes 7.5.0.20 is not registering the product properly but it seems that it might still be able to detect previously registered products. So in that case maybe try using a previous version of iTunes, if possible, which may overcome this problem. I have not tried it out but if it is tested could someone post if it does/n't works, Thankyou.
Hopefully Apple will take notice of this a fix the new bug in iTunes.

  • Itunes keeps asking me to register my iPad, itunes keeps asking me to register my iPad

Each time i turn itunes on it keeps asking me to regitser my ipad... i have now registered it nearly 10 times.... how can i get it to stop asking me?

The problem lies with registering wirelessly when Sync with iPad over Wi-Fi is checked.
To fix the iTunes from asking you to register your iPad everytme you restart your iTunes follow these 3 simple steps (close your iTunes program before you follow these steps):
    1) Plug your iPad to your computer with the supplied Apple 30pin to USB cable.
    2) If your iTunes doesn't start up automatically, start it manually now.
    3) Your iTunes will prompt you to register your iPad, choose Never Register - since you've already registered before).
Now, you won't see the pesky register prompt again.

  • ITunes keeps asking me to register my iPhone

Everytime my new 4S connects to iTunes, inlcuding over Wi-Fi, iTunes makes me register the phone (or click on Register Later). This is getting annoying. I have registered the thine a dozen times and nothing seems to stick. What do I do? I can't register it online on the Apple website because it doesn't even list the 4S as a product.

I just got off the phone with Apple as I had the same issue.  Apparently, the phone has a file that was not accepting the edit that itunes was sending it, causing it to always want to register.  The 'fix' was as follows:
    - create new user (test user) in users and groups
    - log off main account
    - log in with test user
    - open itunes
    - identify the device, register later or never (do not register)
(the device was there, with all proper info....)
    - Go through all the tabs to ensure that all boxes are UNCHECKED for sync.
    - Then sync the device (empty sync)
    - eject the iphone 4s from itunes
    - close/reopen itunes, and then reconnect iphone 4s.
Once I did this, it did not ask me to register again.  Log off test user, and log in with main account, and retry.  Worked for me.

  • FCP apps keeps asking me to register

I've installed my Pro Apps and registered upon first launch (formatted system drive, re-installed OS and Pro Apps).
Every now and then, FCP, DVDSP and all my other Pro Apps asks me to register. But I've done that already. What am I missing?

Have you tried trashing the prefs? This is a question that's come up a lot. Heck, I had this issues earlier in the week, but mine fixed itself. Search the forums for "register" and you'll probably find this answered 20 times already. Also, a handy little utility is Preference Manager: http://www.digitalrebellion.com/pref_man.htm. It will allow you to save all your Final Cut Pro settings in case you need to do a preference dump. Lastly, have you tried repairing permissions?

  • Photoshop keeps asking for registration

I registered Photoshop CS2 when I initially installed it. All seemed to go well. Since then every time I start the program, it tries to get me to register again. Anoying but solved by clicking on don't register. How can I make this go away?

The same thing happened to me about a week ago only with Premiere Pro instead of photoshop. My computer got a virus a few weeeks ago so I had to fix that and then reinstall premiere (along with Windows XP and everything else) and that is when I got this problem. I ended up calling the adobe registration phone number on the activation page- and they walked me through it. I had to go to tinyurl.com and paste the registration info back into some folder on my c drive, I don't remember which one. I wish now that I wrote the steps down in case it happens again.
    hope this helps

  • Adobe keeps asking me to register

I keep getting messages from Adobe to tell me to register my products or complete registration, which I have done twice now.

    Steve,
The Login issue haunts most, and has done for quite a while.
A few, including myself, have been lucky enough to be able to just (re)open a forum and have the login happen all by itself, on rare occasions stopping at the Login page, but then it is enough to just type the first character of the ID and then the password; it has to be done after some 5 or 6 hours of forum inactivity, with or without computer restart.
It seems that most have to go through the whole Login procedure after a few hours, or even down to some 20 minutes of forum inactivity.
Yhere have been some threads about it over in the Forum Comments forum,

  • Why do all CS products keep asking me to register?

I have long been registered for my CS products, but every so often when I go to open a CS (6) product I am told it is a trial version, which it is not, and I am told to register it!
Really annoying. Why does it do this and what can I do to stop it?
    Thanks.

OK Arpit, I've done that (except for the part when it asks me to sign in with Creative Cloud Adobe ID as I don't use that), and I'll see what happens. The issue happened every so often, so if it does it again I'd like to follow up on this forum with you if that's OK?
    Thanks.

  • Final Cut Express keeps asking me to register.  Getting irritating.

This isn't a huge issue, but just a minor annoyance, but when I open up FCE, it will sometimes prompt me to register. Sometimes, the "Register Now" button is not available, so I click "register later" and it moves on, and I can do some work.
But this has happened more than once, and while I know it is not a big deal, I am wondering why it keeps happening, cause it's starting to get on my nerves.

Maybe I mispoke. I have registered it, same with Soundtrack and LiveType, but every now and again, I still get the same prompt, sometimes I just register it again, other times, my only option is to click "register later."
