Photoshop-like tools in FCE?

I've got some clips where the lighting is insufficient or the colors are washed out. Are there any photoshop-like tools that can be used to fix in post what I should have done right the first time? Thanks.

My favorite plugin differs depending on the goal I'm trying to achieve. Have you looked through the various filters available in FCE?

Photoshop like navigator palette?

Something I have always wanted is a Photoshop-like navigator palette for working in a slide at 400%. Or a pan tool. Navigating with the scroll bars is not very easy.
I believe Keynote actually doesn't have nothing like this, or does it?

Doesn't work the same way as the trackpad pan does. Although, if the desktop user has a Mighty Mouse, then you can pan the same way. Would be nice to have a "grab" hand tool for those that don't have access to that hardware.
Just on a lark, I tried several different combinations of clicking and scrolling just to see if there was a way to increase and decrease the magnification LOL! Nothing but Command-shift-> and Command-shift-< though.

In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the menu bar via "View > Toolbars" or via the right click context menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the menu bar temporarily.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the menu bar or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

Creative cloud photoshop blur tool not work as it should be

creative cloud photoshop blur tool not work as it should be !
I go to blur a painting i am doing and it does not blur enough and I am using wacom Intuos 5 med pen tablet.
and I even set the tablets sensitivty for pressure lower then default and still not getting the blur tool to do its job.
I even adjusted the brush settings too to be able to blur even more on hard settings, still nothing.
at least it not bluring enough to see any major changes.
the only way i can blur anything is by using the fliters blur or the brushes ( mixer brush ) settings to mix colors and do it that way.
(note) I will not post my systems specs sorry I don't do that and even the tech from adobe said I do not have to. and so I wont !
just need advise not to share system specs.
and thats what this forums board is for getting advice and read what others say about the issue at hand.

It might be your image is too big in terms of pixel dimensions for the blur tool to work well.
If you zoom to 100% do you see any change when using the blur tool?
What are the pixel dimensions of the image?
(Image>Image Size)
If you try a small image, does the blur tool work?
What about when you use the mouse instead of your tablet?
Can you at least tell us what operating system and version of photoshop your using?

Custom shape tool missing from Photoshop CC tool bar

I am a subscriber to Photoshop and Lightroom CC and have just noticed (I need to draw a circle) that there is no custom shape tool in the left hand side tool bar; I've always just assumed it was there before. I've checked around and it seems as if it should be there but mine just isn't.

Hover your mouse over the line tool (just above the Hand tool) and select the Custom Shape tool from the menu which appears.

Samyak Veera - Why Photoshop Crop Tool Problem?

Yesterday, I had problem with the photoshop crop tool. It usually works fine, but suddenly it has been acting up, whenever I try and crop something it turns the image into a tiny little dot I have NO idea why. Was it a setting problem or other thing that I might have messed with? Any help would be appreciated!

One way to fix a tool acting up is to reset it. Right-click or Ctrl-click on its' icon in the Option bar and select Reset Tool.

Photoshop files don't behave like sequences in FCE$

I made a graphic in PS CS3 (on a PC) and saved it as a .psd file. Added it to a project in FCE. I know PS files are supposed to go into the timeline as separate video tracks, but it won't work that way. Is it because it was made on a PC and not a Mac? I have maximize compatibility checked in preferences.

• PSE2 file, made on a Mac, 3 layers incl. transparency, gets imported into FCE4 as 'tracks' and incl. transparency

Photoshop CS2 Tools Keep Disappearing.

Can you hear me cursing and screaming from where you are sitting? I've had two unrelated problems the past few days, and as a result have been totally stuck!!!
The most recent problem was my inability to log into the Adobe website at all. It did not recognize my user name and insisted my password was incorrect. But when I had Customer support e-mail them to me, they were exactly what I had been using. As a result, I was unable to reach the forum to ask for help.
Same thing happened today, until I finally gave up and changed the info in my account. Then before I even had a chance to test them, I was logged in. Sure would like to know what happened there.
Meanwhile, I've been struggling with disappearing tools in Photoshop. I first noticed the problem several weeks ago, when the tools disappeared after each individual action, requiring that I return to the widnow menu and reactivate them.
But it finally came to a head yesterday, when the tools did not show up at all after I clicked on them in Windows. All I could see was the small rectangle at the top of the tool box, which links to an ad for CS4. Couldn't reach the forum yesterday, so I started Googling for help; found a couple of suggestions and somehow managed to rest the tools. Was feeling pretty proud of myself for figuring it all out . . . until today, when the same thing happened. But since I was basically just pushing buttons yesterday, I couldn't replicate the solution. Tried removing the preference files and clicking on reset tools, all to no avail. Then wasted 2 more hours trying to login for help.
sure hope my neighbors couldn't hear my shouts and screams.
I know you guys can help me. Please don't let me down.

Very true. You'd think as much as they charge people for their software,
they'd give a better (free included) help and tutorial than they do. I have
Creative Suite 2, purchased new in 2006 and they already no longer support
it, and won't hardly give a decent answer about it. Kind of have to find my
answers from techie guys, forums, guess work, etc. I've had CS4 offered to
me for free, but turned it down. I hope some of the competition gets far
enough ahead of the game to take some of their market share...because all
Adobe is interested in is the bottom line...big business, etc., not the little
guy in the trenches. Of course, there is more available if you have a Mac.

Photoshop CC tools not accessible & drop down menu commands greyed out for no apparent reason.

Hi... I've been having this issue with Photoshop CC recently where in the middle of editing an image file all of a sudden none of the tools work. When looking at the drop down menus most of the commands are greyed out, except for a few. When looking at the image box, the filename at the top is greyed out. I can't even choose to quit photoshop as this option is greyed out. I can do things like toggle through the "Change Screen Mode" (F Key), and when i select a tool it's icon appears on the screen, but I can't apply it. After about 5 minutes it seems to correct itself & I can go on working with the image.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Well, that could indicate a dialog box appearing somewhere in the background or off screen, not even necessarily from PS itself. Also of course check the option for the restore data and incremental saving. Perhaps you are just seeing that...

Photoshop CS4 tools crash Leopard

I have just installed CS4 and I can open photos, resize them and save them. The only thing is that when I use any tool on the left side, they crash the computer. I get a spinning ball and can't even "force quit" Photoshop. The only way to stop it is to push the power button.
I have reinstalled it, I have reset the settings (preferences?). I have zapped the pram. Nothing works.
I am running Leopard (10.5.7) on 2.33 GHZ, with 3 GB ram.
Any ideas?

I haven't had any tools on the left side—or anything "on the left" of my main Photoshop document windows for years and years, so I'll assume you mean any of the tools in Tool Panel.
Buko's suggestion to create a fresh, brand new account is a basic troubleshooting step.
Turning OFF OpenGL in Photoshop > Preferences > Performance will help you rule out an unsupported or defective graphics card.
Running Leopard, I'd like to see a lot more RAM on that machine, but you shouldn't be crashing with 3GB.

Photoshop Pen Tool: Welding Points?

I am working with Photoshop CS3 and I have 3 paths that were on different layers until I moved them all to 1 layer. I can select all of the paths with the Path Selection Tool and "Combine" them into 1 path... but this doesn't do what I need it to. I need to be able to take 2 nodes (or "anchor points") and weld them together as 1 anchor point. I noticed that combining the paths (even when placing the nodes right on top of each other) does not turn 2 nodes into 1. They are still 2 nodes on top of each other. I went to delete anchor points around these 2 nodes and that is when I noticed they weren't "welded" together. I know that in Cinema 4D you can "weld" points together and it works perfectly for what I need in C4D but I need this to work in Photoshop. Is there a way?
