'Photoshop' missing

Hey there, I am a former Bridge CS6 Mac user who has upgraded to CC recently.
I've noticed that CC does not have "Tools - Photoshop - Image Processor" menu item anymore - the entire 'Photoshop' menu is gone.
I did some forum search, and have seen people making guesses about the script files, but no one seems to have the problem fixed.
I am attaching some screenshots for your reference. Please help, thanks in advance.

Same here: woke up this morning and the "image processor" is gone.
Tried to uninstall and install back, reset preferences, but no avail.
Went back to CS6 and luckily that still works so I was able to process a batch of hundreds photos that I set up in ACR from there.
Hope it's fixed soon...
Giancarlo
UPDATE:
uninstalling bridge alone did not work, but uninstalling and installing back photoshop CC2014 as last step did restore the "image processor" menu.
I wish there would be a smarter/quicker solution than the above.

  • Photoshop missing in bridge tools menu since CC2014 upgrade

Photoshop is missing from the Bridge Tools menu since my CC2014 upgrade.
How do I get it back?
    Any help?
    I'm dead in the water.
    r.

Well, My Ps CC is long gone and, apparently, re-installing it does not solve the problem.  I posted another discussion on this issue within this forum entitled "Many communication issues between Photoshop CC 2014 and Bridge since update."  Sorry, had forgotten about this one.  I also tried calling Adobe's Tech support, but they don't seem even to be aware of such issues and were not able to present a solution over the phone.  So far, here is a summary of what is happening with me, which I hope will help pinpoint everyone else's issues:
    1. "Browse in Bridge" from Photoshop will result on CC app window opening asking if I am sure that I want to update "this Bridge version."  I have no idea of what this means.  I already updated Bridge and Photoshop over and over and the issue still occurs.
    2. Bridge tools menu does not have the options to open images in Photoshop any longer.  This is to me the most frustrating issue of all.
    3. Mini Bridge is absent from Ps CC 2014
So, could Adobe please help here?

  • Photoshop missing component after migration to new Mac

I have an iMac (new) running Mavericks. I used Migration Assistant to transfer all apps, data, etc. I use an old version of Photoshop (CS4). After the transfer, I get the following message when I try to open an image in Photoshop:
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Version Cue CS4/Client/4.0.0/VersionCue.framework
Is there anyone else out there who might have a clue as to what is missing, can it be obtained somewhere, or is this a hopeless compatibility issue trying to run it on a new Mac with Mavericks? At a loss here, but I cannot, on my retirement income, afford to upgrade Photoshop.

Mike has you covered. In the future CS4 may be broken by an Apple OS upgrade. If that happens you might consider switching to Adobe's Photoshop Elements. It is missing some of the professional bells and whistles of CS but it runs about $100 and is very powerful. While I have and use CS5 I get PSE for my wife because its interface is somewhat easier to use and has guided edits that are very powerful and convenient. I often boot it up instead of PS when I want to perform a quick photo edit because the newest version has some editing tools my CS5 version doesn't.

  • Photoshop missing from bridge tools menu

I have upgraded from CS2 to CS3 and now cannot access Photoshop automate features via bridge as the Photoshop menu item is missing from the Bridge tools menu. I am running XP professional all programmes are up to date

All items are checked in Startup Scripts dialog, but when I click on Reveal My Startup Scripts, the folder is blank.
In /Library/Application Support/Adobe, there is no Startup Scripts CS5 folder.
I have now uninstalled CS5, used the cleaner and reinstalled it from different download files seven times, so I doubt that's the problem.
Don't know what to do next.

  • 3D Photoshop missing axis widget

    All-
I was working on a 3D tutorial to find that I don't have an "AXIS WIDGET".  I was able to create and apply images to 3D shapes, but I am unable to adjust these objects easily.  Do I need to enable this widget before using it?

    Hi,
You need to have a video card (GPU) that supports the OpenGL enabled windows option, and have it checked on. You also have to have the 3D layer selected and a 3D tool selected.

  • "Photoshop" Missing from Tools Menu

CS5 let me use Photoshop's Image Processor from Bridge; has it been removed for CS6?

    not yet.
Can you start image processor from PS?  That should tell you if it is working or not.

  • Photoshop missing from CS6

I just installed the Education Edition for Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium using the DVD.
All the applications (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Illustrator, InDesign etc) can be found in my applications except Photoshop.
There is a Photoshop folder but no Logo to click on, I only see a Locales folder and a Photoshop Read Me pdf file.
    Where did my photoshop go?

Same thing is happening with me, I have certain CC programs installed for school, but I want to have the CS6 versions installed as well.  Spent the better part of this afternoon refreshing/restarting the Launchpad in the hopes of all my Adobe apps being visible.  I hope this issue is fixed soon.

  • CS4 Download issue Illustrator/Photoshop missing!

So due to a corupted user, I had to wipe and reinstall my os as well as all the programs. I logged into my adobe account in order to re download the CS4 Design Premium. After downloading it I started to install the programs and realized that Illustrator and Photoshop are no longer in the setup. I have purchased your softwear numerous times ( twice when it was in disc form and I told my parents that they could throw it away because the last time I purchased it online so I could just download it, and would have access to it if ever there was a problem.) Now when I downloaded it the two programs that I used the most are not in the .dmg or setup and it has backlogged my work for weeks. I've been on chat support the majority of the morning/afternoon getting bounced around to different people only to have them tell me that the downloads department only helps with recent launches and downloads. Completely understand that, however that should not change the link or the download that I purchased. And if it did, why are you not allowing me access to something that I purchased? This was a fail safe for all computer people to be able to access their programs that they purchesed online. So I need help downloading Illustrator and Photoshop that were in the origonal bundle that i purchased so i can get back to work, to make money, so I can upgrade! Please help.

Hi Spec85, i understand you concern.

  • "Edit in Photoshop" missing after upgrade to CS5

I use Lightroom 2.7 running on a Windows 7 x64 machine.  I just upgraded from CS4 to CS5 and "edit in Photoshop" is no longer an option in Lightroom.  Photoshop is shown as "not found".
I rebooted the computer and that was no help.  I "repaired" Lightroom 2.7 using the Window installer.  No help.
I'm at a loss about how to get Lightroom to recognize Photoshop CS5.  Anyone have any ideas??

quote "I can only 'Edit in Photoshop.exe' because I did added an 'additional external editor'."
I have done the same thing but this is a poor work around.  I use Photoshop in my workflow to finish edit photos I organize and work up in Lightroom.  Using this procedure 1) takes more time as a tif or pdf file is created and edited and 2) since I don't want the edited file I have to delete after I edited it.  It is a lot of extra work without any benefit.
When Photoshop is directly linked to LR the whole workflow is snappier and more efficent.
Clearly Adobe hasn't updated LR to pickup CS5.... they need to.

  • Photoshop missing files

I am totally new to Photoshop elements, I copied all my photos over into the organizer and started to tag them. I noticed I would click on the photo and the photo would disapear, icon that comes up is like a torn photo, then I went to windows explorer and noticed a ton of my pictures look like they are gone, only showing an icon that has a sunset with a red box editing it. Whats going on? What did I do wrong? Any thoughts would be great...

First of all, you can't "copy" your photos into the Organizer. You "import" them. This is an important difference, its not just playing with words. PSE does not make copies of your photos for its own use ... it uses the photos from your hard disk right where you put them.
Your symptoms indicate there is some problem with the photos on your hard disk. It would help if you could tell us a few details. Such as: What version of PSE? What operating system? What is the exact name of one of these files that is having the problem (including the file extension, such as .jpg)? What kind of drive are the photos on (i.e., internal, external, network, USB, etc.)? What is the size, in pixel dimensions, of these photos? Exactly how did you import the photos into PSE?

  • Photoshop missing pixel grid

    Hi all,
I have been using CS4 for a few weeks now, and all of the sudden my pixel grid has disappeared and when I go to show, it has disappeared from there as well! Does anyone know how to get the grid back? Thanks

If you have Open GL disable, it is enabled by default, then you will not have pixel grid available in the Show menu.
I was not tell the OP how to fix it as they are, I am certain, intelligent to understand what I wrote and the inference as well.
So to review, they must have disabled Open GL as they had Pixel Grid previously available,
they do not have to check Pixel Grid to make it available as it is by default en after disabling Open GL and then re enabling Open GL Pixel Preview has to be disabled by user intent.
Thee is no reason to tell the OP what to do in this case.
    Is that clear enough Ann?
The problem you see is in your head, not with profiles and not with the way things are worded but solely in your head as quite a number of people especially on the photoshop Forum have noted?
Get it out of your head and you will be just fine you won't even notice the few times I pop in here.

  • Old version of Camera Raw toolbar in photoshop cc

    Hello Guys,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem that's been driving me nuts for a couple of weeks now.
I have the very latest version of Photoshop CC - when I bring up Camera Raw in Photoshop (Filter-Camera Raw Filter), the toolbar at the top displays the older version of the tools available (screen shot below) - the newer version with the current tools doesn't appear. I've tried deleting and re-installing Photoshop CC numerous times now, tried numerous web searches and a search on this forum to no avail. I did have Photoshop 6 previously installed for a short while last year before I moved to CC, but I have uninstalled that already. Im on a mac using latest version of Mavericks. Curiously I can get the new version of Camera Raw if I use Bridge, but as I don't use Bridge for anything else this is not really a solution.
If anyone can help me out I will be really grateful!
    Best wishes,
    David

Hello folks...many thanks for your very quick replies, it's greatly appreciated. I'm sorry that I've taken longer than I would like to thank you all, work got in the way and this is the first chance I had to reply.
So yes, my original question was borne out of my own ignorance. I'm still learning about Photoshop and Bridge and thanks to the great tutorials on Kelby One I've come a long way. But not far enough it seems! After reading all your replies I finally realised that I was making a fundamental error, and wrongly assumed that the Camera Raw filter in Photoshop CC would give me the same toolbar as the CR plugin available in Bridge. Part of this was due to the fact that I don't currently use Bridge in my workflow - my images go into Aperture (for organisation and until recently minor raw adjustments) and from there I then pop into Photoshop, missing out Bridge altogether from my workflow. With all the tutorials I ve been watching on Kelby One, I've been slowly weening myself of Aperture and getting a much better handle on the intricacies of Photoshop for my editing and this also partly explains why I was getting confused.
Thanks again to everyone who replied and getting me back on the right track. It's all one big goddam learning curve - I hope to get there one day!
    Best wishes,
    David

  • Dialogue box requiring iLife Installer to replace missing files in iWeb?

My Intel iMac crashed the other day when installing a Kensington Trackball. Apple genius diagnosed and did an "archive and reinstall". Oddly, when I try to open iWeb, a dialogue box says ". certain files missing-install iLife installer". IPhoto won't respond at all. Itunes okay. Also my Adobe Photoshop (only) in my CS2 suite won't open. It seems all other apps are okay. Any idea where I find an "iLife installer"? I did try reinstalling the "bundled software only" package on the original discs with no difference.
    Thanks for any help
    Barney Buoy

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. The archive and install removes critical files that those applications put in the system folders and are needed to run. The Photoshop missing item is a folder titled StartupScripts that is located in the HD/Library/Application Support folder.
Those for the iLife apps are more varied and it's best to reinstall them from the disk they came on. *Before installing be sure to delete any file with the name of the application you're installing that is in the HD/Library/Receipts folder* (they may be removed in the Archive and Install).
If you don't have a backup (i.e. Time Machine) of the StartupScripts folder you will have to reinstall Photoshop.

  • Some layer text are missing

i downoad free psd for logo website. when i want edit in photoshop. i just see the diaog box say some layer text contain are missing.
    1. why my layer text photoshop missing?
    2. where i can fine layer text to fix it?

Just substitute the missing font for one of the installed fonts.  Or if you desperately want the text to look like your first saw it, hunt down the font and install it.  There are various sites that help locate a particular font like Myfonts Identifont Whatfontis

  • Double-click/Drag-&-drop Photoshop files opens application but not file or I get a message saying that some files in Application Support are missing and I have to reinstall. (Photoshop CS/CS2/CS3)

This is most commonly due to installing Photoshop CS/CS2 <i>before</i> doing an archive and install of Mac OS10.3 or OS10.4.<br /><br />One solution is to reinstall Photoshop 7/CS/CS3 after you have installed Mac OS10.3 or OS 10.4.<br /><br />If you have Photoshop 7 and 8(CS), the easiest way to reinstall Photoshop (without disturbing the original installation) is to install to your desktop. After the install is done just trash the Photoshop folder on the desktop.<br />Note: This will only work with Photoshop 7 and 8(CS) but not with 9 (CS2).<br /><br />Photoshop CS2 you must delete the Photoshop CS2 folder. If you have any 3rd party Plugins or presets remove them from the folder before deleting. Just placing the folder in the trash will not work it must be deleted. After reinstalling CS2 you can now put all 3rd party Plugins and presets back in the new folder.<br /><br />---------------------------<br />Another solution courtesy Anne Shelbourne<br /><br />Open your Previous System folder. <br />Find "Adobe Unit Types". <br />Copy it into: <Your current system Hard Drive>/Library/ScriptingAdditions/<br />Then reboot your Mac.<br /><br />---------------------------<br />However, if you happen to be running a non-English version, like Photoshop CS CE or Photoshop CS ME, it appears the missing file does not get installed. You would need to install and delete the international English version first.

The problem you got into is a known problem after updating to Tiger. It is a small 4K file that gets trashed with the update. It is called the Adobe Unit Types. Both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements need this file to function.
One way to get it back is to reinstall Photoshop, the other is to add this file again.
You can get the file from here http://www.dd.se/Tips/bildbehandling/downloads/AdobeUnitTypes.zip
It is only 3,7 KB big.
You put the file you download here:
[hard disk] /Library/ScriptingAdditions. If you don't have a Scripting Additions folder, you create it.
As you trashed Photoshop, you need to completely deinstall it to be able to reinstall it.
