Photoshop no email

hey,
i am just trying to get photoshop cs6 installed. i did all the stuff and then i got an email saying "we have confimed your email and we will email you shortly with the serial number". i still have not gotton a reply so there for i can not use my photoshop.
thank you

If you install the trial version you can use that until you get your serial number.  Once you get the serial number you can use it to activate the trial version, thereby converting it to a fully licensed/functional application.

  • JPG's saved using Photoshop and emailed to mobile phones will not open

I am using CS5 on a Mac OSX.
I am pretty proficient with Photoshop and have been using this version for several years. This may not be a new situation, I may just have discovered it.
I have emailed from Outlook to two different iPhone (both 5's) and an Android phone. I don't know what the message was on the Android but on the iPhone it starts downloading then displays a greyed out box labeled "mime-attachment".
I have tried changing the file size. I have tried 8 and 16 bit settings.
There isn't any problem opening the files on notebooks and desktop computers.
If I import the file into iPhoto (a Mac program for managing and editing photos) and then resave it, the jpgs email perfectly.
    Any ideas?

Thank Imransim, looking at the mime threat it gave me an idea to try another approach. I tried sending the files using Hotmail and they emailed and were received perfectly.
Conclusion is that the problem is Outlook on my Mac. I will get someone else to use Outlook and send a file saved in Photoshop to my mobile and will report back.

I love the Lightroom Email Photo feature.
This post is just a tip >>
There is a Photoshop Extension - Adobe Emailer [FREE] which can email photos direct from PS
If you Edit in Photoshop from LR and are in a hurry to email you can do so from PS before you close back to LR.
OutLook - Outlook Express and Thunderbird are supported.

  • Can I complete level 5 with Photoshop CS5?

Not so much a question as a bug report. In Photoshop CS5, lesson number 5 (straighten a photo) doesn't work. The mechanism works (get the ruler and choose 'straighten'), but it doesn't detect that you have completed it because the button in CS6 is named "straighten layer" rather than "straighten". Works fine with the CS6 trial. I'm user "John Hattan", email [email protected] if you need more particulars.

    Mira,
I'm using Windows 7, and my version is 12.0.4 x32. Thanks!

  • PSD Slices to HTML - creating clean code - email clients disjointing slices, any help welcome...

    Hi Guys
Really sorry i know there will be numerous posts on this topic and some very valuable info that may help, but i am on a sort deadline so am just going straight in...
I am creating an HTML email in Dreamweaver from slices generated by photoshop (whole email to be images). in a browser the HTML doc displays perfectly, but as soon as it is uploaded and sent to hotmail for instance all the slices are disjointed loads of gaps everywhere not seemles like in the browservr
I have searched high and low and have not found out how to rectify this issue, and it is the same in Outlook, i know i need to test this across as many email clients as possible which i will do when i am with the client but i need some info now so i can try and understand and overcome.
Can anyone offer any solid info on this?

  • Strange behaviour - any ideas?

Strange behaviour began when i was unable to open a new page in photoshop.
The next day i was unable to print from word or photoshop or emails.
However i could print from freehand and excel!
I used disk 1 to verify and repair disk.
this did not solve the problem as then when i tried to open Safari the toolbar opened but no window.
I have reinstalled the operating system making an archive but this also has not had an effect.
Any ideas on what to do next or should I just reinstall the operating system over the old one?
    many thanks 4 any help

Sarah, to help the knowlegable users here please advise which model G5 iMac you have & include this info in your system info preference by clicking on the "My Settings" link in the right hand column.-->
This way, you won't have to keep repeating yourself and the knowlegable users will be able to provide you with the correct trouble shooting information/solutions if the problem is your computer.
Also, it will be helpful if you will advise which version of Word, Photoshop you have, which email program & the type of printer you are using.
    Thank you.

  • Rotate in CS2 from Bridge (OS 10.3.9)

It would be much more useful if rotating an image in Bridge would also rotate the original file - as it stands rotating in Bridge is a waste of time as this has to be repeated in Photoshop.

[email protected] wrote in news:[email protected]:
    > Even with a fast computer rotating a scanned iamge file of 55 MB is
    > not that quick
Repeating: Bridge only rotates the preview.
I guarantee you do not have a preview 55MB in size.
If the rotate in Bridge for any single image lasts more than a fraction of
a second, your problem lies elsewhere.
Actually, if rotating a 55 meg bitmap in photoshop takes more than about
three seconds, either you really haven't got a very fast computer, or your
    fast computer has problems.

  • Navigate to files in iPhoto Library

    New to mac!
I am used to organizational software organizing photos, but still being able to navigate to the files through windows explorer (now Finder). The way iPhoto is set up, I can't open a file that is in the iPhoto library from anything except iPhoto. I want iPhoto to catalog my photos, but still be able to open the files from other applications (e.g., Adobe Photoshop Elements, email, etc.). Can I use iPhoto to catalog pics while maintaining access to the pics from other applications??
    Thx

Yes. There are numerous ways to access the files for use outside of iPhoto. See Terence Devlin's treatise on file access.

  • Finding photos OUTSIDE of iPhoto 8

With the older versions of IPhoto you could find photos stored in the library easily (without opening the application), and then open them in Photoshop, etc or email them. With this newer version - I cannot figure out how to do this - it is either the entire library you have to open, then edit in PhotoShop, then email it or whatever. This is VERY frustrating. Likewise I just edited some photos and I cannot find them in the iPhoto library, even though in the save menu I see what folder they are in, but this folder does not exist in the IPhoto library that I can see. Am I missing something?

    Am I missing something?
    Yes.
Quick background: With iPhoto 7 (iLife 08) the old iPhoto Library Folder is now a Unix Style Package File. The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves.
It has never been the correct way to access files via the Finder. Period. This is true of all the previous versions of iPhoto. Any and every time you surf the Library with the Finder, Bridge, Photoshop, whatever, you risk damaging the Library.
    For using Photoshop with iPhoto:
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. *This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.*
If you use a 'Save As...' command in Photoshop you are creating a new File. Save the file to the desktop and then import it. iPhoto does not know about files saved into the iPhoto Library unles they are imported. If you're doing the 'Save As' to preserve the original version of the file, that's not necessary as iPhoto does that for you.
    Other than that:
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto. With 10.5 you can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
All of these are 1. Faster and 2. Safer than rooting through the Library folder.
    Regards
    TD

  • Canvas brightness doesn't match FCP output files/Matches TIF Still Files!!

Hi, the first part of this problem was addressed earlier in the forum-the fact that the Canvas shows the clips as much much darker and way more saturated than when viewed on an external monitor, or when exported to DVD Studio Pro and burned on dvd.
The second part is that when I export an image from the clip in Final Cut using Quicktime Conversion to Still Image and open up the still in Preview or Photoshop or email it to another computer IT MATCHES the much darker and more saturated canvas. How is this possible? How can I get it to match the video output files?
Any advice asap would be really really appreciated.

You need to understand monitoring... first, a computer's display isn't set up for use as a TV set or video monitor. They don't exhibit the same response color wise to gammas. So it makes perfect sense that viewing a still will match what you saw in the canvas. If you were to look at that still externally on a video monitor, you'd see it also matches the video it came from on that same monitor. Colors aren't shifting, the differences in the displays of that same file is what's causing your consternation.
Always color correct for the medium you wish to exhibit in... so if TV, then correct to an external video monitor which is properly set up. If to the web, then you color correct using computer displays (also properly set up) To further the problem, the gamma responses from a PC's display don't match those of a Mac's display. The PC will see things darker in general... so that too has to be taken into account when judging color, contrast and brightness...

  • Batch with multiple actions.. Watermarking PSD the easy way with Fireworks 8..

I just use Fireworks 8, Fireworks CS3 always freezes after batching 30 files or so on a 4 gig machine. I'm able to take advantage of a transparent BG in PSD or PNG and insert a bg layer and foreground layer, then export to a jpeg.
I haven't been able to figure out how to do the same in Photoshop. Fireworks batch just seems so much easier.
Here's what I need to be able to do:
Select certain files in a directory (50+), add a back ground layer and move it to the bottom, add a foreground watermark and move it to the front, then export each file as the same file name but with in a jpeg format to my specified output directory. In fireworks this is easy, but I'd like to fully convert over to photoshop.
