Photoshop not remembering colors in actions button mode

I know it's not much of a big deal but I'd like to assign the color blue to some of my action buttons but every time I restart Photoshop the colors change to yellow. (using CC2014.. latest version no.)
Anyone else experiencing this?

Expand that part of the action and see if color settings are part of the script. What is the exact step in the action with blue applied. I can test it on my end to see what happens. Also, if something has gone haywire, a preference reset may clear things up: Hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Opt+Shift as you initiate Photoshop's startup. Select "yes" when asked if you would like to continue with reset.

CS5 to CS6 actions - button mode broken

Just upgraded from CS5 to CS6 on the Mac. I've imported our actions (some didn't import at all), but the problem we're having with our actions is that in button mode the action requires that we confirm each step. If I put the view mode to "normal" by turning button mode off, then the actions work fine. I can run an action with multiple steps and I'm never asked for a confirmation, it just runs. Change to button mode and I have to confirm each step.
Am I missing something? How can I fix it so that in button mode I'm not being nagged with each step?

It's not a systemic problem with Photoshop. I can run actions all the way through without prompting in Button Mode (I just tried it again to be sure).
What do your Playback Options say?

Photoshop not convertting color settings regardless of warning..

Despite what settings I put into photoshop...the colors are coming out the same but only on a few different files and restarting the computer is the only thing that seems to fix this....O_o I have also set the settings in lightroom to srgb before posting this and am coming up with the same issues..

This means you had a defective monitor profile. This can sometimes trip up one application while another manages to work with the profile. Or they may both be wrong but in slightly different ways.
In Windows there is no "blank" profile. If a custom profile is not present, Windows will load sRGB and applications will use that. But don't use the WCS version; use the one called sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
What happens when you view the image is that the source profile, whatever it is, is converted to the monitor profile, and the document RGB values thus modified are sent to the display. So even if the source profiles are different, the destination profile is the same - so the end result on screen should be identical (within gamut limitations). Unless the destination profile (monitor) is defective.
The real remedy is to buy a calibrator to make a new custom profile, one which is an accurate description of that particular monitor.

Action buttons are missing at UWL

Hi All,
If I have a workflow decision task and I want to approve it from Portal, what all config is required from Portal end. I can not find any decision action buttons which are visible at SAP inbox.
Kindly suggest.

Issues : When I click the button then it give an error message Unable to perform the request. Try again and if the problem persists, inform your system administrator
I am a feeling that my Action handler should be UserDecisionHandler as I have read this at a lots of places but when ever I am giving this as handler name that button is not being visible.
Please let me know your comments.

Programmatically change settings for "Button mode" in actions palette

Hi,
I am making an addon installer for Adobe Photoshop for Mac. After installing, I need to open a ".atn" file, and from the action palette , set it to "Button mode". How can I set the mode programmatically? Is there a plist or xml or setting file that I can modify to set its mode to "Button mode"? Or is there support for this in AppleScript dictionary? Thanks.

That’s certainly beyond my grasp, so please excuse if the question is useless, but if you load the atn-file anyway could you not use a Configurator Panel for those Actions instead of trying to change the Actions Panel’s settings?

Photoshop not seeing export color space setting in Lightroom 4

MY LR or PS programs are not acting as expected.
When my Lightroom 4 is set to export to Photoshop in either the sRGB color space or the AdobeRGB color space, and Photoshop is set for the sRGB space, Photoshop gives a color mismatch error in both cases, saying the image is an AdobeRGB embedded image. However, if the color space in PS is set for AdobeRGB, even if the export setting in Lightroom is sRGB, there is no mismatch error.
Apparently, PS sees every image as embedded with AdobeRGB.
I have a Sony NEX6 camera. I have taken pictures in the camera sRGB color space and the AdobeRGB space, which I used for this test. Since I shoot in RAW, this should not matter, so I don’t think it is the issue, and, in fact, I get the same result no matter which color space the camera is in.
If LR export and PS color space are the same, why should there be a mismatch, and why is PS not seeing the sRGB space? Might there be a setting in Lightroom or Photoshop that I am missing?

If you have a wide-gamut monitor you are better off using it in Adobe RGB mode with a monitor calibrator. But then the monitor will not look correct in non-color managed applications:

You can circumvent this issue by using your monitor in sRGB mode, but I'd still suggest you use a hardware monitor calibrator. Either way it is imortatnt that you have a proper monitor profile assigned in Windows or OS X Color Management. The monitor manufacturer provides these, but they don't always work well with LR for numerous reasons.
To insure the best image quality you should do all of your editing in PS using 16 bit TIFF with ProPhoto RGB profile format until you are ready to Export. For use with ProShow you can use TIFFs or JPEGs, but use sRGB color profile to avoid any color management issue. JPEGs are fine and a LR Quality higher than 80 (10 in PS) is a waste of disk space for slideshow images.
In short you've got a lot of "variables" between the uncalibrated monitor and out-of-the-box non-adjusted TV. The former requires a good hardware calibrator aad the latter a good "eye" to adjust it.

Photoshop does not remember my preformance settings.

Hello I have Win XP and using Photoshop CS4, everytime I make a change under EDIT / PREFERENCE / PREFORMANCE/ and set my desired settings, when ever I restart wwindows and check those prefrences they go back to the default mode. But my work stattion is always saved. Is there a check mark some where where it tells photoshop to remember these settings?

Check your user privileges and folder permissions! Clearly it is unable to write to the pref file and only holds the settings in memory while the program is open. In fact the "crashes" Zeno was mentioning might not be the cause, but the result of this issue.

Increase Action font size in button mode

I'm using CS4 and the font for the Actions in button mode seems to have changed. Anyone know how I can increase the font size in the list of buttons?

Im not aware how one could edit the font-size for only one panel, but if You are willing to change it for all panels You could edit it under: Preferences Interface UI Font Size

Action Buttons are not getting displayed in UWL

Hi Experts,
I am facing some issues in UWL action buttons and I need your help in resolving this.
When a request is generated in ECC systems, a notification is generated in ECC as well as portal.
In ECC, we can see two buttons in the notification, "Complete" and "Cancel work item in Inbox".
But in portal, these two buttons are not visible in the notifications.
Please let me know how to bring these action buttons in UWL portal.

When I have finished working on an image in Photoshop and I hit the save button it goes instead to the "save as" screen. This never happened in previous Photoshop versions. When I get to Lightroom, I have a grey screen the says "File could not be found."

When I select the correct image, I get a message that it is not the same file name but I am eventually able to access the image. Needless to say this is having a negative impact on workflow!

The problem with write permissions for the OneDrive folder only shows up in Lightroom 6's export dialogue, that's why it's to irritating. Lightroom 5.7.1 is not having that problem nor does the file explorer. The problem also exists on both of my machines. PPT action buttons are not present in pdf file upon conversion

Am using Office 2003 (SP3) and Acrobat 8 (version 8.1.6).
Have been using action buttons in the presentations for several years, works fine.
When converting existing files, action buttons in both PPT show and pdf file just works, no problems.
Newly generated presentations work fine as PPT show. But when converted to pdf file, the action buttons are simply missing.
Have verified that all action buttons are "at front", same result.
Have tried to avoid corporate templates by creating a blank presentation and building a small and simple navigating presentation. Again, works fine as PPT show. And again, upon conversion there are no action buttons present in the pdf file.Corporate changes thereby should be ruled out.
Have checked all settings (including "Adobe PDF, Change Conversion Settings") between a working and a non-working PPT file, can't identify any differences.
A colleague helped out (using Acrobat 6), same result. But upon activation of "Adobe PDF, Change Conversion Settings, Restore Defaults", the action buttons worked for him. Tried it with Adobe 8, no such luck.
Have trialed the "Prep 4 PDF" tool, then the PDF file is complete and the "go to slide" keys appear and work again.
All new updates available are installed, anyone experienced the same and found a fix for this trouble?

Have tried both ways, same result.
When working with new presentations, the pdf file is viewable, but the action buttons are not present.
When working with past presentations, the action buttons are present and do work as expected.

These buttons are dependent upon the workflow steps. Check that. Check the linkage for workflow. Check SWI6 - CR number and the step. Based on the step you can identify whether the proper step is assigned or not.

Login action buttons no longer work and some pages not displaying correctly after upgrade.

After recent update, some web pages not displaying correctly and Login buttons on some sites do not work. I've updated my plugins and restarted computer, but problems remains. Is this Java, Javascript or something else? Same pages are working fine in IE.

I tried to download from the app store. It will not download. It shows up under "other purchases" but the action button is blank. I have tried to re-download it and it won't let me do that either. Any suggestions?

There is nothing wrong with my iTunes, is more of the App store that I am concerned about. And I've tried the "Authorise this computer" yes it does download when using iTunes, but no luck with App Store. And, yes I am logged onto iTunes when doing purchases.
I find this really fustrating because the App store works fine on my ipod but once it comes to my macbook, it does not download. A few seconds later after I click on an app to download, the pop up message notifies me that the purchase cannot be downloaded.
Anyways, thanks for your suggestion.
