Photoshop Printing Preferences ... how to match on all computers?

How do I copy my photoshop cc printing preferences/settings from one mac to another? I want to be able to have all computers match when I print to our large format printer.
For example, my paper settings are not the same as my co-worker. So, I want to make sure his settings/configuration matches exactly in case one computer is down. Thanks in advance for any help.

I thought about that - they are already managed - I want to have internet access without any sound if they go to videos and music sites. How could I disable them from changing the sound?

The page Roger posted is good but was very confusing for me. I'll try to help you out since that article was confusing to me.
In iTunes, Click your name/email that is directly to the left of the search bar.
Click account info.
Sign in.
Click this button where the mouse is:
(the screenshot is from an older iTunes on windows, but it is the same on the new versions)
Done!
You can only use that button once per year, so try to remember to deauthorize computers before you get rid of them.

How do I deauthorize all computers associated with my Apple ID?

First post on Apple Support Communities :-)
When I bought my first Apple product (iPad 2) a few months ago, I didn't know anything about Apple IDs, iTunes Store, Home Sharing and Computer authorizations. I experimented a little with iTunes and home sharing in VMware virtual machines (Windows 7) on my computer (Ubuntu). I quickly used up the 5 authorized computers, so I used the "Deauthorize all computers associated with your Apple ID" feature in iTunes and kept on experimenting (since I couldn't get things to work properly in my virtual environment).
Now I have an iPhone 4S and my daughter has an iPod Touch 4G, and I'm planning on buying the new Apple TV. But I'm not going to because I can't have Home Sharing. I can't "clean" the authorized computers because I did it a few months ago and it is only permitted once a year.
It is possible to request an exception (and how?) and have the authorized computers cleaned up?

If you can't deauthorize systems just by the "deauthorize" command under the Store menu in iTunes, then go here:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the problem to the iTunes Store. They may be willing to clear your authorizations for you.

Printing with Canon printer, colors do not match at all... Help

Hello there, I have a Canon pixma 4300, every time I print somthing with a logo or a picture on it, the colors do not match.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Is there a new driver or a solution to this problem, this, seems to me, is really abnormal.

This is a common problem, and it is very hard to get a complete colour match, between any printer and the screen, due to the differing nature of the way both create their colours.
First off, you should check that your printer is properly calibrated with the correct ICC profile, and make sure your screen is also calibrated. Fur more info on this there is a PDF which explains it in more detail (Written for Tiger, but the principles are the same with Leopard.

sRGB would be a good starting point, as most printers can handle this profile. Also, you did not mention how different the colours were? If for example yellow is printing an off yellow/brown or yellow/green, then it is definately the colour profile, if it is printing yellow as red, well then that is something else entirely.
Hope this helps, as chances are, the printer is not faulty, it just isnt set up right. Also, your images stand a better chance of printing correctly if they are created in the CMYK colourspace, not RGB. Especially true of logos.

Help with Photoshop Elements 8 - how to begin?

After calling Adobe for help, I was told since the software I have is outdated I'd be charged to even ask a question and was directed to the forum...
So, I installed Photoshop Elements 8 on my new computer. When I open it, the welcome screen opens up. You know, the screen that has "Organize" and "Edit" on it. Well I have two questions...
1) When I click on either organize OR edit, nothing happens...the box completely closes and nothing pops up....even after waiting, and trying multiple times over and over again. Maybe there is just something I am just not getting. I am VERY new to photoshop.
2) How do I access ALL of the photos that I have in my back-up storage?

Try making a direct desktop icon for each application. Instructions are for PSE9 on Windows but should be similar for PSE8.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Organizer application in Program Files or Program Files (x86) on Windows 7 - 64 bit.
Inside the Adobe >> Photoshop Elements Organizer (yellow folder) you are looking for an application file “PhotoshopEementsOrganizer” with six small icons (e.g. representing thumbnails)
Select it and click OK
Click next
Rename by taking out Photoshop Elements leaving just the word Organizer
Then click finish
You should now be able to launch directly form the desktop by double clicking on the icon.
You can set up a similar direct link to the Editor application (.exe file which has the blue PSE icon). As before take out Photoshop Elements just leaving the description Editor and it will show up clearly on the desktop.

I have bought HP deskjet ink advantage 4625 and it doesn't have HP Original Printing Preferences.
It has only Plain plrinting preferences as below.

What options do you get when you click on that Paper Type/Quality tab up top? And do you see anything by pressing that advanced button at the bottom right corner?

Problem Printer Ignoring Altered Printing Preferences

I have a PhotoSmart B209a wireless printer. When I print, all printing preferences are being ignored and all printing is being done to the default settings. For example, I want to print a photo, so I select boderless photo, premium plus phot paper, best resolution. The printer prints at low resolution on plain paper (the default settings). If I change the default settings to photo paper and high resolution and then print the photo, comes out just fine. So, to sum up all settings that are cahnged from the print dialogue box are ignored.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the info. I have been trying to gather more information on this issue and was starting to believe that is was only affecting Windows 7 x64 systems. It would seem that it affects 32 bit systems as well. So far all the posts are Windows 7 systems.

HT1349 How do I deactivate my account on all computers?

I have gone through two computers and I've had iTunes on all of them.I have certain things, i.e. Digital Copys and such, that I can no longer use. You can deauthorize all computers through your account info in the itunes store and then authorize only the ones you want to use.

How can I de-authorize computers without an old email address?

Long story short, I purchased quite a big amount of music from the itunes store way back in the day on an old hotmail account. I switched to gmail 4 years ago and updated my itunes account with the new email address. I recently switched to a new computer and was transfering over my library when it said that I was at the maximum authorizations. I went into my account and followed the steps as stated here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4644232 and that worked fine, the problem is that when I attempt to play the songs it says that I'm still at the maximum authorizations and asks me to sign in with the old hotmail account. I was under the impression that it should have been updated to the gmail, and since its a 4+ year old hotmail account that hasnt been used, the hotmail account no longer exists, so I cant just try to recover the password to try and de-authorize all. All of my older computers itunes all have the gmail as the account login, so I cant try de-authorizing all from any of them. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to de-authorize all computers given that Its asking for an email-password combo that a) should have been updated to the current gmail b) no longer exists as an email?

As a bit of an update, When clicking to authorize a song, it asks you for the email address (hotmail) and a password. I tried entering an old password and it told me that I'm at my maximum authorizeation limit (so i assumed that it meant that password was valid) but when i try to log into the itunes store to follow the de-authorization procedures it says that this is an invalid appleID or password.

How to find Printer preferences in Photoshop Elements 8 for Mac?

Does anyone have an idea where or how to access the printer preferences or dialog box through Elements 8 for mac? I have an Epson R2880 and am trying to access the printer preferences to be able to change the paper type, print in B/W or choose different things. I am able to access this on Elements 8 for Windows but not for Mac, does it exist or am I looking in the wrong place?

After you click Print in the PSE print window, the OS X print window appears. You may need to click the arrow to the right of the printer's name to expand the dialog box to see the menus, but you'll find the paper/ink settings in the pulldown menu in the middle of the larger window.

I have tried the printer with my laptop (not updated) and everything is fine. It's just the beautiful 27" Imac that can no longer print.

Might be a corrupted printer preference file ...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
~/Library/Preferences
Click Go
Move the com.apple.PrinterPrefs.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac, restart the printer...

Not enough RAM message in Photoshop but preferences shows all 8 GB available

After a fairly smooth year and a half working with Adobe CS5 (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) on my iMac 27" i7 I cannot open any file in Photoshop, no matter how small. I get the message "Could not complete the Open command because there is not enough memory (RAM)." even with all other applications closed and all 8 GB RAM available, and after restart. In Photoshop preferences my usual 70% RAM allowance shows as available. I also cannot view any video files in Firefox or Safari, but WMV and MOV videos play fine with QuickTime outside of the browsers. This all started after I completed the latest Apple security update (2012 001 I think it was) and also downloaded and installed Smith Micro's Anime Studio Debut 8.
I'm running an iMac 27" i7 (2010), 8 GB RAM, Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Photoshop CS5 Extended (InDesign and Bridge Adobe CS5 seem fine). Have done all latest Firefox updates as well. Video plugins: Flip4Mac, QT, DivX (all up-to-date far as I can tell)
Since this started Friday I've updated Pshop and Flash and all Adobe plug-ins, restarting afterward. I ran Disk Utility and found some files were out of order (or corrupted?), so ran the repair sequence using fsck single user/command-line utility since my superdrive hasn't been accepting discs for a couple of months. Which is also why I haven't just reinstalled Photoshop. Eventually I'll get the drive fixed and reinstall PS etc but this will not solve the video problem. It seems there must be a codec or plug-in problem (audio/video) I'm missing or which is not in the right place (and don't know how to look for it).
Been a Mac user for over 20 years and have never NOT been able to figure out my next move. Any help would be appreciated!

I ran an extensive hardware diagnostic and after the second pass it came up with an error message that pointed to a RAM problem. Sure enough, one of the RAM components is now being replaced (along with the dodgy optical drive). Lucky me, I invested in Applecare.
I'm looking forward to getting it back, hopefully working smoothly.

Adobe Photoshop crashing when selecting print preferences

Hi There,
It seems that within the past 2 days in our company we have had users complain that Adobe Photoshop is crashing when they go to print and print preferences. They say a window appears and says "Photoshop has stopped working and windows is looking for a solution".
Has anybody else experienced this over the past couple days? It was working on all computers until recently.
The computers are a mostly Windows 8 computers with 1 Windows 7.

try resetting preferences by holding down shift-ctrl-alt while starting ps. if done correctly a confirmation dialog with appear.
if that fails, this worked for someone else,
System Preferences>Print & Fax. Selected the Konica Minolta printer (the B/W printer was working fine). Changed the name. Still didn't fix it. Went back selected my newly named Konica Minolta then "Open Print Queue" (like Dave said)>print settings. Change the driver to "Generic Postscript printer." I could print, but only on letter-size paper, no other options available (need tabloid). Went back to system preferences>print & fax>Konica Minolta2>open print queue>drivers then I reselected the updated printer drivers--the same one that hasn't been working.
