Hello, there i have some problems with my photoshop i downloaded it and it says
Extracting this may take a while
and now it pop up with a message saying we've encountered the following issues installer has detected that a machine restart may be pending it is recommended that you quit the installer, restart your machine and try installing again please help

Well, do whbat it says - restart your machine. If you have further issues, we need a lot more info liek operating system and otehr system specs...

Hi hi,
When I tried to upgrade my CS 6 Illustrator and Photoshop through my Adobe Updater, I kept getting the following errors:

I've followed your manual downloading of patch installation, but error U44M2P7 occurs for both manually downloaded patch for Illustrator and Photoshop CS6 for Mac.

Surface pro 3 vs Photoshop problems

Hi,
I recently bought a surface pro 3 i7, specially to use for photoshop cc.
I run in to a lot of problems, but my main problem is that after a while it freezes when using the lasso tool.
I don't know why it does this when i am using the lasso and not any other tool so far.
It freezes from 5 min to 20 min.. yesterday I completely reinstalled my surface but with no luck.
Does anyone has a solution for this problem.
Second, not as important as the first but still annoying, when using the lasso half way it already starts selecting, do I press to hard I dont know.
Third, really really annoying the fact that when I use the pen tool, it's impossible to adjust (a) the shape of the pen with the anchor points, this really frustrating.
I tried it even connecting my cintiq to it on a big screen, it works better but stiil its a struckle. On my normal computer with normal it works fine,
Please help me out,

I have this same problem. It is really annoying. I cant get it to work with my finger or pen.
If anyone has tips i would love it. I bought this thing for the pen and to use Adobe.

I'm trying to get the image to print correct size. i've tried center image, fit to media image, and they all come out the same size...smaller than the size in "image size". is this an Epson problem or Photoshop problem. Thanks!

I just got a new printer...Epson R3000...but have had this problem before. It's probably a simple fix, but I can't figure it out. I'm asking for printing on 8.5 x 11 and the image comes out 6.5 x 9.5 every time. Help please! And thanks!

The Epson site stated that the R3000 printer can print borderless however the quality will suffer in the expanded print area. Borderless is not supported on some heavy paper. To me the means your better off limiting you images size to the standard print area. There will be magins about 1/8" on the four sides so the print area on 8.5"x11" paper is 8.26" x 10.76"....
Take note of the print size set by the epson driver it may change depending on the paper type set. Note my first epson 4800 setup where I set 8.5" x 11" sheet paper from tray into the printer setting the driver set a smaller size for the paper which was reflected into the Photoshop Print preview. It shows paper is 8.499" x 10.999 with a small unprintable area across the top....

Photoshop problems with displaying white text (and glitching in general)

Hi there,
My Photoshop seems to be having some serious issues with displaying certain things, namely white text (which shows up as black), and a mix of other random elements. I've tried searching for symptoms that I've been having, but I can't seem to find anything relevant. Here is what is going on:
White text shows up as black. However, sometimes if I use blending options to give it a white Color Overlay, it will become white. Sometimes it doesn't matter, it will show up as black regardless. Other colors are not affected. I have tried changing colors back and forth. the moment I switch the color back to white, it shows up as black.
Smart objects are broken. I can still find a smart object in the Layers window, but it will just display as one of two things: nothing/transparent (but the layer inside still contains everything it used to), or the way it is supposed to look but with a huge black bar over it (or a glitch tv-error fuzz bar). I've tried taking all of the elements in the Smart Object and bringing it into the original file, but then the image looks super fuzzy-glitchy.
I've attached a screenshot of what I mean by this fuzz-glitch thing below. This example is black and white, but it can be literally any color and/or any rainbow of colors. This is what happened when I created a new 1000px x 1000px document with a white background. Notice how it isn't ENTIRELY glitchy fuzz. Only certain parts of it are covered.
Please help! Does anyone know how to solve this? I've tried restarting Photoshop, restarting my computer, changing the Advanced Graphics Processor Settings Drawing Mode from Normal to Basic, changing the amount of memory usage that I let Photoshop use (down AND up), and nothing gets fixed. The problem occurs in the middle of working on Photoshop

A logical next step would be to reset your Preferences.
To reset Preferences:
If Photoshop is already open on your screen, close it (Quit). Then hold down Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and start Photoshop.
A dialog box will pop up asking if you want to delete the existing Preferences file (the "Settings"). Click Yes in the dialog box. The existing Preferences file will be scrapped and a new one will be created.

Adobe Photoshop problem with license

I have bought Adobe Photoshop CS4 (box, license for 3 computers) in 2009. I've used it on two computers with activation, but one computer had formating, and second I've lost. I don't know how to 'unactivate' them now, and when I trying to activate product on my actual computer - it says that all license keys are in use. I have whole box and papers, even facture as a proof for purchase. What I should do?

Photoshop problem after 1.5.1 update

Since installing the Aperture 1.5.1 update and the Camera Raw update, Photoshop CS2 won't open a file if there is a disc in either my Superdrive or Firewire disc drive. I get the Application not responding message in Force Quit. As soon as I eject the disc Photoshop proceeds to open the image I selected from the hard drive. I've run DiskWarrior and there were not repairs needed.
I was opening images in Photoshop from optical discs yesterday before I installed the Aperture update, so that is all that has changed.
Anyone have a similar experience? Anyone have a clue what I can do about it other than always ejecting optical discs before using Photoshop from now on?

Edit in Photoshop Problem

I wanted to post this in case other people were having the same problem.
Was having a problem where I would try to "Edit in Photoshop" a NEF file. Photoshop would launch, but no file would open. It had worked fine in the past. Had not changed anything as far as what versions of Lightroom and Photoshop I was using, so was stumped as to why it stopped working.
I did a pretty extensive search in the forums. Seemed that other people were have similar problems. Did pretty much all the suggestions that people had posted to resolve the problem, but it still did not work for me.
I apply a copyright metadata preset when I import my NEF files. I have two phone numbers in the "Phone Field". Recently I changed phone numbers and went in to the preset to change it to the new phone numbers. I had tried to put the phone numbers on two lines instead of just one. When I did this, it put some characters that must have caused the problem with the "Edit in Photoshop" function.
After I changed the two phone numbers to be on one line, "Edit in Photoshop" works as expected.
Anyway, thought I would pass that on as another reason why "Edit in Photoshop" may not be working as expected.

With a raw file it’s conventional to send a tiff or PSD with Lightroom develop settings into photoshop.
You normally make the round trip from Lightroom.
1) Ctrl+E in the Library to export with develop settings
2) Edit in Photoshop; then Ctrl+S to overwrite Lightroom export copy
3) Ctrl+W to close in Photoshop and update Lightroom thumbnail.
There should be no change to your NEF.

Photoshop problem isolated to user account.

I am unable to open Adobe Photoshop CS2. An error displays, unrecoverable problem has occurred because something prevented the text engine from being initialized. Support helped me to isolate this problem to my user account. Now I would like to fix the problem in my user account. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot a user account isolated problem?

I had a copy of Photoshop saved on my external drive and it booted up and performed perfectly. I then read your reply and, when I went to delete the plist, I found that it had just been modified. My hard drive Photoshop now boots fine also. I'm sure that means your solution of deleting the file would have also worked.

LR 2.1 edit in Photoshop problem

I've just started Lightroom on a new desktop: Windows xp pro 32 bit, 4gb ram with 3G switch, Nvidia Geforce9500 video card. LR basically stopped working (wouldn't export and switching from grid to loupe view took up to 30 seconds). Updated the video driver and that seemed to solve problem of speed but it still wouldn't export (the file is a 170mb tiff [panorama]). So I installed LR 2.1. I have made a rotation and crop to this image in the Develop module and exported it to another folder, and the export function works fine now, but when I use "edit in Photoshop" or indeed just go to Photoshop and open the file, the crop and rotation hasn't been applied, even though LR shows it has.

Ok. Problem solved I think. But I would appreciate a comment from anyone on this: When I export a tiff and in the Export Dialogue - File Settings - Format and select "original", then the tiff is exported with no adjustments made to it, just the sidecar's details, so it looks correct in LR. When I choose "Tiff" under the Format settings, then the adjustments are "baked in" so to speak. I now have the file I want.
Is this a bug or normal behaviour? David

Photoshop problems: stopped working and/or GPU

On Thursday, I was experiencing problems with Photoshop CS5 Extended (64-bit). When I went on it that day, my computer told me that it stopped working and close the program. I turned off the computer because for a while it worked, but on Friday, it said Photshop had temporarily disabled the GPU enhancements (noticable because when i stroked with my Wacom Intuos Manga tablet, the brush strokes come out pointy instead of round. There was no point of turning off the Enable OpenEG(?) drawing because it was already off. I updated my display driver but that didn't work. I tried other things, but certain things would just get the "Driver components mis-match. Exit is the only option.", and I'm forced to shut down because the program wouldn't close like I wanted it to. ven when there are times when i could get on, the brush strokes (pointy or not) would just look like I did it with a mouse, like when I use the second pair of brushes that makes the lines small or big depending on the pressure used. I've spend this weekend trying to fix this problem, but nothing works. I never had this problem earlier this month and I never had it before. I need help.
I use Windows 7 and my display driver is NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430.

Try resetting the brush tool:
If that fails, try resetting the Photoshop preference file: Hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Opt+Shift as you initiate Photoshop's startup. Select "yes" when asked if you would like to continue with reset.

IPhoto/Photoshop problem

I recently had to do an archive and install to get away from the dreaded 10.4.11 update and I now have a problem and I don't know whether it's with iPhoto, Photoshop or the OS. I have my iPhoto set to open in Photoshop CS and prior to the update it all worked fine. Now when I double-click on a photo it starts up Photoshop but doesn't load the file! I've tinkered with preferences in PS and iPhoto but to no avail. Anybody any ideas?

You need to re-install Photoshop.
When you did the A+I install, a part of Photoshop that's in the old System Folder got left behind. This is the bit that deals with the Applescripts that pass the pics to and from from iPhoto to Photoshop.

WinVista CS4 Bridge opening to PhotoShop problem???

I am doing a Total Training class on CS4 PhotoShop Essentials ... great class btw ... and instruction for Bridge says to double click on the file to open said file in PhotoShop. This doesn't work ... known problem??? I am using the latest updates as of yesterday in Win Vista.
Any thoughts???

This is definitely your problem. Have never played with the file association page so can't say for sure what to do. Might press "reset to default associations" as that is safe. If that does not correct it, suggest you look in knowledgebase search for file associations and see what they suggest.

"Edit with Photoshop" problem...

I can no longer effect the "Edit with Photshop CC (2014) command on my laptop. When I click to Edit with PS, it does launch PS but nothing happens. I does NOT launch the dialog box that gives you the choice to edit a copy with LR corrections etc. All other plugins work fine (NIK, OnOne etc).
The operation works fine on my desktop and I can't find any setting that is different on one from the other.
Running Mavericks on MBP retina and iMac with all updates. Running Photographer subscription on both machines. My Catalog is in dropbox but I have all the image files on an external drive that I have each hooked up to. It is not a sync problem - there are no conflicting catalogs etc from the dropbox arrangement.
If I had to guess, I have some sort of feeling that this is an ACR issue...in fact, it must be. as I wrote that, I decided to try editing a jpg file in PS and that worked fine.
But I do have the problem with both .RAF and .NEF files...
I guess I could try a manual install of the latest version of ACR but would like to know if that can be done manually with the new Adobe subscription system?

I'm not sure what is happening then because the dialog would only come up in Lightroom if there was a Camera RAW mismatch.
Another thing you can try is delete the "Lightroom 5 Preferences.agprefs" file and restart Lightroom. The file location is Preference and other file locations in Lightroom 5 .
You also may try adding PS again as another external editor which means the dialog should appear for ALL images, I wonder if it is something to do with Photoshop CC and CC (2014) being installed?

OS X Yosemite - Ilustrator and Photoshop problems.

I have a MacBook Pro, just over a year old. Updated to OS X Yosemite last week.
Since updating Illustrator and Photoshop run much slower.
Fonts don't show up in Illustrator, photoshop cursor flickers whenever I try do anything like there isn't enough power to run the program.
I have 408GB of 498GB of memory free so that isn't the issue.
This is really frustrating as I use them everyday as a designer and now wish I hadn't upgraded.
I have uninstalled both programs and re installed but this has made no difference..
Has anyone else had these problems / anyone help?
Any info is much appreciated,
