Photoshop quit downloading at 42%, what now?

Does anyone know what to do if the program won't load?  Twice?

Hello,
Is anyone out there?  I keep asking questions and no one answers.
Remember, you are not addressing Adobe here in the user forums.  You are requesting help from volunteers users just like you who give their time free of charge. No one has any obligation to answer your questions.
If no one knows the answer, no one will respond.  If your post does not have enough information, no one can respond.

    Hello,
Please provide more details so that we may be able to assist you.
What does 'not working' mean? What happens when you try to view Flash content?
What is the OS version, browser type and version.
Do you have Flash Player currently installed, if so what version?
What steps did you take to install Flash Player

  • Installing software for a new HP 5530 printer, the utility quit, Apple notified.  What now?

I have Yosemite on my iMac and was installing software for a new HP 5530 printer. Message says Utility quit unexpectedly. Apple has been Notified.  What do I do now?

Thanks you all so much. It's great to know there are people interested in being helpful and sharing their knowledge.  Turned out that some scanner functions worked, but scan to computer did not.The installation of the HP Utility was somehow originally messed up, and what it took was a brief UNPLUG of my iMac (restart or shutdown did not do it), followed by uninstall and reinstall.  HP actually called me  today after a chat session was cut off yesterday and asked if I would like to continue!  Good help on both sides.

  • HT5655 Why can't I download Flashplayer for my Mac OS X (10.6.8)? I get a message that Adobe can't download it so what now?

So how do I get Flashplayer?

I just now noticed your system version in your topic.  Thank you for providing your other system information. Same should be in your profile so that if you have any other problems, you will not have to repeat yourself or the helpers here keep asking you for it.
If you uninstalled all the older versions of flash player on your computer....
Disconnect all peripherals from your computer.
Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
    Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
    Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
    Click Repair Disk.
    Restart your computer when done.
Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2963 and restart your computer.
Install flash player, repair permissions again when done and also restart your computer.
If still having issues, you should post in the Adobe forums.

  • I just downloaded Ilife 9 and now my Iphoto doesn't open. The error message says: You cannot open your library using this version. Quit and use the older version. What can I do?

I just downloaded Ilife 9 and now my Iphoto doesn't open. The error message says: You cannot open your library using this version. Quit and use the older version. What can I do?

iLife '09 is not available as a download - it is only available as a purchase
iLife '11 is available as a DVD purchase and the compoments of it are available from the App Store (iPhoto '11 (version 9.1.5), etc)
Exactly what did you do? And exactly what does the error message say?
On the surface it appears that you are attemptying to open a new library with an older version (iPhoto '09 can not open an iPhoto '11 library for example)

  • My app crashed and now I constantly get Photoshop quit unexpectedly even after reinstall...what to do?

Was working on Lightroom and bringing an image into PS when it crashed and I constantly got "Photoshop quit unexpectedly", tried to reinstall a clean install also removing all preferences with no luck. For some reason I still get "Photoshop quit unexpectedly".... how can this be???
Anyone got a clue what to do? Seems like I've tried all the obvious solutions.

You need to look at you system crash report for the Photoshop crashes.  See where Photoshop is crashing. Often the faulting module will give you a clue as to where the problem is.

Installed my Photoshop Elements 7 on my new laptop.  Says my serial number is invalid.  Chatted with customer service rep and she says the number should work. What now?

    Hi,
Did the serial number come from a boxed set and previously installed from disc and are you now trying to install from a download?
If so, that will not work - the serial numbers are different.
If you don't have a dvd drive on your new system, perhaps you could get someone to copy your disc to a memory stick and install from that.

  • Photoshop is downloading now... FOREVER

    Hello,
By the time I get a response to this the issue may be over.
I joined to pay $ 19.99 per month for Photoshop.
All of the registration and payments were accepted and the page says: "Photoshop is downloading now..."
    And it still says that...
    And it still says that...
    etc.
I was never asked where I wanted to download Photoshop and I'm not given any kind of message about time or percentage remaining.
Is this how it works at Adobe?

    WOW!
I looked at personal plans and business plans and there was no $ 9.99 plan for Photoshop alone, paid monthly.
Would you be so kind as to share the link to the $ 9.99 plan?
I worked with Support through a massive series of viascos where they had me delete portions of Adobe Manager and re-install, then delete portions of the Cloud app and re-install. Then when those wouldn't let me download my licensed product they took over my desktop and flopped around failing at everything there until the connection died (me with 50MB working fine).
Finally I completely uninstalled both the Adobe Manager and the CC app and re-installed them. Then I logged in with the same ID I used to purchase Photoshop monthly use and it still was a trial version. So I went for the 30 day trial just because I needed to get some work done this AM--fully knowing I'd run into another unexpected series of fiascos when I needed to end the trial and use the paid version (after 30 days of paying for it anyway).
I saved the support chat transcript and it's an unbelievable hour no one would believe...
Again, if you have a link to the $ 9.99 per month Photoshop monthly subscription I'd love to re-coup $ 10 a month for the same tool.
BTW I started with Photoshop in 1996--can't remember the early version number. But I'm completely floored at how un-tested this user experience was today with such a professional, respected and profitable corporation.
I'm still (almost) laughing (if I wasn't weeping) at the DOWNLOAD PHOTOSHOP button that lead to a  page which did nothing, and the two attemtps to install Photoshop from the CC App which both failed.
What a painful loss of hours--and I'm a HUGE (and proud) Adobe fan so I'm still numb this evening.
Thanks for the comments and link--if you've got it.
    Warmest,
    Chris

Downloaded IOS 7 and now I do not have a dictionary in iBook.  This is very frustrating.  What can be done to fix this issue?

I've got to agree with Allan. It sounds like the hard drive is corrupt at least. It's possible it might be physically failing. Without backups, it's possible your data is already gone. You need a professional to help you.
If you do not have an Apple Store near you or simply don't have the time to spare, there are some things you can try, but you must understand that it's possible these things could make the chances of recovering your data worse than they already are. Perform the instructions to follow at your own risk!
First, you can try repairing your hard drive with Disk Utility. If that works, see if you can start up the machine. If you can, the very first thing you need to do is back up any data you don't want to lose. You may still need to take other steps, as your system may be damaged as well, but getting the data is the important part.
If Disk Utility cannot repair the problems, you can try DiskWarrior. It can repair problems that Disk Utility cannot. However, it also increases the risk of destroying your data if it fails. If it works and you can start up the machine, do the same as I advised for following success with Disk Utility.
If repairs (with either) were successful, but the machine still won't start up, you can try reinstalling the system. Hold down command-R at startup and then just install right on top of the existing system. If all goes well, you'll be able to start up afterwards and can get your data backed up. If all goes badly, it'll further decrease the chances of getting your data back.
If neither can repair the damage, you're in bad shape. You will need a professional to help you, unless you are willing to lose all your data.

Use an external optical drive such as Apple's USB SuperDrive, or one inside another computer.

Perhaps check to see if you're accidentally running two different versions of iTunes. There's some information on troubleshooting that in the Opening iTunes section of the following document:

After a download update 4.0, I cannot launch. Message says I need to reboot to complete a previous update. I rebooted 5 times to no avail.I have tried searching for xpicleanup.dat to no avail as suggested. What now?

I was able to get live chat support to solve the problem in my post. It worked immediately. Here is what I was told to do. I needed to perform a clean installation Hopefully, it will work for you, too.
"To perform a clean installation, first close Firefox completely. (This chat window
must be closed if it's in Firefox) Then, rename "Mozilla Firefox" to "Old Firefox".
(On 32-bit Windows, this is C:\Program Files\. On x64 Windows, this is
"C:\Program Files (x86)". On Mac, Firefox is in /Applications) Finally, re-install
    Firefox normally from http://www.firefox.com"
Since I had already downloaded 4.0, I just went to my download file after renaming the file and ran it.

You need to run a platform swap:
Order product | Platform, language swap
Until it's through, you can use the trial version.
    Download CS6 products

I use a macbook pro..My iPhone 4s refuses to be recognised by itunes even after I downloaded the updated itunes...what now?

    Hi Oneness1,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
These troubleshooting steps can help if your iPhone 4S is not recognized by your MacBook Pro:
Plug the device directly into a high-power USB 2.0 port on the computer. If possible, use a USB port on the back of the computer.
Avoid plugging the device into a keyboard, display, or standalone hub. The USB ports on these accessories may be low-power or only offer USB 1.x connections.
If you are using an accessory, remove the accessory and connect the device to the computer using only the Apple 30-pin to USB Cable or Lightning to USB Cable.
If you have access to additional Apple 30-pin to USB Cable or Lightning to USB Cables, try testing with another if the first one doesn't work.
Restart your computer and device. To restart your device:
Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the Sleep/Wake button to turn it back on.
Disconnect all USB devices from your computer, except for your keyboard and mouse. Then reconnect the iOS device. If the issue is resolved, reconnect other USB devices, testing after each connection.

Ensure that your Mac meets the minimum system requirements for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Install software updates on your Mac.
Note: If an iTunes update is available, apply the update.
Check USB connections. iOS devices require USB 2.0 to function properly. If you're not sure your Mac has USB 2.0 ports, refer to the computer's specifications.
Disconnect other USB devices and connect your device directly to a USB port on your Mac.
    Restart your Mac.
