Photoshop reinstall
The latest Photoshop CC update failed, and Photoshop no longer worked.
I uninstalled Photoshop (couldn't deactivate), but now I can't reinstall.
What's my next step?
Run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, try again.

After having a dozen failures to launch of PS and no available update I uninstalled it hoping a new install may remedy the product. Now I cannot reinstall as it keeps putting me into a circular loop of "pick an application" to download it with. This is on Mac OSX 10.9.2.
I have run Lightroom for years with no issue and continue to now. I did the CC as I needed PS for some specific functions.Tom Servo please see CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html for information on how to reinstall Photoshop.

As I mentioned, there is an error while trying to update photoshop, camera raw, etc. I receives message when you try to download the update, an error occurred. Exit and try again later.
What to do? Without Camera Raw update I can't open Raw files from my cameras. Guy from chat on adobe website just give me link for support website, it's ridiculous.abdzi schrieb:
Hi,
Finally I made an update. I used download files from Adobe update pages (the same websites that were offline for few days), I couldn't do it automatically from PS CS5 application. Last problem is Adobe Extension update, can't do it automatically and manually becouse there are no update files for Adobe Extension CS5 for Windows (only for Mac). Most important is that my Camera Raw can open files from my cameras now. Thank You for your help.
Hey abdzi could you give a short explanation were you found which download files?? I have the same problem and realy need the Camera Raw update. Please!! Thank you -
Error reinstalling Photoshop CS 5.1 (already have MC 5.5 installed)
I was having problems with Photoshop CS 5.1. I don't recall when they started, but I was unable to use any keyboard modifier keys (Ctrl, Alt, etc) for commands, and though I could click on items, dragging anything in photoshop would not work. I found some tips suggesting that uninstalling and reinstalling PS would correct the issue. However, I cannot reinstall the program after uninstalling it. I have restarted multiple times. Here is the error message I am getting when the install fails:

Any suggestions? I am at wit's end, and not being able to use Photoshop is really starting to become an inconvenience. For reference, I am on a Windows 7 64-bit machine and trying to install the 64-bit version of PS CS 5.1 from the CS 5.5 Master Collection.
Thanks in advance.I am still having problems getting Photoshop reinstalled on my computer. I've been without it for almost two months now, with no indication of why it stopped working in the first place. Does anyone know what I can do to get it reinstalled?
Thanks. -
Double clicking on file doesn't open file in Photoshop
I've tried all the well-known fixes for this and they don't work. I'm on a Power Mac G5, 2MHz, running OS X 10.4.11, and Photoshop CS. I've been through the fixes for "can't open in Photoshop from double clicking file on desktop"-reinstalling Photoshop, reinstalling, then trashing the new Photoshop, and physically moving "Adobe Unit Types" into the "Scripting Additions" folder. There was a time when that worked. not any more. What happens now is: I double click on a Photoshop Tiff file, never touched by Preview. Result: the OS opens the file in Preview. So I trash all copies of Preview. this is driving me crazy. Try again. The OS, this time, opens the file in Colorsync Utility! I've never heard of it. So I trash all copies of Colorsync Utility. Try it again. The OS opens the Photoshop file in Illustrator. It appears that no power on earth will force the OS to open the Photoshop file in Photoshop. nothing will work. Can anybody help?
Birck - as the others say you don't need to and shouldn't trash the other programs - I would recommend re-installing them asap. What you need to do is find the PS file you want to open and do a right-click over it and select 'get info' then find the 'open with' drop down menu and choose Photoshop. Once selected also click the 'change all' button below and close the get info window. Now all your PS files should open in the correct program :)
Greg
Edit - oops didn't see this had already been answered - hope things are working better for you now. -
Photoshop CC Crashes on launch with Mavericks
I have two Macs, a late 2012 MacBook Pro and a 2009 iMac, both installed with Creative Cloud and running Mavericks. The MBP is doing great. No issues whatsoever, and it is my main machine these days.
However, Photoshop CC is crashing on launch on the iMac every time. I can't use it at all there. Here is the top of the crash log, leaving off everything from "Binary Images:" on...

Photoshop is screwed up since 10.6.5 update!!!
So after I get a work-around for the bluetooth problem i can't seem to solve, my photoshop is totally screwy. First it's cs4 extended and my macbook pro is 3.06 with 6gb ram. I never had problems before the update and I've done everything you can think of to fix it . Reset pram, power reset, repaired permissions, purged photoshop, reinstalled photoshop, allocated all ram to photoshop, downloaded the fan utility thinking my computer was overheating and adjusted the fans to run cooler, no fix. etc, etc.
The problem is that when i'm working the screen the main window does not show changes, like when i use the select tool, i get no dancing ants? If i change the gradient I can see the thumbnail on the right change, but the main image does nothing for a very long time... I have to wait like 20 seconds for anything to show on the main screen while I'm moving my mouse around and selecting different tools to see if it's frozen. It's not frozen, but just taking forever to show me anything... I try to select text, but nothing highlights, but if I change the text, it does change, i just can't see it on the main window! Photoshop is all of a sudden taking up 120% of my processing when i have a 6mb file open and nothing else.
Please offer suggestions on what i can do. Disk utility/repair didn't find any errors. all my other program seem to be running fine, just photoshop is screwed up. I don't have any plug-ins. or anything different than before I updated. (well besides my bluetooth not working correctly) this is very frustrating.
Please offer some suggestions, but i've tried everything i could find and nothing seems to work, nor do i seem to have any other problems...
I am about to smash the computer I'm so frustrated. So this has still not been resolved! it's driving me in freakin insane! In a matter of seconds while using photoshop it spikes the CPU to 100% with a 20mb file open. Then i loose all previews and actually loose all visibility of changes until i either zoom out or try clicking on a layer or something. I cannot work like this!!! It started with the 10.6.5 update and now it still does it even after the 10.6.6 update. I tried adobe, but they are absolutely no help. - I would call them something else, but this is a family forum right?
It was caused from the 10.6.5 update and even downgrading now does nothing. I've tried abaolutely everything, but it still does it.
So question is, did it fry my graphics card? All hardware tests come back with no problem, but I still do not have bluetooth thanks to the 10.6.5 update... This just stinks.
How do i check the graphics card? what else would there be to check and how do it do it.
Remember everything was reset multiple times, operating system reloaded multiple times (yes combo update) so it is not going to be fixed by anything someone else has done. I am trying to figure out what to do now... -

I've switched users, ran onyx , cleared everything, 5 or 6 time. etc, etc. I'm not new to Macs and diagnosing problems, but this is driving me frickin crazy!
Photoshop cs4 11.0.1 does it and even reinstalled 11 does it. I've cleaned up fonts and reverted to my fonts library from june and still problems.

Camera raw 7-2 refuses to install into Photoshop CS6
trying to install camera raw 7-2 beta release into Photoshop CS6 on MacBook Pro, OSX 10.8.1. Installation commences, then I get Error Code: U44M2P15. I have tried new downloads of camera raw, restarting the Mac to no avail. Any ideas??? I need this release to view Sony ARW files generated by the new Sony DMC RX100 camera. Thanks for any assistance!
Thanks for your assistance Jeff. I wish it was so simple. I ended up on the Adobe customer chat where some very kind techs helped me out. The issue was ultimately resolved by reinstalling CS6.
This was way more complicated than it sounds! I ran the photoshop 6 uninstaller, which encountered an error. Following the online error advice, I then installed the Adobe cleaner and run it a couple of times, with restarts. There were still Photoshop 6 files sitting in the Utilities folder. I dragged these to trash manually. Photoshop 6 would not install, giving an error message about halfway through. After nearly 2 hours of tech chat and multiple interventions, the Mac was started in SAFE mode and permissions repaired, photoshop reinstalled from original CD, then upgraded.
Camera raw 7.2 was then installed successfully, and now my Sony Rx100 ARW photo are brightly displayed in Bridge.
I hope this helps anyone else out there who experiences similar problems. Another installation of camera raw 7.2 on different mac (OS10.8.1) running Photoshop 6 was event-free. -
Photoshop CS2 keeps crashing after recent migration
Hi... just migrated my files to a new iMac and after a day of running fine, PS CS2 keeps crashing. It launches, but crashes quickly and randomly... sometimes allowing me to open a file and work on it for a minute and save it, other times when trying to go back to PS from another program.
Help!!Hi, I have the same problem with my Photoshop CS2 crashing on my Mac OS 10.6.3. I removed Photoshop, reinstalled and then installed the latest update (9.0.2) and it still doesn't work. Every time I open Photoshop, it almost completes opening and then it dies, giving me the following Photoshop quite unexpectedly error. Please help!

Photoshop 32bits does not start up anymore on Windows 7 64bits.
This is the situation:
We have 2 PCs that have been configured identically, with the exception of a scanner (canonScan 9950F) attached to the computer and the 32 bits twain scanner driver installed.
Both PCs worked correctly, the one with the scanner attached started 32 bit PhotoShop when there was need to scan. But for some obscure reason, 32 bits Photoshop does not work anymore. I have tried disabling the twain driver (by moving it out of the plugins directory), restarting the machine, updating to the latest software, but despite this, Photoshop does not start anymore... no beep, no crash, no nothing.
I deinstalled Photoshop, Reinstalled - same phenomena.
At least the Event Viewer of Windows has something to tell, even if it is not quite understandable to me:

May be someone out in the user community has a solution? Needless to say, that the second machine works fine!
Lucien. The Photoshop executable really should be showing 12.0.4.0 as the executable version should have been updated by the updater.
I'm sorry for the really basic question, but did you reboot after installing the 12.0.4 update?
I do vaguely remember a few forum posts claiming the updater had only worked partially, though in my own case it updated all the files no problem. Can you recall whether you changed anything under the Photoshop 32 bit installation area (e.g., did you move or remove any of the Adobe plug-ins, for example)?
If memory serves, the workaround for a "partial update" was to uninstall Photoshop, then reinstall 12.0.0, then update to 12.0.4.

Please help - Photoshop Elements won't open
Hi,
I just bought photoshop elements, installed it and everything was fine. Like a dope, I downloaded a graphic from a website, and tons of adware/malware was also loaded on my computer. I couldn't stand all the popups and junk, so i used the Dell Restore to restore the computer to the point right before I loaded photoshop. After that was done, I reloaded photoshop, and now I can't get in to the program. (The popups went away.) The opening screen comes up, I choose "photo editor" instead of "organize"...the moving ribbon comes up as if it was thinking, and then it goes away and the opening screen stays there. No error messages. If I choose Organize, I can get in to the photo organizing section with no problem.
I'm running Windows 7. I tried uninstalling photoshop, reinstalling it, uninstalling it, ran the cc cleaner, reinstalled it, uninstalled it and removed the preferences, rebooted a million times, uninstalled and reinstalled again....I still can't get in. If I click on a .psd file the opening screen comes up and it sill just sits there. I went into Organize and loaded an update, that went fine, but still can't get in to photoshop. I can't do the restore to an earlier date, since I installed and uninstalled the program so many times, I lost that ability.
I see a lot of people asking the same question in these forums, but I don't see any answers. Can anyone help? I appreciate any assistance you can give me! I was so excited to use the program, and now it seems like I'll be shut out until I get a new computer, which is not going to happen soon!
Thank you,
HollyQuit the editor, then restart it while holding down Ctrl+alt+shift. Keep those keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.

Updates for photoshop will not work/wont open raw images
I have tried to update my photoshop and numerous times to open raw images in photoshop and it wont work, everytime i try to do it the installation fails and doesnt explain why and example is :
Adobe Bridge CS5 4.0.4 Update
Installation failed
Adobe Device Central CS5.0.1
Installation failed
Photoshop 12.0.2 update for Photoshop CS5
Installation failed
Photoshop Camera Raw 6.3 Update
Installation failed
can anyone help?Might be helpful if there are any more specific messages being shown to list them.
Just passing on what I've read: Some people using PCs have reported that removing Photoshop, reinstalling from their original media, then updating to the very latest works where they haven't been able to get the software updated via the integrated process. I don't know whether this applies to Mac, but it could represent something to try if you run out of options.
But before trying that, have you tried doing a manual installation of the latest updates? You can download the appropriate one(s) directly from the following:

Photoshop CS4 Extended, me rechaza Tableta Genius.
