Photoshop running poorly after recent update

Feb, 27, 2014: I recently updated Photoshop through the Creative Cloud app and ever since then Photoshop has been running in a very sluggish manner - it is usable, but barely. Operations take a long time and screen redraws are slow and clunky. I had been using Photoshop for quite a couple months on this new computer without issues. I believe I updated the Creative Cloud app at the same time.
OS: Windows 8
CPU: Intel i5 1.6GHz
graphics: built-in Intel HD 4400
RAM: 8GB
After Photoshop starts I hear the fan start to accellerate. Something about running Photoshop seems to be taxing the CPU heavily - this did not happen before. Please help.

MacBook running poorly after Yosemite update

Since updating to Yosemite last week, my MacBook Pro has been running very poorly. I have experienced a series of crashes, which I think I have attributed to use of Preview, frequent "rainbow wheels," freezing, and program errors when trying to perform just basic tasks, and a distorted login screen image. Additionally, just today, Mail will not send e-mails because it claims that it cannot detect the server, but I have not changed any preferences and am having no issues sending mail from my iPhone or iPad. Is anyone having similar issues? And any guesses on when the first update may be available to correct some of these bug fixes?

These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
A GPU restart report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".gpuRestart".There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A crash report has a name that begins with the name of the crashed process and ends in ".crash". A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". A GPU restart report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".gpuRestart". Select the most recent of each. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash or panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

IPhon 4: After recently updating to version 7.1.2, all my past calendar entries disappeared and I cannot add new entries.

After recently updating to 7.1.2, all of my past calendar entries for 22014 disappeared and I cannot add new entries??

What account were you using to sync your Calendar? Make sure that account is added to the device, and make sure that Calendars is turned on for that account.
Then, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and make sure that under the Calendar section that 'Sync' is set to 'All Events'.
Then go to the Calendar app, go to Calendars, and make sure that you have that account enabled.
Then, close out all the running apps on your device, and restart it.
Open up your Calendar app. Are your entries back?

HT3775 Quicktime no longer plays wmv files after recent update

after recent update, quicktime will not open wmv files. had no problem opening them up in the past. reinstalled flip4mac codec and nothing. don't want to use quicklime player 7 b/c need to use fast forward option that will not work with QT7. Any help is appreciated.

I ended up on the phone with an Apple iPhoto expert after scheduling an appointment online (go to Apple support). He spent an hour or so diagnosing my particular problem and was able to fix it. I can once again view all my mov files in iPhoto. Since every computer is different, you might want to try that route. He was able to view my computer screen and direct me to do different things.

Premiere Pro Windows crashing after recent updates

Machine specs: HP Z820 - zeon e5-2690 48gb ram quadro k5000. Since the recent updates & complete wipe of the system & fresh install, Premiere pro CC crashes regularly without any pattern. Using MXF files while editing if that helps-i did read a thread about that - but it was old. This is a new problem. The event viewer information:

Try finding MSVCR110.dll file on internet and replace it in the path C:\Windows\system32\MSVCR110.dll

It's mostly a server issue because millions of users are trying to do the same. Apple's servers get bogged down. Try waiting a bit - a day - before trying again. You can also check out this for other things to try.

After recent update to Mountain Lion, trash won't empty completely; says "item" inuse

After recent update to Mountain Lion, trash will not empty completely. Always an item left in trash, and I get message that the "item is in use." Right now, using app Trash it! to get rid of that left behind item.

Try rebuilding Trash and see if that sorts it...
Launch Terminal and copy & paste these commands:
Go to /Applications /Utilities/Terminal and launch it.
At the prompt, copy and paste this command
sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash
Press Return.
You will be asked to enter your admin password. It will be invisible.
Enter it and press Return.
Log out and back in or restart.
Let us know.

I expect that you mean some version of iPad.
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Flash Player crashes after recent update to Firefox 32

After recent update to Firefox 32, Flash player crashes frequently whenever i open any flash video.
I have latest Flash player installed (14).
I tried to uninstall Flash player and installed it again, also tried to instal flash player 15 beta and also tried to instal older flash player 13 but all in vain and problem is same.
Update:
i have noticed that this problem occurs in Firefox only while lash Player works fine in Google Chrome..
Please help me to fix this problem.

After recent update, cannot sign in Acrobat XI even after changing enhanced security settings

To get iMessage and Facetime working you have to goto "settings > General> reset > erase all content and settings"
After iphone reboots go thru setup like a new phone but chose restore from iCloud backup. Choose "see all backups" and chose one before you installed ios7.
Usually iPhone backs itself up when locked and plugged into charger so there should be a few to choose from.
The phone doesn't have to be pluuged into iTunes for this but probably should be connected to charger.
Don't wait on Apple. They seem to think there is no problem.

i have a time capsule.
symptoms:
excessively searching for network
but more often than not, it cant find the correct netowrk that is correctly stored in keychain
if i try network assistant opened through safari not finding its page, then it can find the right network after i enter in the password again. it connects. but only for a few seconds then it loses the connection again.
the only fool proof workaround for me is:
1/ shut down time capsule. restart time capsule.
2/ restart mac with airport turned off.
3/ after restart manually select the network from the wireless icon in the menu bar
airport utility is a complete waste of time
old airport utility is still better.
