Photoshop starts up when opeinng podcasts
I have a 5th gen iPod with video 30GB. I have found that when I try to open the podcast window on iTunes that the Photoshop Starter Album 3.0 program then opens automatically and tries to retrieve photos from the iPod. I do not have my iPod settings to sync photos turned on and can not figure out how to keep the Adobe program from opening automatically and trying to retrieve these photos. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I did try that webpage ( http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302856 ), and did up to this step:
Remove iTunes Preference files
Some of the files that iTunes uses to store settings and preferences may be corrupt and cause issues. iTunes has two folders where preferences are saved. Move one of them to the desktop and test to see if the issue persists. If it does, move it back and remove the second folder. The location for the two preference folders are:
* C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes
It now seems to be working +at least for the moment.+
I'm not sure how long the fix will actually work for, though...
I'll post again in a bit of time if it works or not.

Hi, just started on photoshop 13. When i import a photo and open layers, next to the imported photo is an icon indicating the layer is partially locked. When i try to unlock the image, the editing part of the screen disappears and is replaced by a transparency. What am i doing wrong

Hi I have a question about shooting in Raw with my Canon EOS 6d.
I'm in the process of learning photography and my goal was to start shooting in raw.
I have Photoshop CS5. When I tried to edit my images in raw I received an error message stating, "The photoshop camera raw plug-in did not recognize the format. If these files are from a camera, you may need to update your camera raw plug in."
In researching the issue I read that to edit in raw you need a camera model requirement of at least 7.3 which only works with CS6. My version of CS5 is 6.0.0.205. Being new to all this I see that my options are to upgrade to CS6 or convert by using DNG converter and paying a monthly fee. Two things I know nothing about and don't know which is would be more beneficial.
I'd appreciate any advise on which route to go and how upgrade and what it may cost. THANKS in advance!

That is correct. Your camera was first supported by Camera Raw 7.3. Camera Raw 7.3 will not work with CS5. You need CS6 or CC.

It all depends on your preferred workflow and your budget.
Using the DNG converter is free. There is no monthly fee. You use the converter to convert all Raw files from the EOS 6D to DNGs then edit the DNGs in CS5. That's an extra step every time - every photo. Some people don't like the extra step. Others don't mind.

Hello I have encounted a problem with Photoshop. Normally when you start a new documant, you are given the options to have A4, A3, ect page set ups. These inbuilt page set ups seem to have disapeared, does anyone please know how to fix this? Many thanks Ben [email protected]

Thanks for your message. You can custom set pages but there are no preset of page sizes like A4, A3, ect. I cannot click the size preference, nothing comes up

I just bought a new Mac Book Pro and did a migration of the content of the old laptop (also a Mac Book Pro) to the new one. Now I cannot start Photoshop CS6. When I am starting it I have a window "Adobe photoshop CS6 extended" opening requesting a connexion. When I am entering my password for the connexion the software crashes. How can I fix the problem?

On a Mac, in Adobe Photoshop CC 2014, when adding audio to an edit, i get the message "Could not complete your request, because Dynamiclink is not available".
When performing the exact same operation in Adobe Photoshop CC, i can add audio in the same way, no error message. Any ideas to solve this, anyone? Would be greatly appreciated.I tried to update and it keeps telling me to get the Application Manager. And this is what happens

Photoshop CC crash when using Nik Collection
I have been using Lightroom 5 and Nik Collections plugins successfully for a while and just got Photoshop CC.
Unfortunately Photoshop CC crash when I save my work that I have done in ColorEfex Pro 4 or SilverEfex Pro 2.
The other plugins in the Nik Collection works fine, I work with TIFF and layers. My work flow is that I do some basic work in Lightroom then "Edit in...PS". From PS I use the Nik plugins, normally I'd do Dfine, Sharpner and then SilverEfex or ColorEfex. The crash happens when I get back to PS after saving my work and that last layer is never created and all my work is lost.
I would be grateful for any help. Below is the data from my system. Thanks !

Installed TWAIN devices: NONEThe solution in my case when I posted this was to contact Google who sent me files that disabled the GPU, updating the driver didn't do the trick. The crashes stopped when the GPU was disabled but Nik was painfully slow.
No I have a new machine with a more powerful GPU and everything worked fine for a while then Colour Efex started to crash when I opened it in PS. Google gave me a link to AMD where I got the latest driver and now I think it's working again, I'm not sure because I have not done much work lately.
Bottom line....Nik seems to require a pretty powerful machine both when it comes to RAM and GPU.

IPod no longer stops playing when a podcasts ends
Starting with iPod software 2.1 and iTunes 8.0, my iPod Touch 1st Gen. no longer stops playing when the end of a Podcast is reached. It will start playing the next Podcast episode in the list although that is an older podcast that I have already listened to.
Prior to these software updates, I would be listening to, let's say, the MacCast podcast number 100, when it finished, the iPod would stop. I could then go up the list and play a newer episode or switch to a different podcast. However, now, once episode 100 finishes, the next episode down the list is number 99 and it starts playing automatically (even though I have already listened to it).
Is there some new setting I am missing? Is anyone else having this problem?

Photoshop stops working when i do anything 3d on it. Please help.
Photoshop stops working when I try to open a project that I have already started with 3d in it, also does the same thing when I start something new and try putting 3d in it, it stops working. I just bought a new computer only 2 days old.

Photoshop CS4 "Freezes" when saving as a JPEG
I have been using Photoshop CS4 with SnowLeopard and my MacPro for months now without a problem. I save multiple images everyday, often as JPEGs for the Web. But today, out of the blue with nothing changing (no new updates, or plugins), Photoshop "locks up" when saving a JPEG. I can still move the curser arrow, but everything is dead and the file did not save. I have to hit ESC just to get PS back online. I can save other file types, no problem.
Has anyone experienced this? Any help or solutions? I have the latest version of PS CS4.
(Note: If I go under Save for Web & Devices I can save it as a JPEG, but seems like an less than timely run-around)I have not experienced that problem, but with all unexplainable Photoshop-problems You might try trashing the prefs (after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences You’ve changed) by pressing command-alt-shift on starting the program or starting from a new user-account.
System Maintenance (repairing permissions, purging PRAM, running cron-scripts, etc.) might also be beneficial. -
Photoshop CS4 crashes when I drag layers
I received my brand new Macbook pro just the other day. I installed all of my old applications, including Photoshop, gearing up for a new web project. After working fine for a few days, Photoshop started crashing frequently. I found that the main culprit was when I tried to drag layers within a document. Dragging layers just sends Photoshop into a tizzy and causes a quick crash. Does anybody have any experience with this or know of any fixes?
It happened with me when I used to use elements 8, from the very 1st day after I got it from adobe website, so I found it was best to just save my work after each step. but not with photoshop

I'm using Photoshop CS for my Mac (OSX 10.4.11) and photoshop suddenly stopped working.
Initially install went real well and it worked for long time great. Suddenly photoshop stopped working and refused to start. When trying to start the photoshop, it loads application first and as it used to open the file I had requested, now it shuts down with error message.
I have tried to reinstall the photoshop with no luck. Always same problem.
Can you help me with this annoying issue?
I purchased this software from Apple store in Century City Loas Angeles, so it should be real deal and no blackmarket stuff.

I get this message when uploading my book from Lightroom to Blurb. "Some photos in the book have transparency. The transparent areas will show as opaque in your book." What does it mean? If I ignore it and upload anyway, the book looks ok in blurb. B

I bought cs6 through my school, but my macbook doesn't have a disc drive.
Is there a way I can put in the serial number into the trail version I already had downloaded on my computer?

Just launched my AI CS6 for the first time. I get the following error message "Unable to set maximum number of files to be opened" Tried a un-install and a re-install. No luck. Same message. All other CS6 apps are working. Suggestions?
