Photoshop subscription and 32 bit system

Hi,
I purchased a subscription which I thought would enable me to use Photoshop and pay monthly. I was then informed my system wasn't compatible with CC. Despite this, I thought I could continue, (and it let me) download Photoshop. Unsurprisingly it does not open although it appears in my program list. Should I look for a 32 bit version and will I have to purchase ouright, or am I doing things right and have some other problem?
If there is no way I'm going to be able to use this product, then my subscription becomes useles, and could you tell me where I can cancel and get my initial payment reimbursed.
Thanks for your time.

I believe you should still be able to acquire non-CC versions of the software with your subscription, though I am not well-versed in using the cloud as yet.  When I access the CC download page (https://creative.adobe.com/#products) using my 32-bit machine I only see non-CC versions of applications offered, but it does include Photoshop and numerous other applications (After Effects, Premiere, et al).
If you want to cancel the subscription visit the following page for information:

  • Photoshop subscription re-install

I have a Photoshop subscription and my pc recently developed a major problem HD failure so I've had to rebuild and re-install Win7 do I just re-install photoshop again from adobes download page or will this effect my subscription? Thanks Wayne

Yes is the short answer, I came across a similar question on the forum just sign in with your Adobe id and download the program you need PS6 in my case. A download manager will want to install first which will then install the app. IDEALLY if you can deactivate the old PS6 installation from your old pc FIRST because the product can only be installed onto two machines which might screw up your subscription in the future if you have to re-install again. Thanks Wayne
p.s this forum needs a bigger sign post on Adobes front page it took me ages to get back here

  • Photoshop CC 64 and 32 Bit systems

    Hello,
I am very new to Adobe CC and the various products it has. I do have a question that I would like to know the answer too, if someone would be so kind?
I have a workstation at home which uses a 64 Bit system and a laptop which is 32 Bit. If I start a Phortoshop PSD file on my 64 Bit computer, will it still work on my 32 Bit laptop and vice versa? I wanted to be able to still work on the project while I'm on the road, and didn't want to mess anything up, as I'm on my workstation more than the laptop.
Sorry for post such a simple question, but I'm pretty green when it comes to graphics software.
    Thank you in advance!
    Best regards,
    CoolantGuy

Hello! Yes, the files from the two versions are compatible (besides if you use a 64bits or 32 bits only third party plug-in). The 32 bits version exists because the 32 bits PCs are still very common, and for the plug-ins that were not still ported to 64bits.

I'm using a 15" Macbook Pro running OSX6.8 and cannot upgrade. I have a subscription to Adobe CC but none of these work on this so I was on with Adobe for 5 hours trying to install and launch Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Muse, and Acrobat Pro from CS6. Well, InDesign is the only one that works and I have a ton of work due! I don't have a serial number for Photoshop or Illustrator except for CS3, and they don't work. InDesign gave me no problems. Illustrator says it can't work on this machine. Photoshop needs a serial number. I'm stumped and getting anxious and freaked out. Can anyone help? Adobe Chat is down right now.

if you have a cc subscription, close ps > sign out and then back in to your cc desktop > open ps.
    ai cs6 requires:
Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support
Mac OS X v10.6.8 or v10.7. Adobe Creative Suite 5, CS5.5, and CS6 applications support Mac OS X v10.8 and v10.9 when installed on Intel-based systems.*
2 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended)
2 GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)
    1024 x 768 display (1280 x 800 recommended) with 16-bit video card

  • Is there a way to open photoshop cs6 in 32-bit mode on a windows 7 64-bit system.

I was wondering if there is a way to open photoshop cs6 in 32-bit mode on a windows 7 64-bit system, because photoshop won't recognize the pen pressure on my graphics tablet (yiynova msp19u) I read that some users got it to work in 32-bit mode on macs, and all my other programs like zBrush, art rage, sketch book pro recognize the pen pressure on the tablet.

well I am going to assume that the application marked photoshop is the 32-bit application, since the other on is marked 64-bit and I don't see one 32-bit. in any case it still not recognizing pen pressure and i have the newest drivers. The only thing I can think of now is that wacom drivers are interfering with it some how since they don't get along, although I was pretty sure i got rid of all wacom software.
Sigh, it's starting to look like I have to format my computer

  • Can you download a 32 bit installer for photoshop elements 12 to install on a 64 bit system (windows 7)

can you download a 32 bit installer for Photoshop elements 12 to install on a 64 bit system (windows 7). Thanks in advance

yes, if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here:  Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Direct Download Links, Premiere too | ProDesignTools
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

Both are referencing cooltype.dll. I ran Font Doctor on all system and non-system fonts and found no errors. Booted without Extensis Suitcase loading. Nothing works. All 32 bit programs work fine. Any clues would be appreciated.

It does not necessarily mean a "corrupt" font, but can be a font that PrPro, and PS, cannot handle.
Though I have read that changes have been made, Open Office's DejaVu font would crash PrPro's Titler - every time. There are quite a few others. Font Dr, and similar utilities, will not see the font(s) as corrupt, but they are so poorly designed, that PrPro and PS cannot deal with them.
Though it can be a long, drawn out process, one can often zero in on the problem font(s), with a little work. This is accomplished by first defining the "System Fonts," and not touching them. Then, uninstall half of the remaining fonts, and testing PrPro and PS. If they launch fine, you know that somewhere in that list of fonts, the problem exists. If there is still a failure to launch, chances are good that the problem font(s) reside in that half, that are still installed. Note: because the problem still exists, does not guarantee that there are NOT problem fonts in that uninstalled group, so keep that in mind.
Repeat the proces, by uninstalling half of the remaining fonts and testing.
If necessary, repeat by removing half of the now remaining fonts and testing.
When you get to a point, where you are no longer getting problems, reinstall fonts, in small groups, testing in between. The smaller the groups, the easier it will be to pinpoint the problem font(s).
Keep notes on which fonts you are uninstalling and reinstalling, until you narrow it down to the problem font(s).
I would start by uninstalling any "free fonts," and then commercial, 3rd party fonts. A lot of free fonts are just poorly designed, and can cause issues, though they might work fine in some other programs.
I use a font manager, so that I only have ~ 350 fonts installed at one time, and then dynamically install fonts, as needed for Projects. That keeps my machine clean, and if, upon installation, I get a crash/hang, I know that at least one font in that Set is causing it. This helps, as my workstation has ~ 19,000 fonts on it, and some are free fonts, and many are from 3rd parties. Some are also very, very old.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - one common cause for hangs on loading PrPro can be from VST's, used in Audio-editing. If you also have a lot of VST's, you could have two issues with two separate programs, i..e. PS hanging on fonts, and PrPro hanging on VST's. The results would be the same, but the causes could be different. That leads to even more work. For PrPro, also see this ARTICLE. If you get PS launching, but PrPro is still not functioning, drop by the PrPro Forum, and someone can help you there.

  • Punch in function? and 32 bit system support?

hi, can anybody tell me if
1)the 2014 audition version has the 'punch in' version back? ive tried audition cs6 (its great) but jumped back to audition 3.0 because of the missing punch in.and loop recording.
2)will audition 2014 work on 32 bit systems and is a membership necessary?

    1) Punch in worked OK on CS 6 and is still there in CC 2014. However auto loop record isn't in any new version I don't think.
    2) No, Audition from CC version requires 64 bit system. And yes the latest versions cannot be bought outright. You need to have an Adobe Cloud subscription to be able to use any of the CC versions of Adobe software.

Can I run the Photoshop CC and Lightroom with Windows XP professional as the operating system?

The tech specs for Phtoshop CC and Lightroom indicate Windows 7 with SP 1 is required as a minimum, so XP would not be sufficient to run them.   Here's the Photoshop specs:
    Windows
    Intel® Pentium® 4 or AMD Athlon® 64 processor (2GHz or faster)
Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1*
    1GB of RAM
2.5GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on removable flash storage devices)
    1024x768 display (1280x800 recommended) with OpenGL® 2.0, 16-bit color, and 512MB of VRAM (1GB recommended)†
Internet connection and registration are necessary for required software activation, membership validation, and access to online services.‡

  • I deleted the Photoshop trial and then bought the subscription

Hello, and thanks in advance for any help that I receive.  Today my Photoshop trial expired, so I deleted Photoshop from my system.  I then went and bought the photoshop single app subscription, but I can't download the product because Creative Cloud thinks I have it on my system already.  When I click on the download button after I purchased the Photoshop subscription, my Creative Cloud comes up and says that Photoshop is installed and up to date.  The Creative Cloud doesn't know that I goofed by deleteing the Photoshop trial.  How do I download the Photoshop I just boughtt?

    Hi Jeremy1985,
    Please follow the steps
Step 1: Sign out and sign back in from to creative cloud and see if that works else try step 2.
Step 2: Run the cleaner tool from the below link.

  • Is there a Photoshop/Priemer Element 13 for 64 bit systems?

I have HP laptop with windows vista, 64 bit system. I purchased adobe Photoshop/primer element 13,
however, after downloading the files and installing, I get message says "this version is for 32 bit systems and is not compatible with your
system, install 64 bit system version". I couldn't find download link to 64 bit systems.
Could you please provide link to adobe Photoshop/primer element 13 - 64 bit systems?
    Thank you

    Hi Ned,
Yes I did try the link you provided. It took several trials and over 12 hrs each time to download the file, but finally it worked.  First time it took over 38 hrs then I got message says partial download. So I had to try over and over again. Two weeks and no results, and I got frustrated.  Today, I took the laptop to my work and got Photoshop Elements trial version installed after 4+ hrs.
Now I am trying to download Premier Elements 13 and it is taking longer time (my download speed is at 8KB/s). I may need to try other alternatives.
I will let you know the outcome. Thank you for your help and support.

  • Having a problem with wireless connection. On my Windows XP 32 bit system and a 6510 printer, initi

On my Dell Latitude D620, Windows XP 32 bit system and my 6510 printer wireless connection (Linksys EA4500) , everything works fine after the computer is booted.  After a period of time (usually overnight), I lose connection to the printer (the scanner icon with a red x is shown on my Windows task bar and I can't print.  Ran Windows Fix and the HP fix programs.  The only thing that solves it is to reboot the computer.  A second symptom is that my IE8 stops connecting to the internet at the same time (gives a 'waiting for' response that never changes).  Firefox still connects OK when this is happening.  So I suspect the problem isn't with the printer, but with my Windows set up.  It is a fresh XP SP3 install (hard drive crashed, but it happened before also).  I reset IE, checked my proxy, no malware, happens with or without firewalls and security programs.
Hoping that someone else has run into this problem.  Been all over Google, and the IE doesn't work / Firefox works is fairly common, but none of the fixes helps.

If you want you can reload Firefox 4.0 or the last "old" version is 3.6.16 and is available here:
    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Just reinstall your choice of FF. The bookmarks are in a different directory and are NOT overwritten. Some of the Add-ons that worked in 3.6 DO NOT work with 4.0, pay attention and head any warnings when you start 4.0.
I had to disable extensions: Flashblock and WOT
Firefox SafeMode? - A troubleshooting mode.
1.You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut to open it again.
For more help, see this: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
    Hope this helps you out.
Feedback is appreciated especially if this helps you out.

Pagemaker is ancient, obsolete and unsupported. It was discontinued over 10 years ago. (Though why it is still sold is a mystery.)
If you want to run PageMaker, your best bet is to use a Win2K or WinXP PC.
Otherwise move to Indesign or look at Serif's PagePlus or Scribus.
