  • Can't download photoshop and dreamweaver in cloud. Says Installed, but I don't have it

So a while ago I was using the trial version of photoshop and dreamweaver. I decided to pay for cloud to access these programs but I uninstalled the programs first. Now when I click the download I can't install either one because it says installed next to the image.
I had asked someone on the website through the chat if I would have this exact problem and they told me so long as I purchased the product i would not have the issue. I didn't want to purchase if I was going to have the problem, but I'm having it
I needed this program tonight so I'm considering just cancelling

    Hi JessyaDoucett,
I would first double-check that you actually uninstalled them, usually the Adobe Application Manager checks the system to see what is currently installed, if Photoshop and Dreamweaver didn't actually get uninstalled that would explain what you are seeing.
Don't uninstall, rather check if these products are listed here
    on Mac OS
    1. Double-click your hard drive.
    2. Go to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers.
    on Windows
    1. Click Start > Control Panel.
    2. Click Programs and Features.
If they didn't actually get uninstalled you should be able to convert the existing installations to be included as part of your Creative Cloud Membership using this workflow
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/convert-cs6-licensed-under-ccm.html
If they were uninstalled but something went wrong you might need to install again from the trial or use the Adobe Cleaner tool as next steps
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
You can launch Adobe Application Manager from
Applications Folder on Mac or the Start Menu on Windows to reinstall when you're ready

Also, As well as the links below - another way to learn (including anyone else's bad habits) is to find a page you like, and then tell your web browser to show you the code view for the page and/or do a "Save As" and save the page to your computer to then copy & paste code segments into your file (in IE click View at the top, select Source from the options)

  • Using HTML file from Photoshop in Dreamweaver (Was: Help.....Newbie Here)

    Hi
I'm new to dreamweaver. I know a bit of photoshop and wanted create a simple  website using photoshop and dreamweaver. I created a layout and sliced out the different parts and when saved as web, it created a set of image files and a html file.
Now when I placed this html file in dreamweaver, everything got right just as I created in photoshop but when I tried to place an swf file on an image which was sliced out from the photoshop, the other images (sliced on photshop) get scrambled in dreamweaver. I tried everything but I can't understand how to place an object Even while placing text on an image file, the whole layout gets scrambled.
Any help please. I want to place a swf file and also write a heading "radio player" above the swf file on an image in dreamweaver.
    Thanks

Slicing the design from Photoshop will give you 'image' output - this is very bad practice. You're only supposed to slice design elements & use CSS to put them together within a webpage.
I'd recommend you take some time out and go through this tutorial before continuing to work - http://net.tutsplus.com/articles/news/slice-and-dice-that-psd/
This will give you a quick walkthrough of how you can re-create the PSD design using CSS for building a 'proper' website.

-This messages says (at least some) CC 2014 programs use NEW plugins https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1499663
-so do not uninstall the older CC programs if you use plugins in your programs until you are sure you have plugins that work in CC2014
If you are sure you don't need the old CC programs

  • Can't copy and paste between Photoshop and Dreamweaver

The recommended way to import assets from a Photoshop PSD files since Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 is to use the Extract panel.
In older versions of Photoshop and Dreamweaver (CS3 and above), you can copy a selection or layer from a PSD in Photoshop directly into Dreamweaver (you need both Photoshop and Dreamweaver installed on the same computer). This launches the Image Preview dialog box for you to optimize and save an image ready for the Web.
If you can't copy from Photoshop into Dreamweaver, make sure that the Export Clipboard check box is selected in the Photoshop General Preferences panel.
Many thanks to Bob Levine for providing this useful tip.

It sounds like you need to trash your prefs. See Replace Your Preferences
And it shouldn't throw that message, but also check to be sure that Paste Remembers Layers isn't checked in the Layers panel flyout menu or you'll never get anything to paste from one layer to another.

  • How well does a Macbook pro and a Macbook air run Xcode, Photoshop and Dreamweaver?

How well does a Macbook pro and a Macbook air run Xcode, Photoshop and Dreamweaver?

MacBook Pro - no problem, it is an extremely popular computer for running that software. Just look at the Adobe demo videos of their products, most of the time you can see a MacBook Pro running the software in their video.
MacBook Air - should be just as good most of the time.
However, if you get involved in heavy Photoshop work like highly stacked layers/masks/channels, 16 bits per channel or up, or merging HDR or panoramas, the MacBook Pro may be better because it can take 16GB RAM while the MacBook Air can take only 8GB RAM.
Also, if you are going to do serious programming in XCode or Dreamweaver, you may find the MacBook Air screen to be too small for all of the code windows and tool palettes that you may want to open and arrange in those programs. The 15" Retina screen of the MacBook Pro will let you spread out your work and do less window switching. The 11/"13" MacBook Air screens are both smaller and non-Retina so not as sharp.
Even Photoshop is nicer on the 15" MacBook Pro because of the extra screen space for the image with less intrusion by the tool palettes.
In short, if you are a casual user the MacBook Air will be great. If you are a professional with a heavy workload the MacBook Pro may be more efficient overall due to the larger screen and higher RAM capacity.

  • Updating to Mavericks issues with Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver

Since updating to Mavericks I am having problems with Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver opening files on Parallels VM and network servers. Will updating Java to 7 help? Everything worked before upgrade. Photoshop say files are empty, in Dreamweaver the document is blank and Illustrator crashes. If I open the files off my local machine everything works fine.

Go to each program forum, in OVERVIEW mode
Then, in the area just under Ask a Question, type in

  • I now have two copies of Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Muse. One set is CC and the other is 2014 - Why?.  Can I remove the CC version?

I have just updated a 2014 version of Muse. It is now Muse2014.1 Release. beneath that is: 2014.1.0.375. CL785695.
My query is it this: Is this the 13th August update that I have just installed?  What harm would occur if I ununstalled the Muse CC version. I also have CC versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Muse. I assume it is necessary to have both (?) otherwise wouldn't Adobe have removed the obsolete versions when the updates were uploaded?

DON'T! I removed the older versions and all hell broke loose.  Edit Original type commands stopped working and I had to go in and manually tell windows which program should open an already existing photoshop file, for example...bridge still doesn't seem to recognize PS2014 and I have to open photoshop files from photoshop...Kinda ridiculous if you ask me.

  • Help in integrating scroll bar between photoshop and dreamweaver

    Hello,
I'm a newbie to integration of other adobe products with dreamweaver. However, i was able to figure out the part where i can finally integrate my design from photoshop to dreamweaver.
Now my problem is that in my design i have a beautiful scroll bar. I can't seem to find an answer on the web for integrating the same design of this scroll bar into dreamweaver and make it functional in dreamweaver.
Just a bit of background on what i did is that i sliced my pages in photoshop and imported them into dreamweaver and everything is good. The only thing that's missing is making this design functional and most importantly the scroll bar.
    Really appreciate anyone's help!!!

    Hi there,
You can try using a jQuery custom scrollbar. They're pretty easy to set up and you can find them here:
    http://www.net-kit.com/jquery-custom-scrollbar-plugins/
Once you find a plugin that is close to your design, it's just a matter of switching out color/images/etc.

  • Photoshop and Dreamweaver on the Stock MacBook Air 11" 2012 128gb 4gb

    Hi
I'm just about to start my second year of university and have a budget of £850 and was just wondering would Photoshop and Dreamweaver CS6 run on the stock MacBook Air 11" (2012) with 128gb and 4gb.
I already have a 21" iMac (2011) with 16gb ram to do the seriously heavy loads so the MBA would be for propering essays and light to moderate photo editing and to design templates for websites. I dont play games and I use the iMac to watch movies and I use my iPhone to listen to music.
any advice will be greatly welcome
    thanks

  • How do I fix lost connection between Photoshop and Dreamweaver CS4?

How do I fix the lost connection in Photoshop CS4 to Dreamweaver? When I save for web and devices, Photoshop doesn't save for web but instead saves to the original file in Photoshop. The image doesn't show up in Dreamweaver's image gallery at all. Do I remove both from my hard drive and reload both? I don't want to loose anything in Dreamweaver or Photoshop.

Not sure exactly what you are asking since I am still a student learning Dreamweaver so I can only describe what is happening in non-technical terms. I have set up files in Photoshop CS4 for images that I plan to use in Dreamweaver as a gallery of thumbs that enlarge using the Behavior panel. I did this with over 100 images, first creating the correct size in Photoshop, then going to Save for Web and Devices, saving, and the image would then show up in my images list in Dreamweaver.
Now, when I save for Web and Devices, save, it doesn't show up in Dreamweaver. Instead, it saves it back into my original Photoshop file with hyphens between each word.
I have Windows XP Professional, Adobe Creative Suite CS4.
I don't know how this glitch happened, I did nothing different and have used the process successfully already over and over. I read as much as I could understand on the Adobe website and apparently glitches do happen but I don't understand how to resolve this. Do I uninstall both Photoshop and Dreamweaver, and reinstall both?
    I very much appreciate assistance!

  • How to add edited text from photoshop to dreamweaver

I edited text in photoshop to make it look nice and sparkly. I am trying to put it in a flash site but do not understand how. the context file only allows you to choose the color and type of font but nothing more such as drop shadows and such. when i go to edit the context code for the flash site what would the code for edited text in photoshop look like in dreamweaver context editor?

I am not sure I understand? There is no Photoshop code?
You would take the image you created in Photoshop and place it into your Dreamweaver document. Correct me if I don't understand what you are trying to do.

  • How do I insert a nav bar I made in photoshop into dreamweaver?

I have spent days making a roll-over navigation bar in photoshop and saved for web with slices,
but however I try to insert it into my webpages, (either as a library item or otherwise - not that I really know what I'm doing!)
It is always a greyed out mess once pre-viewed in browser!?
    Can anybody help??

Copy & Paste this code into a new, blank document (in code view, of course).  SaveAs test.html and preview in browsers.   Now examine the CSS and HTML code in DW.  The navigation element is not complex at all.  And you can easily change links inside Dreamweaver without ever opening Photoshop.
