Photoshop Touch registration (within CC acct) possible?

Dear community,
I hope you do not mind my newbie question here... But...
Just purchased Photoshop Touch for my iPad off Apple's App Store. So far so good...
Since I already have a CC account and a subscription for Adobe Creative Cloud, I would like to register my new purchase with my existing CC account, so it appears under my purchases/orders/products.
Could you please let me know how this can be accomplished? signing-in with my Adobe-ID does not automatically update my CC account with the new purchase information, and I have not yet been able to locate any serial-number for Photoshop Touch...
Any help or ideas would be highly appreciated.
Thank you very much.
Petros

I don't think this can be done. PS Touch is a separate app.
Thanks!

  • Help for purchasing photoshop touch

I have recently become really interested in photo editing and projects. I was browsing the Apple App Store and came across photoshop touch, a perfect way to get my feet wet. I immediately tried purchase it, yet informed me I had to have a flash on my phone to buy it. I have an iPod touch 4th gen because I prefer a simple phone for use as one. If I were to use photoshop I would not be using iPod shots but rather Nikon shots so this no-flash absurdity would not apply to me. If it is a hardware issue I have no problem with it but if it is not than hopefully it can be adjusted to a warning or something. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am sure you are eager to extend photoshop touch to as many as possible so hopefully this was just an overlook and can be adjusted in the future. Thanks again.
    Sincerely,
    Jeff

Firstly, thank you for such a speedy and quick reply. Secondly, I'm very sorry as I know realize how unclear I was. The error message refers to camera flash, not Adobe Flash. This is why it seemed very strange to me and why I was so curious about the requirement. It is purchase able with an IPhone, just not with my iPod touch 4G which does have a camera flash. Thanks for the reply and sorry for the misunderstanding.

  • Possible adjustments Adobe Photoshop Touch?

    Hi
For an event, we are looking for an interesting photo app that should be able to edit pictures by adding text balloons and text. These balloons will be designed by us and the text will probably be in Cooper Black.
My question: would it be possible to import the .AI text balloon file in Adobe Photoshop Touch (like a stamp or...), and can we pick the Cooper Black font on the iPad or is there a limited amount of fonts?
    Thanks!
    Bob

    Hi Bob,
Photoshop Touch wasn't designed specifically for what you describe but could be used. There are some limitations and considerations as the workflow would be a little different than what you described. I did something similar to what you described and will share what I found. Also note, Photoshop Touch is still being improved, so what I describe here may not always be this way.
I created my talk bubble in Photoshop CS5 using one of the native custom shape tool presets. I just created a large one with a stroke around the edge on a transparent background and saved it as a PSD, which I then uploaded to my Creative Cloud account. PS Touch is a raster rather than vector based application, so its not possible to import vector shapes (.AI files) or work with image data in a vector format. Text is vector when being created but raster once created. Overall, I would say that the workflow is much more labor intensive than doing something similar in Photoshop, just because this is a simpler less complex application so consequently requires many more manual steps.
Another significant consideration is what you are doing with images after completion, are they being printed, posted online, etc. PS Touch currently supports a max image resolution of 1600x1600, which is fine for images being posted online, but might be too low for some printing in some cases. The last thing that I discovered that I would want you to know relates to working with text, the software does include Cooper Black, and comes with about 30 different font styles (limited to these as they are built into the app itself). When creating text, one can only create a single line at a time (no return to make two lines) and it is not possible to define a set size (no point size option) so you would have to scale them manually to match. The last point relates back to vector, once a text layer is created it cannot be edited, so if there was a typo or you wanted to edit the text you would need to recreate it.
Photoshop Touch is probably one of the most complex image editing apps available on the tablet today but it’s not as powerful as Photoshop on a computer. This is currently not possible with tablet hardware and software capabilities. I have seen apps in the App store specifically designed for creating talk bubbles and text on images, I haven't used them but I know they exist. If it were me I would probably explore all my options (software on tablets is generally much less expensive than desktops anyway). Even if Photoshop Touch wasn't the perfect match for this exact workflow it might be worth the investment just to have it in your arsenal of tools for other editing or image alterations.
    Hope this helps,
    -Dave

  • Adobe Photoshop Touch Question / Issue

    Hello,
I bought Adobe Photoshop Touch some time ago for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and I liked it so much. Of all the apps I had for photo editing, this one gave me all I need. I used to own Adobe Photoshop CS2 on my old PC so I wanted something for my tab as well. I was very satisfied by this app until my tab died some time ago. After a pain of service and repairs, the tab worked again but it had a new issue. Anytime I used the device on something more demanding (i.e. playing games ) the tab overheated a lot and the screen started to touch itself very much as, if it was pressed all the time. After some time of struggle with it I decided to wipe it clean and pass it out to a family member who would maybe dedicate more time to fix it.
Last month I bought myself a new device ( Sony Xperia Z ) and I was eager to get all my data on it and apps of course. To my sadness Adobe Photoshop Touch is not compatible with my device now, and it just sits there in my app list doing nothing . I could install only Photoshop Express but it does not give me the full access I had with Touch. I saw that there is another product called Photoshop Touch for smartphones and it seems to be the same as what I had only phone edition.
My problem is that I can not get this new app unless I pay for it and I do not wish to do that because I already paid for the previous edition.
My question is: Can I somehow obtain the Smartphone edition and the previous version ( which apparently is for tablets I suppose ) be removed from my Google Play account. I would purchase the smartphone version but there is no point in having 1 app 2 times.
I would happily like the staff to remove my previous version from my account if they would gave me the smartphone version and I acknowledge that the tab app was more expensive than the smartphone version and Adobe will not refund me the money difference nor are they obligated to give me the smartphone version. I am just asking if it would be possible because I like that app and it's such a shame for it to be in my app list and not be used. Thank you for your time in reading this and no matter what answer I get, I will be ok with it. Have a nice day .

I don't think you'll have much luck. PS Touch for tablets was designed for just tablets; PS Touch for phones was designed for just phones. Touch for phones came out a little later than Touch for tablets. (By several months, if I recall.) On the brighter side, if you ended up buying Touch for phones, you'd be covered no matter which device you had.
Both are very similar in function. I believe the only differences are their UIs; Touch for tablets is landscape-oriented-specific while Touch for phones is portrait-oriented. (Some elements are also placed differently.) I imagine this allows for maximum utilization of screen real estate and element placement.

  • Can I open a CS6 Photoshop file in Adobe Photoshop Touch for Phone?

I am trying to rountrip a ps file to/from Adobe Photoshop Touch for Phone to/from CS6 Photoshop on a mac. Is it possible? It seems (so far) I can create a .psdx on the phone and edit on my desktop, but once editing in CS6 PS, I can't get that file back on the phone for editing. Any ideas... or is it a one way street from phone to desktop right now? thx!!!

    Hi there,
In general, the .psd format is fairly backwards compatible. To help get your files ready to be opened in CS3, follow this process:
    1) Go to Photoshop > Preferences > File Handling.
    2) In the menu, make sure Maximize PSD and PSB File Compatibility is set to always.
Just in case, you may also want to save your file as a .TIFF, which is a format that will also preserve your layers and is able to be opened in older versions.
Please let us know if you need any more information, and good luck with your project!

  • How to open your Photoshop Touch project file in Photoshop

How to open your Photoshop Touch project file in Photoshop
When your files are stored in the Creative Cloud, you can access them on your mobile device using Adobe Photoshop Touch, or on your desktop computer using Adobe Photoshop. Photoshop Touch can open files in the following formats: PSD*, PSDX, PNG, JPG, and GIF. And, with a free plug-in for Photoshop CS5, CS5.1, and CS6 you can open the PSDX files created by Photoshop Touch in Photoshop.
[Note: PSD files can only be opened via the Adobe Creative Cloud. The file is converted,  layers are flattened to a single layer, and  other info that is only supported in Photoshop is removed.]
Download the plug-in (if you have CS6, skip this section)
    1. If you have CS5 and CS5.1, you are required to download a plug-in to be able to open your PSDX files in Photoshop. If you have CS6, you are not required to download the plug-in (it is native within the version). In a browser on your desktop computer, navigate to the Creative Cloud Homepage ( https://creative.adobe.com ). Sign-in to Creative Cloud using your Adobe ID, then navigate to the Creative Cloud Apps & Services page (https://creative.adobe.com/apps).
    2. Click download under “Touch App Plug-ins” to start the download and install process. Included with the installer is a plug-in for Illustrator CS6, which enables opening of Ideas files (.idea) in Illustrator, and a plug-in for Photoshop CS5 and 5.1, which enables opening of Photoshop Touch files (.psdx) in Photoshop.
    3. You will be asked (if you haven't already) to install the Adobe Application Manager. Follow the steps to install the manager, and the Touch App Plugin should begin the download and installation process. If it does not, click install next to the “Touch App Plugins” icon in the Adobe Application Manager to start the process.
    4. You're all set to start opening your PS Touch files in Photoshop CS6.
To save a Photoshop Touch file for upload to the cloud.
    1. Launch Photoshop Touch and ensure that you are in the organizer view. (Tap Done in the upper-left corner of the screen to move from edit view to the organizer view.)
    2. Tap to display the share menu.
    3. Select the file(s) to upload
    4. Select the file format to upload to the cloud. Then tap OK.
    5. Once you save the file format, you have a choice to e-mail the file as a attachment, or save a copy. By pressing cancel, it still can be uploaded to the cloud.
Uploading PS Touch files to the cloud.
    1. Tap the settings button in the top right corner.  Then tap My Account.
    2. Tap Sign in. Sign in with your Adobe ID. To obtain an Adobe ID, go to : https://www.adobe.com/account/sign-in.adobedotcom.html. Once you are signed in, the total storage available in your Creative Cloud is displayed.
Sync your Photoshop Touch files to the Creative Cloud.
    1. Tap the Creative Cloud icon. Make sure the Sync files toggle is switched to the on position.
    2. When Creative Cloud sync is turned on, you can see your files being synced to your Creative Cloud account.
Open a Photoshop Touch file in Photoshop
    1. On your desktop computer, launch a browser and navigate to the Creative Cloud website. When you are signed in, navigate to your Photoshop Touch file. Click to select the file.
    2. Tap the download button in the top right corner.
    3. When the download dialog button pops up, select PSD. Once the file has been downloaded, you can open in Photoshop (CS5, CS5.1, CS6) on your desktop.
    4. When the file is opened in Photoshop, it displays its layers (Note: that if the file is dragged and dropped, and NOT downloaded, it will not display the layers).

Lightroom 5.3 should be able to open D600 RAW photos.
The problem is most likely that you used some version of Nikon software to transfer the photos to your computer. This interferes with Lightroom's ability to read the files. If the files are still on your camera card, use Lightroom to directly access them from the camera card. If they are not on your camera card, you can still fix the files, see http://forums.adobe.com/message/6181267#6181267

  • Can one develop plug-ins for Photoshop Touch?

I have a few Plug-ins for Photoshop CS, can I develop plug-ins for Photoshop Touch for Tablets?

I would love for there to be a way of using my favorite plug-ins within PS Touch but I imagine that's a little more complicated than using the standard 8BF plug-in standby.

  • Photoshop touch for phones messes up on Note 4 resolution.

I just installed Photoshop touch on my new Samsung galaxy note 4 after happily using it on a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and a Samsung Galaxy K Zoom.
I've found out it uses different methods to retrieve the device's resolution for different interface elements, making it completely unusable.
here's a list of several things that go wrong:
1:(low impact) loading indicators are much smaller than they should be.
2:(low impact) the zoom indicator is off by 2/3rd.
when I zoom in to what I know to be 100% Photoshop claims I'm at 33%.
if I zoom in to what Photoshop thinks is 100% I'm actually at 300%.
I've done some testing and it seems the zoom function is based off a screen size of 480x854 while my screen is 1440x2560.
3:(medium impact, exacerbated by other issues) the bar for settings colors for gradients is less than half the width it should be, leaving very little space to work with.
4:(high impact) this is going to be a long one, so first a little back story on a feature of convenience added to the phone version: touch zones.
certain interface elements, mostly the ones in the form of a white dot with either a symbol or a color on them, have a "touch zone" surrounding them.
the dots will respond even if you miss, as long as you touch within their touch zone.
this reduces frustration when trying to manipulate images using fat fingers.
unfortunately this feature contains 2 bugs.
-1: touch zones override dots, so if 2 dots are within each other's touch zone attempting to move 1 dot by touching it precisely can cause the other dot which is further away from your finger/stylus to move instead.
this wouldn't be that much of an issue if it wasn't for bug 2.
-2: the touch zones on the note 4 are 2CM (almost 1 inch) wide.
this means it's completely impossible to alter gradients, and causes resize/cropping tools to misread actions.
actions like stretching to the right, or moving to the right instead cause shrinking from the left side.
right now the tablet version is more usable than the phone version on the note 4.
this really needs to be fixed.
    some suggestions:
fix overlapping touch zones, so the nearest dot always responds.
reduce the touch zone size, nobody is that inaccurate.
find a way to reliably retrieve the screen resolution on the note 4, or add an automatic override if Photoshop touch detects its running on a note 4.

it has been well over a month, and it's still being ignored.
this app is supposed to be compatible with the note 4, but it still doesn't work properly.
and it bothers me that every time I mention a compatibility issue it's completely ignored.

  • Photoshop Touch Refund

I have always been a fan of adobe's products. Photoshop being my primary tool for doing graphic design work. I decided to buy your adobe photoshop touch for my new tablet I had just received thinking to get similar results. Ie: Being able to draw an image on multiple layers and come out with a professional looking image. I did not realize this app was primarily for photo manipulation and that trying to draw on this app would be like trying to use ms paint. I was unable to connect to the internet within the 15 minutes to refund. I would appreciate one now. I purchased it this morning. I used it once.
    Thank you.

For $10 for the app, I shouldn't have to "try and give it more time". For $5 I got another app that does everything I expected photoshop to do and I can export my images as psd files so I can finish them (with saved layer profiles) in Photoshop on my computer. I was expecting more from a program that I have used for years to create images from scratch. I merely expected a condensed version I could use for rough ideas while I travel. I am fully aware that Tablets aren't desktops, I wouldn't want one to be. The simple fact of the matter is that I wasted $10 on an app that doesn't work nearly as well as an app I got for half the price.

  • Adobe Ideas and Photoshop Touch for iOS 7 iPhone 5s

I've been attempting to open the designs I create on Adobe Ideas onto my Photoshop Touch for editing. Is this possible? If not, then what should I do? I'm a novice to all of this.

Wish I could help offhand but I'm on Android (which doesn't have Ideas anymore). Ideas produces vector files, no? Someone at the App Store site mentioned you can open the files produced in Ideas in something like SketchBook Pro (which can, in turn, produce raster file formats like PNG, JPEG and PSD).

  • Adding snow in Adobe Photoshop Touch

    Hello,
How can I add snow (or snow filter?) in Adobe Photoshop Touch?

Or is it not possible in the 'Touch' version? :)

I was able to reproduce this tutorial but instead of using a noise filter (*hello, Adobe?* Noise filter? Pretty please?), I used the "Grainy Night" filter and "Shred" instead of "Crystalize." Came out somewhat respectable. You'll have to know where the other respective tools are in PS Touch as it's a little different.

  • Can i upload photos to the adobe creative cloud so i can access them in photoshop touch?

using photoshop touch on my android tablet (motorola xoom), i can't seem to directly access photos located in various folders on the tablet, on my pc, or on my mac.  if i upload photos to the adobe creative cloud, can i then bring them from the creative cloud into photoshop touch on the tablet?  if so, how do i upload photos to the creative cloud?  thanks.

thanks, dave ... your demo is what I needed ... much appreciated.
however, if i try to upload to the creative cloud using a motorola xoom,
there seems to be a very limited number of folder/file choices/locations
from which i can perform the upload, whereas if i attempt the same action
by accessing the creative cloud site via a pc browser, i seem to have
access to all of the pc's folders & files.
specifically, if i attempt to upload from the xoom, here are the choices
    provided ...
    - Camera
    - Camcorder
    - Sound Recorder
    - ASTRO
    - Bluetooth File Transfer
    - ES File Explorer
    - Gallery
    - QuickPic
    - Select music track
... of course some of these are android apps i've installed onto the xoom
... but are you aware of any reasons for this limitation, and whether this
set of choices can be modified (either via photoshop touch or the creative
cloud or the xoom)? for example, i use dropbox on all my devices (pc, mac,
droid, & xoom), & it's my preferred location for many pics ... i'd like to
be able to upload from dropbox to the creative cloud using photoshop touch
on the xoom ... do you know whether this is possible, and if so, how to do
    so?
    again, many thanks!
