Hi
i have some problems with workspaces in photoshop cs2
well
I did some worskspaces
one that i use more is "mantra standard"
well i select the workspace , clicking on it
like in the first screenshot
but after shut down photoshop cs2 and start it again
I find the workspace non chosen, selected
like in the screeshoots 2
I tried to reset the preference but nothing sad.gif
I use xp sp2 with last update

that strange thing is that if i load a workspace with a menu with some colors , and after i load a workspace with color
the colors stay when i reboot photoshop
and if i give a look to edit -->menu --> i can't find menu with colors , I have to click ok to make them disapear
I use photoshop cs2 and pc xp sp2
I tried cs3 too and i saw the same problem
what's wrong?

Photoshop CC help needed urgently
PLEASE HELP... I have recently joined Creative Cloud and have no problems using and of the applications, except Photoshop. The message – Could not initialize Photoshop the internal file signature is incorrect – appears when I try to open the application. I installed Photoshop CS and have had the world's worst nightmare trying to get it activated.
Not surprising really. The activation server was permanently decommissioned in 2012.
You now need to download a fresh, non-activation version of CS2 from Adobe and use the new serial number provided to license it without requiring activation. Your existing serial number will no longer work.

My Photoshop CS3 extended when loaded on my laptop causes all of my desk top icons to turn to photoshop, the only program that will open is photoshop. This program until recently worked great. Anyone with answers would be a big help. Thanks Jess
If I am understanding what you are describing correctly, that sounds like a virus.
Also, it sounds like Photoshop is still working great, but it is the only program that is working great.
Are the icons on your desktop shortcuts? Or are they files? If they are files, it sounds like they have had their file association set to Photoshop. Which means when you double-click them, the OS will use Photoshop to open them. This is something that is set within the OS, not within Photoshop. -

hhello everyone I picked up a used copy of photoshop cs3 and cs4 yesterday and I was wondering how do I find out if I can use these. I understand that there is a serial number and an activation code how many computers and I upload and use this program for. Also if it hasn't been deactivated how can I make it so that I can use it on my own computer. I have the Mac version

The CS3 and CS4 versions of Photoshop are platform specific. One serial number means you can use it on 2 machines provided you are not using them simultaneously.
In order to obtain the license the previous owner needs to transfer the license to your name.

Indesign and Photoshop?HELP NEEDED NOW!!!
How do I make a copied photoshoped picture bigger without distorting features in indesign? Please help I have this project due in a couple days and am starting and don't know much about indesign!
Anytime you enlarge a bitmap bigger than 100% of its pixel dimensions there will be pixelation. It is only as good as it will get at 100% of its original size.
When you place an image directly on a page its initial placement is at 100%. The scale percentage has nothing to do with pixel dimensions, but rather the image's saved inch dimensions.
So these 3 images are all at 100%, have the same pixel dimension (1200x750), but have been saved at different pixels per inch 72, 254, 500. The 500ppi image could be scaled to 160% and still have an effective resolution of over 300, and the 72ppi image has a scale of 100%, but not enough resolution for most print applications. -

and type of Processor
Chances are for a PowerPc processor, photoshop cs4 is the newest version you can use

After reading solutions online and trying them for my settings for 2 days I am still unable to print what I am seeing on my screen in Adobe CS5. I calibrated my monitor, but am not sure once calibration is saved if I somehow use this setting in Photoshop’s color management.
The files I am printing are photographs of dogs with lots of detail I digitally painted with my Wacom tablet in Photoshop CS5 and then printed with Epson Stylus 1400 on inkjet paper 20lb with slight luster.
My Printed images lose a lot of the detail & come out way to dark with a reddish cast and loss of detail when I used these settings in the printing window:
Color Handling: Photoshop manages color, Color management -ICM, OFF no color adjustment.
When I change to these settings in printer window: Color Handling: Printer manages color. Color management- Color Controls, 1.8 Gamma and choose Epson Standard it prints lighter, but with reddish cast and very little detail and this is the best setting I have used so far.
Based on what I have read on line, I think the issue is mainly to do with what controls are set in the Photoshop Color Settings window and the Epson Printer preferences. I have screen images attached of these windows and would appreciate knowing what you recommend I enter for each choice.
Also I am confused as to what ICM color management system to use with this printer and CS5:
What is the best ICM to use with PS CS5 & the Epson 1400 printer? Should I use the same ICM for both?
Do I embed the ICM I choose into the new files I create?
Do I view all files in the CS5 workspace in this default ICM?
Do I set my monitor setting to the same ICM?
If new file opens in CS5 workspace and it has a different embedded profile than my workspace, do I convert it?
Do I set my printer, Monitor and PS CS5 color settings to the same ICM?
Is using the same ICM for all devices what is called a consistent workflow?

HELP NEEDED! I have been working for 3 days in a "new doc". Of course i have saved several times (control+s)
but i do not remember it asking me about file name or folder. Today my comp crashed and i do not find the file. Just found 2 files (a tmp and one with no extension)
: one with 174 mg and another one with almost 2 gb. Is there any possibility to recover my work? Photoshop did not oppened a thing when i restarted comp
Thanks in advanceThe TMP file is your Scratch Disk file, and cannot be "recovered" to an Image file.
Your second file might be almost anything. Though designed more for video files, both G-Spot and MediaInfo (both free file info utilities), CAN read several Still Image file types, and might help point out what that file (the one with no extension) really is. OTOH, as it could be almost anything, it could be that there is no header info in the file, for either to read.

PS - Before I did much additional work, I would investigate WHY your computer shut down. If you are on a PC, I would go into Event Viewer, at the time of the shutdown, and see if you can track down any warning, or error messages, in both the System and Applications Tabs. I am pretty sure that a Mac has similar, but have not a clue where, or even what it would be called. -

I have one more question. I have a context.xml file under {color:#0000ff}E:\Deepa\workspace\DBTest\WebContent\META-INF{color} folder and that has the Resource element to connect to MySQL database:

So to overcome this error I had to place the <Resource> element in DBTest.xml under C:\Tomcat 6.0\conf\Catalina\localhost {color:#000000}and then it works fine. {color}{color:#ff0000}*Why is the context.xml file in META-INF not considered by Tomcat server using Sysdeo Plugin?*

Okay, I've figured it out, so I'm going to answer my own question in hopes that it may help anyone else that would like to actually be able to see what they're doing when using Photoshop CC 2014 on a high resolution screen.
1. Open Photoshop.
2. Select Preferences from the Edit Menu, then select General.
3. Change the HUD Color Picker to Hue Strip (Medium).
4. Select Interface from the Preferences menu on the left side of the dialog box.
5. Change the UI Font Size to Large in the Text area of the Preferences dialog box.
6. Select Experimental Features from the Preferences menu on the left side of the dialog box.
7. Select Scale UI 200% for high-density displays (Windows only).
8. Click on OK, then Exit/Quit Photoshop.
9. Open Photoshop and everything should be readable.
