Photosmart 2710 inactive with Copy, Scan, Fax, Photo and On lights blinking.

Pressing any buttons on console has no effect. Error messages include: 0x823boe60, 0xc0620004, 0xb9000007. At the center of screen the following appeared during one failure: 165:hw_interrupt_hwv2.c
Some times the printer prints correctly, then the flashing lights begin. Sometimes pulling the power, then powering up again works for a while.
The computer is wifi connected to a mac, and two desktops, one with Windows 7 and one with Ubuntu 11.04.
Is there firmware available for this printer? Any other help is appreciated.

I saw your post about how ever since your power went out, the display on the printer will not function properly, causing you to not be able to scan, copy, or fax. My best suggestion would be to try another power reset (below), and if the screen still does not work properly, to contact us directly to see what your replacement options are for another printer.
Reset Instructions:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Make sure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power.

  • HP Photosmart 7520 printer window displays "Loading" can't copy/scan/​fax from printer.

    Our power went out approximately five days ago.  Once the power came back on I unplugged our computer and printer, replugged them in tried to restart each.  We are set up wireless....through our landline phone service and satelite TV.  The PC works fine, I can print from the PC with the HP Photosmart 7520 printer and it prints fine.  However, the printer does not display any functions in the printer screen.  I am unable to get it to come back so that I can copy/scan/fax.  The printer window just keeps displaying the word "Loading" and the circle keeps going around on the printer screen (for 3 hours today.....same thing before....I keep shutting the printer down and retrying to no avail)  We did get a message of some error "syntec" not connected.  We have no idea what that is.  Everything is connected exactly how it was prior to our power going out.  The printer is just over a year old.  We seem to keep having issues of various kinds with this printer. We are not very tech savy but, can usually get things accomplished on our PC and we have used the printer often to copy/scan/fax.  Thanks for any help, much appreciated.

  • I have a faded streak down middle of page when copying, scanning, faxing only

    When I copy or scan a document the copy or scanned page comes out with a faded streak verically down the middle of the page.  the faded area is approx 2 3/4 inches wide.  I can print from the computer fine, no streak appears on the printed copy.  This only happens in copy, scan and probably faxing.  I've done all troubleshooting for scanning, faxing and copying for this type of all in one printer.  Any suggestions.

    thanks but exactly how do I do this.  I tried setting the new macair up using migration assistant but for some reason not everything has come through.  I bought a thunderbolt cable to improve the transfer rate.
    Now my question is how do I transfer the iTunes folder.  I have authorised the new macair for iTunes and am within the 5 computer limit.

    I couldn't find Image Capture at my first try, butI will try again. Do you inow how I can find the corrupted photo on my iPhone? Im a bit lost..
    Sorry, I just noticed, I made a mistake. "Image Capture" is in the Applications folder, not Utilities. And it may have a different name on your Mac, if your system language is not English:  Look for the icon with the camera:
    When Image Capture can import from your iPhone, spilt the folder with the imported photos in several small subfolders and try to import them separately to iPhoto. This way, you can identify a subset of photos with the corrupted one.
    Then try to import from that small subset one by one, until you hit the culprit. And then delete that photo or video from the phone.

  • Trouble syncing Apple TV. It will copy a few photos and then stop.

    I have a 1st generation Apple TV, a MBR900 Cradlepoint wireless router, and an iMac.  I lost the photos on the Apple TV and am now trying to get them back onto the Apple TV.  When I go to sync using iTunes, it will copy a few of the photos and then stop.  There is plenty of room on the Apple TV. 
    I have tried restarting the router, restarting iTunes, and unplugging and replugging in Apple TV.  It will then download a few, maybe 10 at most, and then freeze.  I am running Apple TV 3.0.1and iTunes 11.0.1 with Snow Leopard on the iMac.
    Is one of the components not doing its job and which one?

    I have now rreplaced the Cradlepoint router with the Apple Airport Express.  The Cradlepoint router was obviously not working right.  I was able to set up the Airport Express in the quickest and easiest of effort.  It then proceeded to sync with the Apple TV with iPhoto the more than 13,000 photos without a break in 3 plus hours. 
    Should have gotten the Airport Express to begin with.

  • How do I scan a photo and move it to iPhoto?

    I know that I can transfer images from my printer to iPhoto because I've done it before. I guess it's been a long time and I've forgotten how. I've tried placing a photo on my HP Deskjet 4480 glass and pushing scan. I just get multiple print outs and they're really poor quality. The entire sheet is composed of stripes of the original.
    I think this is an easy fix, or fixes. Please help me if you can.

Can I keep the copy of a pic and just delete original? like I know all photos go to one folder..but lets say I copy a pic to a folder I create..I go back to delete out of main folder.and it deletes it everywhere. anyway I can have the folder keep it? I get pics of dailies I shoot and I wanna keep em in a seperate folder.

    The albums you can create on the fly only link to the camera roll.
    But you could get a photo folder app and store the photos there, and keep the camera roll empty.

    We have used the HP L7780 as a stand-alone copier (not connected to a computer or a network).
    We are now ready to donate the unit, which still works well, but are concerned that its internal memory (or disk drive) may store images of copied data which is sensitive information.
    How can we erase/overwrite that memory without destroying the operating system?
    We want the printer/copier to be functional for the new owner.

    Hi TechUserOKC,
    If you have only used the printer as a stand-alone copier without connecting it to a computer or network then you don't have to worry about images or data being stored in the unit. However, if you have faxed with this machine there is a chance images from faxes could be stored and saved in the internal memory. In this case you would need to restore the factory defaults on the printer.

  • Problems with copying between Adobe Illustrator and keynote

    I have recently switched from Tiger to Snow Leopard. A lot of my keynote presentations have started acting up since. Many images that I copied from Adobe Illustrator (CS3) are reported as "missing" when I open the presentations. Also, some Adobe illustrator arrangements give keynote problems when I copy them into a presentation now. The problem here is that I can copy them into keynote but then I cannot duplicate them or copy-paste them again. If I save a presentation containing such images and try to open it after closing it, the same problem about "missing" images becomes apparent.
    In comparing with other computers used by my colleagues I have established that this does not have anything to do with my computer. It turns out, any machine running Snow Leopard has these problems but any machine running Tiger or Leopard does not. The problem is present in both keynote 4.0.4 and 5.0.4.
    In trying to narrow down the problem I found out the following. The problem is text box based. If I copy a text field (or an arrangement containing one of these) from illustrator into keynote and if that text field contains more than one line, and if that line break is mediated by the "shift-return" key combination, the problems I mentioned show up.
    Does anyone have the same problems/know a solution? It is quite a major flaw for me, it essentially means I can dump all my old keynote presentations.

    In copying these from Illustrator to Keynote, I'm assuming that they are pasting into Keynote as a PDF? Also, is there any difference between printing to a PDF then dragging that in and just copying/pasting into Keynote?

  • I'm scanning in photos and want to change to order within the event folder. Changing the scan number isn't doing the trick.

    What exactly do you want? Photos in events are sorted by date which for scans is the date/time that the scan was done. You can change the photo date/time using the batch change date/time command

  • I have scanned a photo and saved it as a jpeg

    I saved the photo as a jpeg on my desktop and tried to import it from there to iPhoto.  This is the message I got.  /Users/JohnandBarbaraKnox/Desktop/Joaninchair.jpg       I then rescanned it and tried to scan it to iPhoto and the same message came up.  I have never had this problem before.  What dod I do?

    What color profiles is the scan? It must be RGB (sRGB is recommended) for iPhoto

    I dont know what the "other" category is in my phone storage usage and its taking up more than half of my storage on my iphone

    What fixed this for me was clearing/deleting old text conversations that included videos and photos. "Other" was taking up about 6 gigs until I cleared the past conversations. To clear the conversations (after saving any videos and photos to your camera roll):
    Click on the Messages app. Click on a text conversation that includes videos/photos. Click "Edit" in the upper right. Then click "Clear All" in the upper left, then confirm the delete.
    This worked for me. Hope it works for you.
