Photosmart 5515 web services

Hello,
Just after buying a HP Photosmart 5515 printer. Setup went well, except I cannot enable web services. I tried several times and same message - server connection error. Any help/suggestion will be much appreciate.
Thanks,
Dan

I would power cycle the router and the printer together by first turning off the router(usually have to unplug it), then power off the printer. Then turn router back on and wait for it to come back on fully and then turn printer on and wait for the calibration to finish. At that point try to enable web services again. If that fails you can set a static IP address and DNS on the embedded web server. Message back if you are still having a problem.

  • Photosmart 7510 web services and efax no internet access

I finally got around to setting up my printer to work wirelessly.  Everything seems to be working ok on the home network.  I was also able to use the ePrint app on my iPad to print.  But...when I select a web service or try to register for efax it tells me the printer does not have internet access.  I did a quick check on my printer to give the printer a static IP to reduce problems later. I didn't see any issues with connectivity but may not have known what to look for.  I'm not to concerned about the the web service apps but do want to get the efax working.  According to the network configuration page I printed, the printer is connected, infrastructure mode, has an IP, and I'm not using MAC filtering.  So any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello @BM84 ,
    Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that you are getting an error message from your Photosmart 7510.
    I would like to help.
For the web services portion, you could try setting a manual DNS.
I find Googles DNS works well with the printers.

Efax 7510 still won't work after turning off/on ePrint several times

  • Photosmart 7250 Web Service

    I have 2 issues:
    1. I just bought a Photosmart 7250 (3-8-2014). I cannot get the webservice to connect. I am connected to the router and can see the printer in my router devices. I can even print through my router using the Netgear USB, but i can't get ePrint to work...Any ideas? I am running windows 7.
    2. I have a Mac computer on the same wireless network. If i connect the printer to the Mac i can print, but I cannot see the printer on the network and cannot print through the router or connect wirelessly to the printer. I suspect this might have something to do with a router setting that i continue to explore. Thank you for any help

    Hello twolefthands,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you have 2 different issues regarding your Photosmart 7520.  I see that in the titled you put 7250 put the only Photosmart 7250 printer that HP has was released in early 2009.
You indicated that the printer will work when you have the USB cable plugged into your iMac.  It sounds like you installed the printer using the USB cable and accidentally missed the step to switch it to a wireless connection.  I’ve included the Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection document.  It has a section dedicated  to each supported operating system.  Within each operating system there is a sub-section for switching from a USB connection to a wireless connection. If you happen to be using Mac OS X v10.9 please follow the instructions for Mac OS X v10.8.
To enable the web services, please set a manual ip address and manual DNS servers.  I’ve included a link to another post that has the instructions with screen shots.  I know the screen shots are for a Photosmart 7510 but the steps are exactly the same for your Photosmart 7520.

  • HP Photosmart D110 Series getting error message when connecting to web services

    Hello guys!
Hope someone can help. We have a HP Photosmart D110 series that is a couple years old. I am trying to get it connected to the web services feature for my wife. When we first got the printer it connected with no problems. When I go and click on enable web services it tells me cannot connect to server. Same error message happens when I try to do a product update. I tried to change manual preferred to 8. 8. 8. 8. and manual alternate to 8. 8. 4. 4. with no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!!!

Hi Daniel, is there a chance that something has change in the intervening time in your home network e.g. a new router? • HP 7520 Photosmart scanning error message: Unable to connect to Web Services

After many successful efforts in the past, suddenly I cannot scan to email on my HP Photosmart 7520. I have tried several of the solutions posted to no avail. The steps will cover your printer, even though they are different Photosmarts.

  • Re: HP Photosmart 7525 unable to connect to Web Services

    Gary,
I'm having the same problem, unable to connect to web services.  Can you help?

    Hi @VinceASal,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.   I understand that you are getting a connection error message when trying to enable web services on your Photosmart 7525 printer.
Please set manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer.  If you are unsure how to do this I have included a link to another post that has the steps, including screen shots, on how to do this.  Please do not worry that the screen shots are for a Photosmart 7510, the steps are the same.
Please let me know the outcome.

  • HP Photosmart Plus B210 connects to network but cannot enable Web Services

I am on my second HP Photosmart Plus B210 and neither printers have been able to enable Web Services.
When I try to connect I get "Cannot Connect to Server".
I have had my computer, router and printer settings checked by HP Support desk.
I have changed my IP Settings to manual and set up DNS settings as per the Network Config report.
I can print without connecting with a USB cable and I can see the printer on my internet browser but for some reason this printer cannot download Product Updates or enable Web Services.
In desperation, I have got another router - a BT Home Hub 2.0 (which I had spare) and tried this in case my Netgear DG834G Router was causing the problem but this has not changed / helped my problem.  I still cannot enable Web Services.
Do I take up HP's offer of a 3rd printer?

Yeah, it is worth a try.  I had my HP rep get me one ASAP...but its still silly on HP's part.
Its like selling you a car and saying, "Oh but if you want to use the radio, you have to buy this remote for it because the keypad on the stereo we provide does not work"  .. "Oh and we dont include the special remote with the car"...
That's just not worthy of the brand "HP"

  • Photosmart 7520 scan to email problem. Unable to connect to web services

I have a Photosmart 7520 working perfectly and suddenly since a week ago when I try to scan to email problem I get the error Unable to connect to web services
I followed all the forum instructions. Removed power for over a minute from the router and printer and connected the router first.
I checked that the apps in the printer main screen work ok,
I followed the suggested steps below
    1. Obtain your printer's IP address
    a. This can be done by pressing the wireless icon on printer.
    2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.
    3. Select the network tab at the top of the page.
    4. On the left select networking.
    5. Select Network Address (IP)
    6. Select Manual DNS Server
    a. Manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8
    b. Alternate DNS Server should read. 8.8.4.4

    And nothing works.
    Any help please??

  • HP Photosmart 7520 unable to connect to Web Services, also for 7525 ??

I have same problem with WEB services for a 7525 as posts for 7520.
Home screen web acces works, printing works, etc. only the scan to e-mail which did work, now  doesn't.
Spent  great deal of time trying to make it work per post 7520 suggestions.
Is the' solution' post for the WEB problem also applicable to the 7525 wireless printer??
If not then, how do I correct??
Is this representative of the NEW HP quality for its productws??

     Hi @RICH7520
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I gather that you are getting the connection error message when enabling the web services on your Photosmart 7525 printer.
Yes the solution for the Photosmart 7520 printer to set a manual IP address and manual DNS server is valid for the Photosmart 7525 printer.  They are both members of the Photosmart 7520 series of printers.  For easy reference I’ve included the link to the post that has the steps with screen shots on how to do this.  Even though the screen shots are for a Photosmart 7510, the steps are the same and screen shots are the same.

Pretty much the same issue as everyone else...bought the printer at Costco last year.

I have tried everything with rebooting the printer, placing it back to its factory settings etc. The scan to email app worked for awhile and then it just stopped and sends the error message "unable to connect to web services" everything else is connected and works via the web services and is connected except this.
