Photosmart 6520 all in one not printing

Hello,
My HP Photosmart 6520 all in one printer will not print anything in black and it has a brand new cartrige in it. I have tried restarting the printer, and the computer and it is not helping. Please help.

If you are still having difficulty, please call Phone support regardless of your printers warranty status. The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.

    Hi,
    I have a HP Photosmart e-all-in-one wireless that I have been using for my Apple devices (Mac, iphone, ipad) for years and recently it started giving me problems. 
    First month or so ago, out of nothing the MacBookPro would not see the printer connected, in dispite of been connected to the network. During that time I was able to find it connected from my iphone & ipad. Then I was using to print from these last two.
    Now, not even from my iphone & ipad. It seems that printer does not exist at all, coz it always says "printer not connected" on the MacBook and "No AirPrint Printers Found" on the ipad & iphone. 
    I've noticed that on HP website, the most updated version of the Mac is 10.9 and my devices has 10.9.2 Is this the problem? If so, how can I get by and continue to use the printer? I need to print ASAP.

  • HP Photosmart C7280 All in One - not printing

    have replaced black & cyan cartridges but still get printer message saying Out of Ink. Have restarted printer and computer, downloaded printer driver, unplugged and reconnected.  Control Panel shows cartridges all have ink, but still get Out of Ink in Print menu.

    I would like to help you with this. I suggest removing the cartridges and reinstalling them, if an alignment does not begin automatically, I recommend performing an alignment manually. Please follow the instructions below.
    Remove the cartridges.
    If the alignment page does not print, press the Setup button ( ) on the front screen of the printer
    Press the Down Arrow button ( ) to select Tools, and then press OK.
    Press the Down Arrow button ( ) to select Align Printer, and then press OK. The product prints an alignment page, aligns the printhead, and then calibrates the product.
    After the success or failure message appears on the control panel display, press OK to continue.
    If the issue persists, clean the printheads
    Open the HP Solution Center, click on settings
    Under Print Settings , click Printer Toolbox . The Printer Toolbox opens in a new window.
    Click the Device Services tab.
    Click Clean the Printhead.

    I can't get anything out of it. Cartridges are ok. Print cartridge alignment fails every time I do diagnostics. Please help tax time is upon me....

  • Hp - photosmart e-all-in-one wireless printer cn731a- nothing prints??

    HP - Photosmart e-All-in-One Wireless Printer  (CN731A)
    Went through setup on Windows 7 64-bit, printed the test photo, came out great.  Thought everything was good to go.  Later, when trying to print a document, it wouldn't print.  Computer popped up a message saying "Successfully printed" but when I went to the printer, there was nothing there.  I tried running a wireless network test on the printer's screen, and once that page printed with the results, immediately after that, the document I was trying to get finally printed.  This was an early Christmas gift for my parents, & my mom just informed me that she tried to print again today, but nothing happened on the printer.  I am out of town now and am not able to troubleshoot on my own on the printer like I did a couple days ago so came here for advice.. Any idea what the issue might be? Did I maybe miss a step after doing the test print of the photo?  Any ideas would be appreciated!

    Try the below steps ..
    While the printer is ON, Unplug the power cord from back of the printer.
    Disconnect all the cables that are connected to the printer.
    Wait for 30 seconds.
    Plug in only the Power Cord. ( Printer would Power on ).
    Try making a standalone Color copy of a document . If it fails to print a copy, then it could either be an issue with the Ink cartridges  or the Printer .

  • HP Photosmart 6520: Black ink is not printing evening after installing all new ink cartidges

    Good evening,
    Printer has been working great since I've bought it.  I replaced the black ink cartridge today because my daughter remarked that blank pages was printing ... no word doc.
    Tonight I tried to print and no black ink, neither from the Printer function nor the Copy function.  
    Just to make sure that this wasn't a bad black ink cartridge, I went out and bought and installed all the ink cartridges and still no black ink,.
    I have run the software - Clean Printheads, both steps, twice (after waiting an hour inbetween the first and second series.)
    I have verified that the in flows from the cartridge.
    I have verified that the vent hole on the cartridge is open.  
    The warranty ended on 12-31-2013. 
    The only time I see black ink (words) is when I print the PRINT QUALITY DIAGNOSTIC report.
    Printhead removal does not appear to be user available.  Any suggestions - other than buy a new one?

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are running into some print quality issues on your HP Photosmart 6520, you are unable to print in black ink after replacing the cartridge.
    I would like you to continue here: Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages, I understand you may have done some of these steps already but I need you to complete all steps in order to resolve the missing black issue you are experiencing.
    Please note: There are three printhead cleaning stages. Complete all three stages if necessary. If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last (third) cleaning stage to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.
    If you are still unable to print in black ink, I suspect the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. Please let me know which Country/Region you are in as well as the product Warranty status: HP Warranty Checker

  • Photosmart C5180 all in one not copying and or printing

    My Photosmart C5180 all in one-- will not print material from my computer. It will not copy either.
    I did a print test from my computer's solution software and a nice picture of 2 pears came out fine
    in living color. I did an extended self test diagnostic - 2 pages--and the headings (product information, etc)
    printed out fine in black and blue ink---but the info under each heading printed really really light - not readable.
    When I try to print from my computer I get a blank page. When I try to copy something it sounds like it
    is printing, but the paper is blank.  Thanks for the help.

    Hey Spider! First off welcome to the forum.
    I would recommend removing all the ink cartridges, unplugging the USB cable from the computer that connects to the printer, and then shutting the printer off completely by removing the power cord. Then restart your computer. Turn the printer back on but leave it disconnected from the computer. After it has finished its power on cycle go ahead and insert the ink cartridges back into the printer and be sure to seat them properly.
    After you have all the cartridges back in the printer properly then connect it to the computer. See if this resolves the issue. If not post back with any findings.

    Why does the wireless printer take several minutes before it prints?
    Why does it print only the top banner of a web page?
    Why does it print only quarter or half the page of a document or web page?
    Why does it continually lapse into “pause” mode?

    Do not connect a USB cable to the router.  This will confuse and defeat the wireless connection.
    Let's add the printer using WPS:
    FIrst, start the WPS process from the front panel of your printer (Setup [Scan] > Network > Wifi Protected Setup)  Then:
    open the Apple Airport Utility
    select your wireless router
    select Manual Setup
    select Add Wireless Clients ... from the Base Station menu
    Select First Attempt then press Continue.
    You have to start the Apple Add Wireless Client process within two minutes of starting the printer's WPS pushbutton method. Actually, order doesn't matter ... you can start the Add Wireless Clients process on the the Apple router first then start the printer's WPS pushbutton method.
    Now your printer will be connected to your router.
    Because there are two printer icons in the list, let's reset the printing system again:
    - Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
    - Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
    WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
    - Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

  • Photosmart 6520 all in one.does not pick up small photo paper

    New printer,it will print on a4 paper,but will not pick up small6x4,I have taken all other paper out,and tried shutting off and restarting it,I even cleaned the rollers as suggested,still no result,I have only had this three weeks,it did print one picture off when I first tried it,but not now,would be very happy if someone could resolve this for me.

    I am sorry to read about the issue you are having with your new Photosmart 6520 not picking up 4x6 paper. I understand you have cleaned the rollers and that did not resolve the problem. I have researched this and have found a couple of documents that I recommend you look at to ensure all of the print settings are correct when printing on a 4x6 or any other size you wish to print on.
    I am unsure if you have a Windows or a Mac computer, therefore I will post 2 different links for you to look at depending on which operating system you have.

    Egr: Sig. No error message in the control panel is READY, has printed the test. DO NOT print from your computer. HP Computer in 6220 with window 7/64 bit. = tiscali WI Fi network. the printer is connected with the cable to the computer. I also tried with Doctor.   • Hp photosmart c309a all in one series printer indicates the wireless radio is not functioning.

    The printer has had difficulty finding the wireless router.
    I had a problem with the print coming out on an angle.
    I cleaned the rollers with a dry rag now the wireless radio is not functioning at all.

    Try resetting the printer.  Turn it off.  Hold the # and 9 keys while turning it back on.
    If this does not work, call HP support: www.hp.com/go/totalcare (click on Printers & Monitors, use the phone number on the resulting page).

  • I have an hp photosmart c7280 all-in-one series printer won't print. error message, system problem

    I have an HP Photosmart All-in-One C7280 series printer/fax/copier/scanner. I have been having issues with printing for the past few weeks. It is a wireless printer, with a jack into the wall (for fax) and it is plugged into a power source. I never used to have issues with it before, but recently, it won't print when I send a document to it to print. It will print its configuration pages, reports, etc if I select them from the Printer's menu but not when I send a doc to it to print. First it was saying it was offline, but I figured out how to override that by operating as an administrator and selecting "Use Printer Online" from the dropdown menu when I right clicked on the printer from the control panel. But now it says "Error: Printer failed to print document. System error".
    Noooo clue what to do now. This is the only color printer we have so we kind of need it to work. We bought this printer off the shelf at a office store (before I started working here) and so we don't have any designated technichians to work on it. I asked the guy who services our Image Runner Copier to look at it but he had no clue what was wrong with it. Hopefully someone can help?

  • 7510 e-ALL-IN-ONE not printing black ink.

    I have a Photosmart 7510 e-ALL-IN-ONE printer that has worked beautifully until the last time I replaced the black ink.  The printer screen says the ink cartridge is full, yet nothing will print.  I checked the vent on the cartridge, it seems to be fine.  I performed the clean cartridge procedure, but still nothing. This has been a great printer; what do I do?

    I would suggest the troubleshooting steps in the document here to address black not printing on your Photosmart 7510.  If the first four solutions listed to not resolve the issue the post here may help.
