Photosmart 6520 keeps disconnecting from wifi

HI there I have 6520 and when it was new perfect, always ready to print, even from the HPweb print service. Then my router was changed to a dual frequency one 5gh and 2.4gh and ever since the printer drops wifi connection all by itself.
Nothing else behaves like this. I have tried changing the router channel to 11, still no improvement. I have also made sure the the two frequencies act as 2 routers. I tried using USB connection to my main PC as well, and that too will not print unless I restart the printer.
This is driving me mad now, it is as though the eco mode puts the printer to sleep but it will not wake up - can the ecomode be disabled???
Reading through the Forums this is an HP issue and new firmware is required as a matter of urgency!

Yes ECO mode can be disabled and should.  Read your manual.
These settings are for setting up your wireless printer to stay connected to your router, keep wireless devices better connected and makes your router secure and hack proof.
1. Set a static IP in the printer (click here) outside the DHCP range of the router (check your manual).
This is for Linksys routers but can be used for all routers. Verify your DHCP range and change this
first if needed. More Wireless Printing help is here (Windows solution 4, static IP).
2. Verify in the printer that 'Auto Off/Sleep' is disabled.  Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) by going
to the printers IP address in your browsers address bar, click Settings Tab/Auto Off. Or use the Printer
Assistant, Printer Home Page (EWS). Also check your Printers Properties.
3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, turn off IPv6 in the printer.
4. If needed and you assigned a static IP address, try using 8.8.8.8 for the Preferred DNS server and
8.8.4.4 at the Alternate DNS server.
In the router: (Refer to your router manual for information)
5. Use a fixed wireless channel like 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.
6. Set router to 20Mhz only, or 145Mbps depending on router.
7. Always use WPA2-AES (Personal) encryption, but you can try ‘mixed’ mode.
8. Disable WPS and never use it and disable UPnP for the routers security. Nobody can hack your
system now and helps with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, search the web).
9. If you have a dual band router (2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz bands), make sure the SSID’s are NOT the same,
they must be different for all bands, even for any Guest networks.
10. SSID broadcast must be enabled.
11. Save all settings. Power off both, wait 2 mins.  Power on router wait 2 mins.
12. Power on printer and verify it reconnects to router.
Windows 7/8/8.1   Is Network Discovery on or off?

    Hello,
Is your printer connected to a wireless network with Internet access?
Do other web services work on the printer? Meaning, can you use ePrint or the Printables on the front panel? (printables = apps on the printer like Disney, Menu Planner, Quick Forms, and so on.)

  • My Macbook keeps disconnecting itself from the internet

Recently, I bought a Macbook Pro in September and ever since I got it, the connection with the internet have been weird. It keeps disconnecting itself from the internet. I know it's not my router or home internet because my Touch and other laptops have a consistent connection. The Airport icon has a full bar. I can reconnect, but I have to go to Network Diagnostics constantly to connect back to the internet, only to be disconnected 10 seconds later.
Out of desperation, I figured I do a clean install of Snow Leopard (why not since my Macbook is new anyways)! The problem is still there, the Macbook is updated to Version 10.6.1. Can someone help please? Is it my network settings? Is anyone else having this problem? Ahhhh

Same problem, however my internet tends only to disconnect upon awakening after an extended period of sleep or after several hours of use. The problem does not occur when I connect to my schools network. I'm not sure whether the problem lies with my airport extreme - it works fine with other computers and registers with a green light even when faulty on my MBP. Also, simply turning the airport on and off does not always work for me - at some stages I have had to reset it - still to no avail. Connecting the base station to my computer by the ethernet connection does however re-establish the wireless connection on occasion. Also, I find after long periods of use my usually full airport connection drops a few bars and the internet slows down. Restarting the computer fixes this! Anyone got any idea where the problem lies??

  • Need drivers for photosmart 6520 to print wirelessly from IOS 8

CanI I send drivers from an iPad mini wirelessly to an F6 photosmart 6520 printer. Where do I find them?

    Hello Marciagarcia,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
The drivers for the Photosmart 6520 would be pre-installed in iOS 8. This printer would use AirPrint offered from the Apple device.
Is this the first time setting up and trying to print, or are you trying to resolve an issue?
Read through the info here about AirPrint: Printing Over a Wireless Network with Apple's AirPrint FAQs.

  • Macbook Air Disconnecting Randomly from Wifi

Recently, about a week or two ago, I began noticing that while on WiFi my Air would just disconnect from the internet. The four bars would still show, the mac would still be working, but it would be just long enough to disconnect me from everything I was doing forcing restarts. After I got extremely fed up with this, I tried my last resort - a PRAM reset. This fixed it... for 2 days. Now it's happening again, about once every five minutes. Anyone else experiencing this?

    Power Cycle
Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait for few  minutes.
Connect the router back to to the wall.
Power the router back on. Wait  until all lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
    Restart the computer.
    Start up in Safe Mode.

  • Why does my iPad keep disconnecting itself from my Wi-Fi

A couple of weeks ago I noticed my iPad had disconnected itself from Wi-Fi, so reconnected and thought nothing of it. The next time I turned it on, it had disconnected again (Wi-Fi was still on though) so I clicked in to settings again and back onto my network. All works fine - good - but then the NEXT time I turned it on (from sleep, not fully off) it had disconnected AGAIN.
This has now become the norm for my iPad. Constantly disconnecting itself from the network and doesn't reconnect automatically when I fire it back up.
Can anyone think what might be causing this, it's pretty annoying.
(I've tried switching it off fully and back on. No dice...)

    Hi,
Try changing your security options on your router to WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES].  You will need to log into your wireless router to change this.
It worked for me.  Before it was dropping frequently and after the change, it is still connected over a day later.

  • Wireless keeps disconnecting

I have an old Portege M200 tablet laptop using Windows XP that has the intel(R) pro/wireless 2200BG wireless connection that was communicating fine with my old Linksys wireless-g router. I recently replaced the wireless router to a NetGear WNR1000v2 and now the Portege won't stay connected.
I have dealt with NetGear tech support which solves the problem temporarily - it will connect for a few minutes, then it disconnects, connects, disconnects and finally stays disconnected. When I hardwire the laptop to the router, there is no problem.  NetGEar says it's a problem with the laptop.  Toshiba wants me to pay for support since my laptop is out of warranty.  I have a desktop(XP) and another newer laptop (Windows 7) that have no problems whatsoever connecting to the routerr. It's just the Portege with the problem. I've tried disabling the firewall, changing settings with the router, etc. Nothing is working.
    Anyone have any ideas?

Assuming you have the base model Portege M200, , here's your model's download page:
    Portege M200
But, make sure that is your full model number!
You say you worked with Netgear tech support, but did they make you, or have you installed the latest firmware update for your router:
    Netgear WNR1000v2 Firmware V1.1.2.28
As well, make sure you have the most recent Toshiba BIOS update, as there were several for your unit:
ACPI Flash BIOS version 1.80 for Portege M200
Still not working? I'd uninstall the Toshiba ConfigFree Utility in 'Control Panel - Programs and Features' and then completely uninstall your WiFi driver.
To completely uninstall a driver in Windows 7 see here, I'd stick with Method 1, especially if you've never edited the registry before:
    http://www.petri.co.il/removing-old-drivers-from-vista-and-windows7.htm
After completely uninstalling the utility and driver, I would then run some registry cleaning program like CCleaner, then reboot.
Finally, try to reinstall the WiFi driver again:
Intel Wi-Fi 2915ABG and 2200BG Driver for Windows XP
    Then reinstall ConfigFree:
Toshiba ConfigFree Utility for Windows XP/SP2
Good luck! Let us know if it works.

  • Disconnecting from a running subvi (i.e., fork)

Is there a way to start a subvi running, but not wait for it to finish?  That is, to fork or disconnect from the subprocess?
For example, my main timing program starts subvi 1 at certain intervals (say, 10 seconds).  This subvi will, based on certain conditions, run subvi 2.  Subvi 2 will take longer than 10 seconds to complete its job, but subvi 1 needs to be completed and ready to run again when the timing program calls it again 10 seconds later.  It will not call subvi 2 this time, knowing it has not completed its job.
    Thanks,
    Karl.

Your SubVI1 needs to open a VI reference for SubVI2. This will load SubVI2 into memory. Normally I do this when starting the application. You have to provide a path to the Open VI Reference primitive and be aware that the path will change from development environment to built application.
Use this reference in SubVI1 to start SubVI2 with the invoke node "Run VI". You can set the Invoke node not to wait until completion. This will start the execution of SubVI2. If for any reason SubVI2 is running when calling the node you will get an error in the error out of the Invoke node but SubVI2 will continue running.

  • Phone is disconnecting from the "radio service" cant reconnect

I've lost my email and BB IM capabilities.   Connection Manager says the radio service has been "turned off"  I can't figure out to ' turn it back on"

My Subaru Forester 2012 wouldn't reconnect automatically to my new phone.
It did my head in for months.
Thanks guys, because of you, I worked this out.  My Forester needed the "handsfree" setup, not just a Bluetooth pairing.  Reading your posts, suggesting to setup the phone through the steering wheel buttons worked.
But only to initiate the hansfree component.
From turning car accessories on - Pressing "off hook" button on the wheel, initiates the "handsfree" setup.  Because I'd done this originally, my old phone was in here.  Deleted it using the tune dial (no voice commands) and deleted pairing on iPhone 4.
Turned car off, and back on again, pressed "off hook" and using tune dial, recorded new phone profile name, and paired the phone.  Now it auto connects everytime I get in the car
    Woohoo.

  • HH5B disconnecting wireless from wifi booster, but...

On Friday the 27th Feb, we had bt infinity installed, and since then, our wifi extenders have been working/not working intermittently.
On Friday afternoon, the Internet was installed, and the two computers that are connected via Ethernet do not drop connection, and DID have speeds of roughly 75mbps (this has since gone to around 20mbps, though I hope this is just the Internet "settling in").
The problem arises when I try to connect any wifi extenders to the network. All of our wireless devices(iPhones, iPads etc) can connect to the wifi fine, however, when we try to use the extenders, the simply cannot connect and when they do, the connection drops and the home hub has to be reset. This then makes the extensions work, if they are also restarted and reconnected.
This is what happens to the Internet on the of connected to the extender, after restarting both the extender itself and the hh5: the Internet says connected on my pc, and works for any time between 5 - 20 minutes. Then, the speed of the Internet plummets to 0mbps, but it still says connected to the Internet. 1-2 minutes later, the pc will say lost connection to the Internet and the only way to regain connection is to restart the hh5 and the extender and sometime the PC, then the process repeats itself.
We have 2 bt dual band wifi extensor 600s which worked flawlessly with the HH4, though no do not work. I also have a Netgear WN3000rp extender, which I plug an Ethernet cable into to have Internet on another pic upstairs ( the hh5 is directly downstairs of it). I have tried connecting replacing the netgear with the bt extenders but they struggle to connect and when the do, they do exactly what was described above.
I have called BT, and all they said to do was to change "sync with 2.4ghz" to no, which has done nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Ben

yeah it dose connect successfully but no access to the internet!!!
it can just load one page then notihng at all and if i restart my wifi connection it dose same thing,
i've tried reseting the network system and everything!
i think the main reason was reseting the access point,
    what should i do?

  • Please help, Macbook keeps disconnecting me from internet

Hello, i just bought my macbook pro. Its a Mac OS X ver. 10.5.7 with a 2.26GHz processor.
    I have a Netgear 54mbps wireless router WGR614 v8 and a Motorola SB5100 SURFboard Cable modem.
Now the problem im having is with the internet connection with my mac. I live in Virginia and It was working before i went on vacation to tennessee which is an hour behind virginia. It was able to connect with no problems. It was also connecting fine in tennessee as well. But when i came back to Virginia, the mac would connect to my router or atleast say its connected but i can't use the internet at all. I would load either firefox, safari, or itunes store and the page would begin to load and then stop loading in the middle. As if it was freezing, dropping the connection or something. When i look through the airport connectivity, it would stay connected to my router with still no access to the internet. I also checked to make sure i was in the correct time zone with my mac and it was correct.I have a wii, xbox, original pc that are connected to router that operate perfectly. its just my macbook wont connect wirelessly when it used to before i went to tennesse and took it with me. Some of the error messages that i get when i try to use the internet via macbook now are "can't open page because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection" but then minutes later it would connect again, then internet would work. But shortly after it would stop working for a while. and the process continues like a cycle. PLEASE HELP BECAUSE IM CLUELESS. i've looked at many forums but no solution.

OK, I have been having the same problem. I have been renewing my dhcp every 5 min, so frustrating. I don't if this is the answer but this is the first time in a month I have been able to go for more than 3 hours without having to change anything, plus it seems faster. Instead of resetting your modem and router at the same time, unplug them both. 1st plug in your modem, allow it to fully reboot then plug in your router. Seems to have done the trick, good luck.
PS. I did clone my mac address in my router settings earlier this week.
