Photosmart 7350 Windows 8 driver

Will HP ever provide a driver so I can use my Photosmart 7350 with Windows 8? Just got a new laptop, and really like my 7350 - don't really want to buy another printer. Thank you, Denise

I got my HP photosmart 7350 printer working with windows 8 by using the Deskjet 5550 driver as an alternative.  I followed the steps in this link for windows 7.

  • I have a photosmart 7350 that won't print on my xp update 1 machine. it runs the diagnostics from

Photosmart 7350,  Windows XP Upgrade 1.
The printer runs diagnostics at the printer but not to the computer.  The computer shows it as the default printer, but won't print a test page, a command line page or a notepad page.  The printer que shows the print command and a second later says deleted.

I would strongly recommend upgrading to SP2 or SP3 since both made changes to the printer backend. Has it ever worked?

  • Hp photosmart 7350 Printer Driver for Windows 7

I can't seem to locate a Printer Driver for my HP photosmart 7350 printer. Hp states the driver for the HP deskjet 5550 should work, but it doesn't.  I just bought a new computer and was hoping not to have to buy a new printer.

    Hey farhanchd,
What is the full name of your HP Laserjet printer?
There are several models in the HP Laserjet 1100 series and would need to know the exact name to give you precise instructions.
I do know that the Laserjet 1160 has a driver available through the Windows Update system and may be the same for your printer.  Please take a look at the information in the link provided below.

  • Can't install hp photosmart 7350 series printer on my hp laptop with windows 7 home premium

I am trying to install the HP Photosmart 7350 printer on my HP Laptop (serial number {Removed for privacy}; serial number{Removed for privacy}). The driver was not listed so I searched for a compatible printer. I found the Deskjet 5550 was compatible. I downloaded this driver then followed the directions for installing the alternate device. When I selected the Photosmart 7350, I was give the prompt that this device might be harmful to my hard drive. How can I install this printer safely? I do not have a disc with the printer. Do I need to get one or can you give me an alternative.

I also need a printer driver to connect an HP 7350 to a Windows 8.1 laptop.

  • Installing hp photosmart 7350 in windows 8.1

I can not get my new computer a lenovo runing 8.1 to find my hp potosmr 7350 printer it akes a noies on the computer when the printeris pwered up or down

The Deskjet 5550 is a reasonable match for the Photosmart 7350 for printing.  You could try installing the Deskjet 5550 driver in a manner something like the alternate instruction for using the Photosmart 7350 in Windows 7.  When you do the "Add a printer" in Windows 8.1 it will search for a while, click Stop, then "my printer is not listed", then continue as shown in the Windows 7 instructions.

  • I change to windows 8.1 and it does not recognize my hp photosmart 7350 printer. HP can I fix this??

Dear Everybody: How can I conect my lovely Hp Photosmart 7350 Printer to my new windows 8.1 PC.? Bot are not compatible because my printer is too old. Any hint??? Thank you. Roberto

    Hey @rob1836,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I would like to assist you today with installing your HP Photosmart 7350 Printer on your new Windows 8.1 computer. Because this printer did not have Windows 7 drivers either I am going to provide you the generic troubleshooting that worked for that Operating System in hopes that it will also work in Windows 8.
    Step 1: Install the driver:
Make sure that the USB cable is not connected to the product. If the USB cable is connected to the product, disconnect it.
Open your Start Screen either by selecting the Windows button on the bottom left hand corner of your Desktop or by selecting the Windows button on the bottom left of your keyboard, to the right of the Ctrl button
Once the Start screen opens type Devices and Printers
Click on Devices and Printer to open it
In the Devices and Printers folder click Add a printer. The Add Printer window opens
    Click Add a local printer
    Click Use an existing port.
Click the Use an existing port drop-down list, select LPT1: (Printer Port), and then click Next.
Under Manufacturer in the Install the printer driver window, click HP.
Under Printers, select the Deskjet 5550
Note: The alternate HP driver for your product might not be currently installed on your computer, but it is available through Windows Update. Click the Windows Update button to select additional print drivers. Select the alternate driver for your product, and then click Next. You must connect to the Internet before using Windows Update.
In the Printer name text box, type HP Photosmart 7350 then click Next. The print driver starts the installation process.
When the installation is complete, a message displays on the computer stating that the product was added successfully
In the message window, click Finished.
Connect the USB cable to the product, and connect the USB cable to the computer. A Device driver software was not successfully installed window opens.
Click Close () to close the window
In the Devices and Printers window, right-click the name of the product and then click Printer Properties. The Printer Properties window opens.
    Click the Ports tab.
Click the drop down menu, and then change the port from LPT1 to USB and click OK.
Close the Devices and Printers window
    Try to print!
Please let me know if the steps I've provided resolve your issue. Good luck!

  • Windows 10 and HP Photosmart 7350

Upgraded to Windows 10 today. My old HP Photosmart 7350 which was recognized by Windows 8.1 is not "seen" by Windows 10. I tried to substitute the HP Deskjet 5550, which was recommended for Windows 8.1, but to no avail. Is there a fix?

Hello , Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you have recently upgraded to Windows 10, and it is not seeing your HP Photosmart 7350 on the network. After researching the software and drivers, the last full feature software and drivers were for Windows XP. I see you have tried to install using an alternate print driver with no success: Installing the Printer With an Alternate Driver in Windows 7 for a USB Cable Connection I suggest contact our technical support at www.hp.com/contacthp/ to look at all compatible options for your Win 10 OS. • Windows 7 driver - HP photosmart d110?

Is there a Windows 7 driver for HP Photosmart d110? (wireless)
It doesn't seem to be on the list of supported printers, but not exactly on the list of unsupported printers either.
If it's unsupported, what alternative driver will at least provide some printing capability? Right now, it only churns out garbage.

There is no Windows 10 driver yet for the "HP Photosmart Premium C309g".  When will it come out? Can I use drivers that were made for windows 7? Is there a way to work around this?

I followed for a different printer instructions but the Photosmart 7200 driver only lists a manual duplexing option.
Is there another driver that will work for the HP 1115 that support auto duplex?
    Thanks
Use the Deskjet 970 or 990 driver as described above and enable the duplexer as described in my previous post.

  • Driver for HP photosmart 7350 on OS 10.5.5

Does Apple plan to create a patch for the HP Photosmart 7350 so it will run on OS 10.5.5?

It's up to HP to supply drivers for its printers. Apple just includes them with OS X. In the case of your printer the drivers are provided by Gutenprint. There's a Gutenprint update you can install to see if the new drivers have changed for your printer. Download it here. Otherwise, you will need to check HP's website for an update driver for your printer. A check of their website does not show any new driver for use with Leopard.
If you're willing to spend the money there is a product called PrintFab which supports your printer. Their drivers are likely to be superior to the one provided by Gutenprint.

  • Need windows 7 driver for photosmart 720 camera

I have an HPphotosmart 720 camera and I tried to download a windows 7 driver but it wasn't listed as a choice.  Does anyone know how I can make this upgrade?

    Hi,
You are talking abot a 12years old camera here. Why do you need driver ? It uses SD card, you can simply pull the card out and put it to a card reader on your computer to do whatever you want. Nowadays, all phones can take photos, thousands of very cheap cameras around.
Unless vendors want to close their business, I don't think they would spend money to support old products. FYI, I bought a Nikon D50 early 2006, it couldn't read cards over 2GB, I know a firmware will fix it but no news from Nikon. I bought a Nikon D90 early 2010 and today (yes few minutes ago) I've discovered it won't read cards over 32Gb.
    Regards.
ps I have to buy Nikon to be able to reuse may other accessories.

Is there a way to use a Photosmart 7350 Printer with Win 7?

Hi @Eagle82 , and welcome to the HP Forums.
I see you are looking into installation options.  Due to the age of the printer, there is no HP software available.
You can, however, use an alternate driver to regain your basic print functions.  I am linking a document below with instructions on setting an alternate driver:

  • Help! iMac will not recognize my Photosmart 7350 printer!

I have an HP Photosmart 7350 printer. I know this printer is supposed to be compatible with Mac, and I installed the optional thing from the DVD for HP printer drivers, but this one I guess wasn't on it. It is not in the list of HP printers when I try to set up the printer and go to the Printer Browser. I went to HP's website in search of a driver. For Windows XP, the 6MB driver works on Parallels. But for Mac OS X, there are files in the upwards of 100MB, none ~6MB. I found a file for hp photosmart install which I was able to extract using StuffIt Expander, but at the step in the installation where I am supposed to click "Utilities", it just closes instead of opening the list of printers. In the add new printer "printer browser," my printer shows up in the list as "photosmart 7350", but in the "Print using" drop down menu, this hp is still not on the list.

I was looking here to post my problem with the 7350 and lo and behold, someone else has the same problem. I have gone through a significant amount more trouble shooting than the original poster with no positive results. The printer worked fine until I upgraded from OS 10.3 to 10.4. Since then I have been unable to print at all. I tried to install the driver via the disk. I tried to download the updated drivers from the website. I have spoken with HP tech support ad nauseum about the issue without any luck. I downloaded the latest GIMP-print version, the driver was not in there. I downloaded GhostPrint and Foomatic, the driver finally appeared in a list as an available selection, but the printer came up with GenericClass:waiting for device. I have used the HP util to install. I have installed via the Printer Browser (printer is connected via USB, direct, no hub). I have gone into the advanced feature of the Printer Setup Utility and add the printer this way with the same results. The printer works on the PC machine that sits on the adjacent desk. I am at wits end! I am this close from going "Office Space" on this machine and buying something else!
Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

  • HP Photosmart 7350 Printing Issue

I have the hp photosmart 7350 and now when I want to print something using 8.5 x 11 paper, the image or document is cut off on all sides, mostly on the bottom (vertical) or right side (horizontal)  I checked and the section where it shows the margins (page setup) is greyed out so I cant change the settings.  I tried the troubleshooting ( deskjet 990c driver, 7350 driver, and some other steps) nothing works.  Can anyone help me with this, or do I need a new printer ?

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve black not printing on your Photosmart 6525 printer.  If the steps there do not resolve the issue I would suggest you call HP Support as described in the post here, even if the printer is out of warranty.

  • Photosmart 7350

HP Photosmart 7350 will not print color with my new MAC OSX 10.9.4. Tried loading printer driver but get the message that Power PC applications no longer supported. Does this mean I need to get a new printer to work with my MAC.

    Hi @catwoman58,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that your HP Photosmart 7350, will not print in color on your Mac OS X 10.9.4. I am happy to help you with your printing issue!
According to the drivers website, found at this website, HP Photosmart 7350 Printer Drivers. There are only drivers available up to Mac OS X 10.4.
I would recommend upgrading the printer to one that has drivers available for Mac OS X 10.9.4. Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region. Country-language selector.
