Photosmart 7510 aio - Colors are wrong after changing Magenta Cartridge

Hi,
I have an isue where my 7510 aio printer wont print Yellow and coloer scheme seems all messed up after changing the Magenta Cartridge yesterday.
All other cartridiges was not changed but for some reason the color cheme of the printer is messed up. I tried another Magenta Cartridge but it still seem strange.
When I print out a status report the
  - Foto-Color is more brown than black.
  - The Magenta looks ok (Very pink)
  - Cyan is blue / purple looking
  - Yellow is Orange
  - Black is ok black.
I tried running a clean and adjust but non of that works.
I tried taking out all cartrigdes and re-inserting them and that wont work either.
Anybody has an idea of what could be wrong and how I can correct it?
Thanks
Jakob

Hello NikDk, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you're having print quality issues.  I would like to help with that!
First thing I would suggest, would be a power reset.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
Second, I would recommend utilizing this document on Fixing Ink Streaks, Faded Prints, and Other Common Print Quality Problems.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • HP Photosmart 7200 Colors are Wrong When Printing on Photo Paper

    I'm running Windows 7 and am having a problem when printing on photo paper.  The colors are off; mainly green.  The colors are fine when printing on plain paper.  I have tried printing from my computer as well as straight from the media card.  Same result.  I am also using HP Photo Premium glossy paper.  Print cartridges are brand new and are loaded correctly.
    Any solutions or troubleshooting tips I can try?

    Hi @Vay725,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
    I understand that the colors are wrong when printing on photo paper! I am happy to help you with this print quality issue!
    For further assistance, I will need to know some more information:
    The Product/Model Number of your printer. Follow instructions in this link. Finding Your HP Product Model Number.
    If you are using a Windows or Mac Operating System, and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
    If the printer is connected, Wireless, or USB.
    If the printer is able to make copies.
    If the power cable is plugged into a surge protector, or directly to the wall outlet. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
    If you are using Genuine HP Ink cartridges.
    Thank you for posting, and have a nice day!

    My iPad 2 colors are wrong. Has anyone had this problem?

    Could you provide some more details please.  Where are the colors wrong?  i.e. What application?
    As a first pass to fix you could try a reset.  Press and hold the Home and On/Off buttons simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  This may take up to around 10 seconds and is the equivalent of a PC re-boot.  You will not lose any data.

  • Will the penfailure be solved after changing the cartridges? Installing printer again did not help.

    Hp Print Diagnnostic Utility detected 'Pen Failure' I tried reinstalling printer driver again, checked cartridges installation for correctness, cleaned contact points but they did not help. Will the penfailure be solved after changing the cartridges? Installing printer again did not help.

    Yes, I did try it.
    I completely uninstalled Firefox (including personal settings, bookmarks, add-ons etc.) and then I installed Firefox 24 from scratch. The outcome is unchanged. Namely, it installs it and then right when it is about to start for the very first time, it hangs. If I run the task manager I can see the process firefox32. It shows as if it is running. But in fact it is hanging doing nothing. It is almost as if the process is waiting for something to happen and that never occurs. Note that this should not have anything to do with, say, an incompatible add-on/plug in because I had them all removed. I also removed adobe flash prior to the installation and run the malware removal program too.

  • Recurring meetings shifted wrongly after change of one occurrence

    Hello everybody,
    I observe an issue with instances of recurring meetings being wrongly shifted in time after changing date of one of the instances in the respective series (repeatedly and for different meetings/meeting series). It looks as if my current "distance" to UTC (including DST adjustment) is "re-applied" to the meeting instance (i.e. the meeting is shifted 2 hours forward compared to the original time; my timezone is GMT+1 and together with the current DST shift it equals to those 2 hours).
    I use Q10 (SQN100-3, SW 10.1.0.1666) together with the BB Enterprise Server (BES) connected to MS Exchange plus MS Outlook 2007 on the desktop.
    I haven't managed to discover all the dependencies and reproduce it reliably but the pattern is as follows:
    - I have a recurring meeting (typically for half a year).
    - I open one of the meeting instances in MS Outlook and change its date (e.g. move it by one week but without changing the starting and end time). An updated meeting invitation is sent to other meeting participants (I can see that it is correct in my "Sent" folder in MS Outlook and it also appears correctly in the MS Outlook calendar).
    - Other meeting participants respond to my update request (I suspect that the problem is related to processing of these responses, but I cannot prove this suspicion).
    - Later on I check my calendar (either on Q10 or MS Outlook) and realize that the meeting is wrongly shifted by 2 hours (or I don't realize it early enough and others start planning other meetings during the original timeslot since it appears free in my schedule on MS Exchange :-((( ). When checking the Sent folder in MS Outlook, there is no message about any further update of the meeting (which means that I couldn't have shifted the meeting by mistake myself, because MS Outlook 2007 simply doesn't allow you to save a meeting with changed times without sending an update request to other attendees); obviously, all the other participants still have the meeting scheduled with the right (original) time in their calendars.
    I should add that this clearly started happening after I changed my BlackBerry device to the new BB10 version - nothing similar ever happened to me with the older BB devices (and corresponding BES version).
    Anyone observing something similar? Is posting this information here sufficient for having someone from the developers having a look at this issue, or is there some other way how to pass it to the right people?
    Thanks
    Tomas

    Hi again,
    I have further analyzed the issue in order to find out dependencies on why it is shifted sometimes and sometimes not:
    First of all, I can confirm that the shift is immediately triggered by opening certain invitation responses on my BlackBerry Q10 (while opening some other invitation responses does not trigger the issue). In other words - if I check the event on BlackBerry calendar just before opening the particular response from BlackBerry Hub and right after opening it, I can observe that it moved in the meantime.
    Apart from the (so far confirmed) fact that it apparently happens only for irregular appointment instances from appointment series (as already indicated in my original submission), I have noticed that even different responses do or do not trigger the issue. In particular, I have noticed that responses from certain e-mail/calendar clients include information about the event with _wrong_ timezone information (as an example, a response from certain Windows Phone client ("PRODID=Microsoft Windows Phone") refers to "TZID=W. Europe Standard Time") and this response does _not_ trigger the issue, whereas a response coming from MS Outlook ("PRODID=Microsoft Exchange Server 2007") and correct timezone information (TZID="(GMT+01:00) Belgrade, Bratislava, Budapest, Ljubljana, Prague") _does_ trigger the issue. Obviously, the main issue is that invitation response should naturally _never_ trigger any update of the original event...
    Hoping that this helps anyone to address the issue soon...

  • Colors are inverted after picture rotation

    Hello,
    I found many examples of picture rotation. But each time I'm doing it myself, the output picture's color are inverted. I'm using a white and black document and the output has white text and black background.
        PlanarImage pi = JAI.create("fileload", image.getName());
        TransposeType rotOp = null;
        ParameterBlock pb = new ParameterBlock();
        rotOp = TransposeDescriptor.ROTATE_90;
        pb.addSource(pi);
        pb.add(rotOp);
        PlanarImage rotatedImage = JAI.create("transpose", pb);
            SampleModel sampleModel = rotatedImage.getSampleModel();
        ColorModel colorModel = PlanarImage.createColorModel(sampleModel);
        Raster raster = rotatedImage.getData();
        TiledImage tiledImage = new TiledImage(0,0,rotatedImage.getWidth(),rotatedImage.getHeight(),0,0,sampleModel,colorModel);
        tiledImage.setData(raster);
            JAI.create("filestore",tiledImage,"new_" + image.getName(),"TIFF");What's wrong with my code ? And is it possible to reduce the size of the output picture ?
    Thank you

    Ok, I found it, I just had to use directly my rotatedPicture in the create methode.

  • Colors are wrong

    I just got the new Mac Mini, and hooking it up to either my TV with a DVI-HDMI adapter, or my samsung 220 monitor, the colors are ok, but specifically the blues look purple. I have tried all the profiles in the color system preference to no avail. I have also calibrated in the color system preference, and adjusted all the monitor settings, but cannot get the color temperature right.

    You can take a bitmap capture and see what the pixel values are.

  • Colors off after changing toner cartridges

    I just replaced two toner cartridges, M and Y using a third party brand bought from Amazon.  The cartridges received high reviews, but now, when printing, my colors are way off.  The printer prints but does note that I am not using genuine HP toner. Is this a "feature" of HP printers to make you buy their cartridges?  Is it the result of having two (K and C) cartridges that are HP-branded mixed with the others?  Something else? I did print a test page, and it looked just fine.  I am printing something (a logo) which I have printed hundreds of times from the same Mac to the same printer with the same software. I don't see any way to calibrate the printer?

    Do a google search for the troubleshooting service manual for your printer.  Then look for instructions for entering the secondary service manual where you will find the option to calbirate the color.  This may help or may not depending on the condtion of the toners you purchased.

  • Hp color laserjet cp5225n and the magenta cartridge

    The HP Color laserjet CP5225dn was purchased in May of 2011 serial number is CNBCC2H2FW model CE712A.  The magenta cartridge still has 90% of life left only 1375 pages have been printed and when you print something in color you get a pink line at the bottom of the page, the line goes halfway across the page.  Please advise on how we can get this cartridge replaced at no charge.

    This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!

  • Color is off after changing cartridges

    I have a HP PSC 1400v All-in-one printer. It came with my lap top. It has always printed picture perfect pictures....until I changed both the inks this time.  Now the color is off.  The color on the picture is horrible and the ink color for printing on paper well.. ex... gold is lavender. What can I do??  I thought if I took out the cartridges it would let me start over. Didn't happen. I hope someone can help me cause I would hate to have to junk this little copier.

    Keep after HP because the cartridges are likely defective.  I am in the process of persistent dealings with their tech support because as soon as I changed all three HP ink cartridges in my Photosmart 8450 printer, the colors started printing incorrectly and pictures are all messy.  This has happened to me before when replacing the cartridges, always with HP brand new cartridges.  In the past I have ended up just buying new cartridges and that solved the problem immediately.  This time due to the very high cost of HP ink cartridges I am not going to take the loss myself and will continue with the issue until they replace the cartridges.  They won't make it easy.  Just now I had to print a test page and they want a copy of it.  I had to scan it as a pdf and attach it to an email back to them.  Last night I spent a great deal of time finding the serial numbers, lot numbers and warranty expiration dates on each cartridge.  This meant removing them and spending a good deal of time trying to read the numbers accurately because they are printed so small and so light on each cartridge that they are barely visible.  Pesevere with them and you should get the issue resolved.

  • Bridge color & Photoshop color is wrong after calibration

    Hi guys...
    I just can't figure this out...
    Here is what happen...
    I am using iMac and CS3. I have been using Eye1Display2  to calibrate the iMac.
    I have been doing that for a few years and there is no problem at all until about recently (2 weeks now). After I have calibrated the iMac, the color in Bridge and Photoshop is very wrong... all looks green after calibration (only on Adobe software and everything else looks ok). I try re-calibrate again for 5 times and restart the mac before I redo it and the result still the same.
    So any idea?
    Bad profile? spoilt calibrator?
    Regards,
    Hart

    * At the time this release note was written, the issue was not fully understood. As it happens, the issue with version 4 profiles was caused by a bug in ColorSync in the initial release of Snow Leopard. Apple responded quickly to the issue which was addressed in the OSX 10.6.2 update. i1Match does indeed build good version 4 ICC profiles on OSX 10.6.2 and 10.6.3, with preferences set to LUT (large) or matrix (small).
    The issue was not an X Rite issue.  If the system was making good profiles before and then stopped, it could be a series of bad profiles or something as simple as a bad USB cable.The sensor could be toast in the puck. At any rate, OP should be able to find an old profile and make it current. That might tell them whether or not it's a hardware issue or a software glitch. I have the i1 pro, which has a diagnostic program. i1 display does too?
    Or could it be something as simple as VIEW has switched Softproof?  What were you doing in Bridge or PS that you might have changed a setting?

  • Textfield color is wrong after using cacheAsBitmap

    hi,
    I'm having issues with colorTransform and cacheAsBitmap.
    I'm changing a textfiield color at runtime from black to white and after that I'm caching the movieclip as a bitmap.
    The problem is that the welcome.text color is displayed in black instead of white after using cacheAsBitmap!
    How to fix that?
    Here is my code:
    var newColor:ColorTransform = headline.welcome.transform.colorTransform;
    newColor.color = 0xffffff;
    headline.welcome.transform.colorTransform = newColor;
    headline.cacheAsBitmap = true;
    Thanks

  • My screen is messed up.  All the colors are wrong.  Blue is yellow, red is teal, and so on.  No clue what happened or how to fix it.  All my apps are this way and the wallpaper picture is totally messed up.

    My grandson was playing around with my mouse and changed the display on everything.  Things that are usually blue are now gold, red is now teal, etc.  I can't figure out what he did or how to correct it.  I went to system preferneces but nothing is seeming to work.  Any clue what to do?

  • White Color are grey after rendering !

    Hello ! first post on this forum !
    I'm working on a composition whith white background ... but after rendering in format such as WMV, and playing this video on different players, the white background look soft grey ! any idea about this problem ?

    - broadcast safe colors
    - general Gamma adjustments done by your player
    - general Gamma adjustments due to color profile (mismatch)
    - limitations in the chosen CoDec/ compression
    Pick whichever is most likely. For most MPEG derivatives and WMV a color space compression is normal and unfortunately you cannot override these behaviors from within AE in most cases. You will have to use other tools. It is however absolutely possible to improve color perception by adjusting the colors before the compression. I recommend you check out The Meyers' tutorials on broadcast safe treatment or Aharon Rabinowitz podcast on creativeCOW to learn how expanding and compressing color ranges can improve perception and technical quality.

  • Attachments are wrong after sending in Mail

    Hi,
    I used Apple Mail yesterday to send a message via Gmail. I attached two images that are about 1.5 MB each, thinking that I'd be able to pull them today from my Sent Mail to print, but they're showing up as 105 KB files, and not as attachments - they're just embedded in the body of the email. When I composed the email I clicked "attach" and went through the finder, I didn't just copy and paste.
    What did I do wrong, and more importantly, is there a way I can get these files today? I sent the email to a Google Group address if that makes a difference.
    Thanks!
    Mardie

    You can just Secure Empty Trash and that will delete them without an error.
