Photosmart 7520: Scan to Email

Hi, 
I have created my email adr on the printer, and veryfied my mail adr. with the PIN code, that was send to me from HP
But when I start the process by cliking (on the printer), "Scan" --> "Scan to Email" --> Select my Email Account --> Select type of scan (Document) : The printer telles me that it can not connect to the WEBService ???
The printer is connected by WiFi and have good acess, and it's no problem to scan/print from PC or MAC - What to do ???

    I have read through all of the answers that I can find as to how to fix the scan to email function on my printer.  The printer is only a couple of months old.  I am using a Mac.  I need this to work.  The problem is that while I always receive the emails, they don't always have the scan attached to them.  Sometimes, but not always.
    When I scan one page, it works.  When I scan 10 pages, it works about half the time.  When I scan 25 pages, as I sometimes do, it doesnt' work.
    HP, please fix this !  It worked just fine a couple of weeks ago!

    Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I see that your scan to email feature of your Photosmart 7520 seems to be inconsistent when attaching the scanned documents to the email.
    Please start by assigning a manual IP address and manual DNS servers to your printer.  If you are unsure how to do this please click here.  It will take you to another post I’ve done that has the steps with screen shots.  Don’t fret that the screen shots are for a Photosmart  7510 printer, the steps are the same.
    If you have already set the manual IP address and manual DNS servers, then please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.

  • Photosmart 7520 scan to email problem. Unable to connect to web services

    I have a Photosmart 7520 working perfectly and suddenly since a week ago when I try to scan to email problem I get the error Unable to connect to web services
    I followed all the forum instructions. Removed power for over a minute from the router and printer and connected the router first.
    I checked that the apps in the printer main screen work ok,
    I followed the suggested steps below
    1. Obtain your printer's IP address
    a. This can be done by pressing the wireless icon on printer.
    2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.
    3. Select the network tab at the top of the page.
    4. On the left select networking.
    5. Select Network Address (IP)
    6. Select Manual DNS Server
    a. Manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8
    b. Alternate DNS Server should read. 8.8.4.4
    7. Select apply you might get a warning just select okay.
    And nothing works.
    Any help please??

  • Photosmart 7520 Scan software access disappeared when Windows 10 was installed.

    Under Win 8.1 I would click in the printer desktop icon to select the connect  7520 printer. Three optins would be displayed and I would selec the middle one for scanning.  Now that icon wants to setup the printer for WiFi  usage, install printer to a USB port or come back later - no scan options. What do I needed to do?

  • Photosmart 7520 entered incorrect email address on HP scan to email.

    Can't delete incorrect email because it wants my pin.  Keeps sending my pin to the incorrect email that I entered.  How can I delete this?

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
    I see that you can not find a way to remove an Email from the Scan to Email App. Have you tried to delete the App and re-install it?
    To do this, log into HPConnected.com. Click Services and then make sure the printer is selected. Click Settings and then Remove this Printable. Using the Search box, type Scan to Email and install the App again.

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I see that you are unable to use the scan to email feature of your Photosmart 6520 printer.
    For the scanning to your iMac and why you aren’t seeing the document, would you please let me know what version of Mac OS X that you are using (whatsmyos.com)?
    For scan to email to work you need to have enabled the web services on your printer and claimed your printer in a HP Connected or HP ePrintCenter account.  Are you being prompted for your password or the 4-digit pin code that is sent to your personal email to activate the scan the scan to email feature?
    I’m curious as to why you would like to uninstall and then reinstall the scan to email feature? The scan to email feature on this printer cannot be uninstalled and reinstalled.  If you have accidentally entered an incorrect email address, please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.

  • Photosmart 7520 Scanning Window To Small!

    Why is there no Scan widow size option with the Photosmart 7520 series?
    It's about 1/3 the size of my older C6100 series software.
    You can not crop detail very easy with this?
    Totally unacceptableand I hope i don't have to return it for this reason.

    Well, the SW isn't broken it just changed. The customer is using two different generations of SW, one from '06 and one from '12. And, yes, the new version uses a smaller scanning window. The new SW will not get an update.
    I'll share the feedback with the developement team. And, you could always have the customer try some 3rd party scan applications that may have a larger scanning window. 
    Sorry I didn't have a better answer.

  • Hp photosmart 5520 scan to email error message

    I can send from my laptop to the printer and it prints no problem
    When I try to scan from my printer to my email I get Error Message 901 cannot connect to server.
    It has worked fine until today.

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I understand that each of you is getting an error message when trying to use the scan to email feature of your Photosmart 5520 printer.
    There are several steps I would like you to try please.
    Please turn off your printer. 
    Please turn off your router.  If your router doesn’t have an on/off switch, please unplug the power cord from the router.
    After waiting a full 60 seconds please turn on your router (or plug it back in). 
    After the router has completed its startup routine please turn on your printer.
    After the printer has completed its startup routine, please test the scan to email feature.  If it works there no need to continue with any further trouble shooting steps.
    Please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer. I have included a link to another post with the steps, including screen shots on how to do this.   Don’t worry that the screen shots show a Photosmart 7510 printer, the steps are the same.
    Please test the scan to email feature.  If it works there no need to continue with any further trouble shooting steps.

  • Photosmart 7510 Scan to eMail does not send the eMail

    I can scan a document to a file, go to my email, attach the scanned document and send it with no problem. However, when I use the Document to Email feature, an email window opens up on my desktop with my send from email address properly included and the scanned document attached as I would expect. I insert the name of the recipient and click on SEND, but the message never gets sent. I am stumped.  What do I need to do?

    I understand that you are having issues scanning to email from the software. I can help you with this.
    I have provided a document for scanning to email. There is a section about using a Local email client and a Web-based email client. How to Scan: Windows 7.
    What email client are you using? (Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo Mail)
    What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
    How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)

    If your printer is unable to connect to web services. First unplug router and printer for about 1 minute. then plug router up first then printer. Then try to enable web services. If not successful and you still get same error message.
    Follow below steps and check you are able to perform scan to email:

    How can I email a picture or document I scanned to a gmail message?

    Usually attaching to an email from external sources like that requires that you use a mail client (an email program that gets your mail like Outlook or Apple's Mail).  If you get your mail via a website it will not work.
    There are a lot of advantages in using an email client.  Are you interested?

    If you get "unable to connect to web services" error message while performing scan to email option, first unplug router and printer for about 1 minute. Plug router up first then printer and then try to enable web services.
    The web services feature will be available in one of the below options:
    1.The Setup ->Wireless ->Web Services menu option
    Or
    2.The Setup ->Web option, or via the ePrint/Web Services icon on the printer front panel display.
    If you still get the same error message again then follow below steps and perform scan option:

  • HP Photosmart 7520 - Cannot Scan to email, says I have no connection

    Hello, 
    I am having problems with the scan to email option. The printer is connected to internet and all the apps work on the printer screen. I've tried shutting it off (both wifi and printer) and turning it on again. I also tried changing the DNS Address Configuration, but nothing works. This is the only problem I am having because I can print wirelessly from my Mac and I can even scan to my Mac. I've had this printer for a year and I've used the scan to email option many times and this is the first time its failed me. Please let me know what else I can do.
