Photosmart 7525 will not print in color, except from the printer.

This printer refuses to print in color from my computer. Since I bought it to print photos, this is distressing. I followed all suggestions posted for this problem. (I had tried them all before.) It WILL print a copy in color from the printer itself. That is the only way. I use Adobe Photoshop and it won't print in color from there, Word, or the internet. Checked printer preferences; grayscale not on. Printer full of ink. Paper and quality OK. Please instruct me on how to print color photos from a color printer!

Hey , Welcome to the HP Support Forum. I understand you're unable to print in colour via PC with your HP Photosmart 7525 e-All-in-One Printer. I'd like to work with you on this. I have some suggestions that might restore this functionality for you. From what you're reporting, with the printer printing in colour from standalone it sounds like the main issue is software related. Accordingly, I recommend you try the following steps: Clear Temp Files: Press Windows Key + RIn the Run dialogue box type %temp% and select OKIn the Temp folder select all items and delete them. The Temp folder contains temporary internet files. No actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting the Temp files. On Windows Vista, 7 and 8 if a Temp file is still be used you can simply 'skip' the used item and everything else will delete successfully. Once the Temp files are deleted close the Temp folderRight click on the Recycling Bin on your desktop and select Empty Recycling BinNext, I recommend running Microsoft Fix it (it's designed for Windows 7 but I have found that it works with 8 and 8.1). Click here to install. I've had a lot of luck detecting and automatically solving common printer software setup issues with this utility. If Fix it doesn't find a fix, or it prompts to uninstall the printer driver click here to reinstall your printer. Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post. I'm assuming that on the Mac, the System Preferences -> Sharing -> Printer Sharing -> [X] HP printer -> Everyone can print is selected? That is to say, the Mac will allow anyone to print using the printer, and that you did not try to restrict who can print.
How is your network configured? Bonjour as a protocol will NOT cross a router boundary. If you have 2 or more subnets active with the PCs on one subnet and the Mac on another, that would block the PCs from seeing the Mac.
You could have multiple subnets if you have more than one router, such as an ISP provided broadband modem/router and another WiFi Router. If the PCs are talking to one router and the Mac is talking to another, that could be a 2 subnet situation. The additional routers must be put into bridge mode, which is done differently depending on the router. But the basics are to diable DHCP and NAT services on the secondary router(s) having just one active router on the network.
Also, using Bonjour Browser on my Mac, it is showing me that the printer is being advertised as using Internet Printing Protocol, so if that is something selectable on Windows, maybe you can bypass Bonjour on Windows.

This happens to several of my podcasts whenever an updated iOS comes out. You can delete the episode directly from the phone by swiping it from left to right. That seems to fix the issue (they drop off the phone and dont reappear on iTunes). It's as if iTunes stops tracking the play count for some shows.

The recent releases of iTunes have brought a bunch of bugs into the printing of CD covers.
Some people report that directing the iTunes print output to PDF, and then printing to paper from the PDF, solved their problem. Others have reported that it did not help. Worth a try.

Photosmart C4180 does not pick up 10x15 photopaper from the photo paper cassette

I am sorry to read about the issue you are having with your new Photosmart 6520 not picking up 4x6 paper. I understand you have cleaned the rollers and that did not resolve the problem. I have researched this and have found a couple of documents that I recommend you look at to ensure all of the print settings are correct when printing on a 4x6 or any other size you wish to print on.
I am unsure if you have a Windows or a Mac computer, therefore I will post 2 different links for you to look at depending on which operating system you have.

There are a million ppl having this problem right now and it seems like Apple is ignoring it. It's been real bad since May, even worse that last week or so. Basically all we can do is sit and wait to see what excuse or help, if any, will be given. I've used a Walmart pre-paid card and I'm sorry, but who really incorrectly types a 3 digit number a million times?! Also my account is saying I owe iTunes $40 for in-app purchases. Bull!! My card sends me a balance twice a day via text and because of this, I know what, where, and how my money is being spent. Also it's pre-paid, how can you have an over draft?!?! Here's a real kicker though...my card balance is in the positive!!! Hmmm, obviously not a fault on my part, the part of my card, nor my iPod. It's all in the system!!!

I use Windows XP. The problem now is that on two consecutive occasions when I open iTunes it either says the library is corrupt and creates a new one or will not load a previous one from the file. All my meta data and 2K songs are "missing".

Can I recreate my proper library with its 8700+ songs and a load of meta data from the iPod. Since two upgrades ago iTunes, for me, has become very unreliable.

I did not have the guest user account available and then after I changed some of my setting for my mail, I noticed that when I logged back in the guest user icon was present. I do not want to have this guest user account on my log in screen. I tried to delete it from my system preferences but all it does is disable the guest user but the icon still appears. I need some help!

Open System Preferences
Click on “Security & Privacy”
Click the lock in the lower corner and type in your administrative password to unlock the control panel
Check the box next to “Disable restarting to Safari when screen is locked”
This prevents the Guest User account from being visible at the login screen both during reboot and at the login screen. Again, it’s highly recommended to keep this enabled for security purposes, but if your Mac is locked down with a security cable or you don’t have any use for Find My Mac, you could disable this and not feel too bad about it.

My iPhone will not download more than 50mb from the app store.

I have fast iPhone LTE unlimited service from my provider. If my download is larger than 50MB I have to switch to wifi. At work my wifi connection is 2.5MB and my LTE service is 20MB. How do I stay at the fast speed for the download? Was this an oversite on apple's side?

I read about how you cannot print or copy in color. Not copying in color is concerning, as the copy is a stand alone function that does not involve the computer in any way.
I'd suggest power resetting the printer:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
You can also remove the ink cartridges and reinsert them and try a color copy again to see if that helps.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you, such as a replacement or trade in. HP Photosmart 5510 will not print Black Ink!! - Time to "break-up" with HP

I came upon this forum by doing a google search for the issue I'm having which is my HP Photosmart 5510 will not print black ink. The printer is a year and a half old and is used only for home office use (not a heck of a lot of printing being done)
It started right after I installed new ink cartridges (all four of them) I want to mention hear that I ONLY buy genuine HP ink cartridges from Staples and when I replace my cartriges I replace all four at the same time even if one ink level is not considered "replaceably" low. When the issue started I thought I must have gotten a bad black cartridge so I went out and bought another one but was still having the issue. So that's when I did my google search.

After trying all of these my color ink is less than half full....remember....I started with 4 brand new ink cartridges...so now, I'm out roughly $85 in ink just trying to resolve a problem that should not have happened in the first place!! Shame on HP for makeing such poor quality products. I gave up on HP computers years ago and now I'm giving up on their printers!! This HP Photosmart 5510 All In One printer replaced an HP Color Laserjet CM1312nfi printer (which cost approximately $400) that only lasted about 3 years. Sorry HP but that's it....I'm moving on! Consider this our "break-up" letter.

Hi TisKate, sorry to hear that you are having printing issues when it comes to printing in Black. I am also sorry to hear that you are breaking up with HP. I would like to offer a couple more troubleshooting steps before we say our fond farewells. Now this might sound silly but really it isn't. If you have the power cable connected to a Power bar/strip, please remove it and connect the power cable directly to a wall outlet. HP printers already have a built in surge protector and if you have it in a strip/bar, the printer will not get all the power needed to function properly. This can cause printing issues or false error messages on the printer display screen. Here is a document that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
The other step I would like to take is on the printers display touch screen. Please use the right arrow key and go to the Wrench icon. Press the wrench and go to the Tools menu. Once in the Tools menu, please select Clean Printhead. Use the cleaning utility 2-3 times or until you see a change in the print status reports. It might take a few cycles but I am confident that it will make a difference.
