Photosmart 8450 prints three pages on computer start-up

My Photosmart 8450 prints three pages each time the computer is started up. There is only a header on the pages, each of the headers begins with USBC then some additional letters and characters. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and have tried to restart the computer numerous times. Is there anything else I should try?

Hi,
While printing html through content editor web part. It prints blank pages before content starts.
I have images in my html document.
When I set the width of img to 400 px it works fine..
but if I say width:100% it prints so many blank pages extra before content starts.
Anybody has any idea?

Hi,
In HTML 4.01, the width could be defined in pixels or in % of the containing element. In HTML5, the value must be in pixels. Please check whether the image in a html5 page.

Why does my HP Photosmart 7520 print blank pages?

Sorry to ask an obvious question - but are you putting the paper in the right way? I have a 7520, and as long as there is ink in it, and the paper is facing the correct way, and I hear the print job go to the printer, it prints fine.
Are you hearing the pringing attempting to print?

I am unable to get my HP Photosmart 8450 printer to work wirelessly with Airport Express. Does anyone have any suggestions or is this just impossible with this model printer? Many thanks

So there are conflicting reports. Has anyone had success with an Airport Express or Extreme with the C3180 connected directly to it and the newest HP drivers?
I'd really like to know before I go out and buy a new router to then have to deal with the hassle of it not working - and having to buy a new printer would really suck!

Photosmart 8450 prints are distorted

My Photosmart 8450 has started distorting the image on the photos and the cradle keeps jamming. Also, the edges of the photos are wavy. Has anyone else experienced these problems? If so, are they repairable?

I got things to print propely when using a memory card (!) I must be 'old fashioned' for trying to print from desktop via cable.
I went from:

Where every image printed too dark, despite modiftying the printer properties from hp solution center (paper type, color management, max dpi,, etc.). Always printed too dark. The middle image, which printer properly, was a test print made during the end of installing the printer software.
I then transferred some images to a 1GB sd memory card. Images printed via memory card look good. Apparently that's why printer does not include a USB cable - you're intended to print from memory card. Windows XP interface to printer buggy. Also, .png and .bmp (lossless) file formats not recogized by printer - only jpg ??

Compatibility of using Photosmart 7510 printer with a Photosmart 7525 printer from the same computer

Before installing, registering, and setting up my new HP Photosmart 7525 I need to know whether I can keep using my 2 year old HP Photosmart 7510 and its software on my computer and whether this would cause a conflict. My 2 year old Photosmart 7510 works fine and I want to use the Photosmart 7510 and the Photosmart 7525 both from the same computer and network without conflict. And if a conflict would be probable, is it necessary to remove the Photosmart 7510 software before installing the software/drivers for the Photosmart 7525?

You can install more than 1 printer to your computer. They will share few folders including HP Photo Creations product but they should live harmony together.

Photosmart C4580 - printing multiple pages in error

Hi - I have the above printer, and it is printing multiple pages instead of the number requested. I have to physically stop the printing after the required number of pages, otherwise it will continue to print more of the same pages. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled the printer, and all other aspects are working fine. It is linked wirelessly to the computer and that is fine. Any help you may have would be appreciated. Using the printing API, you have a Graphics object to do your printing on.
So just set a clip window to your current 1/4 of the screen, draw page, translate to the next 1/4, set clip, draw page, etc.?

Photosmart C7280 prints blank pages

My C7280 started printing blank pages between pages. I use this printer as wireless. Sometimes it won't print until I go to add printer again. After this last episode it started printing blank pages. I downloaded the file listed in post below for 7260 but it didn't resolve the issue. I went on their troubleshooting page and did as it suggests with the separator page. That didn't fix it either. Any other suggestions? Thanks ahead of time for any help.

C8180 Prints three pages !

I have a C8180 All-in-on printer set up on a network attached is two laptops running Vista 32. When you request a single page to be printed the printer prints three all the same except the last sheet only prints half. I have checked the printer settings on the lap top and they are set to print 1. This is a terrible waste of ink and paper, printing unrequested duplications! Any suggestions/idea's would be appreciated.

T500 and HP Photosmart 7350 - prints blank pages

I've done a search but can't seem to find anything. When I try to print it goes through the motions but pops out a blank page. I've uninstalled and reinstalled with the latest driver from HP. It prints a test page OK directly using the printer's buttons and through the HP software. It won't print when I reinstall and click the "Print Test Page" button. It also prints a test page when it recalibrates the cartrideges. I've tried different cables and connecting to different USB ports; makes no difference. Anyone have this problem?

Photosmart C4780 - Prints extra page even after HP driver update installed

With Mavericks (OS X 10.9.4) installed, I have noticed that completed print jobs remain in the print queue for my HP Photosmart C4780 when printing from Safari and Preview. If I want to print another (different page), I usually have to delete the previous (100% complete) job from the queue so that the printer will print (I seem to recall that sometimes, with a Google Chrome browser, this is not necessary). If I close my MacBook Pro's lid (which puts it to sleep) with a completed print job remaining in the HP queue, it will then print again for a second time.
Today, I installed the driver update below, but the problem did not go away when I tried to print from Safari and Preview.

Any ideas of how to solve my problem?

Sure - restart your router, your printer and your Mac. It should print faster (especially with a router restart).

Photosmart D7560 prints alignment page too often.

The D7560 is installed on my iMac. I bought the printer 2 years ago and it's been very frustrating. It runs out of black ink after a dozen pages or less. And it keeps wanting to do an alignment. That could be how my cartridge is getting wasted. Does anyone know how I can get it to perform a self cleaning without an alignment?
HP sent me a new Printhead and a set of cartridges and it worked for a short time. Now it's out of warranty and I really never got much use out of it. One thing I've learned is that I can print a boarding pass at the airport instead of home.

The C3150 has a sensor and it is not necessary to scan the alignment page for this model. Make sure you are using fresh white paper for the alignment Page 16 of the manual says:
Note If you have colored paper loaded in the input tray when you align the print cartridges, the alignment will fail. Load unused plain white paperinto the input tray, and then try the alignment again. If the alignment fails again, you might have a defective sensor or print cartridge. Contact HP Support. Go to www.hp.com/support. If prompted, choose your country/region, and then click Contact HP for information on calling for technical support.
Before calling HP support I would try cleaning the sensor with a damp Q-tip. The sensor is a small black plastic item mounted on the lower right side of the carriage, toward the back and just to the right of the right cartridge. The part to clean would be the area underneath the sensor.

Photosmart 7660 printing blank page when using Microsoft word 2007

I have a Hp photsmart 7660.It will print a Test page ok-it will print some of the text in an email.That is the heading and the end, but not the message in the middle of the email. When I write a document in Microsoft Word or Works the printer will go through the motions of printing but all I get is a blank page.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled using original disk and also tried the same using Hp software download all to no avail.
The utility diagnostic says there is no problem everything is working well,but of course it is not. Can anyone help me to resolve this problem please.

It works for me in Word 2010 (or later) using Save As PDF. It did not work in Word 2007 using the Adobe Acrobat PDF printer nor using Word 2007's save as pdf utility. (The hyperlink showed up but was not active.) It did work using the Acrobat tab in Word
2007 (this requires Adobe Acrobat).
I did this by:
first creating the text box with the hyperlink in the body of the document and moving it into the footer area (but still not in the footer itself).
Then I used the Format tab of Text Box Tools and the Postion button (More Layout Options).
I gave it an absolute vertical position relative to the page.
Then I cut the text box, went into the footer, and pasted it there.
It might have worked to just create the text box in the footer itself.
I personally prefer it that the header and footer are not part of the active page when I am typing. This hyperlink is not clickable in Word without going into the header/footer view and I'm fine with that. The QAT workaround is just fine.

HP Photosmart desktop printers do not have an internal memory that stores scanned images, copies, or print jobs. Make sure any camera cards in the front slot have been removed.

I would suggest starting with your MacBook Air.
The Photosmart 5510 is listed as supported by Apple. So I suggest setting it up under your MacBook Air as described in this Mac Print 101 article:

Then hopefully your iOS devices will see it on AirPrint.
