Photosmart b110a not eprinting pdf attachments

When I try and send a pdf as an attachment by email, I get a page with the following message printed (instead of the pdf):
"Please wait...
If the message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document.
I can print the pdf wirelessly (i.e. non eprint option) and can also eprint other file formats (such as jpgs etc)

Just an update on this: I now see that it prints some pdf documents (both by eprint and thru wireless) but not some other pdf documents. The Adobe version on the PC is Adobe X (the latest, even though I don't think it matters). I can't tell the difference between the pdf files. The size of the pdfs, if anything, is lesser than the ones that are being printed.

  • Can Not Open PDF Attachments

I can not open PDF attachments from outlook 2010. I am running windows 8  and using Adobe version 11.0.2  If I save the file to desktop, then it will allow me to open it and print it.
Thanks in advance for yor help.
the error says it can not open the file because it is unsupported or corrupt.

If you can't open the attachment, have your client/ customer or whatever fix their defective copy of Outlook and send real mail attachments not TNEF encoded rubbish. They are spewing defective email every time they click send on a mail with an attachment.

    Pete991239,
I'm willing to guess that you've never had ePrint work when sending from this e-mail. It appears from the message that the e-mail is being blocked at the initial gateway of the HP servers which segregates known domains (like gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) from the ones it doesn't recognize (like rr.com, cingular.att.com). I have a strong feeling that "tesco.net" is one of those it's filtering out (but this is a speculation as I do not have access to the algorithims in place for the servers).
Try sending a print job from a GMail account or a Yahoo account if you have access to one and see if you are capable of doing this. If so, set up an auto forward rule in one of these accounts to forward any e-mail sent to it to be forwarded on to the ePrint e-mail address. I've tested this here in our offices and have success.
Let me know if this works.

  • WIFI ePrint B110a not working after new modem router

I have had an ePrint  Photosmart B110a for over a year. It has worked great.
However recently our wifi modem router died, and we had to get a new one. It is a Dlink DSL 2875 AL.
I have set up the router and connected the printer to it via WIFI.
Now here is the problem. Immediately after I connect it, the printer works for about 15 seconds.
In other words, I reconnect the WIFI on the printer to the WIFI network, then if I immediately try to print something on my iPhone via WIFI, it will work.
However within less than 30 seconds if I try to print something else, it will say "printer is offline" and then won't show the printer at all in the iPhone "select printer" options menu.
I've spent hours on trying to solve this situation, I want to print over WIFI and it used to work great.
Could the modem be faulty? Could the printer be faulty? Is it a setting?
    How do I fix this?
    Please help.

    Hello Tommotom,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see that you are having issues with the B110a and your iPhone when trying to print since changing your modem / router. I don't think there is an issue with the printer, iPhone or router, some settings may just need to be adjusted.
I see that the new router is a dual band router. You want to make sure that the printer and iPhone are connecting to only the 2.4 Ghz portion of the router. The printer will only work with 2.4 Ghz, the iPhone on the other hand, can connect to either.
Apple devices pick up the printer signal via the Bonjour protocol, I have worked with routers in the past that will not constantly broadcast the Bonjour protocol, this would cause your described issue too. To check the router, use this App on the phone, suggested by Shirlzz1: Help Determine if your router can support AirPrint with the Bonjour Discovery App.
Lastly, for now, check to ensure that the ports on the router are all open to allow full printing ability, this post will show you the ports: Check the Anti-Virus for Blocked Ports and Timed Scans.
I look forward to hearing back from you.

  • EPrint not printing any attachments or pictures

I have the HP CP1525nw color laser printer. When I send emails to it, it does not print any attachments. When I send it an email with an Excel, PDF, or JPG attachment, it only print the body of the email, and nothing else.
So when I typed "test" and included the attachments, all I got was a page that said "test", and nothing else.
    I use Outlook 2010 and Windows 7.

  • I am not able to open the pdf attachments that someone has sent me it comes up with a gray box saying adobe could not open they have sent it a few times in different ways but still can't open it i use windows 7

I am not able to open the pdf attachments that someone sent me it comes up with a gray box saying adobe cannot open?

Make sure the pdf has the '.pdf' extension on the file name. I've seen this a few times and adding the extension usually solves the problem.

  • Pdf attachments do not come through on iCloud mail but they do on other email accounts on same device

I have several email accounts set up that appear on all my devices: iMac, iPhone and iPad.  I use 2 email accounts for work purposes, and good thing I use two. I receive pdf attachments in non-apple email accounts, but the same email sent to my iCloud address comes through minus the attachment and shows only "winmail.dat".  I am using the same device to read the email from the different accounts, but the problem is consistent with all my apple devices. This has to be a setting in iCloud mail but I can not figure it out. Please help.

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW.
If the basic troubleshooting steps don't work, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and probable replacement.

  • PDF attachments in Mail not showing up in Outlook

I am using the Mail client on Snow Leopard to send a message with a pdf attachment. This attachment is not visible to recipients using Outlook 2010. Why? Windows Friendly Attachments setting is on. The PDF file was created by printing from Pages.

sorry, I should have been clearer
If you have an Exchange server; you need to apply the required Update Rollup to the Exchange server, rather than local Outlook clients.   Noe that the Outlook Web Access should still display the PDF attachment.
    "Consider the following scenario:
You have a server that has Update Rollup 3 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3 (SP3) installed.
You use a Mac Mail client to send an email message that includes a PDF attachment to a mailbox on the server.
You open the email message by using Outlook 2010.
In this scenario, the PDF attachment in the email message is not displayed.
Note The PDF attachment is displayed when you open the email message by using Outlook Web Access (OWA).
    RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:

  • Mail app not showing some png and pdf attachments.

I'm using the iPhone 4s and recently, both mobileme and yahoo email accounts are not showing some png and pdf attachments. I'm seeing the attachment is there, but it doesn't load. Load remote images is turned on in settings. Does anyone have the same problem and a solution/explanation?

My work email account is an IMAP account.
I removed my work email account on my home computer this morning to test out this problem on my computer at work. I just sent a test message to my work account from my iPhone. My iPhone, iPad and computer at work still have my work email active on them and all the devices are showing the test message as new and unread. The problem seems to be that when I have my work email activated on my home computer, the messages do not show new and unread on the rest of my devices.

  • PDF attachments with same name not being overwitten?

    Hi everyone,
Wondering if anyone can provide some insight here. Every day, an email with a PDF attachment is automatically generated and sent to some individuals in our organization. The PDF attachment always has the same filename.
Recently one of the recipients, an iPhone user connected via EAS, reports that the PDF attachment "is not updating" - that is, when he opens today's PDF attachment, the actual PDF displayed is a week old.
I've obviously verified that current emails do in fact contain current attachments. I'm not sure what the actual mechanism is but logically it seems that at some point, the iPhone stopped overwriting or renaming those similarly-named PDF attachments and is now only displaying the most recent one it managed to save.
Is there a cache or something that we need to clear here?
    Thanks in advance,
    Drew

I have this exact problem, really frustrating. No solution yet.

  • Mail with PDF attachments sent, not stored in Sent

IMAP account, Sent folder configured to point to server's sent mail folder. "Windows friendly attachments" selected.
If I send a message with multiple PDF attachments, the message will be received, but it won't be written to the Sent folder.
I can't afford to lose the archive copy of these messages, so I have adopted the habit of bcc'ing myself, but it's a drag.
    Any thoughts?

I don't think this is a Mail issue, I think it's to do with the receiving ISP and the reason the mail can't be delivered. For example, if the address does not exist the mail will probably bounce back straight away but if the recipient's mail box is full then the server may try later and if it's been emptied, the mail will go through - if not, after a few tries it will bounce. Hence the delay.

  • Why don't PDF attachments not visible in mail.

Mail is not displaying PDF's that are attached in the body of the email.  We have been dragging and dropping pdf and jpeg images into emails for years. The images are visible
in the anders email but not to the receiver.  What changed?  Why are they not visible. We shouldn't have to down load or use quick view to see them.  The image files are under 1 mb.

    Hi,
    Similar problem here with me.
    Also this thread - http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1997630
Hopefully we can find a solution.
I've rebuilt mailboxes and re-added accounts to no avail.
Attachments are working fine in the web interface but when syched with IMAP to Mail - no worky.
    I get a winmail.dat file instead.
    Cheers
