Photosmart C5380 printing error

Hi,
I have a Photosmart C5380 all in one printer.
It keeps coming up with error '0x610000f6', I have tried the solutions listed
but none of them fix the problem.
Does anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?
Thanks

I am having the same problem. I have even tried reinstalling the software as well and still no luck.

I have a Photosmart 6510 Printer error message 0xc19a0003. I have re-powered the printer but still get the error message Oxc19a0003. Suggestions to fix?
    Thanks!

You are correct, gksurgeon, the 5510 does not have a removable printhead. If you followed the steps in the document above, then the printer will need to be replaced.
If you are still in warranty, HP may replace the printer at no cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link will take you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it out and it is processed, it will give you the printers warranty information, a case number, and the phone number to call.

  • HP Photosmart 3310, Printer Error 0xc18a0001

Can anyone help. We have a HP Photosmart 3310 Printer which is giving the above error message, so it won't print or do anything. We've followed the instructions online; taking out the USB cable, removing the cartridges, turning the unit off, then turning back on again etc etc, but we dont get the prompt to replace the cartridges (the error message remains the same). Does anyone have any other suggestions, or has this machine reached its end?

I just ran into this problem with my Photosmart 3310 two days ago.  After a lot of research, I ran into a post where a person said the most probable cause for this problem was the ink pump gear had fallen off. I decided to open my Photosmart 3310 and yes that gear was sitting at the bottom of the printer at an angle. I took the printer apart, got to the ink pump gear and put there it was off to the side.  After about 15 screws and 8 pices my printer was back together.  I turned it on and still got the same error. I had to reset the system by holding down the OK, Cancel, Black, and Color buttons down at the same time and turned the 3310 off. I kept holding the buttons down until the printer turned off and then I turned it back on. When it came on it did its little "device maintenance occurring" thing for about 2 minutes and then I was able to print again just like old times. On the printer, you will have to remove the sides,  and the scanner. You will have to disconnect the motherboard so that you can remove the scanner from the printer.  Carefull not to damage any of the connections. You will also have to remove the cover for the printhead to do the repair. The gear for that ink pump is on the left side where the power supply is. Here's an image to give you an idea where that white gear is:

  • Photosmart 3310 printer error: 0xc18a0206

My photosmart 3310 printer is in error, I get this message: "Ink system has failed. Unable to copy, receive faxes, or print. Refer to printer documentation. Error: 18a0206". I tried to reset by holding the OK and the Cancel button down at the same time and plug in the printer. It went through the long maintenance cycle but still didn't work I did this like....7 times and it still says the same thing. Anybody got any ideas of what to do?
    Thanks

  • Photosmart 6520 Printer Error 0xc19a0013

Getting Printer Error 0xc19a0013, replaced half empty black cartridge with new one, still have same problem.
Did all the usual, Power Off/On, Align Printheads, Clean Printheads.  Black is not printing at all.
Sems this is an issue with the Photosmart 6520, where the printhead fails after a few years.   And the printhead is a non-replaceable/servicable part.
Too bad, I have $100 worth of Ink and no printer.

    Welcome to the forums @Sparkythree
I read your post about the error code you're seeing on your Photosmart 6520, and all of the troubleshooting steps you have tried in hopes to repair it, to no avail.
I would suggest calling us directly to discuss your printer replacement or trade in options with HP and also mention that you have ink as well, to see if there is anything technical support can suggest for the ink you have left.

  • Photosmart c309 printer error

Macintosh OS10. Photosmart c309 had a paper jam. It was cleared, but now I get the screen message "general printer error - check printer documentation." Please help.

There are a couple of possibilities here. One, the printer could simply need reset. Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord for 30 seconds, connect power cord and turn it back on.
If that does not fix it, there may something related to the jam you experienced internally. Something could be slightly out of place or a small piece of debris inside. Use the information in this document, it could help with the details:

  • Photosmart 6510 Printer error/Blue screen on printer display Code:B864F472

    Hello
I'm having a reoccurring problem with my HP Photosmart 6510 all-in-one. The printer will stay on for about five minutes, give or take, and proceed to flash a blue screen (on printer display) with error code B864F472
Next the screen displays a "Printer Error" message followed by "Please turn printer off and then on" with all lights on the printer flashing.
It will display this until I cycle the power and it repeats the same behavior after about five minutes.
I've searched extensively for a solution and have tried multiple things. Such as:
-Unplugging from back of printer and wall, 30 sec wait then plug back in.
-Clean cartridge and print header contacts.
    -Set static IP.
-Printed various reports from service mode, No errors, Excellent signal strength.
    -Connected to laptop through USB.
    -Partial reset, Semi-Full reset.
    -Reinstalled drivers on all computers.
    -Updated firmware/software on printer itself.
-Ran HP Print and Scan Doctor.
    -Reset Router
I'm at a loss now. The unit is just over a year old. I have two laptops and a desktop on the same network. Two computers running Windows 8.1 64-bit and the other Windows 7 64-bit.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. and no solution
All seems to work before the 5 minuts (I can print diagnostic page from the PC), then I think it a microcode problem ...

  • My Photosmart C5380 printer green instead of black

Occationally my printer is printing green instead of black.
Sometimes it is from the beginning of a document and sometimes it is the middle of a document.
I have tried to change the cartridge but have the same result.
    Best regards

    Hi @tobby37 ,
I'd like to help you with this issue, the black is printing in green sometimes. You have changed the cartridge and are having the same results.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Try these steps to see if it will resolve the issue.
'Ink cartridge problem' Message Displays on the Printer.
    Please disregard the title.
Are you using Genuine HP Cartridges?
    What are the ink levels?
Please let me know if you require any additional assistance.
    Have a fantastic day!
    Thank You.

    Hello JonHayward.
I understand your concerns. It seems like your printer software has a conflict. Please follow these steps to try and resolve your issue:
Please uninstall your software from the Control Panel of your computer. I will provide an HP document here, to help perform these steps.
Next, clean your Temp Folder on your computer. I will provide a YouTube video on performing this step here.
Before installing the software onto your computer, please follow this HP document on Using Microsoft System Configuration. Only perform Figure 2, Figure 3 and figure 4, but exclude number 5 in this document. Do not perform any further steps.
Now, install the full feature software from the CD or from the HP website here. Please choose your correct operating system; either 32 bit or 64 bit.
Afterward, perform step 5 in the "Using Microsoft System Configuration" document. This will enable the normal start up.
Please inform me your troubleshooting steps.
    Good luck.

  • HP Photosmart C5380 not printing colors as it should

I'm having a problem with printing. Up until the other day I was printing ok, but suddenly when I went to print instead of printing red, a yellowish orange color was printing, and purple was printing a very light blue. I cleaned the printhead, which resulted in red printing in yellow. I used the clean printhead option on the printer settings, colors are printing mostly ok. Just some lines are more faded than others. The colors that print with this are orange, green, purpule, yellow, pink and blue. I also tried to print in grayscale, which ended up printing in green. Any ideas of how to fix this problem??? Thanks

  • Printing error message and failure to print from PhotoSmart

I can do all of the various photo functions in photosmart, but when I click on Print, I consistently get the "Printing Error:The slected paper size is too small for the current print size."  At no point am I directed to select the paper size.  I know the process because occasionally it has worked.  There is no prompt for selecting paper size.  For this reason, I have to defer to another photo printing program.  Why can't I select a paper size and proceed to printing?

I have tried creating the profile again and still get the same problem.  The problem is machine based and not user based.
    Hi GG1234,
If you recreated the Outlook profile and still got the same problem, please try to recreate the Windows Profile:
Log on to client using local admin account->rename the profile folder under c:\users.
By the way, did you try to print the mails in OWA?

  • Error:-9672 when trying to add HP Photosmart C3180 printer.

    Printer: HP Photosmart C3180
"An error occured while trying to add the selected printer. Error:-9672"
Printer works fine if connected directly to my iMac. But, through "Airport Extreme Base Station", I get the error.
Anyone with same printer having same problem? Anyone solutions?
iMac Intel Core Duo   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

I found the same thing out yesterday and did the same solution.
One issue should be noted. The quality of the print is much worse since we are not using the correct print driver. Works fine for standard unimportant text printing, but really can't be used for printing photos.
Connect the printer directly to the computer USB and print a photograph using the real print driver, then connect wirelessly using the above method and print the same photo. The difference is dramatic.
It also seems to overuse black ink when hooked up through the Airport, and the printer light blinks for a while after printing is done.
Anyway, I plan on leaving it hooked up wirelessly for convenience sake, but when good quality is needed I will attach it directly to the USB port.
You can verify my findings and let others know if you find the same thing I found.
Good luck, and lets hope there are more compatible printers available in the future.

  • Photosmart 6520--Unable to Find Printer error

I just purchased a HP Photosmart 6520 printer.  I installed the software onto my computer; however, I am unable to complete the set up due to receiving the error message that the printer cannot be found.  I entered the IP address as indicated on the printer and uninstalled/reinstalled the software, to no avail.  If it cannot be fixed, I will have to return the printer.

I figured out the problem.  It was my firewall on my computer!
