PhotoSmart C7280 Spits Out Too Many Copies

Hello - I am now successfully connected to the above printer from our Windows7 system. However, the printer prints multiple copies. Ex. when I send one copy to print I go downstairs to the printer and find anywhere between 4 and 14 copies on the out tray. Are there any recommended adjustments to be made?

Report timing out, "Too many records"

I am using CR XIR2 with a univers that I created to run an inverntory report. The report works fine in the designer but when I go to run it from the CR Server It times out. (Very quickly). If I put filters and only pull a subset of the data the report works fine. This issue is there should not be too many records. Where can I check to make sure that there are no limitations set and I can get all of the records? I have set the parameters for the Universe to no limit records or time to execute. Is there any place else I can check? or any other ideas?

What viewer do you use?
If the viewer is ADHTML, you are using the RAS (Report Application Server). In that case, you need to set the number of (db) records to read in the RAS properties on the CMC.
If the viewer is DHTML, Java or ActiveX, you are using the CR Page Server. You will need to set the number of db records to read in the Cryatal Reports Page Server properties on the CMC.

Locked out-too many attempts

Hey, my main Skype account with all my contacts is locked. It has usually auto signs in, but for some reason didn;t today....I had forgotten the email associated with it, and now that I know which email, it won't let me get a password reset due to trying too many times.

That is almost the same issue that I am having, I just got done talking to live support and they suggested i changed my microsoft password, I changed it but it still says i am locked out due to too many attempts. I had forgotten my password after trying it at least 3 times, I changed my password and tried it again and it locked me out. I am using skype through the windows 8 store, and I am able to access it just fine on my other computer account but unable to go in it on this one.

Too many copies installed

I keep getting warning at PE9 startup that I have installed PE9 on too many computers even though I have uninstalled on all but the 2 permitted. How do I get rid of this warning? It is a registration box at startup requesting product code etc. It keeps indicating that I still have PE9 installed on more than 2 computers, when it is not the case.

Photosmart C6180 prints too many copies of PDFs and HTML-documents

Hi,
My Photosmart C6180 prints multiple copies of documents even if I haven't asked for it. This seems to only apply to PDFs and HTML-documents, I haven't seen it happen with Word/Excel. It's not consistent, it happens most of the time but now always for these documents. When I look at the console, when it has started printing I see shortly the status "Printing - Restarting". That's probably when it starts the 2nd copy. Sometimes it stops by itself, other times it seems to be looping and I have to turn the printer off and delete the document from the queue.
HP solution center SW is updated, I run Vista with latest service packs on a Thinkpad T400s.
Any ideas?

My C6180 printed multiple copies of any document from my Vista OS laptop ( wireless connection ), but not from my
XP OS desktop ( USB connection), even though I selected 1 copy on the print menu. Unchecking "Enable bidirectional support" in the Properties / Ports dialog box solved the problem. Hope this helps someone too.

I moved my applications folder to the desktop, but modified the applications in my dock, and now i have too many copies of the applications folder and cant get rid of them without being unable to use the applications :(

I moved my applications folder to the desktop when i first got my imac. now i want to get rid of it, but when i put it in the trash, it wont let me use the applications, even though they are in more than one folder. I am at a loss of what to do now cause i have two copies of everything. please help me figure this out.

I really don't understand what you're trying to say. If I have a folder in A, and I move it to B, then the folder will be in B. There is no duplication. I still have only one folder, only the location is different.
Furthermore, your desktop is on your hard drive. Everything is on your hard drive.

Losing tunes/too many copies on external drive

I keep my itunes library on an external drive, as it is far too large for my laptop. Now and again, I undock the machine. Redocking (and relocating the library, frequently ), I end with itunes losing many tunes, and, alternately, with tons of missing tunes, and also tons of duplicated tunes. Now and again so many are missing I re-add the itunes folder to the 'library', and hence get a zillion duplicates. I spend hours every couple of months dealing with these problems.
Is there a way for itunes to automatically delete all the "missing" files?
Is there a way, other than manually (see hours) to delete all the duplicated files?
If no to both of these, is there a better solution for an external library than itunes?

Printing too many copies

I have a g5 printing to an HP 5550 with OS X 10.3.9. I've downloaded the most recent driver from hp and installed it after removing the printer.
The g5 prints the same copy over and over to the printer, but doesn't do that with any other printer. No other client, mac or pc, prints multiple copies when attempting to print one.
Please let me know if you have any troubleshooting thoughts on this. Other than removing and re adding the printer do macs cache other printer information that I can reset?

You could try this little utility and see if it can reset what you need. It can empty a cache and do a few other things besides.

C6180 prints too many copies

I know that others have posted on this exact issue, however thier solutions did not work. Below are the systems info:
OS is Win7 Ultimate 64bit (with all current updates)
64bit HP Software installed dated 9/2009 (using C6100 driver)
Bidirectional Printing is Disabled
Menu on printer is set to 1 (one) copy
Printer is used wirelessly only (have not tried usb cable) (not sure I have one anymore)
Printer prints fine from an XP Pro wireless mini. No matter if I set the copies to 1 (one), it will give me most of the time 4 or more depending on the number of pages. This is something that just started. Computer is clean (no virus or related threats detected). It does scan properly and the manual copy button on the device works correctly as well.
I have not tried un-installing and cleaning the HP software off yet, I wanted to see if someone had come across this first and see if they had found a fix before I go to that trouble, Thanks

I have the exact same problem with an HPL7680. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) and this just started recently after an HP Update in mid to late November. Like youi, I can print fine within the same network (with wired and wireless devices) with OSs that are non-Windows 7...specifically with Windows XP, I have no problems.
I uninstalled the software completely and reinstalled. The first few print jobs were OK and then it reverted back to printing 3-4 pages per job when the number of copies was one (1). It doesn't matter what application I am in and even the Test Page printed 3 pages. I opened up the print job dialogue to see what was going on and it always begins with 4/1 under pages and then reverts to 3/1 and will not delete the job after the first print cycle. I checked the Windows XP print dialogue and it does the same, however, it immediately deletes the print job after the first copy...no problems.
I distinctly believe this has to do with that update. I am attempting to restore the system, however, I cannot find a restore point for the update.
Does HP Tech have any input on this? I only have so much ink and paper I can afford before I trash this HP.

Use the Office activation phone number and call the automated activation menu. It will ask you how many installations you have. It will then issue you a new code for your new installation. Make sure your old installation is removed.

I have too many song duplicates

I am having a problem with song duplicates. In transferring music from my pc to powerbook via an ipod, too many copies were copied from the ipod onto both my hard drive and itunes. What is the best solution to this problem?

There is no such Trojan or other malware known today that will do that using OS X nor has there ever been one. The most probable explanation is that somebody hacked into your e-mail account on the server, so you should change that password to something stronger right away. If it had come from your Mac then there would almost certainly be copies of those messages in your Sent Mail mailbox.

Can't figure out how to make "sub-tabs" / Too many "top-tabs" / Other ?

First of all, the website that I am webmaster for is: www.cindydennis.org .
I am having some problems:
1) There are TOO MANY tabs at the top. I can't figure out how to make sub-headings on one page...
For example, I'd like on the "About CDM" page, tabs that can be clicked on to go to other information tabs, but that don't end up appearing on the top (e.g.: having "Remarks" and "What We Believe" tabs go there, but not appear at the top).
Another example, if you look at the home screen, I'd like to have the link to the "Privacy Policy" and Terms of Service" pages on the bottom, but not have them appear as tabs in the top, too.
How do I do this, please? I've searched, and can't figure out/___sbsstatic___/migration-images/migration-img-not-avail.png
2) How do I add "Copyright 2011" automatically? I saw in the Rapidweaver trial version, it automatically adds it when you publish... is there a way to tell this program to do this? Or do I need to type that in on each page? (I don't want to purchase RW... I'm not ready for that yet.)

Cindee ~ One way to do the copyright notice is to use a Text Clipping — Select (highlight) the copyright text you want to use and drag it to the Desktop. If necessary, change the name of the Clipping icon so that it's more easily identifiable on the Desktop. Then, when you need it in iWeb, simply drag the Clipping icon from the Desktop to iWeb's main canvas.

A data recovery company MAY be able to do it for a price. The Disabled is a very good security feature.
JWhy not just restore from the last backup you have?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
