Photosmart HP C4480 printing problem! Help!!!

Hp C4480 prints directly from a memory card, but it doesn't print from PC.
It doesn't say that there is a problem, but it just pulls paper through, without any printing...
I don't have other colors than black, and I want to print grayscale photos, black&white text etc. but it just won't work :-(...
I have Windows XP installed...
What should I do?

Printing from memory card is OK??
Maybe its a driver problem
Try this:
x:/util/ccc(x = the cd that came with the printer or your cd drive) under the ccc folder look for Uninstall_L1.bat and Uninstall_L2 double click on each of the file to uninstall the driver. and it might ask you to restart. After restart reload the cd and install the driver back..

I have since put all new cartridges in, it recognises them all, including the black one, and if I'm printing something like a word document then it moves as if printing but the page comes out blank - no black ink is used.
I work for myself and work from home so need to get this resolved asap.
I've checked the cartidge - it's good.
I've checked the connection and print cartridge bay - they're clean.
Please help.
The colour is working fine.
The black ink issue is the same whether printing, scanning, or copying.
And I have tried turning everything off and on again!!!

HP Photosmart 2610xi wireless printing problem

I have a HP Photosmart 2610 xi All-In-One printer that networks through a Netgear 600 Router for Macs. I have had the printer connected to the router through a USB cable connection versus Ethernet and it had worked very nicely for a long time.
We have had a couple of days where the power to our house has gone on and off several times. After this, my IMac first and then my MacBook Pro laptop will not print wirelessly to this printer w/o printing page after page of a 2-line computer code of gobbledygook. The OS is OS 10.9.1. I have to cancel printing to stop it going through lots of paper. The printer will print if directly connected to a computer and my computer still wirelessly prints fine to a Canon airprint printer.
I have noticed that an older MacBook Pro laptop with an older version of OS 10 will print wirelessly without this problem, so it looks like a potential problem with the newest OS version and the printer.
How do I solve this problem? I'd like to use this printer wirelessly as I did before. I have tried to troubleshoot this and not luck with my efforts. Thanks for any help.

I believe that the only way that you can use the scanner without bonjour is by connecting it to your computer through a USB connection instead of a network connection.

HP Photosmart 7510 Series Printer Problem

For several weeks I have had issues of my black ink not printing. This has been very frustrating and costly as I spent over a hundred dollars on new ink cartridges (combo package). After reinstalling the cartridges several times with no success at printing and numerous attempts to clean the injectors, thinking they might be clogged, still the black ink would not print. I read on this blog that others had similar problems and after several days of letting it sit idle they tried again and had success. I tried everyday for a few days and got tired of it failing to print and wasting the colored ink. Now after several weeks I tried again and IT PRINTED as it should!!! Yea, but why did this occur? What caused it to start printing again? I thought I was going to need to buy a new print head but then I saw how costly print heads are I figured I might as well give up and go buy a new printer (I would not have bought another HP if I had done that) Anyways, I am happy that today after several weeks I tried printing again and it worked, but I want to know why does it now work? What caused it not to print in black for all those weeks?

There are a few possibilities: if the vents are clogged the ink would starve, but may recover after some time. If the printhead was left uncapped (due to shutting off the power to the printer from an external switch for example) the printhead could clog. It could recover after sitting in the high humidity capping station for some time.
If the issue arises again you might go through the troubleshooting steps in the document here. If the above does not resolve the problem the post here may help.

HP Photosmart Pro B9180 - print problem - color

The photo output is not the correct color. I tried cleaning and calibartaing but tere does not seem to be
magenta printing. the reoprt says the printhead is oK, but it is not printing correctly ?
Any ideas ?

Hard Reset – While printer is powered ON, pull

Photosmart 7350 Photo Printing Problems

When I print a photo with my Photosmart 7350, it would stop printing after 2/3 of the photo was done. I uninstalled the printer, then reinstalled, and now the whole photo will print, but where it used to stop, the quality of the print drops significantly. It's always in the same spot, no matter the print quality selected.
I'm using Win XP, SP3 and a USB connection. I get no error messages of any kind.
Any suggestions?

Yes, I am having the same problem and also all of the other problems reported. One printer head has already been replaced and another is on its way. Not to mention the catridges (black) that I wasted in the process. When it prints, the quality is superb. It is just failing too often with less than six months of operation.

WRTU54G-TM Printing Problems Help!

In my router I set it up to be more secure from a WEP Key to WPA2 Personal by doing it this way:
Wireless
Wireless Security
Security Mode: WPA2 Personal
WPA Algorithims: TKIP/AES
WPA Shared Key: (the password it generated)
Group Key Renewal: 3600 seconds
After setting it up this way I started experiencing wireless printing issues with my wireless printer. I called the manufacturer and they told me to set the Channel to Channel 11.
I did it this way:
Wireless
Basic Wireless Settings
Wireless Network Mode: Mixed
Wireless Network Name (SSID): (name of my router)
Wireless Channel: 11 - 2.462GHz
Wireless SSID Broadcast: Enable
I'm still experiencing issues printing wirelessly with my wireless printer and I called the manufacturer again and they told me to get help on what to do from yall to get this issue resolved and what is causing this issue that I'm having to persist the way that it is. Please help me and tell me what I need to do to resolve this issue and how to fix it.

What model of printer is it?

Has anyone else had the problem of photo printing perfectly on all papers except HP Photo paper? I loose all my black tones when I print on the photo paper, but I bought Kodak paper and it worked.

Elements 9 printing problem HELP !

After opening Nikon RAW file, doing all I want to do with it, then File/Print - it randomly tells me I need to install a printer (yes it is installed and yes it works perfectly sometimes) - sometime it works fine but sometimes it doesn't but when it doesn't I have to kill the Editor process in Task manager and restart the PC to make it work again. This use to work fine with 8 and it's driving me up the wall!
I'm currently trying to deal with and print a friend's wedding photos and at this rate I will still be here at Christmas!

You may wish to start by be making sure you have the latest version of your printer's driver installed on your computer.
The other thing you may wish to try is resetting PSE's preferences by:
   1. Close Elements.
   2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click on Edit.
   3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
Sometimes the settings file gets corrupted and resetting may help.

Printing problems help needed

I got a photo printed at jessops today (because I do not have my own printer and am not familiar with professional printing labs), which turned out to be a complete disaster. The colours were too saturated and blotchy, the overall image was too bright, detail was lost and there were different colours around the edges. There was not a lot of contrast either.
I had only undertaken a few tweaks in aperture, by slightly increasing the saturation using the colours tool and adding a little contrast. The image looked fine on screen and on two other computers I tried the CD on after exporting it.
I spoke to someone at Jessops about this and they asked what colour channel I was using in photoshop, having never used this I was unsure, is it the same thing in Aperture? All I know is that both my camera and Aperture are set up to sRGB.
Anyway, I have now downloaded the ICC Profile for the printer they use (Frontier 570) from the Fuji website. However when I use onscreen proofing with this profile, the image still looks okay and nothing like what my print does. I was expecting the screen to look like my print so I could see where I was going wrong.
If I use this profile will my print come out as it is shown onscreen or will it be another disaster. If so what further calibrations do I need to do to get a good result or is it best to just use a copy of the master with no enhancements (resulting in a less effective image)?
I need this print by tomorrow and would appreciate some serious help as I didn't really get much at Jessops, although they are going to let me try and print this again for free.
FYI the print is an A4 size, taken at full resolution in good conditions and exported as a high res JPEG.

I changed the ICC profile to the one advised by Jessops (CAFrontier570Generic.icc downloaded from Fujifilm.co.uk) and had this re-printed, the colours came out better (only on the master not adjusted version though) but there is still no detail and the shadow areas seem to have been lost which ruined the effect.
My original image was printed using the sRGB profile and the end result was a mess.
Again Jessops told me I need to calibrate the colours on my mac, but I don't know how to do this. I have only changed the icc profile. I don't know why the onscreen proofing is showing the image as being fine but the actual print is not.

Only my black ink will NOT print. The color will print fine. All cartridges are full. Cannot copy in black or print from PC in black. HELP!!!!

10.6.8 Printing problem with HP Photosmart premium C310 printer

I hvae a Photosmart Premium C310 printer which is connected wirelessly to my network. I also have a Mac Pro which is connected to the same network by ethernet cable. Up until I updated to OS10.6.8 everything worked fine. After that I found that when I restated the printer I could see it for a short time under the printer list but then it seems to "time out" and I can no longer print to it within a couple of minutes from my Mac Pro. When I restart the printer I can also see its embedded web page again for a few minutes but then it becomes not visble.
I also own a Macbook pro and two iphones and an ipod touch and all these wireless devices have no problem with seeing the printer and printing to it at any time. The Macbook Pro is also updated to 10.6.8 and works fine with this printer.
It would seem that the issue is not with wireless devices but with a wired device printing to this wireless printer even though it is on the same network and on the same subnet mask. All that has changed between working fine last week and not being recognised this week is an update to OS10.6.8
I have restarted the Mac Pro, reinstalled the latest HP software and reset the printers wireless setup but this makes no difference.
Is this a similar issue to what others have been reporting about a bug with printing under 10.6.8 or possibly something else. Any help here would be appreciated as I have no way of printing from my Mac Pro right now.

Pengtao, I have plugged my Macbook Pro into the network (with Airport off) and I can no longer reach the Photosmart printer. Remove the cable and go wireless and the Macbook Pro can reach the printer again. I have installed the photosmart printer software under Windows 7 using Parallels on my Mac Pro and have no problems finding the Photosmart printer from it.
To make matters worse I have bought a new Laserjet M1536 today and install it on my network. Again I get the same issues. I can print to it from any wireless device on the network but cannot reach it on any wired device on the network.Switch the printer off and on and I can see it and print to it for about a minute then it becomes "offline" to my Mac Pro
Given that it works fine under Windows 7 from a Mac Pro I have to conclude that the issue must be OSX 10.6.8 and nothing else as everything worked fine before the upgrade. I have turned all device off and on , checked all cable connections and also uninstalled and reinstalled all printer drivers on the Mac Pro and cannot get it working. Any advice you may have that may solve the problem beyond it being an OSX issue will be greatly welcomed.

When I try to scan it asks me for destination, PC or SD card, when you select PC it tells me to iniciate from the computer.
The printer was installed with the 3100 series drivers. i have no icons to inicate from the PC. I have downloaded an ran PS_AIO_07_C310_FSW_Full_Win_enu_140_246 which is supposed to be the correct software and drivers for this printer. When I process this application, there is no termination. It asks if I want to let it make changes to this computer, runs for a while and then disappers from active processes. Acts like nothing really terminated or even ran.
Printing and copying works perfect, only problem is with scanning. I have used the workaround of going to the printers IP address but this does not allow multipage scans.
i have windows 7 Home Preimum Service Pack 1 64bit operating system using Chrome as the browser. Printer is being used as wireless.

I see that you are having some issues when it comes to scanning.
I suggest that you attempt to use the HP Scan software. Please click on Start and go to All Programs. Scroll down the menu until you see a Yellow HP folder. In the Folder you will see your printer listed. Click on the printer and you will then see HP Scan.
If this does not resolve your issue, please write me back.

Since installing Firefox 4.0 I cannot scan on my HP Photosmart C4480 printer/scanner/copier. Do I need to use older version of Firefox?

Installed Firefox 4.0 after using Internet Explorer for many years. Everything works fine, except cannot scan on HP Photosmart C4480 printer/scanner/copier. Can copy and use printer, just cannot scan pictures in any more. HP help center will not open.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.
