PhotoStream, Camera Roll deletes not working

I'm fully up to date on both iOS and OS X
Since 7's release a few bizarre things have been happening
If I delete a photo from Camera Roll, the photo reappears a few minutes later. I have to delete a photo 4-5 times before it stops coming back
In addition, photos never appear on PhotoStream until I sync with iTunes.
Most likely hugs that should be corrected, but wondering if anyone has had similar issues and if there's a fix (short of resetting the device)

Correct. There is only one photo and it is in the camera roll. The folders you create are just a way to organize the pics. it does not create a duplicate pic.
Just as a song is in your library and a playlist, a pic is in the camera roll and the folder.
If you delete a song from the library, then it is gone. The same is true of pics.

Yesterday I was able to take photos but around 9pm last night my rear camera stop working. I have reseted my phone and have also restored it and the camera still is not working. Also I have deleted all apps that can have access to the camera.

How did the photos get onto the phone ? Only photos taken with the phone or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the device. Photos that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from on your computer and then re-syncing.

To delete your photo library you need to connect to iTunes, then remove the selection for the images, then sync the device.
While you are connected to iTunes do the update through iTunes. It takes much less memory as the update is loaded onto your computer, unpacked, then sent to the device.

A response I put together from another post. Also going into iTunes and choosing to sync phone to iCloud then back "this computer" sometimes works.
First thing.. Stop where you are. Don't try to sync, update, hard reset, iCloud... Just stop.
Check on your phone under 'SETTINGS' 'GENERAL' USAGE'. It should show some value for PHOTOSTREAM. Also, connect to iTunes and you will notice at the bottom of your phones summary page that there is a large amount of 'OTHER' data.
I used third party software called iExplorer (formerly iPhone explorer). In this program you select 'MEDIA FOLDER', then 'DCIM'. In the various apple folders (IE: 101APPLE) you should be able to preview your photos and copy them to your desktop.
From there sync them back to your device through iTunes or whatever method you use.
There is a simpler solution I'm sure, which may involve using iExplorer to delete some .plist files then restart the phone and let it rebuild. I'm going to try it myself AFTER I've finished copying all the photos to my MAC

I assume you have Photostream on, correct?
In order for the photos to be moved into Photostream, you must exit the camera app, and be on a wifi connection. Both of these criteria must be met before the sync occurs.

Hello iv recently transferred my photos to my iphone from my laptop 3600 photos but when i go to upload a photo to facebook it will only access my camera roll photos not the 3600 ones.. can somebody please help.

I am having same issue! After May 14 FB update, I can't choose ANY photos from my photo library to upload to FB mobile. It's ONLY allowing me to select from Camera Roll. It works from ipad and ipod, just not iphone 5? I used to get choices from all of my photos in Photo Library. And it has nothing to do with the privacy settings, etc that users experienced with update to IOS6. Everything is enabled and WAS working prior to may14 FB app update. Funny thing is, on the May 13 update that FB had it worked fine. When they did May 14 update, that was it. I've sent and posted notices on those discussion boards too. Hopefully they will fix soon.

ICloud pictures not syncing - Shared streams will; camera roll will not

Ever since I got my new iPhone 5c my Camera Roll will not sync with my computer. The shared streams will sync, the pictures will sync with my other devices just not the computer.
I have tried untinstalling the icloud from the computer and reinstalling, I have signed out and back in on both the computer and iPhone, I just cant figure it out.
Has anyone else had this happen?
PLEASE HELP!!

Similar issues, although maybe not quite as catastrophically bad. I've got a Mac Mini, an iMac, and an MBA, all running Yosemite, an iPhone 6, and an iPad 3 (both iOS devices are running iOS 8). The iOS devices seem to sync okay with changes made on the Mini, and vice versa, but the iMac doesn't seem to be syncing at all with the other devices, nor does the MBA. Based on the original post, I'm not going to bother calling Apple and spending an entire workday trying everything short of replacing the main logic board to try to figure out the problem.
What's particularly annoying is that Yosemite just went through an extended beta period. Unfortunately, there was no equivalent beta program for iOS 8, so there were probably plenty of areas where Apple simply did not do sufficient QC in an area where things need to work flawlessly: file management. Some of the files I keep on iCloud are hundreds of pages long, and the notion that they may become lost or corrupted gives me chills. Apple advertises iCloud Drive as a way to safely and reliably work on your files on multiple devices. So far, it is neither.

Scrolling through Camera roll is not smooth after iOS 5 update

Hi,
I have a little problem with my iPod touch 4th gen after the iOS 5 update - the scroll through Camera roll is not running smoothly.
When scrolling to earlier photos, it gets stuck for a second and then scrolls again, gets stuck and then scrolls.
It can get quite irritating when trying to view earlier photos....
I'd appreciate any help.

That's the way it works. Only photos added to the camera roll after turning on photo stream are uploaded.

RESOLVED!!! I logged on to my Straight Talk online account, and did a Tech Chat. They immediately gave me a direct phone number and a Reference PIN number and asked me to contact their iPhone specialty support. I called (of course the gentleman's accent was very difficult for me to understand, but managed with asking continually for clarity). He walked me through several tests, setting changes and had me get on my wifi to obtain the latest APN settings. None of his efforts worked ad it was obviously NOT my Straight Talk iPhone 5, 64GB CDMA (no SIM) - it was something with their setting on their end on my account. I was placed on hold a few times and he would come back on to have me try to get on Safari and even Google... after the 3rd on-hold, he returned and asked me to try to use my data again without the wifi turned on and BINGO it worked... I still do not have my wifi turned on and I'm still receiving texts from YESTERDAY too while I was away from wifi service. IF you come across this issue - please call Straight Talk and/or log on to your Straight Talk online account and talk to an online customer service representative and get their direct line phone number for iPhone support and have your Reference PIN number available. Camera Roll will not open

Hello!.
The other day I took a picture of my dog, and after I took the picture the lense would not open back up. I tried turning off my phone but it wouldn't let me do ANYTHING, so I let it lock itself. I checked after it locked itself, and my camera would open; however, my camera Roll will not open. I tried taking a few pictures and it still won't open. In my camera, the picture in the bottom left if the last picture that I took and I can access the camera roll from there but it is the pictures i took before the one of my dog and they are all blurry!!
I've synced my phone several times, turned off my phone and everything. What do I need to do? HELP PLEASE!!!

There are a couple of things you can try.
1. Try to reset sync history:
-Go to Application
-Open isync
-Next to blue Apple (Top Left of screen) Click on iSync and go to preferences
-In Preferences click on Reset Sync History
Try to sync phone again.
2. If the above steps did not work try this.
-Go to applications
-Open Image Capture
-Next to Blue Apple, click on image capture
-Go to Preferences
-At the top of the page you will see - When a camera is connected: Open
-Make sure the drop down menu shows iPhoto

IPhone camera roll does not sync with iPhoto

Around 1/2 of my pictures in my camera roll folder on my iPhone 5S are missing in iPhoto. For example: I have photos until April 2014 that are sync'ed and then a gap until October 2014. How come iPhoto does not import all my photos as a standard? I cannot be related to dates as there are a mix of old and new.

Make sure that you are using a apple charger or transferring charger. Then unplug the charger from both things plug it back in. If that does not work then unplug again and restart.iPhone camera roll does not sync with iPhoto
