Photostream not loading on my PC - Norton?

We have multiple apple devices, and the photostream is working on all of them. Photos are syncing, loading, etc.
I cannot access my photosteam on my PC.
I am running Windows Home 7, and Norton AntiVirus, etc.
I have installed, removed, reinstalled the iCloud app. No luck. Tried the "repair" function in the control panel... that also didn't work.
I am getting desperate - I really need access to those photos.
I am trying to figure out how to disable the Norton firewall for iCloud... I tried it, but it doesn't seem to work - I'm wondering if it takes a while to synch my photos.
Any ideas???

For many people, logging out of the iCloud Control Panel and relogging in seems to have worked. Let me know if this helps you.

  • Entire Photostream not loading onto iPhoto '11?

    I just bought a new MacBook Pro, and after activating Photostream on iPhoto, not all photos are being displayed on it (iPhone says 770 photos are on the stream, but iPhoto only shows 183). Is there a way to get all of them onto my Mac? It isn't a problem of pre-photostream photos not showing up, it's the photos already in the cloud.

    This is my understanding...
    iCloud's photo stream only keeps photos up to 30 days before removing them.  The photo stream albums on devices or computers that do get photos from the stream will keep them there.  But if you turn off the stream on a device and then on again, only the current photos in iCloud's stream will download. 
    There can be a difference between photos store in icloud's stream servers and photos viewed on a device's photo stream album.

    i've got a problem on my MacBook Air 13" 2011 which I can't solve by myself.
    I also did a lot google action but it won't let me figure out, why my photostream is not loading in iPhoto '11
    I deleted the picture-libary, I deleted every data which contains 'iPhoto' in the Data-Name in the Libary Folder. I deinstalled iPhoto '11 multiple times from the Mac App-Store.
    And yes it is up to date.
    I also deactive and activate iPhotostream in iCloud.
    Can anyone help me?

    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

    Having installed OSX Leopard on my MacBook. Nortons Anti Virus 10.0 displays the ERROR MESSAGE Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect could not load the scan engine. Please run live update to get the latest version.(Code:6).

    Itunes 7.0.2 will not load on my son's laptop. When look in Task manager ITUNES.exe appears for few seconds, doesn't open though before disappearing from task manager list. No error message. Tried uninstalling and re-installing but no change. Norton Int security 2004 installed and running.

    Yes, exactly the same thing happens when we sart the Quicktime. It appears in Task Manager for a few seconds then disappears without opening.
    hmmmm. you're not reporting the classic symptom of what i'm thinking about (a quick flash of an itunes screen when you launch that, and a quick flash of a QuickTime screen when you launch that), but we'd better check for a Qoologic adware infestation on your PC.

  • Windows XP, will not load past blue error screen

    Hi, been wondering for a while if anyone can help me...
    My xp system will not load past the blue error screen which appears after the computer has shut down suddenly or improperly.
    Regardless of what actions you choose to take (safe mode, most recent settings...etc) the system simply goes past the blue screen, onto the windows logo loading page, where the loading bar moves for around 10 seconds, before returning back to the blue loading page.
    So far I have tried leaving the computer for as long as a month unused whilst I was abroad, removing the battery for various amounts of time, and leaving the computer running for as long as a day.
    In the absence of a recovery disk, I have no idea how to get it back to form, and would welcome any hints or suggests, bearing in mind I am no computing genius (If you had'nt guessed). Preferably, without loosing my irreplacable pictures and videos stored on the hard drive, however that is only preferably,

    Hi Jay,
    i know what it's like to not able to boot even into safe mode command prompt.
    In your case I would do either of below:
    Download a bootable CD ISO called "HDD Regenerator" or [Hiren's BootCD|www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd] which includes many other great tools. Burn the ISO image onto CDR.
    1. Use the HDD Regenerator to boot the PC and use it to scan the whole HardDrive from 0, it will scan and fix all the bad sectors which may cause Windows failing to boot as systems files are corrupted. You will be suprise how great this tool can fix bad sector HDs.
    2. If above does not work, the the Hiren's BootCD to boot the PC, navigate to Symantec Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image to Clone you hard drive, you can use USB external harddrives.
    Then you can rebuild the PC with second partition large enough to store the HardDisk-IMAGE, use Ghost Explorer/etc to restore your personal files.
    I have been dealing with lots of this issues as well. Let me know if you need more help.

    In the end I found a software conflict with Speedbit's SpeedOptimizer v2.xx   aka  SPO.exe in my taskmanager's process list.
    I found that by watching Norton Firewall complain about stuff while running in ADVANCED mode.

  • Facebook/Twitter DO NOT LOAD TEXT/IMAGES correctly in Windows 8 in ANY version of Firefox

    The title sums it up nicely. I bought a new laptop 2 days ago and Facebook and Twitter do not load correctly in Firefox (ANY AND ALL VERSIONS - I have been installing/uninstalling/reinstalling nonstop like a maniac). They load in every other browser just fine.
    Basically what happened is I installed Firefox on the new laptop (first thing I did), loaded Facebook and Twitter for the first time, and once I closed those pages and re-opened them, they started to appear with the text flush to the left and without some images. Almost looks like a part of the CSS code is missing.
    I have tried ALL of the solutions posted on these support forums. None of them are permanent
    Clearing my cookies/cache IS NOT an adequate solution. It works for the first time and then I have to do it every time I close and re-open FB/Twitter. Since the entire Windows 8 O/S concept is based on the "social experience," this seems somewhat ironic. Either it's a problem with my new laptop but I doubt it, as I said before, every other browser and webpage work fine.
    My conclusion is there's a problem between Firefox/Windows 8/Facebook and Twitter. If someone could just confirm or shed some insight to development problems or suggest permanent fixes, that would be greatly appreciated and save me a lot of headache. As it stands, I'm about to throw this laptop out the window. >_> I'm very much not impressed with the hassle this transition has been.
    Google Chrome has always been a close second to Firefox in my eyes and it looks like I'll have to switch over, despite the fact the former does not have a customizable bookmark toolbar.

    I changed a setting in Firefox and it seemed to have solved my problems. Since CTRL+F5 seemed to work as a quick fix, that told me it was something to do with the cache.
    My browsers on my old laptop had never had their cached cleared (I have a problem deleting things :P).
    Go to Tools --> Options --> Network and under Cached Web Content, your cache may be set to 350mb just like mine was in my new Firefox. I had a moment of clarity and thought, "maybe since my computer is so new, I haven't browsed enough to fill my cache with information from various different sites, as opposed to just Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube."
    So I ticked the box "override automatic cache management" and set it to 0mb.
    Ever since then, I've had no problems with browsing (in Firefox, haven't attempted anything else since the problem was fixed immediately).
    I know nothing about caches and whatnot, but with the limit set to 0, I believe this is forcing the browser to reload a new page from scratch EVERY time since I have not allowed *anything* to be saved to memory.
    Hope this helps, please let us know if it works for you as well. I know I was experiencing massive buyer's remorse for days because of this problem.

  • Scripting elements do not load in browser

    Half the navigation elements are invisible in both IE8 and Firefox (I can hover over an empty space - text box tells me what is there and I can click and go the page).
    Error messages come up with something like "element missing line {;) - this page may not display properly (I think it is not loading jscript}.
    I have cleared the cache in IE, updated java and directx, checked all the right boxes are clicked in the Java console, downgraded my hardware acceleration.
    I have disabled Zone alarm and turned off the Windows firewall, and downgraded the security settings in IE.
    Any idea what is going on?
    Could it have had something to do with my installing and uninstalling Virtual Box v.3. I also find that System restore won't complete.

    are you using any anti-virus-software like e.g. norton ?
    if you define rules that ignores some scripts and/or content on a website this rules allways block them.
    even when the browser is an open door anyway.
    zonealarm ist a powerful tool, once content is blocked you have to modify your setting IN this software,
    disabling is not the way to success - some resident modules do their job even when the main window of the software is disabled.
    uninstalling could lead you to success.
    try a different browser loke firefox.
    maybe there is a script blocker installed in IE?

    I have the same problem and have been fighting with it for several days. I think the last thing that I did before this happened was to let Quicktime update itself. When I open itunes and click on store, the connecting bar gets halfway and then stops. That leaves me with the white store page, if I leave it alone for a bit, I see words as in names of singers and but no pictures.
    I have ran the diagnostics and see no problems at all, no event logs in windows, no errors at all. I've un-installed itunes and re-installed but no change. I'm using Norton 360 from comcast. I have windows 7 pro 64 bit. Also, the help in itunes doesn't display.
    I put in a ticket with apple and the response I got back basically told me to do what I've already done. I created a new user and have the same issue.
    Any help at all will be very much appreciated. I think this started August. 8, 2011.

Checked the network speed and it is between 0 and 1 ms response. This problem just started last week. Only new software introduced recently was update to Norton 360.

    I know very little about windows but security software is notorious for causing the type of problem you have, you may want to contact Symentec and ask them which settings you need to change.

  • Help with 10.5 please, running windows 7, store will not load

    I have searched here and seen others having this issue also but I see no fix that has worked for me.
    Installed 10.5 because I am getting an Iphone 4.  Itunes opens but the store will not load.  Starts to loads and then just sits.  I did the command prompt DNS flush fix, shut down and it did not work. 
    Any suggestions for me?  Running Norton for antivirus.  I have not seen anybody on here saying that is a problem.  We have another computer running windows 7 and Norton and 10.5 is fine on that computer.

    Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.
