Photostream not syncing with iMac

I was wondering i have photo stream enabled on i cloud and i photo and its still not working ,is there a simple solution that i am missing ?it works with ipad and iphone what am i doing wrong

Please look over the iCloud Setup Instructions and see that you have it set up correctly. Also please complete your profile (look under Your Stuff) in order to get assistance we at least need to know what equipment you have and the OS version you have on them.
Also you don't make any mention of using an IOS 5 device such as a iPhone, this is the minimum needed in order to make Photo Stream work.
Finally there is an iCloud forum, you also may want to post there.

HT201077 photostream not syncing with IPAD and Iphone

After update on 10/11 my mac computer is not syncing with the photos in photostream which have been taken with IPad2 and Iphone 4s that were taken since the 11th. The iphone and the ipad are sync'd together.

Go to the System/iCloud preferenc pane and uncheck Photo Stream and then re-check it.
Then go to iPhoto's Photo Stream preference pane and uncheck all radio buttons checked and then recheck them.

"sent" email on iPad (Google) not syncing with iMac

Lately, when I send email on my iPad (Gmail) it does not sync with the "sent" mail on my iMac. (The "sent" box is not synched on both devices.) Funny... I get the "response" or "inbox" on both devices, but not the "sent" mail. Everything else seems to be synched.
STATUS: iPad1 with latest iOS. iMac with latest ML OS. I have both talking to iCloud.
Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem?

Are you trying to sync via iTunes? If so, note that since the release of Mavericks (OS X 10.9) syncing contacts and calendars to a Mac via iTunes is no longer supported. The currently supported method is via iCloud. http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/

IPad Notes App. not syncing with iMac

I just set up my new iMac and began to sync my iPad (3rd Gen.) to the iMac over the iCloud with WiFi enabled. Seems like everything syncs except for the Notes App. on the iPad. When I open Notes on my iMac, I see "updating" listed on the title bar of Notes but nothing happens. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I was having the same problem with Notes not syncing. I also got duplicate notes. I found that spryt's solution fixed my syncing problem and signing in and out of icloud on my local devices finally fixed the duplicating notes problem. I am not using a networked home directory. Using Mavericks OS and believe the problem started with the upgrade.
I did notice one peculiarity: on my iMac, it shows that I'm syncing notes to "All [email protected]". However, on my Macbook Pro, Notes shows I'm syncing to "All icloud". I tried to change my iMac to "All icloud", but I can't seem to find that preference. I hope they are one and the same.
Syncing is almost instantaneous across devices including iphone and ipad now. If I find that I encounter any more problems, I'll update this thread.

Photostream Not Syncing With Windows 8.1

Photostream hasn't synced with my Windows 8.1 pc since March 21st. I have working wi-fi, Photostream and My Cloud are both checked within iCloud options yet I'm not getting pictures on my pc.

Not working for me either, for quite a few months (currently using iCloud 4.0.2). I've tried all the documented remedies - reinstalling apple software / stopping iCloud processes / disabling photostream sync then re-enabling / etc., etc. Sometimes after doing one of these, a few recent photos will appear in my photostream folder here on Windows 8.1, but then no further syncing happens. It just appears to be completely broken, at least for me.

OS7 updated phone not syncing with iMac

My iPhone 4S is no longer syncing with my imac after upgrading to OS7. When pluging in phone I get a iTunes error message saying that iPhone iTunes needs to be updated to 11.1. My phone tells my that all of my software is up to date...as it should be after the OS upgrade. Any thoughts?

Which version of Outlook do you have? It's possible there is an incompatibility.

Mail on iphone not syncing with imac

If I'm on my iphone and see unread messages, mark them as read, or delete or whatever, it does the same on my iMac.
If I'm on my iMac and do the above, they don't sync on my iphone. So daily I have unread messages that I manually have to delete on my iphone. ANNOYING!
Is there a fix for this?
I have the push features turned on. I just don't get how it works one way but not both ways.

AFTER I asked the question, then the answer presented itself in a list of previously asked questions! (And I had looked before too.) It involves "Signing Out" of iCloud with the iMac, and with the iPhone. Then I signed in again. It was scary (took a long time) getting the mail loaded again, but it seems to be working now.

IPad 3 not syncing with iMac properly

I have recently bought the new iMac and whenever I sync my iPad 3 it won't transfer new apps from the iPad, and also if I have updated apps on the iPad it won't then transfer this across to the iMac even though my iPhone 4S will. Any ideas?!

Desktop manager for Mac not syncing with iMac

Tried this earlier in the year and lost all contacts out of my Blackberry Tour. Tried again today and DM for Mac doesn't recognize any of the iCal calendars I have on the iMac and gives me a sync error when trying to sync Addressbook.
Running OS 10.5.8 on iMac; v5.0.0.732 on Tour.

Can you clarify what the error message is that you're receiving?
Also what version of BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac are you currently using? To download the latest software go to: www.blackberry.com/desktop
Also have you tried to Forget Device and then re-setup the synchronization with the BlackBerry. Go to Device>Forget Device at the top of BlackBerry Desktop Software.

Sent email not syncing with imac

I have an imac , iphone 5 and an iPad which I use hotmail on - Everything works fine apart from if I send mail on my ipad or iphone the mail does not appear in my sent mail on my imac - Do I need to adjust my settings somewhere ?

First check if hotmail does imap. I don't know but a simple google search should turn up a yes or no. Then I'm not sure if you can just change the present account from pop to imap or if you have to create a new account. Imap settings or different from pop in certain areas like the ports used and security settings.
Doing a google search for hotmail it seems it has gone from hotmail to live to outlook.com. Not sure outlook.com does imap but there is a section in the mail contacts and calendars section of system preferences for ms exchange which is what outlook.com uses, if I recall correctly.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

Ipod Touch will not sync with home iMac but can with other macs

My daughters iPod Touch will not sync with her iMac anymore.
It will with my MacBook Pro but not with her iMac.
We are both running Snow Leopard.
Is there a toggle or setting that needs to be changed.
I've looked but no joy.

Ok, here's what seems to have worked....but will need to monitor to see if this stays "stable".
1) As suggested by King_Penguin in another Discussion thread [apple support > iPad > Using iPad > Discussions] (https://discussions.apple.com/message/15911962#15911962), I turned off iPhoto startup on the iPhone. Then ejected iPhone from USB.
2) Reconnected iPhone via USB. iTunes did not start up. Started up iTunes manually. Went to Summary page for iPhone, unchecked the "open iTunes" option, selected APPLY button. Let iTunes run its application process.
3) Then checked the "open iTunes" option. Selected APPLY button. Got a dialog box asking if I wanted "iTunes Helper" to be installed; selected YES. Let iTunes run its application process. Ejected iPhone. Closed out iTunes. Reconnected iPhone via USB. AND iTunes STARTED UP AUTOMATICALLY (yay!). Let iTunes do some backup and sync'ing. Ejected iPhone. Closed out iTunes.
4) Connected iPad via USB (on computer). AND iTunes STARTED UP AUTOMATICALLY (yay!).
I don't know for sure that the iPhoto "automatic launch" was causing the interference, but it seems like the "uncheck/check" the "open iTunes" option seemed to re-set the problem that I encountered. I don't want to say for sure that this issue is fixed, but it appears to be under control for the moment.
Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and assistance. Maybe this info will help someone else out now that it's in the forums/discussions.
