  • Photostream not working on my iPad 3 after turning on icloud

    Hi All,
Can someone help to identify my issue with photostream not working on my ipad 3 even after turning on icloud on the device? Both my iphone and mac bk pro are working working well on the other hand with photostream. Can someone advise... thanks

When you take a picture with your iPhone, does it appear on your iPad?

  • Why is photostream not working together with my macbook and iphone?

Photostream is not working togther with my macbook and iphone. How can I sync it?

    Has it ever worked?
If you recently turned on photo stream on the mac and iphone, then (on the iphone) only new photos are included in photo stream, old ones are not.
But syncing to your mac (if the photos originate from the iphone) is critical.  That's how you store photos (they can easily disappear on the iphone due to many "issues" that can occur, and relying on an icloud backup is not safe - to many users have lost some/all their photos when doing a restore.
So be sure to begin by doing a sync to the mac using itunes/iphoto with a USB cable.

  • IPhoto 9.3.2 Photostream not working

    Hello.
I purchased the Mountain Lion and updated the iPhoto to its lastest version, 9.3.2, and every photo taken from my iPhone after that did not get streamed to the iPhoto on my Mac. The photos did make to my iPad, suggesting that the photostream does work, it's just not working with the lastest iPhoto. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

For some reason this didn't work for me. I had iPhoto closed, I unchecked and rechecked the setting in System Preferences however iPhoto is still asking me to turn on Photostream in iCloud when it IS turned on!!! I tried rebooting various times, I have the latest version of Mountain Lion and iPhoto, too.
What other solutions could be available?

  • Photostream not working on PC icloud for windows

Since the ios8 update and the icloud for windows update at the same time, I can not get photostream to work on my PC.  I have tried all the tips I've found so far-signing out and back in, doing a repair, completely deleting and reinstalling, turning photostream on/off on my phone, and so on.. Sometimes when I do some of these things, a photo or two will be uploaded, but never have I simply taken a picture and it uploaded to photostream on my computer. Now it seems even doing these tricks won't add any new photos. Any tips that  I am missing? Anyone else having this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Same here.
I've always struggled to get iCloud to work reliably. After removing the iCloud software over 12 months ago, I thought it might be worth another try with the latest version. But, only four pictures were downloaded before it gave up the ghost.
I'm using Windows 8.1 (32 Bit) on my desktop and Windows 7 Starter on my Netbook. Same problem on both operating systems.

  • Photostream not working on iPad3.

On my iMac the Photostream monthly folders reside in the Aperture application. I dragged some edited photos into the August Photostream folder on my iMac, but they do not show up in Photostream on my iPad3. Both devices have iCloud turned on. I do not understand why Photostream is not working between the two devices.

Be sure you use the same Apple ID and the WiFi is working fine.
Go to Settings > iCloud > Photostream, turn it Off and On.
Be sure your iPad has more then 25% battery and let the iPad sleep for a while.

  • Photostream not working on iPhone 4, but works on iPad and macbook pro

    Hi there,
I've read in the community there have been similiar problems with photostream, and been going trough various answers. None have been helpful unfortunately.
I have photostream working on my iPad 2 (via 3G) and Macbook Pro. But can't get it to work on my iPhone 4 (also on 3G).
Anyone who have had the same problem who can help me here?
    Regards, e.
ps. Read that photostream works only on WI-Fi... but how come it works on my iPad via 3G in that case? And I connect my macbook online via internet tethering trough my iPhone.

    Hello Matt,
It sounds like you are not able to access iTunes from your iPhone 4 using Home Sharing, but you can from your iPad.  I found an article with steps that I think would help with this issue.
I recommend reviewing the full article below, but I think steps 4-7 are specifically useful for what you described:

  • Photostream not working - two iphones, one itunes account, two icloud accounts

    Hello,
My wife and I both have iphones (both 4s). I have had mine for some time and she got hers last week.
We have one itunes account. We have two icloud accounts.
We cannot get shared photostreams to - my phone will not receive invites from hers. It works the other way round though.
All the settings are correct and switched on.
Please don't send me to the FAQ page as I have tried everything on there to no avail
    Thanks
    Matt

The quickest and easiest thing to do is take the desired iPhone and connect it to the desired iTunes account. This most likely will erase and data on the iPhone and replace it with the data from the itunes account it is connected to.

  • ICloud backups and Photostream not working

My iCloud backups do not appear to be happening correctly. When I first started using iOS5, I had no problem. Both my iPad1 and iPhone4S were backing up nicely to iCloud, and Photo Stream was working correctly. I used my usual Apple ID with iCloud, and have never had a Mobile Me account.
I also have a MacBook Air, which was running Snow Leopard. I then upgraded to Lion. I'm not sure, but it may have been shortly after this that I began to have problems with iCloud (or maybe I am getting my dates mixed up). I enabled Photostream on iPhoto too, shortly after I upgraded.
On both my iPhone and iPad, when I go into Settings/iCloud/Storage & Backup and check my storage details, it was showing that I had not had not backed up in some time. When I click the "back up now" button (while plugged into power and wifi on), it starts to do a manual backup, and appears to start backing up. A little bit of the blue status bar shows, and it says "estimated time remaining…." but never actually shows a time remaining, and after a while just errors saying "There was a problem completing the backup. Please try again later".
The odd thing is, when I hook my devices up to my MacBook, and view them in iTunes, on the "summary" tab (I have "backup to iCloud" ticked) and it DOES give a recent last backed up time. There is a disconnect between what iTunes is saying, and what the devices show. I'm really not sure if my data is getting backed up or not to iCloud! As a precaution, every so often I am switching iTunes back to backing the devices to the MacBook, so at least I am maintaining backups there. Once done, I flick back to the "backup to iCloud" setting.
Through trial and error, I have figured out that the "last backed up to iCloud" time shown in iTunes is a time I have manually tried to do a backup on the iDevice, even though the device itself does not say a backup was completed successfully. If I try to do a "sync" manually via iTunes on the MacBook, it seems to sync and transfer music/photos etc, but the "last backed time" in iTunes does not change.
Photostream has also stopped working. Although it did not stop working at the same time as the iCloud backups, it seemed to be gradual. It started by not synching all the new photos between devices, then just the occasional photo, and now nothing.
To fix the problem, I tried deleting iCloud from both my devices, and switching it off on the MacBook, for a day (including deactivating Photostream). When I went to enable it all again on all the devices, in the hope it would properly start backing up, it just reverted to the old state with the previous symptoms.
I have searched various help forums, but I have not seen anyone else report that iTunes says iCloud backups worked, but on the iOS5 devices is says they are not updating.
Suggestions? How can I get iCloud working correctly, including Photostream?
I had plans to subscribe to the iTunes Match service, but I don't want to pay the money if I am going to continue to have synch/backup issues and it causes problems with match.

I'm havnig a similar problem but just with photos. I have Photostream turned on on both my iPad and iPhone 4S but when I get to a Wifi environment and try to get the photos from my iPhone to upload onto the iPad through iCloud, nothing happens. I have both devices unlocked, I've checked both have Photostream turned on, but nothing. Any ideas?

  • ICloud Photostream not working with Windows 7 or 8.1

Since iOS8 came out, my Windows PC's have not been working with the iCloud Photostream. I have gone through 4.0 - 4.0.2 now, with no success. I have tried all the supposed fixes. My MAC works fine updating, but not any of my PC's. I just can't make the Photostream update as it used to. The idea was to Sync all pictures from my iPhone across all devices, not just the Apple ones. Does anyone have any suggestions?

This has been driving me nuts for several months now and no one seems to have an answer.

  • Photostream not working on my mac

Photos from my iphone sync to the cloud and to my ipad, but not my mac.  I have turned photostream on and off, but that doesnt seem to work,  I am running Mountain Lion and the latest version of iPhoto.
I have rebooted, etc.  Is there any other way to restart photostream besides turning it on or off.  I am comfortable doing things in Terminal.
    Thanks

    Give this a try:
NOTE: In Lion, Mountain Lion and Mavericks the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
For  Mavericks, 10.9,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
Then you can open the Library/Applications Support folder via the Finder as youi would to any Folder and drag the iLifeAssetManagement folder to the Trash.

  • Upload in Photostream not working

I have just installed the iCloud control panel on Windows 7 and setup Photostreaming. My photos are downloading to the Download folder on my PC from the cloud, but the photos on my PC are not uploading from my Upload folder to the Cloud.  There is no error, no status.. nothing.. they just don't upload.  How do I tell what the problem is?

Same problem. iPad 3, iPhone 4, iOS 6.0.1
Photos from Uploads on PC go to the folder //PhotoStreamsData/ANONYMOUS/100APPLE on iOS devices and My photo stream folder on PC.
Photos made by iPhone (iPad) go to the folder //PhotoStreamsData/404188021/100APPLE and work fine.
Tried reinstall, reset, hard reset, recover device.

  • Photostream not working on MBP

have 7 photos on my iphone photostream,  when i turn on photostream on mbp, iphoto says says updating, transferring,  then no photos show up,
if i add photos to MBP iphoto, they  show up on iphone photo stream, but onece again iphoto photostream says "no photos ..."

Some folks have fixed this by deleting any references to MobileMe in SystemPreferences.
No one is "rushing to Apple's defense." Apple is quite large enough to defend itself, I reckon. However, the fact that there are "thousands of complaints" on the internet means nothing. There are thousands of complaints on the internet about Apple Keyboards, the icons used in the Interface, the brightness of the screens and just about anything else you can imagine. The internet is a noisy place. Not all of it makes sense: ".. about iCloud which was supposed to rescue Apple from its disasterous launch of "mobile me" " is an excellent example. In what way was iCloud "supposed to rescue Apple"? Since the launch of MobileMe Apple has grown exponentially and is now one of the two most valuable corporations in the world. That we should all need such rescuing! And who said it was "supposed to" do this rescuing? Did Apple say it? No, just some blogger somewhere. Finally, before declaring it "just doesn't work", you'll need to explain the millions of people with no problems. Oh, and your own description which tells us that it does work, but switches off sometimes.
