Photostream skips random pictures

I'm trying to help a friend figure out a problem he's having with Photo Stream, but I'm not finding anything about other people having a similar issue. So I'm hoping someone here might have some insight.
Basically he upgraded both his iPhone 4 and iPad 2 to iOS 5 and started using iCloud and Photo Stream. For the most part its working fine. But the problem is that sometimes, random new pictures from his iPhone seem to get skipped when they're being pushed to his iPad. Most of the complaints in reading seem to be from people who can't get it to work at all, but in this case it's working as it should except that maybe 1 out of 20 pictures randomly fail to show up on his other devices.
I was just wondering if anyone else was having similar issues and might know what would cause it to skip random photos like that..

I've got a similar problem (the other way round). Photos added to iPhoto's Photostream get pushed to my iPhone 3GS, but never all of them and always different amounts. Switching Photostream off and on again, I get 7 out of 10 pictures, off on again, I get 2 out of ten, etc.
I am still working on it, so can't tell you yet how to fix this.
PS. The Apple TV doesn't get any so far and iPhoto failed (DNS/network error) to upload some before turning it off and on again finally solved it for iPhoto.

Several of our iPhone users in the UK reported the problem this morning, and as the Apple fan in the office I've got the job of resolving the issue
The original Excel was an old .xls file, but I have saved it as a .xlsx and the problem still appears
I haven't spoken with our developer yet, but I assume he has created the Excel file using some programming tools rather that directly using Excel
In the meantime I have created a simply spreadsheet with 8 cells contain values
In the first 4 cells, I have formatted them using Currency, and have used the currencies USD, DEM, GBP and CHF
In the remaining cells I have formatted them using the Accounting option, using the same currencies
When I review the spreadsheet on the iPhone (or iPad), the first 4 remain the same yet the last four all show the £ symbol
I have now changed the Region Format of the iPhone to United States, and when viewing on the iPhone the bottom 4 values are now all showing the $ sign!
If I had created the spreadsheet I would have put the Currency code in a seperate cell and purely used a numeric format for the number, and there would be no issue. That might be the only solution
Yes, the Director has the full MS Excel app on his Windows 8 device, but I can't expect all of our clients to go and do the same, in business many of them will have the iPhone
We may have to change the way we produce the report because of Apple's failings here, and it's not the first time that we have had to change something because Apple devices can't display them properly

Sounds like you got a store demo. Look in your settings and see if you see "Demo Mode/Demonstration Mode" or something similar.

Why did random pictures pop up in my iPhone photo album?

Okay so the weirdest most random thing happened. 3 random pictures from a year and 2 years ago popped up out of no where into my photo library. They weren't even pictures I would have saved somewhere. One was a screenshot and 2 were just random accidental pictures. Anyone have an idea why or how this happened?

Your phone may have suffered some sort of directory glitch. If this keeps happening, I suggest doing a reset:
Try this - Reset by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

Very random pictures are red X's

While in DW8 I hit "preivew in browser" and everything looks
great, nothing wrong at all. But when I uploaded my site just
random pictures are red X's. My nav bar is supposed to be a roll
over type but again, when uploaded it "rolls over" to red X's.

Errors like this usually mean you failed to properly define
your site in DW.
Start there. Access DW's Help (F1) and search on "define
site". Read and
follow the directions to correctly define your site. Then you
will have to
re-link all those problem images. HINT: Make certain every
image is inside
your local root folder for the site.

Flickr - would like older random pictures shown

I have Flickr working with my pictures and I can access my albums and there's even one that selects your most recent 500 uploads.
One thing I love about the Apple TV is showing your photos in a screen saver. I have more than 12 years of digitial photography, and it's nice to show some older pictures in the mix. Is there a way to create a dynamic album in Flickr that will pull 500 or so random pictures from across the years and show it via the Apple TV? Or even better a "Random (500)" album option built in.
I could do this manually, but it would be labor intensive and wouldn't refresh automatically over time.
Any ideas?

In NTSC, you can go to .0334seconds
In PAL, you can go to .04 seconds
The above are the length of one frame of video.
The default settings let you edit to .1 seconds.
You can change this in iMovie Preferences by putting a check next to the box that says "Display Time as HH:MM:SS:Frames.
You can do 1 frame, and multiples of one frame, but you cannot do half a frame, so I don't know if you can do exactly .05 seconds.

T5i takes random pictures, please help.

Does anybody have this problem? My T5i takes random pictures. I have a battery grip so not sure if that would cause any issues. Basically, I have my camera on, I take a picture and move camera back to my side and I hear shutter go off. I raise camera up to take a picture and shutter goes off - taking a picture. It happens sometimes not all the time. My battery grip is "OFF" so I know I'm not accidently clicking on the shutter. This is so annoying eerr!! Please help.

As another user had suggested, this may be an issue with third party hardware. We would want to check to see if the issue persists without the third party hardware attached. Also, try another lens on the camera if possible too. This will help us and others, troubleshoot this issue.

In addition to johngrussel's suggestion the delete key by itself will run the Remove from Album comand.
Note that's the delete key with no modifier.Command-delete will delete the version from the project.

No, that's not mirroring. As I said that's basic airplay. Mirroring is an entirely different function.
What model iPod do you have? Mirroring requires an iPod Touch 5th Generation.

Invoice number skipping randomly

Hi All
This is a peculiar problem where internal number range is assigned to invoice and the invoice numbers are skipping randomly. There is no fixed pattern or time for skipping.
What could be the reason? Kindly help.

Whats the object for Invoice number range?. Also do i need to remove the buffering if it exist? what are the effects of removing buffering?
Also should i write to SAP OSS if any note is to be followed for this issue.

ITunes transferring random pictures

OSX:10.7.4
iPhoto: 9.2.3
iTunes: 10.6.1
IOS: 5.1.1
This started to occur after I had used the funtion: cmd+option to rebuild iPhoto library. I had selected all of the options rebuild the iPhoto library.
Since then when iTunes transfers pictures to iPhone, it is transferring random pictures from random events. Within iTunes it is setup to transfer all Pictures.
I'm also seeing some pictures that was taken in portrait mode when transferring to iPhone it is being rotated to landscape mode however in iPhoto, it is portrait.
Also some Events in iPhoto no matter how many times I select to make it a key photo, when it transfers to iPhone, that photo is never set to key photo.

Go to Pictures folder under your profile then right click on iPhoto library > select show contents then delete the folder iPod Picture cache
This resolved my issue.

I downloaded iCloud onto my windows pc. I have an ipad2 and an icloud account. I had to manually add a folder from my pictures(on pc) to the upload of photostream. The pictures r not appearing on my ipad2 . I am sure I turned the settings on the ipad2.

On the iPad tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Photo Stream off then back on then restart the iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Music skips randomly, is there a fix available?

While walking and listening to music, the music starts skipping randomly, even in the middle of a song. Is there a fix for this?

How to rebuild an iPhoto library skipping missing pictures ?

Hi,
I have thumbnails missing in my library for unknow reason.
I have retried several rebuild of thumbnails, library or all check box checked but on rebuild it keeps telling me this pic is missing "cancel or look for"
I would like iphoto stop asking ans simply skip the pictures, I will have no failing thumbnails in that way.
Any ideas ?

Well it doesn't think so, and that's why you have the problem.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Since you have already tried a hard reset, perhaps you could try a full restore of the Nano in iTunes. This process wipes all content from the iPod, resets all settings back to their defaults, and reloads a fresh copy of the iPod's software onto the device. This would rule out the possiblity of data corruption or a software glitch on the device.
