I am working in photshop elements 13 organizer, album view, and would like to resequence (rearrange) the photos shown in the album but am unable to do so. My understanding is that you can click on the phots that you want to move and drag it to a new location within the same album. After i select the photo that I want to move and click on the photo, I get a cirlcle with a diagonal throught it and am unable to drag the photo to its new location. What am I doing wrong? I know this should be a simple thing to do. Thanks

In the Elements Organizer 13
The key to all this is to click on/select/highlight the Album that you have created in Local Albums.
Then make sure that the Sort By: (in the row below the highlighted "Media" header is set for Album Order.
You should see a number at the top left of each of thumbnails.
Then, click on the thumbnail that you want to move, hold down the click, and drag the thumbnail to the wanted new location
in the line up of thumbnails.
Often I had to press down hard on the drag.
Please let us know if that worked for you.
Also, in Edit Menu/Preferences/Keyword Tags and Albums/Enable Manual Sorting Options, I set all for manual.

Can anyone help me print a phot pacage with Adobe Photshop Elements 8?

I am trying to print a picture package with Adobe Photshop Elements 8. The package size is letter (1)5x7 (4) 2.5x3. When I press print, the package is sent to my printer (an HP Photosmart Premium), but it never prints.
My computer shows it is "printing", but it just remains stuck in the que. I cannot even delete or cancel the jammed print job without shutting off the printer, closing the program, and rebooting my computer.
I can print individual pictures with Adobe Photoshop 8 and I can print other pictures and documents from other applications on my computer. So my computer and printer seem to be communicating and functioning correctly except during the use of APE 8.
The problem seems to be a gliche in the adobe program which does not allow me to print photo packages. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Though I can't tell you how to fix your problem, you can use a work-around to print your picture photo.
You can easily save your picture package as a pdf file which you can print at your convience.
install any print-to-pdf application.The application would register itself as a printer and whenever sent a page to print, would convert and save it as a pdf
prepare your picture package and print it using the print-to-pdf application
load the saved pdf file and print it

Yes, Actually was done from an Apple Genius at the apple store, the hard Disk was formatted and then re installed everything from back up.

Photshop Elements Wont Install

Thank you adobe for allowing me to waste a whole lot more time typing out my issue only for you to advise that I need to complete a whole load more details to enable me to post on this "forum". Of course a "forum" is always a useful device to avoid actually providing proper customer support - but here goes (again)...
I have purchased adobe photoshop elements 12 from Amazon. I have tried to install the program at least 3 times. On each occasion an icon appears on the desktop, but when clicked it goes into the windows 8.1 hourglass equivalent which then disappears after a few moments. The program does not open. If I open the program from a picture - 'open with photshop elements 12 editor' - the program opens. But then if I try to print a contact sheet the organiser does not open at all. The open organiser dialogue appears and after a couple of minutes the screen reverts to the state prior to the setting up of the contact sheet and is set for an individual print.
Is this program fit for purpose? If so, how come it doesn't work out of the box? What fixes need to be applied to sort out adobe's incompetence? I have tried copying the cd to the hard drive and installing as administrator - to no avail.
I have tried disabling all services (apart from microsofts) for a clean boot but this seems to be ineffective and in any case I'm not sure which start up services to disable - I have a disk manager etc. In any case a proprietory program should not be so flakey as to be uninstallable without the need for such tricks and so-called work rounds.
So what do the knowledgeable members of this forum suggest for starters?
I've also posted this in the "installation" section but those who have successfully installed the program may also have resolved the issue described.

Sorry you're having problems, but you're not talking to adobe support here. This is the user to user forum and we're just other customers like you.
Did you disable your antivirus/antimalware software and any products from Norton/Symantec during the installation? If not, I would uninstall via control panel and try that.

スポット修復ブラシや、修復ブラシツールでは
ブラシでなぞった部分の回りの画像がなじむように自動的にぼかしがかかってしまったり、
他から画像をコピーしてくるので、写真によってはうまく結果が得られない場合があります。
特に複雑なものが写っている場合は不得意で、空だけや木々、岩肌など
同じようなテクスチャが続くようなものでは効果が現れやすくなります。
修復ツールと似たような機能として「スタンプツール」があります。
こちらのツールは自動的になぞった部分の回りの画像となじませる機能がなく、
他の部分から画像をコピーしスタンプのようにブラシを使って塗りつぶすツールです。
少しずつスタンプツールで消す作業を行うので少し根気がいきますが、
自動的な処理は行われないので、宜しければこちらを試してみてください。
また実際のお写真を添付していただければ消し方などを試せると思います。

Trouble signing in from welcome page of photshop elements 10

I am new to adobe, registered photoshop elements 10 yesterday, I am unable to sign in on the welcome adobe photoshop elements screen that is the first screen you see when start adobe photoshop element 10. It always leads me to an account page asking for my birthdate and a name to use in a photshop.com url. When I give it this it has an error, I have only been able to sign in through other places like here in community. I am running windows xp sp3 and IE 8. Chat support doesn't help me and there are no products updates that I can find. Help, whats wrong?

Thank you for taking the time to help me. It is disappointing that the sign in from organizer and edit are also rendered 'not functional' since they to want to prompt you to use the defunct 'photoshop.com'. I would think that Adobe would issue a ptf to remove this from the sceens, they just sort of leave novices to wonder what in the heck is wrong.. For the benefit of those who would like a quick cut and paste for individual shortcuts to enter the organizer and editor separatly and not use the welcome screen, here are the paths for elements 10 on windows xp, I assume these paths are the same regardless of the operating system and should probably also work on windows 7:
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"

Photshop Elements 8 will not install in Windows 7

I have Windows 7 Home Professional 64 bit. I just bought PS Elements 8 and it does not autorun when you insert the disk. I can not find the setup.exe file. Does anybody know where it is? I have view hidden files turned on.

Yeah, I think it falls into the same category of problems as "not a valid win32 application", "invalid signature", and "unknown publisher" messages ... usually all of which relate to installers getting damaged on the download.
At any rate, I'm glad you got things working again.

Importing from iPhoto into Photshop Elements

I have never had a problem importing images from my iPhoto library into Adobe Photoshop Elements until I installed iLife 08. Now the iPhoto library is greyed out and I can not access my images. I find the image editing facilities of iPhoto good but as a textile artist I have specific needs of Photoshop which straight iPhoto editing does not do. anyone able to help please?

Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit.
If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). This way you get the best of both worlds.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. How come photshop elements 13 organizer will not open.

I have been using element 13 for about a week and last night I tried to open it and the organizer will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled I have shut down all firewall I need some help. Seems the Adobe does not really have much help.

First be sure you are opening the actual .exe/application file for the organizer rather than going through the welcome screen. It will be in either the program files>adobe or your Applications folder on a mac. Try holding down the shift key while opening it to bring up the catalog manager. If that works, select your catalog, then Repair, then Optimize.
