Once asset is created, you cannot change the asset class at all.
Delete the questioned asset with AS06 and create with AS01 again with CORRECT asset class.
In AS06, choose Physically Delete Asset option and SAVE.

Legacy asset deletion after AS91
Hi All,
How to delete few assets after loading thru AS91. ( As 60 records are duplicated Input file issue- Basically I dont want to delete all 9000 records )
Tcode AS06 does not allow me to delete with a message values are there. The SAP message is cryptic and they mentioned use the Transaction to change old asset and then delete - but not mentioned the Tcode.
Tried to delete after deactivation also but didnt work.

First of all tell one thing that does your all assets having values ? If values are there for those assets ,
go to AS92 click on take over values button then make all fields ZERO and save.
Come to AS06 put asset number and select option from Physically delet asset.

no. When you delete an asset you confirm this by choosing the radio-button "physically delete asset" in AS06. What would be the sense to keep the asset in the data storage if you choose to delete it?
If you wanna keep the info, you can retire the asset or set a deactivation date into the master record manually. Then the asset is kept and not deleted.
You cannot conculde that missing asset numbers are the (AS06-) deleted assets in case you use the standard archiving functions. Archiving also (under given prerequisites) deletes assets from database after they are transfered to the archive.

I'm actually not sure about the behaviour of the content tab. As I understood, I must use Total for non-conformed dimensions and detail for conformed, right?
In this case I have:

So, at Asset (FACT) content tab I have to set detail for Asset (DIM) and Person (DIM) and total for Campaign (DIM).
At Campaign (FACT) content tab I have to set detail for Campaign (DIM) and Person (DIM) and total for Asset (DIM).
But at the columns, if I set detail for Campaign(DIM) as total, all the other columns will show only Campaign at content tab. Why is it happening?
My requeriment measure is like:
SUM(CASE WHEN Asset.Date1 BETWEEN Campaign.DateA and Campaign.DateB AND Asset.Product = Campaign.Product and Asset.Status = 'Active' THEN 1 ELSE 0 END)
How can I do this using person as conformed dimension?

I apologize if this has been asked previously with older version, but it
is ages since I have looked at Asset Management from an auditing point
of view.
However I have a client who uses ZEN 7.x for application launching and
deployment, group Policy
We are about to upgrade/migrate them to ZCM 11 and use a few more
features. Such as imaging etc etc.
Currently the customer only has the ZCM 11 version that comes from
previously purchasing ZFD 7.x on maintenance.
Today the customer called me and told me Microsoft had audited them,
which went OK. However what they did realise is that they need to
manage who can run licensed Applications and compliance.
They were looking at a product call Express Software express.com.au.
(Personally I haven't used it) Apparently it can tell you when Something
like Project was opened for Read Only purposes and not to write to..
Questions.. (based on my thinking of ZFD7 and ZAM)
1) With the basic (I don't know the correct name ZENworks 11 Advanced
Edition?) version of ZCM 11 what auditing/asset tools are included if any
2) What are the additional components that are included with Asset
Management, that makes it a worthwhile investment.

Creating Computer CI from Orchestrator
Hello,
I'm attempting to use Orchestrator 2012 SP1 to create a VM based on a SSP Request, then get the MAC of the VM, Once I have the MAC, I would like to add a CI to Service manager with Principal Name and MAC fields populated. I would then like that CI to be
updated when AD,SCOM,SCCM connectors run.
The reason I'm doing this is so MDT 2012 Update 1 can execute a runbook and provide MAC as input. That runbook can then pass back the computer name and other detail required to configure an OS on the VM.
When I manually create the computer object from the Service Manager Console, the connectors update the same object. This works great!
When I use Orchestrator "Create Object", using Computer (Deployed), I can add Principal Name and MAC, but the connectors create a new CI. I believe this is because the object I'm creating is a physical computer. Travis points out in another post

This is where my Orchestrator step falls short.
Any ideas how I can create the Computer CI object through Orchestrator to look the same as when I create it through the SCSM Console?

You need to create a relationship between the windows computer class and the computer (deployed) class. You can use the SC object guid to do that. Be aware of that they aren't related objects, so you need to use the activity "create relationship".
First create a windows computer and then the deployed computer. Use the SC object guid of both objects to create the relation.

Storing Video files in SharePoint 2010
Hello,
We are going to store video files in SharePoint 2010. In total, we may have about 6 GB of files in total in Asset Library. Is it too much? What is the best approach to keep video files in SharePoint? I planned to change upload size, because 50mb is not enough.
The largest file size will be 150 mb.

Maximum file size limit is 2GB per, however that doesnot mean sharepoint will handle it without issues.
I have seen request time out, for files even lesser than 50MB, it is again a big process of changing these settings in IIS and web.config.
You can plan to have smaller files,but better to keep less than 50MB. Even worse if you have enabled versioning to asset library, which will keep increasing everytime the same file is uploaded.
Auditing asset library periodically would also help to plan the growth, to an extent keep the library within few GBs and then plan store space requirement.
Deciding library size will be big process, we have MS suggest 200 GB limit for Content databases, this limit also we need to consider while planning library size

In SharePoint 2007, there are OOB site template for Physical Assets Management, but deprecated since SharePoint 2010.
However, here are some resources for using the template in SharePoint 2010. If you are using SharePoint 2013, please create a site in 2010 version, and use the custom site template solution. Then upgrade to 2013 vision if necessary. For your reference:

Since the template is for 2010, there might be some issue and I cannot tell without pratice. You can also refer to it and create your own site template for physical asset management based on OOB team site.

How to organize assets in Adobe Audition
I've been exporting my Premiere Pro sessions to Audition for mixing and have liked the flexibility of what Audition can do. But I've also been completely baffled by how one organizes assets in an efficient way (such as using folders or bins like in After Effects or Premiere). I'm only editing a :60 trailer and I'm getting lost trying to find the files I need. I can't imagine trying to do audio-post on a short film (or god forbid any kind of feature) if this option doesn't exist. I've googled around and have found people asking this questions since 2009, with none of them answered.
Sometimes this sort of thing happens and I'm pleasantly surprised that there's an easy option I somehow missed.
Often times, I'm convinced that if Adobe built automobiles like it makes software, the cars would have no turn signals or headlights.
I'm afraid we have a "headlight" moment here. Please, someone prove me wrong.
Thanks for any help.Yes, the over-arching project, and the organisation of assets into bins is the making of Premiere. All the audio files I use in my Premiere projects have been edited in Audition, using the round trip method from within Premiere. With care I can put the extracted audio files from Premiere within my Windows folder structure for the video project. Left to itself, Audition puts them in an obscure corner of my User folder within the Windows installation - the last thing I want in there is multi-megabyte audio files.
I have often wondered how you guys who work primarily with audio and no attached video cope with project organisation. Even with my Premiere based use of Audition, a project/"bin" based structure for Audition would be very useful. This is because I extract the audio from all my video files, and then work exclusively in Audition. Finally, when the audio edit is done, I import my nice clean audio files back into Premiere. -
