Physical inventory - Last inventory date
Hi,
We carry out physical inventory using LICC. Two parts were counted on previous day, however when a new list was generated to count parts two parts that were counted previously also appeared in this list.
'Old inventory date' field on table LAGP for these two parts did not get updated either.
Please can anyone let me know whey this could be happening ?
Thanks
Mira
I thought the same thing when i checked quant values in LINV and LAGP.
1. I did find more than one quant for the same material.
2. User did not give any values in LICC except range of material (to include all the parts in given warehouse and storage type), warehouse number and storage typ.
Should not this take into account whatever quants there are in the system ?
I am not IM expert and appreciate your quick reply.
Thanks
Mira

Inventory management and physical inventory data transfer
hi all,
can anyone plz povide me with inventory management and physical inventory data transfer tutorial or link.
points are guarented.
rgdsThe information behind the blue-button for MI34, MI38 (as you mentioned) does not have enough detail. It's basically one-page. Is there another instructional source available? How is the logical file MMIM_PHYSICAL_INVENTORY_DOCUMENTS tied to the physical, can you clarify? Not sure how to determine where the sequential file being processed needs to be located. Thanks!

srisha mandavaHello,

Inventory Management and Physical Inventory Data Transfer
The data transfer workbench is a central transaction for the automatic transfer of data from a legacy system into the ERP system. It offers the tools required for the initial and subsequent data transfer.
The complete documentation about the data transfer workbench is in the SAP Library:
CA - Cross-Application Components -> CA - Data Transfer Workbench
The documentation tells you step by step how to carry out the data transfer, and which object-specific special features you should be aware of.
I hope this helps.
Pl. reward points for useful answers
Thanks & regards,

Last physical inventory report
Is there a report that we can run by plant to show materials and the date of their last physical inventory count? Thanks in advance for your help.
Transaction MIDO.
a last count date can be seen while clicking the button Inventory data for material.
But you can directly monitor the situation via SE16 on table MARD. MARD keeps field last inventory date. -
Last Inventory Date update in Quant
Hi All,
We use Cycle counting in our warehouse and it is triggered by LICC. When a count is performed through LICC, it updates the last inventory date as the last count date.
It also happens that sometimes we count at Bin level, use LI01N and use inventory method as "CC". But after inventory, the last inventory record in the quant is updated with the current record, but the last inventory date is not updated.
Is there a note out there to fix this issue?
Thanks
JithinYes i saw that, but since we are using LI01N with CC method, it should behave the same. I am not questioning what SAP does. It is how theoretically it should have been and how it is not.
On the same note, how is LX26 and LICC different.
You should understand that LI01N + CC and LX26 is cycle counting for storage bin whilst LICC is for quant.
If you are not satisfied with this I cannot help you (I cannot modify SAP and I think none of simple forum members can do this...), please contact SAP AG.

Csaba

Last Software Inventory Date old
We a some machines where the Last Software Inventory date is very old but the HW Inventory date is current. Is there any step by step documentation on troubleshooting this type of problem?
Hi,
Have you enabled Software Inventory in SCCM 2012. (Administration – Client Settings – Default Client Settings / Or whatever Policy you want to use)
Meantime, you have to enable the required Classes for the Inventory.

Last GR Date & Last GI Date of stock in inventory
Hi Gurus,
How can I get last GR date & last GI date from stock in Inventory if i don't have information on batch ?
Is there any standard report in SAP which provide that information ?
Please kindly give advice on this.
Regards,
GunawanHi Gunawan,
Try MB51 for movement type 101 and 601 for the material and Plant combination.
You will get the list of material document list , You can take the Posting date for 101 mvt type as the last GR date
You can take 601 mtvt ype doc date as last GI date.
Reward if useful.
Thx,

Physical Inventory on Back Date
Hi SAP Gurus,
We have a scenario, we have done physical inventory on Ist of this month and we have not updated the physical inventory in the system yet. Many material movement have also been posted since then. Now we want to post Physical Inventory in back date. But when we are posting physical inventory using T-code MI10, system updates inventory in current date. Inspite of mentioning counting date and document date 1.1.08.
What should I do.
Ishuhi,
as u r doing only formality do the following.
simply create an phisical inventor documnet in MI01, and post the same in MI08- (here mention the actual stock physically available) and the posting date should be the date on which u want to be.
*physical inventory document date should be lesser thhan or equal to posting date) -
Inventory - last purchase date
This is my first post, so my apologies if all is not correct.
We were recently taken over and the new owners are trying to put a realistic value on the stock and it has fallen to me to provide the information. I need to ascertain the age of the stock and could do this 2 ways if the information was available:
1. Use the last purchase date to determine how long we have held the stock. Acceptable but the last purchase field in OITM is not the last purchase date. For items it is, for others it is the last stock transaction date and for the rest I have no idea what the date relates to.
2. Use a last transaction date, if only SAP had one. Our old system had this date and it made life very simple.
I can find dates for last issue, receipt and sale but not for production order transactions. If I could then I can get the information merging a few spreadsheets.
A last transaction date must be stored somewhere, maybe in the financials?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Regards
Stewart Clark
We are using 2005 SP1 PL45.Stewart Clark,
To expand on what Petr has mentioned most of the information you are looking for is available in SAP Business One.
The Inventory posting list contains an entry for every inventory transaction that has been processed inclusing Goods Issue, Receipt, Delivery, Production, .....
The table these values are stored is OINM (warehouse journal). If you could manage using SQL you could query this table and get the details you need.
Let me know if you need further assistance with anything to help you move forward
