PI 7.0 Production server restarts automatically

Hi guys,
We have installed and configured correctly a PI 7.0 system on Windows 2003 Standard Edition X64-bit with SQL Server 2005. We are on SP12. Everything, SLD, RFC connections work properly.
The problem is that 4-5 days after the installation the Windows Server restarts automatically in unexpected time during the day (unexpected shutdown), even when anybody doesn't do anything in the system. In the Event Viewer we get the following message/error "System Error: Category 102 EventID 1003". There are no other messages/errors.
This is a production system and we are supposed to go live within the next days! So I need your help ASAP.
Any ideas?
Thank you.
Best Regards.

1) update your network card drivers to the latest  and for all devices including your motherboard chipset drivers.
2) Are you using  ethernet instead of USB?

  • Notify when managed server restarts automatically after a crash.

I am trying to see if there is some way I can be notified (by email) when a managed server a cluster restarts automatically. I am running Weblogic 9.2 on Solaris Sparc 5.10.
I can certainly compare the PIDs of the last and the new JVM but am looking for a slick way to do it especially at the Node Manager level.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
*The server was started in warning mode and the JTA was declared unhealthy. I saw 2 transaction alive for more than 2000 seconds which is uncommon.
*The resource adaptor was started properly.
*We are using file store. But will it make a difference?
    Thanks!

  • Windows 2012 server Restarts automatically

    Hi All,
I have installed Windows server 2012 DataCenter. in my system with configuration of 24GB RAM and core i5 processor with 2TB HDD. I have enabled just Hyper-v on that server and installed Google Chrome browser. When I Login the Physical machine works fine
and it automatically restarts after an hour, then the machine works fine for that day<End of the day, I shutdown the machine>.  When I  Login the Machine next day automatically restarts after an hour.
I have uploaded the file DMP file and Screen shots in the below location. Please help me to solve the problem.

You have not activated the machine.  It sounds like you are running the evaluation copy, and it is working exactly as it is designed.  The evaluation needs to reach out to Microsoft (via the internet) to activate.  Once it activates, it will
run for 180 days.  At that point, it will go back to the running for an hour and shutting down again.  You can re-arm (with access to the internet) the evaluation copy for another 30 days by using slmgr.vbs.  After 30 days, it's back to running
for an hour before shutting down.  You can re-arm an evaluation copy a maximum of three times, giving you a total of 210 days.  That should be sufficient for any evaluation.
If you want to make this into a production machine, you can change it from an evaluation copy to a production copy by activating it with a purchased key.

  • Webi processing server restarts automatically

    Dear all,
My Web Intelligence processing server automatically recycles (restarts)  in ten minumtes even the users are actively accessing the webi reports. Anyone know whether there are any ways to bypass this problem?
(I checked the parameters of webi processing servers and they should not cause the servers to recycle in 10 mins)
    Thanks

Thanks. Does it mean the command line parameter under 'Adapative Processing Server'? i.e., -Xms32m and -Xmx256m in the following text?
    >>>
    "-server" "-Dbobj.javaserver.home=/bi_01/boe31/bobje/enterprise120//java/server" "-Dcom.businessobjects.pjs.common.dir=/bi_01/boe31/bobje/java/lib/" "-Dcom.businessobjects.pjs.conf.file=/bi_01/boe31/bobje/enterprise120//java/server/conf/config.xml" "-Dorg.apache.geronimo.base.dir=/bi_01/boe31/bobje/enterprise120//java/server/platform" "-Djava.io.tmpdir=/bi_01/boe31/bobje/enterprise120//java/server/platform/var/temp" "-Dbusinessobjects.logs.home=/bi_01/boe31/bobje/logging/" "-Xms32m" "-Xmx256m" "-DXorg.apache.geronimo.gbean.NoProxy=true" "-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=false" -jar "/bi_01/boe31/bobje/enterprise120//java/server/bin/boeserver.jar" "-workdir" "/bi_01/boe31/bobje/enterprise120//java/server/work"
    <<<
If this is correct, the maximum value I can set for Xmx is 1024m, i.e., -Xmx1024m.
    Please kindly suggest and comment.
    Thanks

  • Exchange Server 2013 server restarts automatically (The bugcheck was: 0x000000ef (0xffffe00000ee8080, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000)

    Hi,
We have Exchange server 2013 restarting issue.(15.0.847.32)
Found The bugcheck was: 0x000000ef (0xffffe00000ee8080, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000) Event in the logs.
We have performed below steps but still same issue.
    1. We have removed
    Global Override for
ServiceHealthMSExchangeReplForceReboot responder (Reason for this as its not getting disabled)
    2. Created Local Override and set the value to "0" (Disabled)
    Server still restarting.

    Hi,
I have followed above already the problem remain same.
I have disabled Microsoft Exchange Health
Manager Service to monitor till now issue not reported.
Is this best practice to disable the service in these kinds of issues or is there any other way?
Its a workaround that many have used yes.
However, having said that, its not something you want to leave in place.
I would suggest upgrading to at least CU6 or CU7 and if that does not resolve the issue, opening a support case with Microsoft.

  • Exchange Server Restarts Automatically After Configuring Allowed Kerberos Encryption Types

    Hi,
Our Exchange 2013 SP1 servers are installed on Windows Server 2012 R2. After configuring "Network security: Configure encryption types allowed for Kerberos" to AES256_HMAC_SHA1
only. The Exchange Servers began rebooting automatically. But after adding RC4_HMAC_MD5, the issue stopped.
Does this means that Exchange 2013 SP1 requires RC4_HMAC_MD5 as an allowed Kerberos encryption type?

this will help you to understand...

  • IPlanet 6 restarts automatically

    Hi.
I am using iPlanet 6.0. When I try to access a certain screen, sometimes the web server restarts automatically, sometimes it just crashes, and sometimes it works properly. I can't find any error msg logged in the server error log or access log.
Does any one have any ideas as to what might be causing my web server to restart/crash?
    Thanks.

  • Restart Workflow after error in Production Server.

    Hi Experts,
We had a Problem in PO Release in production Server no we have set the release strategy again.
1)Can i Restart the Workflows from that date so that the PO which where in error will work with the new release strategy ?
    2) T code to Restart WF after Error is SWPR Right ? or should i Use SWPC
    3) Please tell me where to find WorkItem ID
    Regards,
    Hari

    Hi,
if you know for what Key id you had wflow errored out, you can find it. FOr example, any invoice, Notification, etc., go to that document or notification, and click on the "Services for Obj" icon and go to workflow--->wflow over view. THis is how you get to the wflow log. And in that, youcan choose the Technical Details view which gives you the witem id.
Instead, you can use SWI6 and give the BO and exact key and you will get to wflow log..Or you can use Txn SWI2_DIAG..
    Hope this helps

I am using iPlanet Web Server 6.0 SP1 with weblogic app server ( no LDAP ) to host a website on Windows 2000 machine. I have two virtual server instances of iPlanet. The one that is configured for SSL, gets restarted automatically. I get following error in event log of system or error log of that instance.

    The ACL entries are OK.
Could anybody please help me out?

The error message states that the server denied access to a client who was trying to access D:/iPlanet/Servers/docs/web/index.html. • How to get Mavericks server that is connected to a UPS to restart automatically after a power outage.

This is driving me crazy. Is there anyone running Mavericks as a mission critical server on Backup Power Supplies that has a way to get the servers to restart automatically after a power outage. The UPS vendors all have software for Windows, but not Macs, and the setting in System Preferences, doesn't work with the UPS's Iv'e tried (2 different APC models (Smart and Back-UPs), one Triplite (Smart) and one CyberPower, (all claiming to be Mac compatible))

APC do apparently still do a command-line daemon (PowerChute Network Shutdown) which monitors over the network the UPS and will cleanly shutdown the Mac. For lower-end UPS devices these are typically connected via a USB cable and the built-in Apple System Preferences let you control the options - if it is a model supported. There is however a big limitation of using a USB connection which is that you can only connect a single computer to a UPS via USB and of course most companies have multiple servers.
It maybe that what is happening even if you use APC's software is the following -
    Power failure detected by UPS
    Signal sent to Mac
    Computer does a clean shutdown
    Power restored
UPS has no way to tell Mac because it is shutdown and Mac does not support 'Wake on LAN' if fully shutdown
The Mac does have an option to 'Startup automatically after a power failure'. However this might only take place if the Mac is not cleanly shutdown, it could be that if the Mac is cleanly shutdown it does not count this as a power failure. If this is correct then there is nothing that can be done as users to resolve this, the only way it could be resolved would be if Apple provided a way for a tool like APCs software to both do a clean shutdown and set a flag as this being due to a power failure so that when the Mac does detect the power being restored it triggers the Mac in to booting.
In the dim and distant past when Macs used ADB to connect keyboards and mice the ADB interface did support an external power-on signal. This does not exist for USB.
Personally I have regarded the APC software (PowerChute Network Shutdown 3.0.1) to be so badly supported and so old as to be too risky to use. It lists 10.7 and 10.8 but not 10.9 and uses Java 1.6 which itself is unsupported. There is a third-party tool you might want to look at called NUT (Network Ups Tools) see http://www.networkupstools.org
NUT is free and lets you do clever things like -
Connect a single computer via serial or USB to the UPS
Act as a 'server' over the network to other computers sharing the UPS
When power failure is detected the NUT 'server' sends a signal to the NUT 'clients' so all of them know that there is a power failure and can do their own clean shutdowns
This gets round only being able to connect a single computer via USB.

  • Missing data after server restart

    Hi,
We restarted our MDM server at the OS level last night. Everything seemed okay after the restart. However, when our users came in this morning, they found that some data was missing from a table. We have a Material repository with 3 main tables. Some data which have previously been populated was not appearing in our Products Detail table, the largest of the three. A large number of rows in the table had columns that failed to load with data on the repository auto-start that occured after the server restart. The auto start value in the mds.ini file was set at 300 (5 minutes) as we had seen this iisue happen once before, and thought that may help.
A stop and restart of the repository corrected the issue. Is there anything we could have done to prevent this? Is it worthwhile to try increasing the auto start delay again? Validating detail data after every server restart is not an effective option.
    MDM version: 7.1 SP08
    OS: AIX  DB: Oracle 11g
    Thanks!
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
I meant that when you load repository using Immediate data is loaded from .acl files (accelerator files) in a async manner.
Whereas when you load by Update Indices new acl files are generated.
Below men6tioned is a comparision between the 2 ways of laoding repository:
    Load Repository Immediate
o Loads indexes from accelerator files instead of being regenerated by reading the data them from the DB and creating the index.
o Automatically builds indexes stored in out-of-date accelerator files.
    o Is usually fast.
 Load Repository with Update Indices
o Rebuilds all MDM indexes files by reading and indexing data stored in the DB. The results are flushed on disk as accelerator files.
o Necessary by repository schema changes or if any error occurs.
o Might take significant amount of time to complete.
So when you observe some visual data impact in your repository it is good idea to rebuild indexes.
I guess we cannot schedule this as default behavior is to load by immediate even through the inin parameter.
as a best practice one can do this by fixing a time frame eg monthly depending on data/schema changes.
    Thanks,
    Ravi
