PI 7.0 SOAP message reply HTTP 500 and after the fault message

Hello Everybody,
I have the scenario RFC -> XI -> SOAP in synchronous mode.
I use for the mapping XSLT because I have to put some dynamic data comming from the RFC in the header of envelope.
At level of adapter receiver SOAP , I flag the "do not use envelop"
In normal, that works .
When the is an fonctionnal error in SOAP service, it sends me back an error HTTP 500 and afterwards the fault message in a soap envelop format. In that case, how can I pass over this error to treat the envelop because in adapter, it is stopped and it returns a short dump to the RFC.
Is there somebody who can help me with this problem ?

In case of a SOAP error while processing the request, the SOAP HTTP server MUST issue an HTTP 500 "Internal Server Error" response and include a SOAP message in the response containing a SOAP Fault element

I have this error on a SOAP Receiver Channel: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
I've found several threads on SDN Forums about similar errors, but I did not find a solution for my problem yet.
I checked this blog: /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2008/01/08/troubleshooting--rfc-and-soap-scenarios-updated-on-20042009 Pt.6 applies to my situation, but the proposed solution doesn't solve the problem.

We faced similar problem & found alternative.
Try out, if it works for u as well.
1) Use HTTP Adapter instead of SOAP.
Transport Protocol : HTTP 1.0
Message Protocol : XI Payload in HTTP Body
Adapter Engine : Integration Server
Addressing type : URL Address.
Target Host:
Service Number :
Path Prefix:
Authentication type : we hv used Ananymus login, as our login details in payload header.
Content Type : application/soap+xml;charset=UTF-8( this is IMP).
Header Fields.
Name         value
Host           target host
XI Payload Manipulation

SOAP adapter engine with system error, problem with fault message.

I have IDOC -> PI -> SOAP scenario.
Idoc to PI is async. I have no problem in receiving the idoc in PI. The message mapping is carried out and sent to the adapter engine. I can also see the technical routing payload. It is sucessful at XML monitoring in SXMB_MONI.
The error is at PI -> SOAP.
I have wsdl provided by the receiver webservice. Which I have imported.
And created a service interface against this wsdl. I tried changing it to both sync and async.
I have also provided fault message.
I have set a receiver soap communication channel and provided the target URL like "http://xxx/services" and soap
action = processDocument. Also provided user id and password.

I check in RWB adapter engine, this message goes to system error. The error log is as shown at the bottom.
When I see the message content, the SOap document shows me the details about IDOC, Instead I feel it should match
with the wsdl, where they have specified the corresponding interface name and address location etc.Please correct me.
How does the receiver know which service interface is it? The Service Interface which I created in the ER is
different from the WSDL, Does this have to be same? I see that the soap document in the adapter engine has the
Service interface name which I created in the ER. Where in the document the Reciever interface name is sent?
Where can I see the generated soap document for the receiver?
Is there some setting/configuration required in PI for this to work?
I tried using the tcpgw to see the error. If I dont provide the service interface name in the communication channel
then I get the following error in the TCPGW. "The service cannot be found for the endpoint reference"
When I provide the service interface name in the communication channel I get a valid fault message.

When I use SOAPUI, I can see the fault exception being return. The adapter engine doesnot show an equivalent message
instead it goes into system error as shown at the bottom. I guess this is expected, if so what is the work around? (I found this weblog /people/alessandro.guarneri/blog/2011/01/10/soap-fault-in-sap-pi-hijack-it, do I need to implement this? Or use ALEAUD?
The fault message what I see in SOAPUI has the below format.

ideally you dont need a sender agreement (and a channel) for IDOC --> PI flow.
When I see the message content, the SOap document shows me the details about IDOC

can you open the URL from Internet explorer...from your machine or from the machine which is in the same network as your PI server?
Things to check:
WSDL structure in PI and in target system is exactly the same.
does the target system require mesage in SOAP format (SOAP envelope - SOAP Header + SOAP body)?
target system is up and running?

OK Now I can answer my own question. The incomprehensible (inexcusably geeky) error message is actually Apple language for saying simply: "The iCloud servers are down again. Please wait until we've fixed them." I found this out by talking to Apple support. It took about 12 hours for the iCloud server synching calendars to come back online. When they did, my calendar reloaded, and everything was fine.

CX_SY_MOVE_CAST_ERROR in SPROXY Class after creating fault messages in PI ?

We created a SOAP to Proxy synchronous scenario and everthing works fine.
Now we have created a fault message in PI and regenerated the proxy in ECC, after regenerating the proxy, if i debug the proxy from service registry, breakpoint gets triggered in proxy class and iam getting an exception "CX_SY_MOVE_CAST_ERROR" at the status bar (but not dump). After executing the proxy class i could get the required response in service registry but with the exception ( Connection IO Exception. Check nested exception for details. (Invalid SOAP Response. Runtime can not find return parameter <(http://hostname.com/soaptoproxy)MT_Soap_Response>.). In MONI i could see this as a successful message. Can anyone tell me reason for this exception both in proxy class and in Service registry ? I also regenerated the proxy class after creating fault message in PI.

Thanks. I have tested in locally in SPROXY and i found that exception occurs in the constructor method of exception class, which was created by adding Fault Messages in PI. Any Suggestions ?

How is the Fault Message Type used?

Hi,
I have a HTTP-SOAP scenario.I want to post a request to a HTTP Server using the SOAP receiver adapter and get the ackowledgement message from the receiver, if it was successful or not. Is this possible using the Fault Message type?
If not how else can i capture the response in the EO mode?

Resubmitting the fault messages from ESB Portal

Hi,
We are facing some changes in Resubmission process in ESB Portal.
When we try to resubmit the fault message in ESB Portal we are getting the error and there is nothing available in the event viewer
The resubmission failed: 500 - InternalServerError
We already try so many prospect as we find in the Google.

Hi Oyash,
You need to debug it further by opening the portal solution and attaching to IIS.
Few checkpoints:
#1. Ensure that Application pool associated with your Application
in IIS is V4.0 instead of V2.0. Do reset the IIS before testing again.

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:

(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?

Sending the fault message payload to sender using BPM.

I have the scenario where BPM splits a file into multiple record and each record calls webservice.
For a successfull call a success response is generated by web service . For a failed transaction a fault message is sent back which needs to be delivered to the sender's mail ID.
I am not able send the fault message payload which contains the error message details to sender ..
Please suggest what can be done for such a scenario. Is there any way by which error details can be sent to sender?

You can handle the exception on your web service and model a Notification task so that you can send e-mail notification to the sender in case of exception

Unable to retreive the fault message returned by web service

Hi,
We are working on Proxy to SOAP synchronous scenario. The WSDL provided by the third party has 3 messages - 1. for request structure, 2. response structure and 3. Error message to track the exceptions, if any. The interface working fine for positive test cases but we are facing issues when trying to capture the error message returned by the web service.
We have configured the error message(provided in WSDL) as fault message in our Inbound interface. In the outbound interface, we have configured standard Fault message type provided by XI. we have mapped the two structure.
Now when error is returned by the web service, we are able to see the blank response structure in the payload in MONI in XI. Also the SOAP Error Message structure is there in XI.
But when we trying to retrieve the same in our proxy, it is giving the blank structure.
Please help how to get the error message returned by the web service in proxy....

You are consuming the third party webservice. Third party webservice WSDL has request, response and fault message. if the third party application logic capture the exception and pass the response as fault mesg, then the above specified target fault mesg mapping with your Standard fault message mapping will be sent to sender or client proxy.
Suggestions:
Having fault message in WSDL does not mean that target system sends fault message during application exception. Check in the SXMB_MONI whether your response during exception is occuring in the fault message structure publised as WSDL. If not then doing mapping will not help. It gives only blank.
If you notice response in fault message structure from third party in SXMB_MONI, then you need to check that at the client proxy side, are you handling/done coding for fault message methods similar to response strucutre for capturing data.
