PI 7.1 Integrated Configuration for AAE - Issue Accessing Attachment

Hello All,
PI 7.1 in its new features allows access to the Attachment using UDF's withing Graphical Mapping.
Tried this feature and works good in Graphical mappings; am able to access the Attachment; and write it into a Field on my target. This works with the standard XI pipeline steps of passing message from AE to IE back to AE.
When trying to use the same set up with the Advanced Adapter Engine, - Integrated Configuration; this feature doesn't seem to work and the mapping run time triggers a Null Pointer Exception.
None of the SAP documentation discusses this as a limitation of AAE and hence am wondering if this is a bug or is this a limitation? Has anyone on the forum tried this?
Regards
Bhavesh

Hi Bhavesh,
I also tried this scenario long back when PI7.1 was in Rampup mode. We tried and first part was working fine as you also written, but in second part we got stuck. After some research, we found that we cannot configure additional communication scenarios that contain, for example payload-based routing or a message split, with Integrated Configuration. You must define separate receiver determinations, interface determinations, and communication agreements to configure communication scenarios of this type. We can only configure communication scenarios where message is transfered withing AAE.
MAy be you need to check the receiver interfaces and Mappings or may somthing missing there. Also check for authorized Service User.
Possibilities are like something missing is in Integrated Configuration but not sure.

  • Trying for months: Issues accessing .Mac mail from desktop Mail app

    I have a few Macs (eMac, iMac G5, 2-iMac G3s...). User since 85.
I signed up for .Mac family pack. Gave email accounts to my family members. .Mac mail can only be retrieved from ONE (iMac G3) of the Macs. The others register that there are X number of .Mac emails in the inbox, but when one clicks on the box, the pane that should display the list of emails is blank. Every few minutes, the chime shows the same X number of emails has arrived in the inbox, starting the cycle all over again.
I have check, double and triple checked the Mail configuration for each of these Macs and see no difference. In fact, when you login to .Mac it appears to configure the Mail account automatically.
The router settings for these Macs (like port forwarding, etc.) is identical, too.
    Thanks for your help

    From Mail Help:
    "Setting up your email accounts
The first time you open Mail, it automatically sets up email accounts for you using the information from the .Mac pane of System Preferences and the Mail Setup Assistant. If no information is found, Mail guides you through the process of setting up a new account. You can create additional accounts at any time.
If you switch to Mail from another email application, you need to enter the account information from the other application in Mail. Before you begin, view the information in the other application, and write down the names of the incoming and outgoing mail servers, your account name and password, and whether it is a POP or IMAP account. If you have multiple accounts, get the information for each account.
    To add an account:
    Choose File > Add Account.
Choose your account type, such as POP or IMAP, from the Account Type pop-up menu and enter the information, based on your account type. If you aren't sure about some of the fields, check with your Internet service provider (ISP) or mail account provider.
General information: Enter a description of the account. The description is shown in the mailbox list. If you have multiple accounts, enter something that will help you distinguish this account from others, such as "Tom's work email." You must also specify the full name to be displayed in outgoing mail, such as Tom Clark, and the email address to use in the From field when you send messages. For a .Mac account, you must enter your .Mac user name and password.
Incoming Mail Server: Enter the server (typically a POP or IMAP server) where your email waits for you to retrieve it. For example, mail.example.com. Enter your user name and password for this mail server. If you specified an Exchange account, you must specify the Outlook Web Access Server.
Outgoing Mail Server: Enter the server (also known as an SMTP server) that sends your email to its destination. For example, smtp.example.com or relay.example.com. To see the server in use by each mail account, choose Edit Server List from the Outgoing Mail Server pop-up menu.
Further define the new account you have just created. Choose Mail > Preferences, click Accounts, and select the new account in the list.
In the Mailbox Behaviors pane, select options for storing and deleting drafts, sent mail, junk mail, and trash. The options are different for the different kinds of accounts.
In the Advanced pane, select options to enable the account, include the account when checking for new mail, to manage offline viewing, and other options.
A .Mac account is an IMAP account provided as part of Apple's .Mac services. To sign up for a .Mac account, open the .Mac pane of System Preferences and click Sign Up. You can also use a web browser to send and receive email with a .Mac account.
An Exchange account allows you to connect to your Exchange server via IMAP, and if you enter text in the Outlook Web Access Server field, Mail filters non-email related content from the server. (You can get the text you need to enter from your mail account provider.) For Exchange to work with Mail, Exchange administrators need to configure the Exchange server for IMAP access. Some system administrators may refer to an Outlook Web Access Server as an Internet Information Services (IIS) server.
For IMAP accounts, when you first connect to your mail server, all your mailboxes are automatically synchronized, so that the email messages on your computer are the same as those on the server.
To remove an account, select it in the account list and click the Delete button.

    OR:
"About synchronizing email accounts and settings
There are two ways you can synchronize your email accounts and settings:
If you are using an IMAP account, all your messages remain on the server, so you can access them from multiple computers. Mail periodically synchronizes your IMAP mailboxes with those on the server, ensuring that mailboxes on your computer reflect actions taken while viewing mail on the server, such as marking messages as read, deleting messages, or moving messages between mailboxes. If "Keep copies of messages for offline viewing" (in the Advanced pane of the Accounts pane in Mail Preferences) is set to one of the options that stores copies of messages, Mail also downloads messages (and attachments, if that option is selected) from the server to your computer. Before using an IMAP account offline, synchronize the account so you know you're working offline with up-to-date messages.
If you have a .Mac account, you can use .Mac Sync to synchronize your account settings and your rules, signatures, and Smart Mailboxes across all of your Mac OS X x10.4 computers. To become a .Mac member, open System Preferences, click .Mac, and click the Learn More button. For more information about .Mac, visit the .Mac website at www.apple.com/dotmac/.

  • Integration scenario for Centralized Emergency Access and Helpdesk / CHARM

    Hi,
Is any of you aware of a scenario doc between GRC and SOLMAN? Since Change Requests are referred in GRC, I assume there is an integrated scenario...
    Thanks in advance,

Can Firefighter logon using the Netweaver Business Client to launch Firefighter ID?
    - No, GRAC_SPM is the way to go.
Is that mandate to use GRC system to launch Firefighter ID using GRAC_SPM transaction code? or can the user logon to local system as well?
    - Yes. However, the option would be nice to have a workaround in case GRC is down
What about Portal based system Firefighting functionality? Can we have Firefighter IDs on Netweaver Java system?
    - As far as I know only for transactional SAP systems.
Will I be able to grant a Firefighter ID to a Firefighter User on hourly basis?
    - Same as answered already  - no.
For initial setup , how the initial data load of Firefighter Ids Owners, Controllers and Firefighter Users can be done? Are there options like load from Excel or CSV available as part of setup toolset?
    - Same as answered already  - no.

  • Configuring Process Integration Scenarios for Advanced Adapter Engine

    Hello @all,
i've an asynchronous SOAP scenario and would like to configure an integrated configuration for Advanced Adapter Engine using a process integration scenario. In the documentation (Link below) it is described, that you can select local communication using AAE in the model configurator, but I couldn't find any hint. Any idea?

  • SystemAck in integrated configuration

    Hello all.
I have configured an integrated configuration for a proxy -> soap scenario.
The sender adapter - is SOAP with XI 3.0 protocol.
in the section: HTTP Destination (from NWA) - I have written the ECC HTTP destination
    (defined with url: http://<ecc server>:8000/sap/XI/engine/?type=entry )
The messages go out ok, but when I look in the ECC - the proxy doesn't get a system ack.
When I look in the message monitoring in the PI - I can see the SystemAck in successful, and in Transport part it says:
Loopback - so it seems that the ack is not being sent out of the PI.
Is there anything else to configure to make the ack to be sent back to the ECC?
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi,
Did you request this acknowledgement while calling the proxy from the backend system? This is a prerequisite to receiving it there. See an example of how to do it here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f4/8620c6b58c422c960c53f3ed71b432/content.htm
Also, see section 5. Limitation of this document below - it says that acks are not supported by ICO.
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/70066f78-7794-2c10-2e8c-cb967cef407b
However, I remember setting it up once and acks were sometimes sent properly. In particular, System OK acks were sent. But when an error occurred during mapping, no ack reached the backend system.
    Hope this helps,
    Greg

  • Query on Integrated configurations(IC)

    Hi all,

  • Documentum Kpro configuration for SAP DMS

    Hi Experts ,
We are planning to use Documentum Content server as the content store for SAP DMS . We want to configure the KPro configuration for this. Can somebody help with the details. We are currently using Documentum SAP archivelink (RFC ) . I know  we can also use Documentum SAP archivelink (HTTP ) . What is the difference between using Documentum SAP archivelink (HTTP) over Kpro configuration.
    Please guide me
    Thanks
    Regi

Thank You Seema and Nitin for your answer.
As I mentioned earlier I am aware of the configuration of the Content Store and othet Data Carrier .
I am also familiar with the regular Documentum SAP archive link (RFC/HTTP).
The new dimension we are bringing to our architecture is adding SAP DMS for SAP PLM and using Documentum as the content store.
We want to use KPRO as the integration configuration for the specific reason of more than 2 originals.
My question to all the gurus out there is did any one use Documentum KPRO configuration with SAP DMS and if so how does that work with ECL viewer .If you are using Archivelink , you need to use Documemntum Viewer to see documents from SAP.
Also any difference in viewing document from a Portal interface
    Thanks

  • Parameter setting for RFC Lookup in Integrated Configuration

    hi Experts,
I am using AAE feature of PI 7.1 to create a file to file scenario with mapping.
I have to perform RFC_LOOKUP in mapping.
I have Created a parameters in Message Mapping and Operation Mapping and performed required binding between them.
    Details of parameter are:
       Name:         RFC_Lookup
       Category:    Adapter
       Type:          RFC
       Parameter:  Import
I am using Integrated Configuration in ID.
Please tell me where do I assign values to parameter in ID when using Integrated Configuration.
    Thanks.
    Girish

    Hi guys,
    I have the same issue.
I want to use an parameterzied mapping during an integrated configuration.
But I don´t find any place to specify the value for the parameter.
Are parameterized mappings not possible with integrated configuration?
If I create an normal configuration using interface determination, I could specify the parameter value
    Kind regards

  • CC&B v2.3.1 Integration Configuration Issue

    Hello all.
We're working on implementing the configuration for CC&B v2.3.1 for integration with AIA. However, we have been unable to successfully place any message to the AIA JMS queue. Our CC&B and AIA resides in 2 different servers.
    We're using Weblogic 10.2 MP2, and JDK 1.5.0_21.
Based on the research I’ve done so far, it seems to be a problem with a Java security policy. And the recommendation was to add the following line to java.policy ==> permission javax.management.MBeanTrustPermission "register". I tried this. However, the error message did not change.
I hope the experts in this group will be able to help me resolve this problem.
These are the error messages that were logged when the Weblogic server was started.

Hi i'm not sure if you have solved this, but here is a resolution:
We followed the instructions and built the server with the correct version of pre-requisites, including jdk1.5.0_21 and jrockit-R27.5.0-jdk1.5.0_14. When the application started the WebLogic processes were looking to use an MD5withRSA algorithm that is no longer supported by either Solaris 10 or Verisign. You may find that the OS you are using is different, but replacing the cert with an older cert from a previous version of JDK did the trick.
The system was using a cacerts file located located in 'jdk1.5.0_21/jre/lib/security' folder and was unable to register the certificate due to the algorithms not being supported.
We did some investigation of why this might be and found many people having the same issues. The resulted solution was to locate a demo certification that was compatible. So we renamed the current jdk1.5.0_21/lib/security/cacerts file to cacerts.save and copied in the jrockit-R27.5.0-jdk1.5.0_14/lib/security/cacerts file as a replacement. Restarted all of the environments and now Https is operational.
So in fact we replaced a newer version of JDK's jre security file with an older one, this fixed the problem.
    Thanks,
    Trevor

  • Integrated Configuration - AAE - Monitoring

    Hello All
I am trying to understand how Integrated Configuration works in the runtime and things look rather neat to me with my scenario working.
But monitoring this in the RWB,  few questions cropped up, which I hope someone can help answer:
    1. Inbound and Outbound Payload Monitoring
When message get processed within the Integration Engine, we can see the input payload and also the output of the mapping. In the case of the Integrated Configuration, is this not possible? I don't see any new special window open and hence how is the monitoring of the various steps specifically input and output done?
    2. Mapping Trace not accessible
To further analyze what is new, we put a few standard XI trace steps into the mapping to see where these traces are displayed in the runtime. We thought it would be a part of the Audit Log, but it is not. Has anyone experience with how trace (custom mapping trace using the AbstractTrace object ) can be used with Integrated Configuration or is that another limitation with PI 7.1 and the Integrated Configuration?
To me these two are major requirements as a application developer to do my development and support and hence am wondering whether to gain performance have these options been eliminated or is there some set up needed on the server which we have missed.
    Thoughts , ideas welcome.
    Regards
    Bhavesh
PS : You know what my questions to the Subject Matter Experts at the Bangalore teched are going to be

    Hello Rodrigo,
Regarding monitoring of different versions of the message processed by means of AAE, this is unfortunately not possible in PI 7.1x - message is persisted only once in such scenarios (after receiver/interface determination). Multiple persistence of the processed message in Java stack is only available in 7.3x - there you have options for configurable staging (property xiadapter.stage.conf of J2EE service XPI Adapter: XI) and logging (property xiadapter.logger.conf of J2EE service XPI Adapter: XI) of the message so that several versions of the message (e.g. before mapping and after mapping) can be observed (incl. these versions' payloads). Technically, it is possible to setup staging/logging for different processing steps (namely stages - analogue of pipeline services in classical Integration Engine processing) - but, as I said, in 7.3x and not in 7.1x.
Speaking about creation of custom audit log entries, did you check SAP standard AuditMessageKey and AuditAccess for this? (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/3b/6fe540b1278631e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm)

  • How to handle Integrated Configuration performance impact on AAE/Java AS

    Hi there,
Recently I have moved  a configuration scenario from standard flow involving both ABAP and Java stacks, to Integrated Configuration usage. Undoubtedly, this will increase the load on AAE/Java stack. However, do you have link to some clear (official - even better) guidelines - what configurational changes should be done on Java side in order to handle the performance impact of such transition?
    Best Regards,
    Lalo

    Hi Lalo,
In fact, using AAE generates no traffic in ABAP stack at all (it is ommited when processing a message), while the traffic in Java stack should be lower than for normal scenario. The performance should be noticeably better, thanks to smaller number of persistence steps and no costly HTTP connections between stacks. For more details, please refer to this document:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/2016a0b1-1780-2b10-97bd-be3ac62214c7
    Important quotation from this document:
Since the Integration Engine is bypassed for local message processing in the AAE, the resource consumption both in memory and CPU is lower. This leads to higher message throughput, and faster response times which especially is important for synchronous scenarios.
Moreover, have a look at this document, especially its beginning, for details about the architecture of AAE processing:

    Hope this helps,

  • ABAP Proxy sender possible in integrated configuration AAE with PI 7.11

    Hi guys,
    we are running PI 7.11.
We have serveral scenarios where the senderis an ABAP proxy and the receiver is reached by a jave adapter.
With Ehp1 the SOAP adapter offers the possibilty to chose XI 3.0 as message protocol.
We use this feature already in scenarios where ABAP proxy is receiver.
But is it also possible to use it at sender side?
    Kind regards
    Jochen

    Hi Volker,
    thanks for your help.
You could also use ABAP proxy at sender side during integrated configuration.
Prerequisite is to implement SAP note  1349125 and use following url for acessing the PI from SAP backends.
    http://<host>:<port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?ximessage=true
With this URL you could ABAP proxies in normal scenarios where integration server is involved as well as  in integrated configurations.
    Kind regards
    Jochen

  • Configuration for Message Exchange in integration process

    Hi,
I'm a beginner in SAP XI (7.0) and trying to develop an integration process for a purchase order.
There will be sent a message via Http to a receiver with Ftp.
So for the integration process are two communication channels necessary which will be defined in the integration directory:
    One for the Sender: Http.
    One for the receiver: Ftp.
Within the integration process are some sender and receiver steps with Bapi's.
    My questions are:
    - how and where could these sendings to a Bapi (send step) and from a Bapi (receive step) be configured?
    - is it possible at all to configure a communication channel for these sending and receiving steps within a integration process?
    Thanks for your help!
    Zoran

    Hi Zoran
While using BPM as well you will need to have communication channels.
    BPM - > BAPI request.
    BAPI response -> BPM
both sender and receiver channels are required for you.
1.Demand for a material is send via HTTP to XI
2.XI does a material availability check to the SAP system
3.A material reservation has to be done if there are any materials available in the stock (inventory) to the SAP system
4.If there is no material available a purchase order to a supplier (no SAP) has to be done via FTP
5.Parallel to the purchase order a purchase order confirmation is send to the the SAP system.
6.The supplier sends a purchase order confirmation to XI
7.The XI sends a purchase order confirmation to the SAP system
If i understood your requirement correctly and you want to use BPM. You need to do following in BPM
Receivestep1(receive HTTP post) -> transform1(mapping to BAPI request) ->send step1(Send BAPI request to SAP) -> Receivestep2 (Receive BAPI response from SAP) -> Transform2 (Map BAPI response to File)-> send2(File post to non SAP supplier)-> Receive3(receive purchase order confirmation)-> transform3(map to SAP purchase order confirmation)-> send3(Purchase order confirmation to sap)
    You need no of channels
    1.Receive 1 - (HTTP)
    2.Send1/Receive2 - (RFC)
    3.Send2 - (FTP)
    4. Receive3( HTTP or FTP)
    5. For purchase order confirmation.
    Thanks
    Gaurav
