PI Count using Layout module

Hi all,
Currently we are using layout modules for our retail stores. All of our store stock is maintained through layout modules only.
We would like to extend the layout modules to enable Physical Inventory process as follows.
1. Create PI documents based on Store Layout / Layout modules
2. Print/Output these PI documents with Layout/Postion/Sorting Sequence details
This will enable the store personnel to quickly and easily do article counts.
e.g.
Store XYZ has store layout as XYZ - This has layout modules A,B,C & D & each layout module has 1 or more fixtures with articles attached to it
When we want to generate PI documents for this store, an option to either give store layout module or atleast a combination of Store & Layout module.
Please suggest if there are any options to do so.

We have given the necessary authorizations to PI user.

You can write in FORM ROUTINE and LSMW.
I hope you know how to write ABAP code at field level.
If not ...
Come to change mode->select the field->Rule->ABAP Code
write a perform statement in ABAP code at field level.
PERFORM test using val
 changing valu.
Go to Utilities(at menu)->switch layout-> extras ->select Layout->check Form routine-> it will display a FORM Routine... at bottom
this is the place where you can write some code for
 FORM test using value
 changing value1
FM call....
.ENDFORM
Get the value1 returned and use for the Field population.

Combination Checks using Function Module

Hi people,
I am trying to use function module to carry out a 'simple' combination check.
Rules: If no values are entered for WBS, Cost center and profit center, raise and error.
Also, if a value is entered for both cost center and wbs raise an error.
The fucntion module looks okay, but the combination check doesn't work. It still allows the records to be saved in the infocube when I test on the layout, even when the conditions specified are met. No errors are raised.

Hi Uchenna,
The function module will not be called if all of the characteristics being checked are unassigned. Therefore if you are trying to test this combo check by entering a line with blank WBS, CC, PC, then the code will never actually be called.
If you want to ensure this doesn't happen then I recommend writing a FOX that checks for this combination and throws an error if found. You can run the FOX on refresh so the check will happen each time the user enters a new line and hits refresh.

when i am trying to create IDOC's of type LAYMOD01 using LSMW with IDOC Object type ,there were some IDOC;s failing in SAP With status 51 saying as "Layouts - Variant &1 does not exist for version &2 of layout module &3".
the following below text explain you the error message related to one particular IDOC of type LAYMOD 01 which was failed in sap with status 51 :

To upload the file , you can try a standard program "RSEPSFTP" .
while you execute the program , a selection screen appears in which the inputs should be give as
RFC destination - The target server name
FTP command- PUT
local file - your file name
local directory - path of your local file
remote file - your target file name
remote directory - where it has to be stored

I'm trying to calculate the depreciation using capex module.
The fiscal year is start from Apr.
The case is like this below :
- when the purchase date is in January, February, March, the depreciation will be putted in the last year.
For example :
Purchase Date : 01012012 (1 st January 2012)
Cost : 600000
useful life : 5 year
then the depreciation = 10000 for each month
But the result in capex module :

Hi,
You can design your report and use Function module VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL for that.
You need to use Action type as 'S' for displaying and 'U' for maintaining the table.

I want to download an Alv report using layout varaint in background job.
can any one please help me.

I am facing a problem in downloading a text file to the Application server.
My requirement is, when the user downloads a file with the layout variant, the file should have only the columns which was selected in the variant.
