PI EHP1 710 to 7.11

Hello Gurus,
I need to apply the EHP1 for my PI 7.10
Does anyone knows how to do it? I have donde plenty of EHP4 to ECC environment but never in PI. I have the system in my solman but in MOPZ I don't have the option for EHP installation.
Anyone has a guide for this? I have look for docu. and nothing found.

NWDS for EHP1 Perspectives

Dear,
I installed the NWDS for EHP1 by unzipping "NWDS_plaform.zip". When I open the NWDS inside the unzipped folder and try to change the perspective to Process Modeling, it's just not there. I've got 3 perspectives, all which seem to be standard eclipse perspectives :
Debug, Resource, Team Synchonizing.
I went to the menu Help > Software Updates > Find and Install > Search for New Features to Install. I selected "EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.1 Update Site" and when trying to log on I used our company's S-number. The same we used to download CE EHP1 ... This gives errors : 403 Forbidden. Obviously this isn't the login/pw I should be using ...
Any help? I desperately need the Process Modelling tool by now ...

First of all, using the 710 updater site would work. It gives configuration errors but I can access without problems. So authentication is definitely not the problem.
Romit, the installation guide of NWDS for EHP1 specifically states :
This is an installer free procedure, you will have to do the following steps :
- Unpack the NetWeaver Developer Studio Platform.
- During the first start you will be asked for the your local Java SE runtime environment JDK 5.0.x javaw.exe (NWDS will not work with JRE and is not released for JDK 6.0.x)
- After restart you will be prompted for your local update site, which contains the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio features.
"The NWDS_platform.zip file contains the kernel of NWDS. The kernel does not contain the SAP features necessary to develop SAP NetWeaver applications. The SAP features are installed with the update manager."
However, there is a way to circumvent this faulty updater site :
The installation folder of NWDS for EHP1 contains a folder 'features' and 'plugins'. Just drag and drop the contents into your eclipse folder. Once you find, it's real easy. That's it ... (why can't they say this in the manual, or anywhere, or make it so by default, this is beyond me!)

SAP EhP1 SPS6 for NetWeaver 7.0 - tp status 230

While installing SAP EhP1 SPS6 for NetWeaver 7.0 in PBW
(BI production system) the process fails at phase

Although I have not encountered this error in my installation copy - you can try the following:
Take the zip file for NWDS to another machine and install it. If you do get the same error - then the zip file was damanged in the transfer - if not then probably it is an issue with the Microsoft Installer files that you are using. If you are using a legal version of Windows then upgrade to the latest updates and then try again. You can try the same steps after shutting down and restarting your PC.
Most probably the zip file is damaged since the MSI has run successfully.for the CE WAS.

RFC connection error between Netweaver 7 EHP1 and Ides ECC6

Hi Friends,
I try to create source system in BI from Netwever EHP1 to IDES ECC6 EHP3.
During the creation I get a connection error, says. check connction parameter.
I checked the parameter, everything is fine. Server, System and number.
When I went to the SM59 and created a connction.
I.E. with the same parameter like system = 06 and server = compi9 gave client 800 etc.
The Host name is resolved to 192.168.2.111 wich is OK.
But when I run the connection test it shows me "ERROR: partner '80.156.86.78:sapgw06' not reached"
I have no idea where this IP '80.156.86.78" is comming from.
No Problem with the opposite way, from Ides to NW and login to the System is OK too.
Can anybody help me with this problem.

Hi,
What is the next screen that comes up when you click on remote logon.
If no screen comes up then:
Check the user type of the user id used for this RFC.
It should be either dialog or service user for able to remote login.
If it open a new window and asks for password, then its excatly password issue.
Also make sure that the password is in numeric and correct.
Also make sure that the current user check box is unchecked.
Even if it dosent work, delete the connection and create again.

Error in MAIN_NEWBAS/STARTSAP_NBAS Upgrade EHP1

We have errors in this downtime phase of our BI upgrade. It looks like the KERNEL hasn't updated correctly ?
When I run R3INLPGM the environment variables do not show.
The SCS 00 instance started o.k. and Instance 01 is partially up with DISPATCHER JCONTROL SDM SERVER0
WATCHDOG only running.
I've followed all recommendations of note 1165462.
The error I see on the SDT tool is below together with the errors I see when I try to STOPSAP for manual intervention on 00 or 01
I forced an end of the subsystem to do a manual APYSAP of kernel 69 but this has the same results.

Hi Miguel,
her wanted to say, that either the shadow during uptime or later the real instance during downtime restarts SAP several times and ALWAYS start saposcol as well. If this fails - which is a really crazy behviour - SAP shuts down again !
=> The easiest - especially during an upgrade - is to just comment the saposcol start in the start profile
Then you have repeat the upgrade after shutting down the instance completey with killing all proceeses and it should work fine ...

Installation SAP Sneak Preview 7.0 EhP1 fails.

Hi all,
I want to install SAP Sneak Preview 7.0 EhP1, with the new WD4A features. I already had one installation that failed. Therefore, the official uninstall was not yet present in c:\sap\nsp\uninstall. So I had to delete all files and folders manually. I also used the registry cleaning tool, checked the host file and services file. But still, when trying to (re)install it, on the first check of the installation wizard, I keeps giving me the error, that there is already an NSP system running /installed, which in fact is not (no longer) true. What else should I do to overcome this error?

Now, we'd like to move to CRM 7.0 EHP1 which includes NW7.02
When I log in to the maintenance optimizer to pull down the entire list of patches, I'm also prompted to install a completely new component called FINBASIS. Now I'm familiar with this component from the ECC6.0 side, but never from CRM.
I'm wondering if I must install this or if optional when I move to CRM 7.0 EHP1.
Does anyone have any experience with what I am describing?

I found the master guide and it states this:
Finbasis for CRM
Finbasis for CRM is a optional SAP add-on that can be either installed on top of either SAP ERP or SAP CRM. This add-on includes the Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) applications SAP Dispute Management and Collections Management, which extend the SAP ERP Financials capabilities.
These applications add extra functionality to the Shared Service Center business scenario available with the SAP CRM Interaction Center. To use these applications, you may simply deploy this software unit on top of your SAP CRM system, without having to upgrade your SAP ERP system to EHP5.
So since we already have an ECC system that is moving to EHP5, I don't think we'll add this component to CRM.

System is running and I am able to login with administrator user id. There is only single server node and there is no error related to expiration time. SDM is also running. Secure store is also correct. Still I am facing same problem. I checked on SDN as well and found many reference of the same problem but none of them resolved my problem.

Installing Java Stack - Netweaver 7.0 EHP1

We currently have our ERP system installed (ECC6) and i am planning to install the Java stack on a separate server for portal and ADS. I was at the Service Marketplace to download the installation files and was wondering what is all needed. I have a Windows Server with SQL. I assume that this would be a Central Instance installation and the guide mentions that the following DVD's are to be used:
-Installation Master DVD
-Kernel DVD
-Netweaver Java SP14 DVD
-RDBMS DVD
Within service marketplace I see the downloads for:
BS 7 SR1 Installation Master Windows Server on x64 64bit
RDBMS MSSQLSRV 2008 incl. SP1 1 - 6
BS 7 SR1 Kernel 7.01 Windows Server on x64 64bit
BS 7 SR1 UC-Kernel 7.01 Windows Server on x64 64bit
there is no download for the Netweaver Java SP14 DVD files.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

( and when i try with the query designer or rsrt + java web i have a error message )
- perhaps create an user communication between portal/bi abap where ?
- how to deploy bi java on portal (EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1)
by the way, i can't find the bi post install template in the configuration wizard on the the portal...

I have a question about Java Add-in in release Netweaver 7.0 EHP1. As I have understood, with SAP Business Suite 7.0 cannot install java add-in in abap system. Is that correct?
I have in a upgrade proces of BW from 3.5 (ABAP, NO-UNICODE to Netweaver 7.0 EHP1 (without unicode conversion). The upgrade has successfully completed, but now I need to install portal components (EP, EP-CORE and BI-JAVA). How can I install this componentes?... If I install a new system Portal, this would have to be UNICODE... so, can I have, in the same server, two system, one NO-UNICODE (BI) and the other UNICODE (Portal)...??

Hi Barraza,
We had this similar issue. So, here are the answers for your questions.
- Yes, correct. As of SAP Business Suite 7.0 one cannot install java add-in in abap system (Note 855534 ).
- You have Abap as Non-unicode on EHP1. So, Java AddIn installation is NOT supported as Java is a Unicode. The only way for you is, to install a separate Java System in the same machine. Yes, you can install 2 or many systems in a server if the server is strong enough. Then connect the Java system to the Abap system, it works. There is a configuration for this connection.
Later, if you want to upgrade the Abap system to EHP4 or upwards, it can also be done without much hassel. Please award if you find my post useful.

Upgrade from 3.0B (release 620) to BI 7.1 (release 710)

Please guide me whether it is possible to upgrade from BW 3.0B system to BI 7.1, I am in release 620 now.

There is nothing called as NW BI 7.1,

in SMP,
We can upgrade to SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 from the following basis release:
SAP BW 2.0B; SAP BW 2.1C; SAP BW 3.0B; SAP BW 3.1 CONTENT;
From there we can install EHP1 for NW 7.0 i.e of basis 701.

Not able to make any call with my lumia 710 though other then call everything is working fine. I chacked my SIM in other phone, i there phone i can make calls. Whats wrong with my phone?

i am using nokia lumia since last 6 months. i am having aitel connection. till few days back i was able to make phone calls however now phone calls are immediately getting ended. i m able to send sms, receive calls and use intenel..problem presisits only with receiving call..

Problem with ALV and EXCEL in 710...

We have BI 710 and ECC6. When using ALV-GRID and when we try to change the output to excel-inplace, we get the error:
"View cannot be switched. Product not installed or integration not active"...
What do i have to install?

Cover flow shows a thumbnail or icon for each file much like album covers in iTunes. The first is cover flow and the second shot is list view. If you choose list view the shaking vanishes.
