PI - SUS integration

Hi,
We have done a software upgrade recently in PI and SRM, PI is now 7.0 SPS 20 and SRM 6.0 is fully upgraded. However, there is a costum field extension appended to Purchase Order, that we can no more add new fields in SUS. The new field was added in PI structure, but in SUS we can not regenerate this structure, any ideas to solve this?

It is always prudent to ensure all imported content is at the correct level with any installation or upgrade!

hi,
in EBP -SUS scenario --> three systems are involved.
1) EBP(SRM) System ( CLIENT xxx)
2) SUS System ( CLIENT yyy)
3) XI System ( CLIENT zzz).
EBP(SRM) system client can be on the same server as SUS System client.
It is also possible to have these SRM (EBP) and SUS Clients on different servers.
It is also possible to have one client scenario ( EBP and SUS ) in the same client , But SAP Recommends this not to be used for productive use and to be used for demo purpose.
XI system is required to integrate SRM and SUS , this is to transfer documents ( in the form XML Messages ) from one system to another.
proxies are used in this scenario.

SUS-ERP integration w/o XI

Hi!
We have an extended classic scenario already up and running between ERP->EBP system without XI usage. We are using BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER report. And we would like to Configure SUS system to make Suppliers able to see Sales Orders and create Confirmations and ASN for them.
Could anybody please tell me whether it is possible w/o XI usage? Or whether it is possible not to make harm to existed configuration if we will use XI for EBP->SUS and SUS->MM integration?

hi,
there is no need to change any of the exisiting configurations between EBP-ERP.
there is no direct communication between ERP and SUS.
if you want to start using EBP-SUS scenario , you need to download Service_integration scneario in XI.
you need to follow the config guide and the master guide for the details.
Purchase order is the starting point for the SUS integration
so in your case
1) external requirement comes to sourcing.
2) You should use an supplier which is SUS-enabled for the creation of the purchase order.
3) purchase order will go to SUS -->and the vendor user will send the responses.
But also keep in mind , if you want to use SUS is ECS , there are many restrictions -->

RFC Adapters for EBP and SUS systems

Hi!
We have Extended Classic Scenario up and running and now configuring SUS integration. We have done SLD configuration already and via TR SLDCHECK (has been executed on SRM server) has seen that XI connection is fine.
Now we have a question whether we need to configure RFC adapters for SUS and EBP systems? If yes, how can we do this?

you need to define RFC connections between SUS and EBP , only if you want user synchronization between the systems....
connection should be of type --> ABAP CONNECTIONS --> type 3
and this is only optional and not mandatory .

SUS-MM vs SUS-EBP (Extended CLassic Scenario)

Hi!
We have an extended classic scenario already up and running between ERP->EBP system without XI usage.
Now it is necessary to configure SUS integration for ASN creation purpose. As I can see SAP has 2 standard configuration guides: one for SUS-MM and another one for SUS-EBP, but they are not fully relevant for ECS.
Could anybody tell me please from what system EBP or ERP it is better to send PO to SUS system when we are using extended classic scenario? And what are advantages/disadvantages of this?

Thank you for your answer! It is clear that leading PO is in EBP, but why I can't use ORDERS and ORDCHG IDOCs to transfer PO and PO chnages to SUS?
One other question: do you know whether Configuration Guide for ECS exsits (like SUS-MM and SUS-EBP documents)?

MM-EBP-SUS in classic scenario

Hi,
We have classic scenario to be implemeted with EBP-MMsystems.
Please let me know if SUS is also involved in this landscape to send the PO to the suppliers online what will be the exact process flow
Can SUS be integrated with EBP in this scenario.

SAP Note 700350 will provide full details of the restrictions between the various SRM deployments and SUS.
In summary the procurement of materials in SRM-EBP with SUS integration is supported, (although there is always been some debate about this). The procurement of services is not supported, (unless you are on SRM 7.0 ramp-up), as it is not possible to replicate a SUS service confirmation back to SRM-EBP. SAP Consulting will provide a custom solution to overcome this restriction for a price, SAP Note 868192 describes.
Remember you will need to install and deploy XI to use SUS.
SRM 6.0 onwards only supports PI 7.1 not XI.

SUS Scenarios

Hello Guys:
I am a little confused about all the different deployment scenarios when you integrate SRM with SUS, and I am not sure if you could help me to solve some questions I have
I have the requirement to be able to retrieve PO, POR, confirmations and Invoices from SUS to the backend for direct and indirect materials so what I understand is this:
If I implement the MM-SUS scenario I will be able to retrieve these documents from SUS directly to the backend system. but what happens with the requirements coming from EBP (Shopping Cart)?? can I implement also the EBP - SUS scenario in order to procure indirect materials and retrieve these documents to the backend?? the EBP should be in the classic or in the classic extended scenario?? I know the CES only support PO and POR collaboration and some enhancements need to be done for the rest of the documents, but I that means the classic scenario supports all the follow on documents (PO, POR, Confirmation and Invoice)?? Should I use the classic scenario for my EBP-SUS integration for the indirect materials and the MM-SUS for the direct ones in order to fulfill my requirement??

Hi,
You need PI in ROS if you are using ROS in conjunction with SUS. Say after selecting a vendor you now want to do business with this vendor, so you will have to push him from SRM to SUS system. PI is needed for this push.
And yes for document exchange (PO/PO response/ASN/IV) between you and the supplier you need SUS

Modification for ECS for invoice and ASN functionality in SUS

Hello Experts:
Currently I am implementing SRM 5.0 with SUS integration in ECS. I have found some references that specify that if my requirement is to have the creation of Invoices and ASN in SUS, in order to transfer these to EBP I need to do some development on my own. I have to questions regarding this:
1.- The references only talks about Materials, is it possible to do this kind of implementation also for Invoices and ASNs of Services??
2.- Any of you could provide me with some general steps of the activities to be done in order to accomplish this requirement if I am using XI.

SRM-SUS integration is mainly used for service procurement where the document flow is PO> PO Response> Confirmation/Service Entry-->Invoice.
ASN doesn't carry any meaning for service procurement. You might use ASN if you are procuring direct materials.This is covered by MM-SUS integration.
Also pl. remember that SRM-SUS integration with ECS scenario is supported only to a limited extent by SAP. This means that your SUS confirmations when they come to SRM do not get replicated to ECC backend.

Purchase order with variable value line item

Hello experts,
In SRM 7.0 extended classic scenario after PO approval Is it possible to create a line item with such that even if we change the value(increase/decrease) it wont trigger approval workflow .We needed this because we don't know the exact value for transport such that if the value is modifiable it would help us.At the time of GR it is possible if value is below but if value is more than tolerance then we have to re order the PO then it will go through full approval cycle again we dont want that.Please tell is there any way to create such line item.

Are you integrating SUS also for the follow on processes after PO creation or you will be doing the same in ERP ?
If yes then you can achieve this with SRM - SUS integration scenario, by making use of the Limits items with transport as service, where the PO will be created with the certain limit value defined by the purchaser and later vendor can consume the same against the services like varying transport costs within that defined limit in the Purchase order response.
This will not trigger the Approval process again.

SAP Standard ABAP Proxy for PO 855 SRM-R/3

855 PO Confirmation in R/3 from SRM
Can I use the ABAP Proxy "PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In" to Confirm the PO response in SRM from R/3
( In R/3 i get a idoc formatted file as 855 from vendor and can do PO Confirmation uisng custom program in R/3).
PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In is standard abap proxy out of the sap box for the SRM-SUS integration.Sender Interface is PurchaseOrderConfirmation_Out(SUS) and receiver Interface is PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In(SRM) for the PO Confirmation for SUS-SRM scenario.
The 855 file from vendor is in the form of IDOC structure and how to customize the file to be used in conjunction with PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In(as this is based on XML).
How to Convert the 855 IDoc to XML format and feed it to standard SAP Interface PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In via XI ,if yes will this work and how??

I am not intimate with the SRM-SUS integration via XI, but based on the business scenario configuration guide (https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700002897402004E/ServiceProcurementNEW.pdf) it seems that communication between SRM and SUS via XI takes place via proxies. Assuming that's what you're trying to do, to communicate to SUS via proxies, you would need to use the adapter type (XI). The communication is still technically over HTTP, but using the XI messaging protocol.
The use of an sm59 destination is optional. The XI type communication channel allows addressing types of "URL Addressing" or "HTTP Destination". If you choose the latter, you would need a sm59 destination of type H and then refer to it from the channel.
Try using a XI type receiver channel instead. If you run into additional problems, check the "XI Settings" section of the guide above.

After getting the Connection from XI to ECC , the PO Confirmation it will goes to automatically or it required any manual intereption or it will throws any error. pls suggest me...

IDOC - Proxy Scenario.

I am doing MM-SUS Interface. i am thinking the Adapters are IDOC-->Proxy, If my understanding is wrong, pls correct me. Today at 9 am i am sending the PO Request from ECC -XI-SUS , i am getting the PO Confirmation from SUS-XI-ECC after 2 days. this scenario it will come to Synchronous Scenario (OR) Asynchronous Scenario.
