PI WS client port

I want to send SOAP request from PI to WS.
1. The default http port in PI is 8002, so SOAP request will be sent through this port?
2. Can I specify a range of port for sending requests to Web service? How can I do that?
Thanks

Y dont u use the SOAP adapter directly and just specify the receiver WS url there. Where do u want to specify the port?

  • How can I preserve Client Port on CSS

    Hi guys,
    I’m wondering if there is a way to configure CSS11503 running 8.10 so that the servers in the content rules can see the client port number??
    The servers can see the client IP, but not the port!! It seems when forwarding packets to the servers in the content rule, the CSS uses a new high-number port when communicating with servers.
    Thanks

    I might be wrong, but afaik it depends on the type of balancing method used.
    As long as the CSS only needs to nat the destination it won't change the client source port.
    As soon as it get's a Layer4 rule it will intercept and setup a new connection and thus cause higher port numbers.

    That's what helped me:

  • OTU2 XP client port is SIGLOSS

    Hi,
    I have OCHCC and OCHTRAIL created between two OTU2_XP cards. The OCHTRAIL is in IS state. The OCHCC is still in OOS state. Both sides show major alarm for the client port SIGLOSS Signal Loss on Data Interface. I know for sure that one side has the client 10GIG LR connection, but the other side does not yet. Is it normal to see the alarm on both sides? Should it be only on one side where client is not connected?
    Also, when doing power meter testing, the side where the client is connected - the client equipment is sending the light, but when checking the light from the OTU2 XP client port, there is no light, is this also normal?
    Steve

    Hi Steve,
    sorry for late reply.
    can you please check following things,
    •1.     go to card view --- performance – optics PM – current values – refresh
                check this on both cards for client ports.
    •2.     Go to card view – provisioning – card – check for card configuration and AIS/Squelch option.
    Also signal loss on data interface means we are not receiving any optical power on client port.
    As you said on one side you didn’t see anything coming out from Transmit of OTU2_XP client, this is because of squelch.
    So it looks like an normal behavior of the card.
    Squelch function:
    Switch------OTU2XP(A)-------------OTU2XP(B)----------Switch
    At OTU2XP (A) if you are not receiving anything on Rx of client port connected to switch, you not transmit anything from client port of OTU2_XP(B)
    And vice-versa.

  • Administration client port

    Hi all!!
    What port does the administration client use to connect the server?
    thx to all
    Giovanni

    If you have Domain1 where you have the BPC server and Domain2 where some users needs access then you need the follow rights between domains:
    1. Domain2 must be able to access servers from Domain1
    2. Installation user for BPC from Domain1 must be able to browse the users from Domain2
    If you have trust relationship between domains then these two conditions are fine.
    If not then you have to check the two points mentioned before.

  • Configure client ports for RTMFP

    We are redesigning our Flash application to use RTMFP in place of RTMP, and we are interested in knowing exactly which ports our client app will try to use when connecting with RTMFP. From reading the documentation provided, it appears that the hostport element of Adaptor.xml allows for configuration of ports for Flash Media Server. Will changes to these port values have any effect on the ports being used by the client?

  • Change ARD Client Ports

    I have multiple computers behind a NAT firewall. I know that some routers allow you to map forwarded ports (mine does not).
    eg WAN Port 5901 -> 5900 192.168.1.5
    Is there a change I could make to a plist file or to a service to change the CLIENT SIDE ARD ports (I do this all the time with RDP and Windows through a reg hack)?
    Thanks

    Sorry, but it's not possible to change the ports ARD uses. For observe/control, you can use a different VNC server that would allow a different port, but for the other functions ARD can use only port 3283. With multiple computers behind a firewall, the best route is usually either to set up a VPN so your admin computer is part of the network, or install ARD on one system on the network and take control of that system via screen sharing to run the ARD admin application.

  • FTP client Default Data Connection Ports

    I'm developing a simple FTP client from the socket level. The only documents I am referring are J2SDK API and RFC 959. For the control connection I am ok, but for the data connection is not. According to the RFC 959 : "The user-process default data port is the same as the control connection port". The control connection port is used by my FTP command connection while connected to the FTP server, so how can I "listen" to the same port before I send the "RETR" command to the server ?
    Pls give me a hint , Thanks
    Samuel

    The way I read it is that the client opens the control connection by connecting to the server control port (usually 21) from a random port. The client also listens on its own port 21. The server will eventually establish a connection from a random port to the client port 21. I may be wrong though. The best way, IMHO, to proceed, is to use a network monitor such as TCPDUMP or WINDUMP and see what other FTP clients/servers do. I also know for a fact that there are open source FTP clients and servers, even in Java.

  • Lync Client uses wrong RTP Ports for calls from/to RGS with Agent Anonymity

    We have QoS implemented and client ports for audio, video und application defined by Set-CsConferencingConfiguration. We also use firewalls in our LAN between the different VLANs for Clients, Servers and Gateways/SBC. Only RTP from the client with the defined
    ports are allowed by the firewall. Media ByPass is enabled.
    In all normal cases, the right ports will be used and marked by GPO with the right DSCP value. But if an agent get a call from a RGS which has agent anonymity enabled, the client uses a port in the range 1024-65535 for audio. Also if you make a call on behalf
    of the RGS, the client use a random port between 1024-65535. As soon, as the source of the call is in another VLAN (e.g. a call from PSTN which comes in over a SBC in e separate VLAN), the firewall between the two VLANs block the RTP traffic.
    We see the deny on the firewall log and in the SBC log we see, the reinvite for the media by pass with the IP of the agent and a not valid port. We also see, that no RTP from the client/agent will arrive the SBC and no RTP from the SBC will arrive the client/agent.
    So the call will be disconnected, as soon as an agent wants accept the call.
    Is there an additional setting to make sure, the Lync client always use the valid RTP port range?
    This behavior exist in Lync 2010 and Lync 2013 clients.

    Hi Holger,
    Thanks for reply!
    Sure! I set all AudioPorts on all Services, but the problem are not the ports used by the server, the problem are the ports used by the client. We set the client ports to 49152 with a count of 40. The client (2013 and also 2010) use these ports correctly in all
    cases exept for call from/on behalf of an RGS with Agent Anonymity.
    If we disable the RGS agent anonymity, restart the client of the agent, then the client uses also the correct source ports for RTP.
    I've checked this behaviour now on 3 customer installations, our own productive installation and in our lab.
    Because until now only one of our customers have firewalls between the internal VLANs, only this single customer have the issues...

    Stephan

  • How to change Port for SAP Client on SAP R/3 Server?

    The defualt port for SAP GUI Client is 3200.
    How could I change the SAP GUI Client port to say 5222 instead of 3200?
    How can I view the full list of all ports required by SAP R/3?

    Freddy,
    I don't have the document handy but there was a document on service.sap.com/security which would give you a list of all the ports. SAP's wording is some thing like "specific ports are fixed and SAP does not support changing that port number".
    In case of GUI client and your example of 3200, as you know 00 is based on the fact that that is your instance number. You could change last two numbers by assigning a different instance number (and not 00).
    Thanks

  • What are the ports required for the Audio, Video and A/V conferencing when the following end points are enabled for QoS in Lync 2013 server?

    Hi All,
    What are the ports required for the Audio, Video and A/V conferencing when the following clients are enabled for QoS in Lync 2013 server?
    Client Type
    Port range  and Protocol required for Audio
    Port range and Protocol required for
    Video
    Port range and Protocol required for
    A/Vconferencing
    Windows Desktop   Client
    Windows mobile App
    Iphone
    Ipad
    Andriod phone
    Andriod Tablet
    MAC desktop client
    Please advise. Many Thanks.

    Out of the box, 1024-65535 for all of the client ports.  :)
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398833.aspx
    You'll want to tune your client ports a bit
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj204760.aspx as seen here, and then the client ports would use those ranges which is easier to set QoS markings.  I'm not sure the mobile clients respect that setting.
    Elan's got the best writeup for Windows clients here:
    http://www.shudnow.net/2013/02/16/enabling-qos-for-lync-server-2013-and-various-clients-part-1/
    However, the marking of the packets is the tricky part.  Windows can do it via Group Policy, but for the other clients you'll need to have the network specifically prioritize ports regardless of DSCP markings.  You have to do it based on ports
    as the traffic could be peer to peer.

  • While open socket,why JDK1.4.2 open additional port byt JDK 1.4.1 do not?

    Dear All:
    I am programming swing client project
    I found an interesting difference betwen JDK1.4.1 & JDK1.4.2
    While open socket to server ,jdk1.4.2 stub in server will open random port to the "request" client
    (see below)
    ==============================
    client ----------port:7001---------->ejb server JDK1.4.2
    <--------port : ? (random)--
    =================================
    but in jdk1.4.1 ,only
    ====================================
    client ----------port:7001---------->ejb server JDK1.4.1
    ======================================
    This phenomenon ,confuesed me these days.Have any parameter to fix the socket connection rule for the latter JDK version?
    Best Regards
    john

    There's not enough info there: there should be a local and a remote port number per connection; but it's not possible the way you describe it. It's probably another connection from the client to the server, maybe for DGC?

  • Ports used by the child socket which was created by server_socket.accept()?

    When a server socket creates a child socket, on which port it(child) listens? When I tried to print getLocalPort(), it is always printing the port on which server was listening. When a server socket accepts a connection it creates a new socket, I think. It should listen on a port other than the server socket's port. Otherwise if all the child sockets and server listen at the same port my Multithreaded server should not work. Fortunately it is working.
    Can anyone of you please clarify this child-port-number?
    Seems that Sun people limited the length of the subject field. Is it?
    Seenu.

    when you create the socket on your clients you can specify which port the client will communicate from, otherwise it will be randomly generated by the machine:
    // CONSTRUCTOR TO USE
    Socket(InetAddress address, int port, InetAddress localAddr, int localPort)
    just to clear something up, why do you care what the client ports are unless you are CLOSING the connection first, re-opening, and sending data back. once the client connects the stream is open. the only port you need to free up for your firewall is the port the sever socket is listening on so the clients dont get rejected when trying to connect.
    i hope this helps.
