PI /XI compatiblity with content
Hi,
Does anyone know if the latest PI/XI patches are all ways downwardly compatible with previous SAP supplied XI content?
Is there a SAP document to confirm this?

Hi Andrew,
XI patches are always downward compatible. If the XI content is changed with a specific patch for a particular SAP Application, then SAP will release a new version of the content. Also the SLD content( Product and Software Component Version) will be automatically updated with the patch release.

I get no error for consistency.. I read everywhere and I know i need to set the appropriate aggregation levels in the various dims and facts LTS properties to help OBIEE understanding our model, but how to do that.. how do i decide... how should I approach, what should be the aggregation level, what details.
When i click More button i see different options: Copy, Copy From, Get Levels, Check Level, what do these mean.
Aggregation Content, group by - Logical Level or Column which one should i choose and how should I decide.
Can anyone explain the Content Tab in details and from scratch with some example and why we get these errors.... I know many people who are well versed with many other things related to RPD but this. A little efforts of explaining from you guys will really be appreciated.

Option 1:
My tables in physical layer are joined as below:

Same way i model it in BMM

Here D1 is non Conformed Dimension for F2 and D3 is non Conformed dim for F1. Later create Dimensional hierarchies, I tried setting up the content levels
I go Sources>content tab of Fact F1 I set
Dimensions----------- Logical level
D1---------------------- D1 Detail
D2---------------------- D2 Detail
D3---------------------- D3 Total
then, I go Sources>content tab of Fact F2 I set
Dimensions----------- Logical level
D1---------------------- D1 Total
D2---------------------- D2 Detail
D3---------------------- D3 Detail
Then, I also go in all the dimensions and set their content levels to Details, but it still gives me errors not sure where I am going wrong in setting the content levels.
I need to know whether the way I have modeled it in BMM is right,
Option 2:
I can combine the two facts in a single Logical Fact or the above design should also work.
(F1&F2)<--D1, D2 , D3 joined separately using complex logical joins.
what will be the content tab details?

I'am getting an update error when am trying to upgrade to newer version (4.3.2)..the error message content shows that i tunes could not back up the i pod,because the back up was corrupt or not compatible with ipod..can anyone help me out to fix this issue

It is annoying to download an app that subsequently states it is only for iPhone 4 or OS x.x.x
Is there some way of filtering content or content search to show only those items that are compatible with whatever hardware/firmware I happen to be using?
Interestingly in the Apple drop down list of Products the earliest iPhone shown is 3G !! Have they disowned all models they sold before that variant? I have an iPhone 2G. Works well, does what it says on the tin, have no reason/need to throw away and buy another. I found a web article that confirms that it is possible to clean ("sanitize" or "scrub") the files manually on Mac. It even provides a link that (I am assuming) details how to do it.

HT3209 Why can't I see an HD movie I purchased? My computer is compatible with 1080P content?
I just purchased an HD movie and it's fully downloaded, however when I try to play it, it doesn't do anything, it seems like itunes is working on it but nothing happens. My computer is compatible with 1080P Content? Can anyone help?
It worked for me by going to System Preferences, Display, and changing from "Best for Retina Display" to "Scaled" then moving the slider all of the way to the right (more space). Evidently, the native resolution for Best for Retina Display is not truly HD, but it can be adjusted to an HD standard.

Cannot install Logic from DVD version 9.0.0. because it is not compatible with the latest OS 10.8.3
As I tried to install Logic 9.0.0 the OS comes out with a message saying that the OS is not compatible with this version of Logic.
I have Logic conventional DVD Software package.

This means that you are declaring a work area and not an internal table, whereas while binding we need to pass an internal table.
Declare your table as follow,

How do I restore info from iCloud onto my new device?You would have to update your device first, before you can restore your iPad from your backup. Resolution: set it up as anew device, then update your device to the latest version "Settings > General > Updates", then reset your device again "Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings" and then after the iPad restarts again, choose to restore your device from your backup.

I'm facing this problem:
When my .Net application tries to access the DB, I get this error message above.
The application is into the same machine of DB and the operational system is Windows Server Enterprise 64 bits.
I'm comparing to another machine that has the same scenario but runs in Windows Vista 64 bits. This problem doesn't happen and I can normally access the DB.
The both database versions are 10g Release 2 (10.2) and all components from Oracle Database Components 10.2.0.2.21 are installed as the containing bellow:

Often the error "The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client" is raised when the unmanaged dll OraOpsX.dll can't be found, can't be loaded, or is the wrong version. For version 10.2.0.x of ODP.NET and .NET Framework 2.x the file should be called "OraOps10w.dll" and should be found in the %ORACLE_HOME%\bin directory.
Since the ODAC pieces are installed on the same host as the database, are they in a separate Oracle Home or the same Oracle Home as the database software? If there are multiple Oracle Home directories, which one is in the system path first?
I would start with verifying the version of OraOps10w.dll and the system path on the server. You might also confirm that the Oracle Home directory (and everything under it) has the following permissions for Authenticated Users:
- Read & Execute
- List folder contents
- Read

ADF from JDeveloper 10.1.2 not compatible with iAS 9.0.1

We developed an ADF Application with JDeveloper 10.1.2 and we use the ADF interMedia domains (e.g. oracle.ord.im.OrdDocDomain). The application runs fine in JDeveloper, but doesn't run on our iAS 9.0.4.1. We get the following exception:

The problem is that the JDBC version of the iAS 9.0.4.1 is missing the class DatumWithConnection that is indirectly referenced by the interMedia classes supplied with JDeveloper 10.1.2.
In detail, oracle.ord.im.OrdDoc uses oracle.sql.STRUCT. The inheritance hierarchy of STRUCT is different in the JDBC versions on iAS 9.0.4.1 (oracle.sql.Datum <- oracle.sql.STRUCT) and JDeveloper 10.1.2 (oracle.sql.Datum <- oracle.sql.DatumWithConnection <- oracle.sql.STRUCT). The class file of oracle.ord.im.OrdDoc (from 10.1.2. JDeveloper) was apparently compiled the new JDBC driver version since it contains a reference to oracle.sql.DatumWithConnection. And that class cannot be found if run on iAS 9.0.4.1 with its old JDBC version.
I think this is a very serious problem, since it means that ADF from JDeveloper 10.1.2 is not compatible with iAS 9.0.4.1, in contradiction to the support matrix (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/papers/10g/as_supportmatrix.html).
Upgrading the JDBC Driver on the iAS seems to be the only clean solution for this problem (we also tried using old versions of the ordim.jar etc. but that always leads to other problems). But simply exchanging the JDBC jar-files on the server breaks the Enterprise Manager on our iAS installation.
I have two questions:
1) Is there a recommended workaround for the compatibility issue described above?
2) Is there a documented and supported way to upgrade the JDBC driver of iAS 9.0.4.1? I searched OTN and MetaLink and haven't found anything about this.

More info on what we tested:
We have thoroughly checked that the 10.1.2. ADF runtime was correctly deployed on our iAS 9.0.4.1. We installed a OC4J 9.0.4.0.0 standalone on the same linux machine as our iAS 9.0.4.1 and deployed our application on it, getting the same error (java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/sql/DatumWithConnection) as on the iAS. Replacing the JDBC drivers of the OC4J standalone with the version that came with JDeveloper 10.1.2 solved the problem.I don't think that mixing classes from different jar file is a good idea. Nevertheless, we tested this approach already. Adding the DatumWithConnection.class from the 10.1.0.3.0 JDBC version to the jar file of the original JDBC version (of the iAS 9.0.4.1.0) caused a java.lang.VerifyError to appear.
The DatumWithConnection class is not simply added in the newer JDBC version. It is inserted into the inheritance hierarchy of oracle.sql.STRUCT and oracle.sql.Datum. Simply providing the new class next to the old JDBC driver will not work.
To give more information about what's wrong with updating the complete JDBC driver, I justed tested it again. To update the JDBC driver I stopped the server, changed the contents of jdbc/lib, started the server. I tried it with JDBC Version 9.2.0.5 as well as 10.1.0.3.0.
In both cases, our own application works, i.e. no more NoClassDefFoundError caused by oracle.sql.DatumWithConnection.
The Enterprise Manager shows strange behaviour, however. Some features work as usual but, for example, when I click on the "Applications" tab for our OC4J instance, we just get the following error shown in the browser:

Bose Sound Docks are no longer compatible with Apple iPhones or iPods?
When plugging my iPhone 4S or 5, or my iPod 3rd Gen or 7th Gen into my Bose Sound Dock, I recieve a message that reads, "This iPhone/iPod is not compatible with this accessory" and will not play stored music.
Background Info:
- The Bose Sound Dock was designed to support Apple products.
- All software/OS on the Apple products is current as of Dec 2013.
- The Bose product doesn't have update-able software associated with it.
- Clearly, something has changed with the Apple products.
What can be done to fix this so that iPhones and iPods will play again on Bose products?
I've unplugged/replugged the Bose Sound Dock, and I've powered down and powered up the Apple products expecting that something would reset, but these steps have proved to be ineffective and nothing has changed.Ok, I was having the same issue which is why I came across this post (in search of an answer). I MAY have figured it out...I have an iPod, don't-remember-what generation, and it has always worked with my Bose sound dock portable speaker, approx 2-3 years. Anyway, a few months ago, the Bose stopped picking up that I "docked" my iPod onto it. A long while has gone by and we haven't done anything about it bc our speaker was out of warranty and didn't want to spend the $100 it costs to repair (thru Bose, don't know about other places $, but I've learned the hard way to stick to manufacturer for high-end brand device repair). Long story short, we really missed using our speaker outside and I decided to send it in instead of buying a new one (new one-year warranty comes with the repair, so I figured it was $100 cheaper than buying a new one). An added note, we tried putting my husbands iPhone 4S on the dock and it didn't read it, either; the Bose didn't charge either device, didn't acknowledge in anyway that a device was on the dock attachment piece. Back to present day... I got my speaker back from Bose, and I was so happy to try it out. I put my iPod on the attachment, and voila! It charged the iPod (so clearly it registered that a device was attached), but DID NOT PLAY MUSIC....Exact same message about incompatibility. So, when my husband got home, we tried his phone (this is last week, literally, and I was mad thinking it was the recent apple software update and that I just threw away $100). Guess what? His phone worked! Pandora, his music, you name it. When I called Bose and suggested it could be a software update issue? They replied it wasn't, that the sound dock works with the devices after update, but the piece was still bad, as it was not working correctly if it was not playing the iPod, regardless of the new update, and/or what generation it was. So my thoughts are that it is the attachment where you sit your device on the Bose that has gone faulty. I packaged up my speaker and it's going backs to Bose at their expense to repair. It stinks that I won't have it for Christmas to play music as we enjoy the outdoors, but at this point, I will just be content if they get it to work again!

<Serial Number Edited by Host>I got the hard drive upgrade kit and now have the old drive in the On-The-Go-Pro external enclosure and the new drive in the Macbook Pro. I booted from the old drive and now I'm ready to restore to the new drive using Disk Utility but I'm not sure exactly what to select as the Source and Destination.
Three disks are listed in the left frame. The new Samsung disk, the old drive in the OTGPro external enclosure with a volume called "Macintosh HD" and something called "disk 2" with a volume of Mac OS X Base System under it.
I think I should select "Macintosh HD" as the source and the Samsung Drive as the destination. But I'm not certain.
What's the correct source and destination? -
This feature is disabled because it is not compatible with RTF???????
Anybody, have this error. I don't why this is occurring. Everytime I try to paste a table inside another one (nesting) I get this error saying I can't.
The two fixes:
1. was to save the file as WORD 97-2002 RTF (*.doc) paste the nested table, save it back to rtf
or
2. draw the table inside the other table.
both methods are super annoying....
Is there patch from microsoft we need to apply? The version mortenson is using is Microsoft Word 2002 (10.6835.6830) SP3.

Contains nested tables FalseThe requirements for Shark Dash say that it requires a 3rd-generation or 4th-generation iPod touch. It won't install nor run on a 2nd-gen iPod touch. Check the requirements for the other apps you can't get to load; I'll wager they similarly are not compatible with the 2nd-generation iPod touch.
And if you have a 2nd-gen iPod touch, you don't have iOS 5.1, so you probably will want to correct your profile information. I'd also suspect that your other iPod really isn't a 2nd-generation unit.

How can I install a version of Safari compatible with MacOS 7.5
At some point I downloaded and installed Safari 6.0.2 on a MacBook Pro (4.1) running OS 10.7.4. When I tried to open it, an error message appeared stating that this version of Safari is incompatible with OS 10.7.x and is compatible with OS 10.8. Since then I updated to OS 10.7.5. After completing the update the iCloud System Preferences automatically opened. Next to the Bookmarks Icon was a button saying "Install Safari." Pushing this button brings me to a webpage that appears to be advertising copy for Safari but seems to lack any option for downloading Safari. Searching for an OS 10.7.5 compatible version I came across a page with quite a number of Safari downloads at Apple - Support - Downloads. This page offers dowloads of Saafari for earlier versions of Safari, but not for an OS 10.7.x compatible version of Safari. What is the solution? If I upgraded to OS 10.8 or OS 10.9 would I gain access to Safari once again? I'd be most appreciative of any help with this issue. Thanks.

I restarted the computer. After it restarted Safari had regained its proper icon. However, when I tried to open Safari, it immediately crashed with the following error message:

Hello, in the ISE 1.2 version it was possible to say that some fields are mandatory like first name or company. I cannot find this setting in the ISE 1.3 version. Regards filip
