The information behind the blue-button for MI34, MI38 (as you mentioned) does not have enough detail. It's basically one-page. Is there another instructional source available? How is the logical file MMIM_PHYSICAL_INVENTORY_DOCUMENTS tied to the physical, can you clarify? Not sure how to determine where the sequential file being processed needs to be located. Thanks!

• Handling Unit Status (0031) - Physical Inventory

Hello Friends,
We need to know when the system change HU status to 0031 in table VEKP (HU Header) . We assumed that, it will be during physical inventory posting for HU's and for testing the following transactions are executed -
1. HUINV01 -
2. HUINV03
3. HUINV04
4. HUINV05
However after physical inventory doc posted and material document generated for difference, system still showing the HU Status as 0020.
In this regard, please suggest whether we are doing the correct way or what is the method to adjust the HU's and when the system update the status 0031 in HU table.
Appreciate your supprt.

Hi
For MB1C
Try to understand whether a materia document has been created or not.
For this aim check MB51 with relevant parameters (that you have done MB1C such as material number, mov. type:561, posting date etc)
If not then this shows that it hasnt been done i mean no update.
Try MB1c again
For the other issue
You can use all the functions of Inventory Management, with the exception of the following:
u2022 Physical inventory in Inventory Management does not support Handling Unit Management.

• Movement types and physical inventory posting

HI Expert,
All inventory differences are currently booked using SAP-movement types (MVT) 291 and 292.
Inventory differences have to be booked via the correct movement types in order to increase transparency to better analyze real consumption vs. lost inventories
For inventory differences during a physical inventory use MVT 701/702 and for inventory differences other than after a physical inventory use MVT 711/712. Currently these movement types are blocked for use in our company. So it needs to be implemented soon.So
1.I want to know if this action can be implemented.
2.Could you tell me what's the difference between the MVT291/292 and 701/702/711/712.
Thanks

.Could you tell me what's the difference between the MVT291/292 and 701/702/711/712.
291 na s292 are the movements type when in u can issues material to any of the account assignment manually like cost center , project wbs, network, sales order etc.
701/702 and the correct physical inventory movement type this are trigred only when u do proper physical inventor process in SAP for storage location which is not managed with warehouse management
711/712 and the correct physical inventory movement type this are trigred only when u do proper physical inventor process in SAP for storage location are managed by warehouse management.
U will have to remove the bloked movement type 701/702 to use Physical inventory process
hope this helps

• Physical Inventory Status Flag Not Reset after Year End Inventory Procedure

Hi,
We are just done with the Year End Inventory Procedures, and to my surprise, a lot of Storage Bins are having their Physical Inventory status flag as ACTIVE, which they should not have.
An example bin has incorrect status-u201Ccountedu201D in the associated inventory record number . LINV status is L-cleared. LINK status is Z-counted, LINP status is Z-counted and physical inventory flag is ON in table LAGP, but status must be L-cleared and physical inventory flag should be OFF (or blank) in table LAGP.
Our users did not use LI20 to clear the empty bins or bins had no difference to post (meaning book qty & count qty are the same).
I already tried the Program RLREOLPQ and OSS Note 824904, but no its of no use in our Case.
Any guess/hint for the problem?

I solved this with thehelp of a Zprogram writeen wrt the OSS note mentioned above in the question.

• Help needed in Physical Inventory

If we are doing Physical Inventory in IM locations and we go ti MI01 there are tabs for Physical Inventory number and Physical inventory reference.
I understand why they are used just by clicking F1 over there, but how do we create those number.
Do we group different Physical Inventory Documents .....I am not able to understand how to use those fields.
Can anybody help me out in that.
Thanks
Mike

Hi,
It's a physical document number used outside SAP system and the same is mentioned over here (Similar to any reference field like reference number in Tcode: MIRO).
Grouping Physical Inventory Documents by Physical Inventory Number
Above the physical inventory document number, there is a physical inventory number. You can use this to group physical inventory documents that belong together organizationally in order to manage them more efficiently. This allows you to display the physical inventory documents for a particular month or department directly without having to search the list of inventory differences.
You issue physical inventory numbers when creating and changing physical inventory documents. To do this, enter a number or term of you choice on the initial screen or in the Physical inventory number field in the physical inventory document header.
(Physical Inventory number which will be used in report requirements and for grouping purposes so that you can have reports based on this input. (Just check reports MI22, MI24 etc))
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Viswanath

Hello,
Please refer node : Inventory Management and Physical Inventory Data Transfer
in IMG
Inventory Management and Physical Inventory Data Transfer
The data transfer workbench is a central transaction for the automatic transfer of data from a legacy system into the ERP system. It offers the tools required for the initial and subsequent data transfer.
The complete documentation about the data transfer workbench is in the SAP Library:
CA - Cross-Application Components -> CA - Data Transfer Workbench
The documentation tells you step by step how to carry out the data transfer, and which object-specific special features you should be aware of.
I hope this helps.

• Physical Inventory -PIAC Status active

Hi All,
I am facing the below error after deleting a item in physical inventory document.
Can any one let me know how to remove this and what is EQU. I know something is to be done in BS22.
System Status PIAC is active (EQU 2172506)
Regards,
Umesh

I cant help you much, as I have no experience with serial numbers yet.
But why does one remove items from a physical count? I cant really imagine a business background for such.
If the item is proposed in an inventory doc, then I count it, even I may already know that this item is not there or placed somewhere else. of course I then have to create another count to count the item where it is, to finally have a correct stock in my system. But this is the nature of doing physical inventory.
Unfortunatly you cannot undelete an item that is marked for deletion in the inventory document. I would try to reenter this material as a new item to the same inventory document and then count it as - hoping that SAP will then remove the PIAC status.
But before you should check if the very same item is not included into any other active inventory doc.

• List physical inventory documents by status

Need to generate a list of physical inventory documents in Not Counted or Counted status, but only need it at the document level. (This is non-warehouse managed inventory)
MI20 and MI24 show inventory documents for different statuses, but they all list the output by document line item. There does not seem a way to compress the list to only the document number without the line item detail. I've checked the layouts and summation levels without any luck.
Ideas?

Hi
In MI20 and MI24, you will not be able to get the list at document level because the count in a PI doc is done Item wise. In the same PI Doc, some items may have been counted and some not yet.
However, you can group the list by PI doc from the Selection screen itself and then using the Layout function, view only the PI doc no and Sl no of the item and Count status (Sl no of item is mandatory field and cannot be hidden).
The other option is through SE16 (Tabl name ISEG). You have many options here. But still you will not be able to get the doc per your requirement. Your requirement has to be a Z report.
Hope this clarifies.
Thanks

• Antimalware Overall Status and History - Report

Good morning,
I have setup a subscription to the default report in SCCM named "Antimalware Overall Status and History". When the report is sent out it sends a nice pie chart with categories underneath it. The categories are the following :-
- Protected
- At Risk
- Not yet Installed
- Client Not Supported
- Inactive
- Configuration Manager Client Not Installed
The report works great and it adds all of our clients in to the correct category. However my question is - How does SCCM determine which category clients are added to. Are there certain requirements that a client must meet before it is added to the "Protected"
category.
Also is it possible to edit the settings for these categories?
Regards,

Hi,
Since it is related to SCCM, I recommend you to ask in the forum below for professional assistance:
