Pick Pack Time and Route

Hello Everyone,
I know that Pick and pack times are using the Shipping point working times or calendar.
Just to confirm, can I say that Pick / pack time cannot be derived from the Route?
regards
John

This is really depends on what value you set in the field Determine Pick/Pack time in the shipping point definition. If value A is selected then the pick/pack time becomes route dependant.
By definition the pick/pack time is the time in days that is required for allocating goods to a delivery as well as the time in days that is required for picking and packing. It is calculated using the shipping point, the route, and the weight group of the order item. (from help.sap.com at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/dd/5607e7545a11d1a7020000e829fd11/frameset.htm). So the route can impact the pick/pack time.

  • Pick/pack time and loading time in route

    HI People,
If  I make entry in the shipping point that loading time and pick/pack time as route dependent then where do I enter these times in route as I didn't find any feild to enter these in routes.

You can control scheduling by sales doc type & shipping point. Logical path - Logistic Execution-shipping-basic shipping function -scheduling-delivery scheduling & Transportation sch.
Trasportation planning will determine below mentioned fields.
    Check-in
    Loading start
    Loading end
    Shpmt completion
    Shipment start
    Shipment end.
Picking, packing will be controlled by delivery scheduling
give me ur email id will forward u the document for it

  • Pick/Pack Times not relevant in Stock Transport Orders?

Hi gurus. I have a question.
I have Pick/Pack times maintained in our Shipping Routes. In my tests I notice that entering days or hours here modify my "Material Availability Date" in Sales Orders, so I need to have the material on stock some time before shipment.
My question is, are these Picik/Pack times relevant for Stock Transport Orders? There's no "Material Availability Date" in those documents, and in my tests, the time I put as Pick/Pack time doesn't affect the STOs.
If these values are not relevant for STOs, I'd like to know, is there something that will?

    Hi,
It did not work. I created a new pricing procedure as a copy of the standard for STO (RM2000). Then, I added the tax condition "NAVS". I created a new document type as a copy of UB and assign the new pricing procedure to it. I also changed the field selection for STO and made the tax code optional.
I created STO using new document type. Tax code and tax jurisdiction code are defaulting now based on condition record NAVS. However, taxes are not calculated. Base amount shows as zero and no tax calculations are done.

  • Different Pick/Pack Time

    Hi Fiends,
Can anybody advise me how can we have different Pick/Pack Time for different materials but with same Shipping Point ?
    Regards,
    Harsh

    Hi,
As far as Standard SAP goes, you will not be able to do this. Pick / Pack time can be only Route dependent, Route Independent or it can be Defaulted from shipping point. You might have to build a logic based on some criteria such as material group (as having this for each material is practically impossible) and use the user exit to run this code to determine different pick pack time for each material.
    Hope this helps.

  • CRM 5.0 ATP check to ECC not including pick / pack time in ECC 6.0

Been searching SDN & OSS, our ATP check in 5.0 is reading the proper inventory in ECC but when no inventory is available the date being returned is the total replenishment leadtime in the ECC material master. (good)
When the order is entered in ECC if no stock exist, the total replenishment leadtime become the material availability date in the ECC schedule line, we have 2 days pick / pack time in the shipping point so the confirmed date is 2 factory days after the material availibility date.
Therefore in CRM the ATP date in CRM looks to be 2 days earlier than desired or what ECC provides.  I also set up the vendor partner in CRM but that did not help.
Anyone have experience with this one?
One similiar topic, if total replenshiment leadtime is 3 days and saturday & sunday are not workdays.  a CRM order placed on saturday gives wednesday (monday, tuesday, wednesday) as the date.    ECC gives thursday (tuesday, wednesday, thursday)

    I had 2 issues
    - I didn't have the X set in SMOFPARSFA so i was doing availibility information which doesn't include scheduling (pick pack)
    - other issue was timezones which required note 1423767

  • Pick Pack time in shipping point.

    Hi Gurus,
I would like to have a clear understanding on the Pick Pack time / Loading time in Shipping point Configuration.
    1. I have configured shipping point with factory calendar assigned to it.
    2. I have given the pick pack time in the shipping point config.
Now the question is, i'm able to give fraction values also here , say 2.5 days for pick pack time,.
what does this mean? how do i infer.
    Please provide clarity.
I do not want details on how the dates are determined in Sale order w.r.t to this details, instead more clarity on how days will be taken if fractional values are given in days and not in hours.
    Regards,
    Basha.

System will consider decimal based on factory calender and work times fields
If work times are defined, lead times can be set in hours/minutes and applied to the work times.
The following priorities are used for scheduling:
Factory calendar and work times maintained
The lead times are used in hours / minutes work time. Here, both the work days defined in the calendar as well as the work times on the individual weekdays (Monday through Sunday) are taken into consideration.
Additionally maintained lead times in calendar days are possibly not taken into consideration if the lead times are not maintained in hours/minutes. The work time would then be zero from the schedulung view.
    Factory calendar maintained
The work times in calendar days are used and the workdays defined in the calendar are included. From the scheduling view, each day has 24 hours (in contrast to the lead time in hours/minutes where the work times are taken into consideration).
Additionally maintained lead times in hours/minutes are possibly not taken into consideration if the lead times in calendar days are not maintained. The work time would then be zero from the scheduling view.
    No factory calendar maintained
As above, the system calculates only using calendar days, and work-free days, such as weekends or public holidays, are not taken into consideration

  • Pick/pack time

    Hello
I am trying to use pack time in a Stock Transfer Order and corresponding deliveries. I have several materials with  different pack times so I would like to know how can I manage this time. I have been able to add a pack time in the shipping point, but in that way I have the same time for all the materials. According to the weight it is possible to have a different time according to the weight group. I have not been able to make it work properly  but anyway this is not exactly what I am looking for. I wonder if there is a parameter in the material master to make this difference possible.
Could anyone help me with this issue?
    Thanks!
    Eduardo

  • Lead time and Route time estimation used for deliveries

    Dear Friends,
Can anybadyu let us know how to estimate lead time and route times for deliveries, and what is the exact meaning of the these two with differences
if possible can you please give me the configuration steps, as i know at this movement route times are maintained in the route and lead times are maintained in the material master MRP view.
what was these field impacts in the delivery..
requesting your view as soon as possible
    Thanks
    raju.

    Hi there,
Lead time is the time in which the material will be available. It is called Replenishment lead time RLT. It is maintained in MRP view of material master. RLT can either be inhouse processing time for inhouse manufactured goods or order time + goods receipt processing time for externally procured goods.
Whereas time mentioned in route is used to calculate transit time during delivery scheduling. That is the time taken for the goods to reach customer from shipping point.
Both the times are imp for delivery scheduling.
When the customer places an order, if the material is not available, then the system will take end of RLT as material availability date. From that date, it will carry forward scheduling & propose a new confirmed delivery date.
    Regards,
    Sivanand

  • Transportation/pick pack dates

Our pick pack time and transportation planning dates changed on the sales order.
For some reason the deliveries are now goods issuing on the same day as the material availability date.
Where is the pick pack date, loading date or Tp date set?
What config do I need to check?

    Hi,
    You can search the forum, where you can find enough responses on this topic;
    For example, check the link

  • Transportation lead,pick/pack & Transit time

    Dear Friends,
After considering transpoartation lead time,pick/pack time, loading time & transit time system do confirm whether stock is available or not.....my doubt is whr do we maintain the above said times in the system?........

    Hi saravanakumar
Transit time and Transportation lead time is taken  from or maintained in  Route
Loading time and pick/pack time comes from shipping point
You need to have clarity on backward scheduling  and  forward scheduling
For example you are creating a sales order today 15.02.2009 and the requested delivery date is 25.02.2009 from the customer side
    Transit time is 2 Days
Transportaion planning time is 2 days
    Loading time is 1 day
    Pick/pack time is 1 day
    Consider these settings
Now backward calculation  System does a backward calculation first
25.02.2009 (requested delivery date) -- 2 days (transit days) -- 1 day (loading time) -- 2 days (transportation planning time) = that is on 20.02.2009 there should be enough stocks in the unrestricted stocks and system checks stocks for this day or date ,that is 20.02.2009  ,whether the stock is available enough
This date 20.02.2009 becomes the material available date
Note Transportaion planning time and Pick/pack time will run parallely and the higest of these two is considered for delivery scheduling so in our case Transportaion planning time is 2 days that is the highest and hence it is taken for calculation and not pick /pack time
If the system finds enough stocks on 20.02.2009 (that means it performs a availability check for 20.02.2009 depending on OVZ9 settings) that is material available date then it confirms schedule lines for that order this is backward
Same example order is registered today 15.02.2009 and if the customer wants stocks on 17.02.2009
    This means 17.02.2009-2 days (transit days)-1 day(loading time)-2 days (transportation planning time) = 12.02.2009
The order registered date is 15.02.2009and the material availablity date is past 12.02.2009 or material available date goes to past.
    This is illogical
This means backward is failing here and now forward calculation takes place
    Forward calculation
If you have enough stocks today 15.02.2009 + 2 days transportation planning time+ 1 day loading time+2 days transit time = 20.02.2009
This means that is on 20.02.2009 the stocks can be confirmed for this order as against a requested delivery date of 17.02.2009
In forward the system will give 2 schedule lines first that is requested delivery date that is 17.02.2009(in our case) with ZERO qty and the second date as 20.02.2009 with full qty
In backward you will find only one date in the schedule lines which is the same as requeted delivery date that is 25.02.2009 in our case
Hope i made things little bit clear to you
Transit and transporatation planning will come from route if route is maintained otherewise it is taken as 0 days
Loading and pick pack time will be maintained in shipping pt  if not maintained also then it is taken as 0 days (in enterprise structure logistice execution and your shipping point details it is maintained)

    ROUTE DETERMINATION
Step: 6 - Define Transportation Zone
    Path: Sprou2014Logistics Executionu2014Transportationu2014Basic Transportation Function---Routesu2014Route Determinationu2014Define Transportation Zone.
Step: 7 - Maintain County and Transportation Zone for Shipping Point.
Path: Under the Same Menu path--- Maintain County and Transportation Zone for Shipping Point.
Select the Shipping point and enter the Country and Transportation Zone
Step: 8 - Define Transportation Groups.
Path: Under the Same Menu path---Define Transportation Groups
Step: 9 - Maintain Route Determination
Path: Under the Same Menu path--Maintain Route Determination.
    Go to Customer master data.
In Address of General data. Enter the Transportation Zone id. and save
    You will get the route.
The system takes into account the following 4 conditions for determining the Route u2013
    a. The country and the Departure Zone of the shipping point +
    b. Shipping Conditions agreed in the sales document type or with the sold to party +
    c. Transportation Group assigned to the material +
    d. The country & Transportation Zone of the ship to party (in CMR)
Route can be manually overwritten during a sales order processing. You can re-determine the route in the outbound delivery based on weight (weight group) provided it is allowed in the configuration of the delivery type.
Scheduling takes into account the following times u2013
    a. Transit Time +
    b. Loading Time +
    c. Pick/Pack Time +
    d. Transportation Lead/Planning Time.
The loading time and pick/pack time come from the shipping point whereas the transit time and transportation lead time come from the route.
The system performs backward scheduling first to confirm the required quantity checking the material availability on the material availability date. If the material availability date or the transportation planning date falls before the order date, the system automatically carries out forward scheduling and will propose a future date. A delivery type can be customized to carry out rescheduling if required during the delivery processing.

  • SHIPMENT AND ROUTE

    hi all,
please send me the documentation for shipment and route customization document with screen shots . very argent plz
please forward document to this mail id [email protected]
    will be rewarded full points.

    Hi,
    ROUTE DETERMINATION
Route can be determined in sales order with the help of 5 parameters: depart country, shipping conditions in customer master record, transportation group in material master, destination country, and weight group.
Weight group plays a vital role. The purpose of route determination is like in scenario's where company will ship goods to the customer in various ways not only that it has optional of having n number of routes select the best one & based on his customer priority (time & money.) for sending samples company will go for air, for delivering ordered goods it can go for different mode of transportation & routes.
    Route Determination:
Departure country zone (Shipping Point) +destination country zone (Ship to Party) +shipping condition (CMR or Sales Doc Header – Partners + Transportation Group (Material Master) +Weight Group (Optional) = Route. (0VRF)
Plant determination in the sales order: System will search first for Customer material Info Record, if it is not maintained there it will check for customer master record, if it is not maintained here also system will search for material master record...
    Configuration part:
    SPRO > Routes Basic shipping functions  Shipping -LE -
    Define Routes:
    Define mode of transportation
    Define shipping types.
Assign shipping types to mode of transportation.
    Define Routes and Stages
    Maintain Stages For All Routes
    Route Determination:
    Define Transportation Zones
Maintain Country And Transportation Zone For Shipping Point
    Define Transportation Groups
    Define Weight Groups
Maintain Route Determination in the combination of
    a) Departure country/Departure Zone - maintained in shipping point configuration
    b) Shipping condition from the sales order
    c) Transportation planning group maintained in General/Plant view of material master.
    d) Destination country/Transportation zone maintained in General view -Address of Customer master of Ship to Party
    SHIPPING PROCESS:
Shipping is an important part of the logistics chain in which guaranteed customer service and distribution planning support play major roles.
In shipping processing, all delivery procedure decisions can be made at the start of the process by
Taking into account general business agreements with your customer
    Recording special material requests
Defining shipping conditions in the sales order
, the outbound delivery supports all shipping activities including picking, packing, transportation and goods issue. During the outbound delivery process, shipping-planning information is recorded, status of shipping activities is monitored and data accumulated during shipping processing is documented. When the outbound delivery is created, the shipping activities, such as picking or delivery scheduling, are initiated, and data that is generated during shipping processing is included in the delivery.
    Range of Functions
An outbound delivery can be created as follows:
With reference to a sales order
With reference to a stock transport order
With reference to a subcontract order
    With reference to a project
    Without any reference
Depending on your requirements, you can create outbound deliveries automatically using worklists, or manually. You can make agreements with your customers for complete and partial deliveries and for order combinations. Outbound deliveries can be combined to form a single group of deliveries.
As soon as the material availability date or the transportation scheduling date for a schedule line is reached, the schedule line becomes due for shipping. When you create an outbound deliver, you initiate shipping activities such as picking and transportation scheduling.
A delivery is processed through one shipping point. Which shipping point carries out the processing for a delivery can be determined automatically during order processing or you can specify it manually in the order.
The system carries out the following activities when an outbound delivery is created:
Checks the order and materials to make sure the outbound delivery is possible (for example, it checks for delivery blocks or incompleteness)
Determines the delivery quantity of an item and checks the availability of the material
Calculates the weight and volume of the delivery
    Calculates work expenditure
Packs the outbound delivery according to the reference order
Checks the delivery situation of the order and any partial delivery agreements
    Redetermines the route
    Adds information relevant for export
Checks delivery scheduling and changes deadlines (if necessary)
    Assigns a picking location
Carries out batch determination (if material is to be handled in batches)
Creates an inspection lot if the material must pass a quality check
Updates sales order data and changes order status
A shipping point can be determined for each order item. How the shipping point is determined depends on three factors:
The shipping conditions from the customer master record (Shipping screen)
For example, it might have been agreed with the customer that the goods are to be delivered as soon as possible.
The loading group from the material master record (Sales/Plant Data screen)
You could, for example, specify a loading group that defines that the goods must always be loaded with a crane or a forklift.
    The delivering plant
A route can be determined for every order item. Determining the route in the sales order depends on the following factors:
Country and departure zone of the shipping point
Shipping condition from the sales order
For example, it might have been agreed with the customer that the goods are to be delivered as soon as possible.
Transportation group from the material master record (Sales/Plant Data screen)
You can use the transportation group to group together goods with the same characteristics (for example, bulky goods or goods that must be transported in refrigerated trucks).
Country and transportation zone of the ship-to party (Control screen in the customer master record)
You can create a single outbound delivery for exactly one order, if you know the order number. Only the order items from this order that are due for shipment will be included in the delivery. You can make changes to the shipping data, if necessary.
    Procedure
To create an individual outbound delivery, proceed as follows:
From shipping, choose Outbound Delivery ® Create ® Single Document ® With Reference to Sales Order.
The initial screen for creating outbound deliveries appears.
    Enter the appropriate shipping point.
    Specify the selection date.
You can only deliver schedule lines whose material availability date or transportation scheduling date is the same as or falls before the selection date.
The current date is proposed by the system as the selection date.
If you only want to deliver some of the order items, specify the appropriate item numbers in the from item and to item fields.
    Select Enter.
    Please Reward If Really helpful,
    Thanks and Regards,
