Pick Slip report gives 'No Data Found' output

Hi All,
Problem Statement:
Iam unable to generate Pick release report, the shipping
lines status is "ready to release" and we have a available quantity for the shipment.
Step1 : Create a Order.
Step2 : Save and Book the Order.
Step3 : Pick Release the Order.
Step4 : Go To " View My Requests".
Step5 : Select the Request Id " Pick Slip Report "
Step6 : Click on Output.
Result " No Data Found.

Pick Slip report gives you out put as NO DATA FOUND, is basically, bcos there has not been any picking of the item, reason may be,
1. Qty avaialble wont be reservable and transactable
Check in Inventory> On handqty > click availibility tab
And see whether the item is available to transact & reserve.
If you have enought qty thn you shld be able to pick release tht item.
2. Check which sub inventory are you using while pick release, is it the same as where the item is kept.
Try this out.

BUG:Pressing Enter in Form gives no data found

The accept procedure which is the generic
handler for the forms needs to know the form
id, and other parameter that are set by the
doevent javascript function, invoked when a button is clicked. Instead of clicking the button(s), if user presses enter, the accept procedure will not know which form to instantiate as a result it throws a no data found error.
Possible solution:
1. Adding javascript to cancel keypress by using the keypress event. Does not work.
2. Form level javascript to detect keypresses. For this you need to allow us to access the <HEAD></HEAD> in the form. We need to add javascvript which detects the type of browser and modifies the keypress detection accordingly.

Worksheet imported to Portlet gives No Data Found

I’m having a problem on being able to import a Discoverer worksheet within a portlet. I build the worksheet in Discoverer and am able to successfully generate results. However after importing into Portal and attempting to run a query I get no data found from the query. I’m also using a simple parameter form that has 5 values. One of the values is a parameter used in a condition that must match with a column in the database that is made up of a character and a number, i.e. A1, A2, etc. Whenever I attempt to generate the report without the use of this particular parameter, the report appears even though it is not the true result that I want. I realize that this description is rather generic but if anyone has run into the same issue it would be helpful to know what the problem was. I.e. having a worksheet give correct results in Discoverer Plus but not getting the expected results when imported to a portlet perhaps with using a simple parameter form.
I’m using Discoverer Plus 10.1.2.1 and Portal Builder (i.e. Application Server 10.1.2).

Show PTO BOM item price on pick slip report

We're an EBS 11.5.10.2 install, and I've created a Kit (PTO Item)-style BOM and am able to successfully order/pick/pack/ship my kit.
I've also set the profile option to explode the BOM on order Entry (rather than on Book) so I can see the components.
We have a customized XML-based Pick Slip Report that shows line pricing that our shipping dept uses to determine freight insurance value.
My problem is that only the top level item (the kit) has a price on it (even though the individual components have pricing, they come into the order as 0.00 when they are part of the kit) and only the components print on the pick slip, thus showing a zero dollar amount on the pick slip report.
Does anyone know of a way to have the individual component pricing come over to the pick slip or, even better, to show in the order lines themselves? (I may want to adjust pricing at the component level).

For this i have taken .xml and generated .rtf according to my layout and i have registered with XML publisher also.it is correct . But while running the report i am geting output as XML codes not in template(wht i have .rtf) format.
if i have to see the output in template from. (i have taken in conc program output as XML also) still same problem.
please help me if anybody having solutions.

Hi Valli,
1:The first thing i would suggest that please check the BI Publisher version you are using (on apps/and on template builder also).
2: In any case if your report is not picking up the template and generating the xml output , i suggest you to attach one program "XML Report Publisher" in your SRS.
Oncwe you run your report and its generate the xml output. you have to take the request id & from view ---> submit request--->XML Report Publisher. run this request again.
it will ask for the request id , select the appropriate request id and it will generate the pdf output as per your requirement.
But this is temporary solution , i strongly recommend you to check the updated version of BI Publisher and instaal it on your oracle apps instance. also use the updated version of bi publisher for Layout(Template Builder).

Custom Pick Slip Report

Hello All,
I am developing a custom BI report for seeded Pick Slip report.
Report is working fine when submitted manually.
But when the report is submitted from pick release window, the PDF output is not generated.
I noted the following,
All the programs completed normally. No errors or warnings.
Custom report says no output file generated while clicking the view output button.
Layout is empty, report didnt pick the template file.
Any ideas. Is this the normal functionality of Pick Slip report. Whn the report will produce ourput file. Any profile options or setups.

PickSlips are run using document sets when launched thru Pick Release : (OM(R)> Setup> Shipping> Documents> Document Sets)
In EBS 11i, document set are not integrated with XMLP without the following patch:

Pick Slip Report

We defined "delivery" as our pick slip grouping rule. We have Sales Orders that contain multiple lines going to the same ship to location. However, the pick slip report prints multiple pages with only one line per page.
Oracle Support told us that Rel 11i uses stock locator as one of its grouping criteria. This is in the code. Most customers define stock locators to store inventory of one item and certainly not every item. Therefore, there is a one to one relationship between an item and its stock locator. Given this, how do other OM customers print pick slips that contain more than one item/line per page?
Oracle Support claims that can't be done unless the items all reference the same stock locator. I find this hard to believe.

Requirement to show parent item on Pick Slip report

rdf file of pick slip is not giving parent item in the output. I added a sql query to get the parent item details from oe_order_lines_all. Since the query is at a different level, I could not show parent item and its related child items in sequence.
does any one have similar problem......please let me know how u have fixed it

Report shows "No data found" when validation fails

Hi folks,
I'm new to the OTN and have a short question regarding validations/report pagination.
We are using Apex 4.0.2.00.07.
I have a page containing a report with three columns.
First column is a checkbox (f30), the second one a date picker and the third one is a value field (f34).
I'm trying to build a validation for the value field (should only allow numeric values, but is varchar2) and used a validation with "Function Returning Boolean".
The PL/SQL code is:

The validation works fine, but every time I enter a non numeric value and the validation fails (error message is displayed correctly as notification) I get a "report error: ORA-01403: no data found" in the pagination area of the report.
Tried to disable pagination completely, but the error still displays when the validation fails.
Any help would be appreciated.

Print link on report shows 'no data found' when LOV has not been used

Hi all,
I have a simple standard report that queries data based on the value in a Select List. This Select List allows users to pick a year for the report. The LOV has a default of TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,'YYYY').
If I open the page using the associated Tab everything wotks OK. However, if I open the page via a button on my home page, the prink links fails:
The page opens OK, the select list defaults OK and the report shows the correct data. However, if I click on the 'Download as CSV' or 'Print' links I get 'no data found'.
If I update the LOV to 2010 everything works. If I set it back to 2009 evenrything works. I just cant get it to work when I open the page.
I have tried adding computations to get this to work, but this does not seem to help.
Any ideas?

Hi,
It would depend on what has been added, if anything, to the redirect. The redirect should just function as though you had typed in a URL into the address bar and pressed Enter. The page doesn't get submitted, so any data entered onto the page itself is, unless it is already in session, lost. A button, however, should submit the page and Apex will store all values in the session. So, if the value you need for the LOV is from the previous page, then this is the preferred method - but, note, that the redirect can also store values provided the page item name and the value is included in the redirect's URL string
