Picking Location Determination with Situation

Dear all,
I have configured my Picking/Storage Location Determination:
/Transaction nolml / shipping / picking / determine picking location / storage location determination with situation.
Sitution: 21 (remove from stock standard),Storage Condition: nothing, SLoc: my SLoc How/ where do I use situation 21? Situation is part of what?

Currently, I have configured the picking location based on Plant/Shipping point/Storage condition, and only storage location 1234 is determined.
    Is there a way i could configure the the 2 storage locations as picking locations at different point in time.

    You can go to Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Picking -> Determine Picking Location -> Define Situations, you can use the standard one,
    After that maintain this situation for determination of Storage Location with combination of Situation, Stor. condition, Stor. Location through,

  • Picking location determination in delivery

    Hi All,
    Sorry if I am posting this question in wrong forum.
    I have configured the picking location using shipping point, plant and shipping condition.
    But when delivery is created the picking location is ignored which is configured. But when storage location is specified in sales order, the storage location is getting copied into delivery.
    The reason being our business process the material exists in 2 Storage locs . One is used for availability check and the other storage location we use to do TF posting and also do the PGI from there.
    Please help.

    Dear John,
    First of all picking location is determined based on shipping pointplant strorage condition.
    And you can assign only one storage location.If you want another Storage location change it in the delivery doc.
    Storage condition is assigned in the material master >plant data/ stro loc tab page.

  • Picking Location Determination

    Hi,
    we are getting error in determination of the picking storage location, while posting GR against Repair Request.
    Each Plant has two Slocs & one Shipping point
    Eg. Plant - 1100,   Slocs 1) SDEL 2)RDEL , Shipping Point -  SDEL
    the default has been defined for SDEL - 1100 - SDEL.
    Return Repair Request  is created with the Shipping Point -  SDEL & Sloc - RDEL.
    while posting PGR with VRRE, the Sloc determined  is SDEL instead of RDEL.
    However, when we create the Sales Document for Sales Return, the same combination of SDEL & RDEL works perfectly well.
    Delivery Type is same for Return Repair Request & Sales Return.
    However, the Item Category is different for both. But i am not sure whether this matters.
    need some help on this.

    Hi Sujata,
    Please check with the enhancement for - Control in Copy control from Order to delivery.
    For a user exit to default the storage location at line item level in sales order which gets copied to the delivery. (SOURCE_DETERMINATION user exit FORM USEREXIT_SOURCE_DETERMINATION in program MV45AFZB ).
    This will help you to carry the item level data which you have entered manually to sequent documents.

    Pleaae do the following :
    1.Check in OMIR keep the indicator as  Blank  (IMG-Production-MRP-Planning-Define Storage Location MRP per Plant-It should not be 1 OR 2 .
    2.Make sure that materials in those storage loaction should not have indicator 1/2 in MRP4 view .
    Bssically , you do nto need to change any configuration setup in case  because it will by defalut as Blnak in OMIR -means all the  materials in varioaus storage location are MRP relevent .Those storage location should be under plant which hase activated for MRP (spro-mrp-activate MRP for Plant )

    Go to IMG-->Logistics Execution >Shipping> Picking -->Determine Picking Location -->Define Rules for Picking Location Determination.  There you have to assign the MALA rule to your delivery type
    Also maintain in OMJ8 and in material master under MRP2 view the default storage location in the field "Prod. stor. location"

  • Situation in Storage Location Determination

    I have a scenario where I have to determine a different storage location based on the sales doc type. On searching the forum here I learnt that I should use USER EXIT to achieve this.
    I want to know whether I can use situations to handle this scenario.
    I am able to define situations. But where can I assign these situations? In SO or Delivery document?
    Will be thankful if anybody helps me out in this issue regarding the 'situation'

    Storage Locations are Determined in the delivery document based on The priority rules like MALA or RETA or MARE
    Here the RETA rule is Storage Location Determination determination based on shipping pt + delivering plant and Situation
    The difference between MALA and RETA is these two are same (shipping pt + delivering plant)
    MALA  uses storage conditions as the third factor
    RETA  uses situation  as the third factor
    RETA  is used in trading scenario
    But both of these are used or assigned to  delivery types only via t code OVLQ
    So using situation will not help you to Determine Storage Location  in sales doc type
    Storage location is normally not determined in sales order
    It is determined only in delivery
    If you want storage location to be determined for sales order then you have to use user exit
    If storage location is specified manually in sales order then it is copied into delivery
    Otherwise it is determined using either MALA,RETA or MARE rules which we specify in delivery doc type
    For sales order you have to use usetr exit in program MV45AFZZ
    To determine storage location in Sale Order, there is no configuration available and it has to be achieved using exit USEREXIT_SOURCE_DETERMINATION in program MV45AFZB.
    Maintain a zee table with the values based on which you want the storage location determination to happen. In the exit ask your abaper to write the code to pick up the relevant records based on the criterion and then fetch the storage location. This way storage location will be automatically populated in the sale order.
    You can try incompletion procedure option
    Put the storage location field in the sales order item incompletion procedure

  • Another tax determination code being picked up along with right tax determination code during creation of BBP

    Hi Experts,
    There is an issue I am facing while creating BBP, the slices in table DFKKMOP are having another tax determination code being picked up along with the right tax detemination code.
    E.g. -> In EK02 for the BBP I have configured tax determination code ZA for main 0051 and sub 0050 for all the company codes, but it is also picking ZX  which I have configured for main 100 - sub 202,203 , main - 200 sub 202,203 , main 300- sub 202,203.
    Strangely In the table DFKKMOP the tax determination code ZX is coming in the line which has main 0051 and sub 0050.
    I dont understand why ZX is being shown in the field BB grouping - Budget Billing: Grouping Key for Tax Determination Code.
    I have double checked the customizing in EK02 and I dont find this tax determination code being defined for main 0051/sub 0050, then why is it being picked up for BBP line item in table DFKKMOP.
    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Well the issue was during creation of BBP items in DFKKMOP the VAT corresponding to Main/Sub 100/ 3xx was being picked up and when I adapted the tax determination code there. The items was created without any split.
    For the second one PA issue, well in this case the tax determination in the standard during the creation of PA invoice via EA27 is happening on the date of execution and not on the selection date or posting date. This is because in SPRO the config. of invoicing <<Define Basic Settings for Invoicing>>
    has <<Date type for tax determination in Invoicing for Part. Bills.>> set to <<tax determination in invoicing based on entry date>> that is why it takes the execution date into  consideration.So even when we do a posting for SOLLDAT in future to take another tax code it doesnt take that SOLLDAT instead takes todays execution date for which the new tax code is not valid.
    To overcome this issue either we need to make the new tax code valid from date in past ie. before the date of execution or we need to change this parameter in customizing <<Define Basic Settings for Invoicing>> to <<tax determination in invoicing based on Posting date>>.

  • Material determination with Product selection

    Hi SAP Gurus
    We are using material determination with product selection. The process is that customer will send in one product in a sales order. At the time of doing ATP we have to look for about three or four possible alternatives and confirm that alternative which has the highest stock level depending on the ATP situation. We have configured material determination with SAP standard substitution reason’0006’ to take care of this. The problem with this is that this creates two line items in sales order as the item substituted is shown as a sub-item of the material entered. We do not want to have two line items in a sales order for this. Is there a way we can do material determination with product selection (Based on ATP) and have the item substituted replace the item entered in a sales order? In other words we do not want to see two line items in a sales order. The substitute item should simply replace the original item and the material entered could be stored in field VBAP-MATWA. I have gone through all the standard SAP documentation which clearly states that in order to material determination based on ATP we have to use outcome A or B both of which create a sub-item.
    I was wondering if there is any workaround or if there is any user exit in which we can replace the original item with the substituted item?? Any help or any direction will be highly appreciated.
    Another question is if we were to use APO for doing global/Rule based ATP is it possible to get rid of the double line items. We have also tried to use rule based ATP in APO and use product/location substitution in our sandbox system to see if we can get back only one line item. But even in that case we do get a sub item.     In the substitution reasons ...mark the OUTCOME as blank for this particular 0006. I am not sure for ATP

    for one of my delivery type i had defined shipping point determination as per following.
    define shipping conditions
    define loading group
    assign shipping points: with combination of shipping conditionsloading groupplantprop shippping pointmanual shiping point.
    i also checked the cmr and mmr both are correct.still system is not proposing shipping point and storage locatgion in my obd

    Shipping conditions is taken from sold to party
    Pls check whether you are using a different SP and SH
    Check in these t codes
    In OVL2 are you seeing the shipping pt determination for your combination?
    In OVL3 are you seeing the storage location determination for your combination?
    If yes then shipping pt will be definately picked up in sales order
    Storage location will be definately picked up in the delivery if you have assigned the rule MALA in OVLK
    Have you assigned your delivering plant to your shipping pt in enterprise structure assignment?
    This also check
    Refresh the whole order and try again
    If need be log out of SAP and relog and see provided you have youR OVL2 and OVL3 correct?
    Note If shipping conditions are assigned to your order type in VOV8 then that will have priority over the shipping conditions of SP
    So for that combination you should maintain shipping pt in OVL2

    Is there a difference between picking storage location-determination of return-deliveries (delivery type u201CRL Returns (pur.ord.)u201D/return to vendor) on 4.6C compared to ECC6.0? Is there a SAP-note?
    Within 4.6C-system the storage location is determined based on the customizing settings (Logistics Execution \ Shipping \ Picking \ Determine Picking Location \Assign Picking Locations).
    Within ECC6.0-system the storage location in the return-delivery is always the storage location that is entered in the Return-Purchase Order. It seems like the customizing-settings are no longer beeing taken into account.

    This storace location-determination of return-deliveries (delivery type RL) in customozing that you mention is only true within the 4.6C-system. Within the ECC6.0-system the storage lcoation is always the one that is entered in the return-purchase order. In ECC6.0 the customizing settings you are refering to a no longer valid for deliveries with delivery type RL.
    The questions is why/ and is there an OSS note.

  • Storage location determination.

    Hi,
    I have one plant. and two stroage locations.In sto.loc 1 the total quantity is 100 and in sto.loc2 the total quantity is 50. so total quantity in the plant is 150.
    While iam creating the sales order for 120 quantity the system is confirming the quantity. While doing the delivery the system automatically picks the sto.loc2 and shows delivery quantity as 50.
    my question is why it is showing the Sto.loc2 instead of sto.loc1.
    please give me the reason.

    Storage location in Delivey is either Determine from MRP2 View Prod strorage location field ( If there is no Rule assign to delivry type for determining storage location ) 
    Generally if u go to Delivery type u will see a field name Rule to determine storage location for EG MALA ( This rule determine storage location as Shipping point + Plant = Storage location)
    If this rule is there then it will take preceedence over Material master .
    To see this rule and assignmnet
    Goto ->spro -> Logistic execution ->picking ->Detemine picking location .

    I am trying to get batched with shelf life larger than 370.
    We are in ECC6.0 and the note applies to releases up to 4.5. I read the note and also tried it but the characteristic does not take a range; only a numberic value. For => 370 I get an error. The date for SLED calculated for batch determination (from the batch determination analysis for a test) as shown below:
