Picking text types against a SD dcoument

HI
My requirement is that we need to pick text maintained to a particular sales document number in the o/p
I am not able to get the link as to how to find particular text against a SD document number
Can anyone please suggest a method to link the SD document number (SO/Delivery/Billing) so as to pick the text maintained against the particular transaction

Dear Sunil Srinivasan,
Use the Function Module Tx: SE37:READ_TEXT to pick the text from the sales document
Eg: if you are trying to pick the text from Sales document header,
Then go to function module , here in selection screen,
Client:
Text ID: ( which you will find in sales document header -select detail icon, you will find the text ID)
Language:
Text Name: Sales document no
Object: VBBK
text will be appeared in "results" , print this to output form.

When you perform MIGO against PO WE is Generated
When you perform MIRO against PO then RE-L is Generated
When in your PO there is freight condition (say FRA1,FRB1) and you perform MIGO then BzWe is generated for the freight cost
When in your PO there is freight condition (say FRA1,FRB1) and you perform MIRO for delivery cost then BzRe is generated for the freight cost
Test a cycle with PO with freight ->perform MIGO-> MIRO ( both for material and freight )
You can see all these in your PO history

You canr use text modules in script. You have to use standard texts .
Standard text are maintained in SO10 transaction.
you can create translation text for other languages also . So based on logon language it will print translation text.
go to SO10
give textname it say Ztextname id as ST and language as EN
say create, then you will get editor there maintain your text and save it . then come back . Now change language (say for german DE) say create and eneter translation text and save it.
so now you have created a text called ztextname which you can use in your script.
Inorder to insert the texts in your script do as below
go to any window editor and select path
Insert->texts->symbols->standard symbols
then you will get popup in which you have to mention all the parameters that you have created earlier.
after inserting just change language EN to sy-langu

IC Webclient - Changing values in Text Type -Log in view IRecReason.htm

Hi,
I m working on IRecReason.htm view, in the right hand side corner there is a place to add comments, the field is named as text types. All comments are then stored & visible in the Field named as "LOG" which is also one of the valus in the drop down. All the dropdown values are maintained in Spro Text Management. I want to remove one of the fields form the the 'LOG' any pointers will be of great help.

Extract Text Types from CRM Service Order

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement where we need to extract the Text Types and texts from a the Item Details of a CRM Service Order.
I know it's not ideal to have large strings of text in BW but it is needed by the business.
Can anyone point me to the table that contains the Text Types and associated texts?
When I F1 on the field, nothing happens.

If you need to create that, you need to go ABAP development. In sap Audit management is not a sophasticated tool for all kind of audits. In the Audit component only you will find the extra text type Audit location. other than that you will find description and note.

Text Type (short - long) in F4 selection help (web)

How can I change the the text type (short - medium - long) in the F4 help for a variable on the web? Currently the short text is always displayed and I want to show the medium text.
I had the idea the setting 'text type' (in rsa1\infoobject maintenance\ tab bex) is responsible for this, but changing this setting has no effect. I also tried to change this in the query designer (infobject properties \ display as), again without result.
The query is based on an InfoSet.

Hi, you can try to change the transfer rules setting matching the medium text from the source system to the long text in the infoObject and then change the infoObject text properties. I have the same problem with the infoObject with only the short and medium description. In the F4 i can have only the short description.

The tutorial says that the text box, should be text type Dynamic, but the only choices are TLF and Classic
Since the Classic closed the Instance name box, I chose TLF text.
When I test the scene, I get a blank screen, instead of a "Hello World" greeting. Is there a way around this?

I want to check if a text type in a notification is filled or not for a specific user status. I guess that can be done using the BADI "ORDER_SAVE", but not sure how to do that.

Hello Erkan.
You can use the function module CRM_ORDER_READ_OW in method check_before_save of BADI ORDER_SAVE.
Fill the header_guid of the notification into the it_header_guid table parameter and get the returning table ET_TEXT.
For performance reason you should provide importing parameter it_requested_objects.
INCLUDE CRM_DIRECT.
APPEND gc_object_name-texts TO it_required_objects.
Then you can check in et_Text if the required text is maintained. If not, you can raise the exception DO_NOT_SAVE in the BADI.

PO Version Mgmt Control by Text Type

We currently have Version Management active for Purchase Order for when 'Item Text' is changed/updated on the purchase order, yet Version Management does not invoke for other purchase order item/header texts changes.
Does anyone know where in configuration this control is set for purchase order text types?

System takes fields of tables EKKO, EKPO, EKET and ADRC into account.

Dear All,
There are some details which my client has asked to maintain in the sales order and this needs to be copied in the purchase order ouput, if I maintain a text type in my sales order and this same text type is maintained in the purchase order can the information get copied in the purchase order thru an ABAP run programe and then can data be removed as a purchase order output.
Data is maintained in text type.

Use of text types possible in C4C activity?

In CRM 7.0 (on prem) it is possible to use specific text types when submitting activity notes (appointmens, phone calls) which help to cluster the text information. I haven't seen that there is something similar in C4C. There is only one "Notes" text field - and that's it. Is there any possibility in C4C to categorize/index note texts?

As of now, multiple text types are not available but you can go for the alternate approaches. There are couple of alternate approaches and their limitations as well:
1. You can create new custom field called 'Text Type' and make this field as List type. Maintain your         text types in list. Now you can segregate your text based the text type in activity screen.
    Limitation: One activity will contain only one text type.
2. You can leverage the attachment functionality. You can write the minutes of meeting in the word           file\text file and attach them using attachment functionality. You can store all document related the       minutes of meeting.
    Limitation: Time consuming. To know the details you have open all the attachments.
3. You can utilize standard notes functionality itself. Whenever you maintain the notes keep date and        time before adding the notes. This way you can track and document your minutes of meeting.
     There is no limitation of characters. For every visit you can add the notes keeping date and time.
Hope above alternate approaches solve your issues.
