Picking through strategy M (small and large quantities)

Hi SAP Gurus
we are using picking strategy as M (small and large quantities). In the materials, we have have defined control quantity as 30 cs. So when a transfer order is created for more than 30 cs, system picks from 001 storage type and if TO quantity is less than 30 cs, system picks from 002 storage type. This is working fine.My picking sequence is: 001 then 002. But when there is no stock in 001, system doesnt suggest to go and pick from 002 automatically.
we would like system to go to storage type 002 and pick from there if there isn't any stock left in 001. I need this urgently, how should I make this work.
Regards
Madhu.

Hi Sandeep,
Check the Storage type search seq sequence in storage type search seq . first storage should be the storage type where u are going to store smallest quantity; for the second storage type in the sequence you enter the storage type for the medium size quantity, and so on..........
In your scenario for strategy-m the seq has to be smaller stype to higher. so it should be 002 and then 001. so the system pick up all small qty from 002 and then moves to 002. any alteration you need probably need to use user exit.
Best Regards
Madhu

    Hi cowboyincognito,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you don't have the option to play music by genre on your iPhone, try this step to find the Genre option:
    Browse your music library.
You can browse your music by playlist, artist, or other category. For other browse options, tap More. Tap any song to play it.
To rearrange the tabs in the Music app, tap More, then tap Edit and drag a button onto the one you want to replace.

  • How do you plan RMAN backup for small and Large DBs ?

    DB version:11.2.0.3/RHEL 5.8
I have 2 scenarios for which I was asked to come up with Backup strategies by the application stakeholders.
I have devised the following strategies . Any comments ?
    Scenario 1
    ===========
I have a large DB of 4TB in size. This DB is very critical and acceptable downtime for this DB is only 30 minutes. My Backup strategy: Incrementally updated Backup using Image copy to FRA
    Scenario2:
    ===========
DB sizes vary from 40gb to 800gb. Acceptable downtime : 1 hour
My Backup strategy : cumulative incremental backup to tape

Only testing you will get the answer.
I've seen many cases the technology is adequate but the procedure is wrong.
Oracle provides multiple ways to perform database recovery.
You need to create recovery scenario for each type of failure. (such as Storage failure, block corrupted, Human errors, etc)
Eg: The User deleted data from a table causing major outage in its application.
What is the procedure to be followed?
The simplest is to restore the data using flashback (based Undo) which can take seconds.
(note: Flashback using undo based does not need feature flashback database enabled).
Believe the main cause of failures in databases today are caused by human error and that sometimes can be resolved simply and quickly.
    About Backup/Restore strategies:
"Speed" you usually depends on the hardware resources available to you achieving the desired time.
I can post here a ton of options, but I think your answer will be answered in the tests and procedures (scripts) already prepared to perform this restore.

  • WM - Stock removal strategy: small/large quantities

I have two different storage types: one to remove small quantities of a
product (with negative stocks available) and one for the large ones. In
the material master record I have established for a product that
quantities lower than 50 units are removed from the first storage type.
I also have defined for the product one stock removal rule (to search
for material in the two storage types)
When I don't have enough available stock in my small quantities storage
type, the system always search for stock in the other storage type
(although I asked for 10 units), but what I need really is to have a
negative available stock in this storage, and I will do a reposition.
It's not correct that for small quantities it searchs in the large
    quantities storage type.
If in the stock removal rule I'd only put the small quantities storage
type, then I get negative available stock in the storage type, but,
logically, the system then doesn't find from where to remove large
    quantities.
    Thank you

    Hi Paloma,
I hope defined the strategies for both the storage types (for large and small qty.) what about the the negative stocks, how are you going to do the configuration. Mostly what you can do is, you can allow the negative stocks for that particular storage type, but you can't guide the system to create negative quants if the quantity is small.
    Hope it is helpful

    I keep getting this error,
A page item on page 'SCHEDULE' at location 34,488 requires rasterization, but is too large to rasterize. Resize it smaller and try again

This basically means that there is an object that has its top left corner at x: 34 y: 488 which is too large to be rasterized, it could be due to any large object that is extreme wide or tall.
Try to check page content and then resize it to verify the behavior. Please let me know how it goes.

  • Map listeners and write-through strategy.

    Hi.
Write-through strategy seems to be synchronious operations and if it fails, no data should appear in cache. Logically this means, that no events will be produced if the persisting fails (that's what we exactly need). But could not find any mention about this in documentation. Can anyone verify this?
    Thanks, Anton.

If you are talking about throwing an exception in your CacheStore code,
it will happen before anything occurs in the internal cache managed by
Coherence and no events will be generated (that would have been generated
under normal cases where the operation succeeded.)

  • I have a 22 inch monitor set at 150% but since I installed Firefox, the font is too small and the screen is too small. Cannot make font or screen larger. I can do Control++ each time I enter a page but don't want that to be my solution.

In control panel/display, I had my display set at 150% and at 1680 X 1050 resolution. This filled my 22 inch screen with the page content. Now that I have installed Firefox, the font is too small and the content is centered in the screen leaving about3" per side of blank space. I want to fill the screen and make everything larger. Haven't found a way to do that. Firefox tells me in my control panel/display window that by setting my display at 150%, "some items may not fit in your screen if you choose this setting while your display is set to this resolution. It worked fine with Explorer.

  • Picking the value of PBEG and PEND incase of multiple entries 2002 on a day

    Hi Experts,
Our client's business requirement is to have provision handling multiple entries multiple entries of same subtype of IT 2002 on same day with different Time entries. For example one IT 2002 Styp 1 has entry 10 am to 14 pm & other entry of IT 2002 styp 1 as 14 pm to 16 pm.
In this scenario I want to have TWT with start time of 1st 2002 record i.e 10 & another TWT with end time of last 2002 record i.e. 16.
I have written a PCR as
    OUTTPORIGS Origin status
        COLOP*     TIP  >TOP curr.TType
      P
        HRS=PBEG   Set
        ADDDB90T3  Add to day balance
        HRS=PEND   Set
        ADDDB90T4  Add to day balance
But its giving me value of 2002 start time  as (1014=24) & END time (1416=30) respectively.
Since TIP will have entries with origin E & A as well with P  and any entry can be 1st or last entry depending on time, I can't use VRSTFIRST & VARSTLAST.
Please suggest me how to handle such scenario through PCR. Is there a way we can make decision on From & To of TIP entries.
You can also suggest me if such need can be handled at masterdata level so that we can have just one entry
    Regards

    Hi All,
Please also suggest me a better operation to pick the value of PBEG and PEND incase of multiple entries various subtypes of 2002 on same day.I need to compare start- end time of 2002 with 2011 entries and calculate total attendence hrs. Once again, I can't use VRSTFIRST & VRSTLAST as 1st & last TIP entry could be come from any infotype viz 2011,2002, 2001.

  • In my Macbook Pro finder folder under All Images, there are duplicate files, but one is small and the other is full size. I wanted to clean up the files, but don't know why I have two of everything. Any Ideas?

In my Macbook Pro, the Finder folder has duplicate images in the 'all images' file. One image is small and the other is full size. First question is why do I have two of every image? Why is one small and the other large. Do I need two of everything? If not, which do I delete?
    thanks, Jean

    Hello fane,
    Re: duplicate images in finder.
Nearly all images are JPG with a few GIF and PNG sprinkled in.
I opened the inspector so I do get info when opening each image, but it a slow process.
It seems that one image is around 70k while its twin can be up to 4Mb which is what comes unedited from my camera. Sometimes there will be 3 or 4 identical images in finder, but when I open iPhoto to see what ‘s really in the file, I find only one image, and it’s full sized.
Are all these extra images, even if they are aliases, taking up space on my drive? And should I delete them? The info bar says I have over 10,000 images, which is rather a lot  for what I do.
I am unable to add the file size on the view menu as it is grayed out. Don’t know why it’s gray, but having that info on the screen would save a lot of time and fiddling with each image.
I am trying to resize selected pix so I can upload them to e-bay, which requires less than 70k. I have looked at resizing programs but most are for PC platform and not Mac, so I am trying to resize in the finder window under tools. Tedious at best. Any suggestions will be appreciated

  • Copying large quantities of files weirdness

    Hi,
Over the past few years I have noticed that the process of copying large quantities files can act strangely.
    Weirdness #1
As the copying process nears the end, the progress bar will get all the way to the right and it will keep on copying, with the size of the files to be copied EXCEEDING the actual size of the items I am copying (X mbs of Y mbs are copied and X gets LARGER than Y!)
That didn't happen today but I thought I'd mention it. It happens alot.
What did happen today is weirdness #2
I bought a new external drive, a Western Digital 320gb PC/Mac formatted drive. I threw out the few files that showed up when I connected it, mostly PC-related but one Read Me I could read. I then looked around the internet (Apple's site wasn't much help) to see if I should reformat i, to get rid of the FAT(32?) and how. I decided I would and found some instructions, re-partitioned it, erased it and then re-partitioned it again. (I should have done the erase first but all seemed well after it all...I checked it with DIsc Utility and it found nothing wrong.)
Anyway, so I start to bring files over. I thought about using SuperDuper but couldn't understand it's options so I just copied EVERYTHING in my root folder, typing in my admin password when needed and accepting that not everything would actually go over. Most would and that is enough for me now.
    Now comes the weirdness.
I watched as the files get copied and the time calculation goes from 28 hours to 2, as it copied 197,807 files (give or take a few), about 61 GB, which is what is on the Powerbook. Two hours and we're almost done.
The weirdness comes now. As the copying gets to about 20 minutes left (I didn't notice how many GB I was away from being done but it must have been in the 50s, so only 10 GB or so to go), the whole process STARTS OVER AGAIN! I didn't cry because I have seen this kind of thing before. I assumed if there was a bug with this new drive, or if I had formatted it incorrectly, that it would either work this second time or not. If it didn't I would cancel the third attempt and call for help.
It did finish. It probably got only about 10gb into the second round and then it finished suddenly!
    What is going on!
Is this (are these two things?) a known bug with the Finder?
I have been using OSX for about 3 years now. Weirdness #1 happens occasionally. #2 may have happened before but is rarer.
    Thanks for any help.
    Cheer,
    John L

First of all, I have had problems copying large files with Tiger. For the most part, the system behaves itself, but occasionally, things go wrong or take way too long. However, I should note that 95% of these problems have been with FAT32 formatted drives.
Okay, first of all, I'm hoping this external drive you bought has FireWire. If it does, use FireWire 400 instead of USB 2.0, it's twice the speed (contrary to what the specs might lead you to believe). Of course, if it has FireWire 800, you should use that.
Backing up is brilliant, more people should do this. That's a VERY smart thing to do.
If SuperDuper gives you problems. Try something called iBackup. I've been using it a lot and it's brilliant. You put check marks on the files/folders you want backed up and it backs it all up for you whenever you want. You can even set specified times in the day for it to backup. It's free, you can get it here:
    http://grapefruit.ch/ibackup/
My Seagate external hard drive's manual recommends that you format any hard drive that is to be used on a Mac to Mac OS (extended journaled) format to prevent data loss. It also says it's better that you use third-party software to allow the Windows to read Mac OS formatted disks than it is to leave your disk FAT32 formatted.
Reasons to use Mac OS format instead of FAT32:
    • Extends spotlight searches to your external drive
    • Allows files to be larger than 4 GB
    • The Mac can read and edit it more quickly
    • The drive name doesn't have to be in all caps and limited to like 8 characters
    hope this helps!

  • Web Gallery - need file name on thumbnail and large image

I think I have tried all the CS3 templates, but haven't found what our client is requesting. Is there a template that shows the file name on both the thumbnail and large image, and will make large images of 600-800 pixels (long dimension)?
    Thanks in advance,
    Dan Clark

Thanks for your reply Nini. Yes, I had gone through all the presets and options. Was hoping I might have missed something, or that someone knew a trick/workaround. We've been using Table-Minimal for years, which is my overall favorite. I like to ability to make a large image, but it can't do what the client is requesting. They've made a list of selects from some very large galleries (200-300 shots each), and now want to jump directly to the shots they've previously chosen, in order to show their coworkers. I've also considered "Add Numeric Links", but I find that either confuses people, or they give me that number, instead of the file name/number, which makes a lot of extra work for us.

  • Scale image from small to large(r) without losing resolution

Does anyone know how I can create a "scale action" of an image on a slide from small to large without losing the resolution of the image. Now, when I reduce the size of an image as a starting size and use Scale from the inspector to scale the image to e.g. 200% the images looks very blurred. I want the image in the larger form to have a good resolution.
    Thanks for your help.

That's an interesting bug you've identified -- an image that is reduced by 50% and then scaled up to 200% with a Scale action looks blurrier than the original image at 100%. It seems like Keynote is scaling up the reduced image, rather than "removing the reduction" on the original.
One solution that works well is to make a copy of your original image at the final size you want the scaled image to be, then place this copy on top of the scaling image, and build it in immediately after the scaling action with a dissolve build in that starts automatically after the scaling action. What this will do is give you the scaling effect, but at the final size, the full(er) resolution version will dissolve on top of the lower-res version. This procedure is more cumbersome than having the scaling effect work properly, but the result is quite acceptable, and the second dissolve build is pretty much imperceptible.
